The tittle says hearty breakfast burritos..... But when you look at the menu No breakfast burritos to be found

On a hunt for a breakfast place last month and of course I went on my YELP to see what surrounding places I should try out. came across this hole in wall breakfast place. Gave it a try and it did not disappoint. I've been here TWICE now since I first came and both times I've had great experiences. My first comment has to be that the wait time to be seated is nothing compared to your average IHOP or Denny's. I've come around 9 am both times and I get seated right away. I did notice this place get super busy after 10am the last time I came. Super simple restaurant. Servers are very friendly and patient. Food is good and place is clean. First time I ordered the huevos rancheros. It was good but not as good as the Chilaquiles. I ordered this the second time I came. Both plates came with a side of beans and rice. Boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito both times and he said the burrito is super good! Try this place out. I dont think it will disappoint. Sometimes the simplicity of a place is what makes it great. :) read more

Bad service. Waited for over an hour for our food, just for the server come to our table and say that she never submitted the order. SMH. Why only have 2 chefs and 2 servers on a busy Sunday morning. Never going back again. Manager didn't care. read more

We just ordered breakfast on Uber eats. I had the California omelette which was full of big chunks of rubber like Canadian bacon, more like canned ham. This in no way resembled bacon, which is described on the menu. The home fries were barely cooked, the potatoes were almost raw. I had asked for them extra crispy , and they were nowhere even close. They were also super greasy. My sister had the avocado grilled cheese, it was neither grilled nor had the extra cheese she requested. There was barely even a shred of cheese on one half. Simple uninspiring meal. Superficially my dearly departed dead ol' crusty fish desiccated on the outside yet seemingly dehydrated within. Petit portion of battered smashed potatoes topped with beef gravy! Beef gravy? Yet, my fish didn't appear to resemble a steer. Corn! I added a lotta butter and some salt and what do ya know? We found this place during the lockdown while ordering thru DoorDash. It became our favorite spot for breakfast! I usually get the breakfast burrito. This is one of the few places that does a breakfast burrito with carne asada. The rest of my family has had everything from waffles to omelettes to traditional breakfast plates. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Perhaps the best part of all was finally meeting some of the wait staff. My mom and I were driving one day and saw the Dollis sign and I said, "Hey that's where we've been ordering from!" So we walked in. It had the feel of an old school diner and I was immediately in love. When we told the waiter that we had been ordering thru DoorDash and were happy to finally be sitting down to eat, he kept thanking us profusely and said how people like us ordering thru delivery services kept their diner going. We, in turn, thanked him and their entire staff for maintaining incredible service during such a tough time. I hope this place stays open forever! You won't find a better breakfast, but more importantly, you won't find better people than these guys. Can't wait to go back! read more

Writing about takeout experiences. On multiple occasions, if not always, meals are over an hour late. Place is never busy so I don't understand what could possibly be taking that long. I've place simple to go orders all with an estimate of 30 minutes or so but somehow they always have our delivery person waiting for over 45. Not only is that a waste of my time but my driver's as well. For them time really is money. If they know they won't have food ready they should establish that and not have both customer and driver waiting an excessive amount of time. read more

Do not order take out/pick up or use delivery service. Your order will be ignored by this place. They wont start your order until after you or the delivery driver gets there to pick it up. This happened multiple times to me. They also have different online names/ virtual brand name such as "Daydream Breakfast Burrito" which offeres the same menu items as their physical store name. Some servers, not all, are also rude to drivers. Again some and Not all. There are servers here that are helpful and kind to guest even if its for pick up. read more

PSA for anyone who is considering ordering Postmates or delivery from this place, DO NOT DO IT. Had me waiting over an hour with no update on my order. When the Postmates driver asked for a status update on my order they said they didn't no how long it was going to take so I ended up just canceling my order. Maybe change your Postmates delivery time so people actually know how long their order is going to take. Called almost 5 times to double check that they got my order and of course no response. Horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone ordering pick up or delivery. read more

Dollis is among the best restaurants for breakfast in Covina. Although I will have to drop them down to 4 stars for a reason I will soon explain. Dollis has excellent omelettes, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and breakfast sandwhiches.They also have great florentine benedicts, corn beef hash benedicts, and sausage patty benedicts. Up until about 4 months ago, they also had the best classic benedicts in town ,which was actually my overall favorite breakfast dish in the city as well. I no longer order this dish however. Their classic benedicts once had the best thinly sliced tender canadian bacon around, but this has now been replaced by thick fatty and chewy Canadian bacon. This is too bad, but the other items are still of great quality so I still come regularly. The sliced ham that comes with the breakfast sandwiches is of very good quality, but they will not allow me to substitute this for Canadian bacon The outside sign is of poor aesthetics .It is an unattractive pink and is probably not good for luring in new business, but do not let this stop you from trying it out. I do not recommend the breakfast burritos since you can get the same or better quality elsewhere at a cheaper price, but overall this is a great place to have a high quality breakfast read more

The Impossible burrito is NOT VEGAN. They list it as vegan egg and vegan cheese in their DoorDash menu but it is not. I called the restaurant to confirm and the lady on the phone said they DO NOT CARRY VEGAN EGG OR VEGAN CHEESE. read more

Thanks for yelp helping me finding this brunch place for me! I was so indecisive on what to eat. After looking through the pictures, the stomach was calling out all sorts of breakfast items. Took them two hours for 2 breakfast burritos... still didn't get anything so i canceled. Called in and they just said they were backed up. Very poor management on their part. Was ordering food here once to twice a week up until this. Why not just cancel an order for delivery if you can't handle the business instead of constantly pushing it back 30 minutes? Food was breakfast good. It's hard to mess up the average breakfast. Servers were attentive. Had that converted Sizzler vibe to the building but was clean. Came in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised they had no wait time. We were immediately taken to a table and given menus. I ordered the huevos rancheros, scrambled eggs. Definitely a tasty dish but next time I'll get sunny side up. Just for the picture. My date ordered chilaquiles which he seemed to enjoy. The place was cozy and has a large dining section. I used to like this place when it was Silver Spoon, and was bummed to see they closed. But I tried this place out, and was happy to see they kept mostly the same menu. The food's the same, I really like their breakfast. I haven't had a chance to try the non-breakfast items at Dolli's yet though. Staff is always friendly and the service is good. Fast and friendly service, great food, large selection, HD TVs. Not Silver Spoon anymore! Menu and service have changed. Only problem is that the pictures on the menu don't reflect what the food actually looks like. Kind of like they just copy and pasted it from Google Images. But the food was good, regardless. Went this morning based on the ability to get both vegan and meat items. So glad I went. I got the Impossible Burrito. Impossible sausage, vegan cheese, and plant based eggs all mashed together with other things and a house made salsa on the side. It seriously does not get better than that. My mother also enjoyed her breakfast, but would love to recommend anything that comes with the biscuit and gravy. Would absolutely go back. read more

So I decided to try this place over the weekend. Ordered the chorizo burrito along with some pancakes. My daughter ordered the French toast and we also ordered an omelette. The food was decent but one issue I encountered was after picking up the food and arriving at home my wife told me that they forgot to include any syrup or butter. I immediately called them and told them what they had forgotten to include. Since I don't live to close to the location I told them that I was just calling them to let them know. The girl on the phone apologized but didn't say much else. A few minutes later my son who is allergic to dairy and eggs and who had ordered the chilaquiles noticed they had put cheese on the food. I called them again and this time I said I was on my way to have it replaced. When I arrived they took the chilaquiles and handed me the new ones. They also included the butter and syrup. The chorizo burrito was good and so was the chilaquiles. For the amount of you pay in this case close to $80 you would have thought they would have added a little extra or offered me something for the hassles. Nope.
