Food was yummy and came out fast! I had the chilaquiles with eggs split sauces. My husband had a torta abogada. Mine had flavor and the chips were nice and toasty! I've had better and I've had worse. I give a solid four star. Service was great everyone was helpful and friendly. They are working on their liquor license so we weren't able to try their michilada. The place itself was clean and cozy. Nestled in the shopping center by the stater brothers

Affordable chilaquiles that's not too fancy but does hit the spot when you're craving one. The cashier guy was nice throughout. We did wait a little longer than expected but not a huge problem. We all enjoyed the food. I also got a Nutella pancake from kids section and the quality of the pancake was chewy, fluffy, just how I like.

I personally wouldn't recommend this place. Unfortunately, the customer service really set the tone--employees had sour expressions, no smiles, and it felt like we were bothering them just by ordering and even more when they were cooking the food. Definitely could use some customer service training. As for the food, it was just okay overall. My chilaquiles were pretty bland, and the carne asada was tough with very little flavor. I had asked for the sauce on the side because I don't like soggy chilaquiles I like mine with a crunch and then said no. Which is strange bc I could have just added my own sauce after it was warmed up, whatever. My husband's plate wasn't impressive either. He asked for tortillas and they came out stale and cold, like they were barely heated. The only reason for the 2nd start is because the cafe de olla was the highlight only. lol ...sad I mean the presentation looks decent too but it's deceiving and especially when you feel unwelcome in a sit down restaurant lol This place has potential, we really wanted to love and frequent this place, but right now both the service and food are just... meh.

Great service, family run small business. The food was exceptional, the portion to price ratio was n incredible and all that was only exceeded by the attentiveness of one of the owners who was there. Best for breakfast, but good anytime and with enough other menu items to please anyone on the team! Skip the corporate culture comida and feel good about eating traditional Mexican food served by a local family. If you love chilaquiles, it's worth the drive to come support a family run business.

Chilaquiles with carne asada and half green half red sauce

Stumbled upon this cozy chilaquiles spot in an unassuming shopping plaza and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada, half green and half red sauce--absolutely delicious. The chips stayed crisp (not soggy!), the cheese was flavorful, and the carne asada was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked with a nice flat-top crisp. The refried beans were smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. My son had the kids' pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and everything was great--the pancakes were huge yet light with a nice buttermilk taste. Chips and salsa were also a hit: flavorful with a mild kick, and the chips were light and not oily. This will definitely be my go-to spot for chilaquiles. Highly recommend!

Business is veryyy clean and attentive, staff is serious but kind. Presentation was 10/10. I'm picky about Mexican food so I would give the red sauce a 6/10 since it was very watered down But overall I would give my meal a 8.5/10 for service and presentation

A great little spot for Mexican food. We came for breakfast. The Cafe De Olla is sooo good, get it if you are getting coffee. You can drink it black. It's perfect. I had huevos rancheros with chilaquiles with green sauce. It was a great side and alternative to beans. You can order your eggs as you like. The enchiladas were delicious my husband said. A perfect balance of taste and spice. He also got two red and one green. The staff is so kind and sweet. They bring out your food and make sure everything is good to your liking. Students in the area, they offer 10%!

Great place for chilaquiles and burritos! Their service is super friendly as well. Pictured here is the Green Burrito which is topped with a creamy jalapeño sauce that is absolutely yummy! The second dish is their famous Chilaquilicious which is chilaquiles, eggs, bacon and carne asada.

These chilaquiles were amazing! The green sauce was tasty and the carne asada was well seasoned and not dry! The service was great and fast! The seating area was roomy and the temperature inside was perfect!

Craving hot, fresh, authentic, flavorful Mexican food to go, then this is the place to go!!!! From their popular chilaquiles to their traditional combination plates with rice and beans, Chilaquilicious was definitely DELICIOUS! Great service by the cashier who also waited on our table. Clean, new seating, cute decor, and nice ambiance. Compliments to the chef! Will definitely be a returning guest.

Honestly, I am a chilaquiles girl and will order chilaquiles anytime I can other them. I decided to give this place a try and was an ok experience. $14.41+tax for just chips and salsa and potatoes was not worth it. If I wanted egg then it was an extra cost.. I am sorry but it was not deliciously enough for me to come back. I do got to admit that the girl that took my order was really nice. I would recommend to improve their chilaquiles by adding the egg and refried beans no matter. They can also add the cream on top to make it a true delicious chilaquiles This might help get more customers to go in and to come back. When I went there it was pretty empty for lunchtime.

We order at the counter, they are helpful in explaining each dish. After that you have a seat and we had a salsa macha, regular salsa, Pico de Gallo, chips, and a generous helping of fresh refried beans. I had a delicious cafe de la olla and munched on the beans and salsas while we waited for the main course. We each had red and green chilaquiles with eggs. They were great and the chef came out to check on us. For service and the food was really great. They have several veggie options and serve beer! I'll be back for a veggie wet burrito and a beer or two .

This kind of Mexican restaurant is right up my alley. Great food, stiff drinks, excellent service, and lively atmosphere. Oh, and plenty of chips and salsa!! I had the two tacos combination platter (one beef, one chicken) w/ a skinny jalapeño margarita. Along w/ guacamole to accompany the chips and salsa for the table - this meal was incredible. I could've walked out and gotten hit by a bus and would've been happy that this was my last meal. We were seated upstairs and it was a little more intimate and cozy w/ low ceilings (look out tall people!). Service was so on point, we never had to rubberneck once, the servers were always present without being overbearing. Not sure if there is dedicated parking for the restaurant, but there was plenty of street parking during Sunday afternoon. I think I found my new favorite Mexican spot in the Covina/Azusa area!!

The evening we went the restaurant was 80% full. The staff greeted us when we walked in. I believe one of the gentleman might have been the owner himself. He was super welcoming . The restaurant has great decor all over the restaurant and a lively atmosphere. The staff that helped us were all attentive and personable. We were given chips and salsa shortly after seating. I love the locations that offer fresh crispy chips. I ended up ordering one of Desebrada Shredded Beef Burrito (wet) and they told me I could do the half red and green sauce. I also ordered one of the Chicken Dorado (crunchy taco). My wife ordered a taco combo plate and Jalapeño Vodkarita. The portions were generous and abundant. My burrito was hefty! I enjoyed every bite of that wet burrito. Saucy and full of deliciousness. The affordable pricing is great because of the amount of food. The taco was fine, but I'd got with a burrito again since you can take the rest home. My wife enjoyed her food and drink. We had never been here in all these years. Max's Mexican Cuisine will be on our list again when are craving some Mexican food. ( ^_^)b

There are two Fridays left if you want to partake in the seasonal dishes offered during this time, please bookmark this restaurant. We ordered the two Specials of the Day (Fri., 3/28/25): 1. Tortitas de Camaron con Mole with Nopales and Roasted potatoes (ground breaded Shrimp into small Patties with cactus) $15, served with thick handmade corn tortillas. 2. Capirotada (bread pudding with peanuts & raisins in syrup) $10. We also had Enchiladas in Poblano Mole. Each entree included a cup of Fideo soup, a side of rice and beans. I could not resist the Cafe de Olla (Mexican coffee brewed with a cinnamon stick), this was served with two cookies in a ceramic mug. This is how you would be served in someone's home. I was stunned when they brought it to me. The food was authentic, delicious, good portions. You will love how the food is plated and presented in ceramic dishes (pottery). We didn't finish and brought the rest home for dinner. I literally was transported back to my childhood, when my grandmother would cook these two same dishes during Lent. The hospitality, decor and service makes you feel like you're home. The food restrictions is part if a religious tradition, but anyone can eat these foods. I've really enjoyed my meals and the service (we even had a small spill on the table). It's a smaller restaurant but they do an excellent job on serving you throughout your visit and have some good music playing. You'll start off with chips and salsa which is good not too spicy. Food has been excellent! My daughter kept saying delicioso (Can you say delicioso? *Dora the explorer*) haha. We've made multiple trips since our first time. Carne en su juego had a great tasting salsa. Sopes had a nice crunchiness to them. Chile relleno was very good and juicy. The enchiladas were all very good. One of the things I've enjoyed are tbe hand made tortillas, it's hard to find now a days. They have aguas frescas and it's actually fresh so they may only have one or two each day. Cafe de Olla was good, sweet but I like it (sweet tooth in me) and comes with a cookie. The baño aka restroom also has a changing table (yes no changing the baby on my lap!).
