Great hold in the wall diner in downtown Glendora! They have outside seating as well as inside seating. Bar seating has a very vintage retro feel to it and there are a variety of food to choose from. Some people will says it's cramped inside. I got the European/English breakfast and it was delicious. The hash browns were my favorite part!! Great portion. Two of the servers were having a bad day and you can kinda of notice it affect their work but we just ended up talking to them and lighten the mood. This place is a GEM in downtown Glendora. I finding myself stopping in at least once a week nowadays for multiple reasons. 1.THE SOUP 2. The hamburgers. Last week they made chicken wonton, I can't wait till they make it again. Today I enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup which was top-notch. The chicken wonton soup that I enjoyed last week was over-the-top good and I can't stop thinking about it and I have called almost every day since then to ask if Ed had made it, unfortunately he has not. Everything in between has been good including the pea soup as well as his chicken tortilla soup. The quantities are not extremely large but are plenty filling. I can't say enough about the hamburger patty itself and the brioche bun is top notch. If you're looking for a quality burger you would be hard-pressed to find something better than this one. This is a hidden gem of a diner along the gumdrop-shaped trees of downtown Glendora. It is airport-themed and showcases a lot of memorabilia on the walls and shelves. The service is fast and friendly. There is comfort food of all sorts to chose from: a proper English fry up, huevos rancheros, pancake stack, or an Irish Benedict to name a few. Never coming back. It is a small establishment but they appeared fully staffed with 5 wait staff on a Sunday. The staff were untrained, unprofessional, and overwhelmed. It was our first time there, we place a phone order. They say it'll be ready in 20 minutes. We get there to pick up our food and we're told it wasn't ready. We notice a bag on the counter but whatever. We waited another 20 minutes and the staff are just talking to each other while we wait in front of them. They were discussing how they messing up a few tables. After a few minutes they notice us. They charge us for the food first, and then reach for that same bag that has been sitting there. We express concern the food is cold. We ask to speak to a manager and they discuss amongst themselves and in front of me that there was no manager available. They give me a name of someone who is not a manger and told me to come back the next day. They didn't try to make it right. Didn't offer to remake the food, didn't offer to reheat, just asked us if we wanted to void the order. Just got our money back, left hungry, and a whole hour wasted. read more

Ed, who's in his 80's, can be seen cooking your breakfast from some inside tables. His love of airplanes is very apparent & because of this, Ed's Place is my bf's favorite spot. The pilot inspired decor is plentiful. The food is classic American breakfast & it's good! I'm not usually a fan of American diner because it's usually flavorless & greasy but Ed has changed my mind. I've lived in Glendora for over 35 years and today was my first visit. Many friends had told me about Ed's Place. Great location in Glendora Village. It's like your stepping back in time. Jukebox, lots of memorabilia while playing 40's music. They even have an old school counter. The atmosphere allowed me escape back to a simpler time of life. Before we travel anywhere, I scour the internet for unique and interesting places to eat. Who knew this gem was practically in my back yard. Service was excellent and friendly. Way too many delicious things to choose from. I had the Irish egg's benedict which is probably one of the best benedicts I've had in a long time. Such a darling little Cafe. The place is filled with aviator nicknacks. I really enjoyed looking at all the decor around the cafe. Definitely more of a diner style breakfast but better? It wasnt like dennys or ihop.... You could tell they used real butter instead of vegetable oil for my toast. My eggs were cooked perfectly as well. Something I always look for. We had some friends over and we decided to get some brunch to have at home. It's about a 7 minute drive from out house. Placed a phone order and it was quick and easy; food was done in about 20 minutes. My husband went to pick up the food and he got to the restaurant as they had just finished bagging our order. We ordered 4 of the eggs Benedict and one order of the tuna melt. The eggs on the eggs Benedict were completely cooked. No runny egg :( I thought maybe it was just my order, but all four orders were the same. Not sure if it was an off day, but that's too many eggs to overcook. Hollandaise sauce was good, not too heavy. The tuna melt wasn't bad. Looked pretty stuffed, but my friend didn't mention that it was anything amazing. Not sure if we'd visit again as there are many other brunch places to try; but they do have a large selection so maybe my husband and I could give it another try and find another item that could be a favorite. read more

I stopped by here for breakfast with a friend who lives in Glendora, before a long drive home. I'm British and was surprised to see a "Full English Breakfast" on the menu, and naturally had to try it! The eggs, sausage, potatoes and black pudding were great! The only gripe I had was the English bacon was grey and flavorless and the beans were not what you'd get on a proper English breakfast plate. Still, it was a breakfast made better by great service and tasty coffee! I'll give Ed's 4 stars for Sun. We are frequent customers. Read some reviews about posters about Boot Newsom, Pro-Trump. I will patronized Ed's more because I agree with Ed's standpoint. Food and menu-great Prices-great Staff- not so great. I mean not awful but the guy and 3 girls want to talk amongst themselves and no to the customers. I sat and the counter so I know... If the food, menu, and price is good....what is missing? Sincerity, friendliness and customer service. I know Ed's is doing ok....every seat was taken at 930 Sun morning. The staff did know the names of a few who seemed to be regulars.....so we opted to sit at the counter..... Service was lacking, please and thanks yous... it was when our plates were nearly empty when someone decided to ask if we needed anything more. We'll no....I asked for my own coffee refill, and for the check. So this was more "can I take your plates because we may need your seat." .. Maybe not... but customer service could take an overhaul. I will be back. I like this place...just please give it the old fashionsed uptown Glendora hospitality spin for your new customers and old ones like me..my dog...and 2 kids. read more

There's a need for an honest review. Don't know how folks seem to love this place? The service, as others mentioned is between mediocre and non-existent. We weee ushered to a booth with wet benches. Asked for napkins to clean the benches. A server returned and handed them to us for US to wipe the benches clean. Our server was disinterested in our table. No one makes eye contact, no one smiles, and no one really interested in ensuring a pleasant experience. This place is dark, dingy, and smells slightly moldy. The food in general is some of the worst we've ever had. The pancakes and French toast had a cardboard aftertaste. My lil boys said the chocolate milk tasted bad, didn't finish it and one asked for a Sprite to attempt to finish his breakfast. The chicken fried stake tasted stale and of freezer burn. Same for the dense and dry biscuits and gravy. The sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The bacon and hash browns were absolutely crispy and good but that's it! So 2 stars for 1/3 of our food being edible. Didn't complain nor sent it back. As usual, sucked it up and paid our almost $80 tab and left. Glad to have tried another place in town but will surely never return again. read more

I absolutely love this place and have been eating here for over three years. The food is always delicious! They have healthy options too for those of you who want to keep it healthy. They have a number of items under their kids menu. By the way, their pork sausages are out of this world delicious. These sausages are juicy and two ounces each!!!!! The best! They have indoor and outdoor seating and they have that breakfast counter that gives it an old school feeling (love that). The place is small inside so if you have a stroller or something, it's not a place where you can bring that in so maybe sit outside. It's definitely a kid friendly place though. We come here often and are never disappointed! I wish they were open for dinner too but unfortunately they close at 2pm. They have parking right in front (if you're lucky) and there are two areas of free parking very close to the restaurant as well. read more

Ed's Place is a real gem. The restaurant is unsuspecting. There's a casual counter toward the front of the restaurant and booths are tucked in the back. I came here for breakfast on a whim. I ordered the Denver omelette ($9.95) which comes with ham, bell peppers + onions. For my side, I chose hashbrowns. My omelette was proportionally the right size and each bite had the right ratio of ham/bell pepper/onion. Like their omelette making game is on point. My hashbrowns were SO good - real buttery with the right amount of crisp on the outside, but still nice and tender potatoes on the inside. Waitstaff was phenomenal - the other patrons were so friendly. Breakfast at Ed's was a really nice way to spend a rainy Saturday. read more
