3/26/26 Guadalupe's Mexican Restaurant Azusa, CA... Came here today with mi compa Marcelino for the LA Dodgers Baseball Opening Day pre-game meal. We both had the $8.99 breakfast Huevos Rancheros special which included a Cinnamon Coffee! The food dish and coffee both tasted so good! Great service and a clean restaurant! Carmen and our server lady were so nice! I wanted to get some of the Dodger day specials, but I was told that was not until after 4 pm. The online flyer didn't specify that. Customer service. We came to this restaurant because our relatives informed us about the excellent food at this site. On their website, it indicates they close at 2 pm on Mondays. We came in approximately about 5 minutes before 12 pm, and the female person kept telling us. We close in 45 minutes. And she kept repeating it. We close in 45 minutes. She was adamant about letting us know they close in 45 minutes. We all decided to go ahead and leave because we didn't like the tone of her voice and the time constraints. I wouldn't have given this rating if we werent treated so rudely. She could have been more professional about informing clients about the closing time and not the way she did. Wow what a great place had a taco, cold beer and a pork tamale. The taco was $2.00 and packed with shredded beef, lettuce, and cheese. The taco was a hit! The tamale had sauce and cheese. What a great surprise the tamale was moist and flavorful. The masa was cooked and seasoned well. I would definitely order again. Excellent service. Greeted right when we walked in. Friendly staff. Plenty of seating. Spacious. I love the music they play. They even have the TV playing with cool shows on. The food was served warm and fresh. I couldn't finish my plate. Plenty of food. You get chips and salsa. Chips are fresh and salsa was tasty. It was less then 30 for 2 meals with drinks. This local family own mom and pop shop is a must when you're in town. The staff is so attentive and friendly. Erica was our server and made great suggestions. A local joint located in the Southwestern part of Azusa, near where Azusa, covina and Irwindale come together. Definitely a local hangout, servicing the neighborhood. Many of the customers were regulars, as you can tell how they interacting with the wait staff. Unfortunately, I'm not a regular and I'm not from the neighborhood. The food was not what I was expecting, my menudo, was lacking in flavor, watered down, had to add every condiment on the table to just give it some flavor. My buddy's Huevos rancheros was overly salted, so try to figure that one out?? The chips and salsa was decent. Our waitress was ok, but there was an older waitress, who was the star of the dining room, she was super nice and friendly. She even came over to my table and with a smile, asked me how my menudo was, I didn't have the heart to tell her the truth, she was so nice with a great smile. 2 stars for the food, and an extra star for the really nice older waitress. read more

I've been hearing and passing by Guadalupe's for a while now and today my family and I decided to check it out. Wow! I'm not going to lie. From the outside I thought it looked a little sketch but I was wrong! From the moment you walk in there, you're are greeted from all the waiters/ waitresses. Dominic was our waiter this evening and he was very kind and attentive. My husband, and I order the crunchy beef tacos and they were absolutely delicious!My kiddos got the chicken enchilada plate and they ate it all. It was my first time here and I was very disappointed with my whole experience. The food took about 40 minutes to come out, the waitress was lacking good service. I ordered the chilaquiles with shredded beef and scrambled eggs. The chilaquiles and beef were very dry, lacking sauce. I didn't even see eggs in there. It was cold by the time it got to the table. This is my family's go to Mexican Restaurant. Local Azusa favorite and other surrounding cities. When you come here it's like you're part of the family. Great service as soon as you walk in the door. Taco Tuesday was a hit!!! This place had hard tacos on taco Tuesdays. Not sure if I prefer the chicken or the shredded beef. Both were on the hit list of must come back. Quaint little restaurant that feels like grandma's house. Really great service and we enjoyed the food. I had a beef enchilada and chicken taco and both were tasty. The food here is delicious, but their micheladas are even better! Definitely one of the best places I've been to for micheladas. Came here with a friend to grab lunch and have a few drinks. They have outdoor seating in the back. The service is good, and the servers are very friendly. They have complimentary chips and salsa when you first sit down. We ordered tacos, taquitos and flautas. Great finger foods that went well with the micheladas. This place makes some of the best menudo and I am by no means a menudo person. You can tell they use quality pieces of tripe and the broth is so flavorful. My other favorite is their machaca. This isn't a can of shredded beef, it's fresh and cooked up with fresh vegetables. The servers here are lovely. Always very considerate. I usually order to go and the food tastes just as good when I get home. If you're getting menudo, be sure to call ahead since they sell out quick! It's that good! read more
