In fact, I just went tonight (June 30, 2026) and I only ordered their Jr cheeseburger and an order of fries and it brought back memories of their food from 25 to 30 years ago! Great little burger shop, Parking lot is a little sketchy since the lines are so worn out it's not visible. It feels like they are going through a transition of owners. For being a fast food restaurant, this place was pretty good. Clean restaurants and nice customer service. The burgers are pretty good and the BLT's with avocado are delicious. Oh and my favorite, the zucchini fries! The only thing I didn't like was the pastrami sandwich, it use to be good but nowadays it's very greasy and having a few bites upset my stomach so had to stop eating it. Good But Overpriced Food With Poor Service Under New Ownership/Management My family and I first started going to P & G decades ago, even before it moved to its current location. For a long time, it provided good food at decent prices. I believe it's changed ownership or management a couple times during its history. The quality of the food has remained relatively good, but the prices have become less reasonable. Making matters worse, the service is now, at best, hit or miss. A couple weeks ago, I ordered my usual pastrami breakfast burrito with pico de gallo and chopped yellow chilis. I've been ordering the same burrito for at least a decade. As usual, it was delicious and was made with no problems. Yet, when I ordered the same thing yesterday (plus an extra for a friend), I was suddenly told that the chopped yellow chilis had to be approved by the owner. When I stated he had approved them in the past, the lady cashier (without even bothering to ask the owner) then said the cook refused to add them. When I, again, explained that this had never been an issue before, I was told they would only include the chilis on the side. Frankly, this made no sense. They're charging $15 (after tax) for a burrito and they're demanding I put it together but only after I also cut up the chilis. What kind of ridiculous nonsense is this? Heck, the burrito's already overpriced by about $2, as I can get the same for about $12 (before tax) from Brea's Best in Brea, and they'll include the chopped chilis along with both red and green salsa on the side. Well let me start with this place used to be decent. That being said, now, it is absolutely horrible. From the service to the food. Absolutely horrible. I got a chefs salad, you would think, pretty basic, right? Wrong. The ground beef tacos would be really good if they were to let the oil drip out a lil longer. The zucchini fries are good but then again there's the oil issue. So everything is just okay. Typical burger stand. The dining area is always clean which is a plus. But their trash receptacles are so full every time I eat there and I hate having to see a pile of trash spilling over the top and wonder how I'm going to throw my trash.
