Door dashed our meals today. This is our first time trying this restaurant. I ordered the chilaquilicious which comes with 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, and Asada and refried beans. The bacon was under cooked. The chilaquiles were just okay. The asada was bland. Husband ordered the torta de milanesa but they were out of that so they sent him the asada torta instead. He was unhappy about that. He could have chosen something else if given the choice. The torta was all bread with very little meat. Bread was not even toasted. It was dry. Not the worst torta he's ever had he said but didn't care to return and order this ever again or anything else from the menu. daughter had the Nutella pancakes. She liked them. I tried a bite and I thought they were okay. Nothing special. We won't be returning. This place left much to be desired
Food was yummy and came out fast! I had the chilaquiles with eggs split sauces. My husband had a torta abogada. Mine had flavor and the chips were nice and toasty! I've had better and I've had worse. I give a solid four star. Service was great everyone was helpful and friendly. They are working on their liquor license so we weren't able to try their michilada. The place itself was clean and cozy. Nestled in the shopping center by the stater brothers
Affordable chilaquiles that's not too fancy but does hit the spot when you're craving one. The cashier guy was nice throughout. We did wait a little longer than expected but not a huge problem. We all enjoyed the food. I also got a Nutella pancake from kids section and the quality of the pancake was chewy, fluffy, just how I like.
The green salsa chilaquiles with asada and two over medium eggs, REALLY delicious. Asada was well cooked and seasoned. However, their red chilaquiles plate with chorizo and papas, complete let down. The red sauce was more of a tomato (Pato Sauce) flavor. The potatoes were undercooked and hardly had any chorizo on them, also lacked so much flavor. Was pretty bummed. BUT THE REFRIED BEANS...made up for everything. Service was great. A little too quiet in there for my liking but would go again.
I personally wouldn't recommend this place. Unfortunately, the customer service really set the tone--employees had sour expressions, no smiles, and it felt like we were bothering them just by ordering and even more when they were cooking the food. Definitely could use some customer service training. As for the food, it was just okay overall. My chilaquiles were pretty bland, and the carne asada was tough with very little flavor. I had asked for the sauce on the side because I don't like soggy chilaquiles I like mine with a crunch and then said no. Which is strange bc I could have just added my own sauce after it was warmed up, whatever. My husband's plate wasn't impressive either. He asked for tortillas and they came out stale and cold, like they were barely heated. The only reason for the 2nd start is because the cafe de olla was the highlight only. lol ...sad I mean the presentation looks decent too but it's deceiving and especially when you feel unwelcome in a sit down restaurant lol This place has potential, we really wanted to love and frequent this place, but right now both the service and food are just... meh.
Stumbled upon this cozy chilaquiles spot in an unassuming shopping plaza and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada, half green and half red sauce--absolutely delicious. The chips stayed crisp (not soggy!), the cheese was flavorful, and the carne asada was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked with a nice flat-top crisp. The refried beans were smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. My son had the kids' pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and everything was great--the pancakes were huge yet light with a nice buttermilk taste. Chips and salsa were also a hit: flavorful with a mild kick, and the chips were light and not oily. This will definitely be my go-to spot for chilaquiles. Highly recommend!
Great service, family run small business. The food was exceptional, the portion to price ratio was n incredible and all that was only exceeded by the attentiveness of one of the owners who was there. Best for breakfast, but good anytime and with enough other menu items to please anyone on the team! Skip the corporate culture comida and feel good about eating traditional Mexican food served by a local family. If you love chilaquiles, it's worth the drive to come support a family run business.
A great little spot for Mexican food. We came for breakfast. The Cafe De Olla is sooo good, get it if you are getting coffee. You can drink it black. It's perfect. I had huevos rancheros with chilaquiles with green sauce. It was a great side and alternative to beans. You can order your eggs as you like. The enchiladas were delicious my husband said. A perfect balance of taste and spice. He also got two red and one green. The staff is so kind and sweet. They bring out your food and make sure everything is good to your liking. Students in the area, they offer 10%!
Great place for chilaquiles and burritos! Their service is super friendly as well. Pictured here is the Green Burrito which is topped with a creamy jalapeño sauce that is absolutely yummy! The second dish is their famous Chilaquilicious which is chilaquiles, eggs, bacon and carne asada.
Business is veryyy clean and attentive, staff is serious but kind. Presentation was 10/10. I'm picky about Mexican food so I would give the red sauce a 6/10 since it was very watered down But overall I would give my meal a 8.5/10 for service and presentation
Craving hot, fresh, authentic, flavorful Mexican food to go, then this is the place to go!!!! From their popular chilaquiles to their traditional combination plates with rice and beans, Chilaquilicious was definitely DELICIOUS! Great service by the cashier who also waited on our table. Clean, new seating, cute decor, and nice ambiance. Compliments to the chef! Will definitely be a returning guest.
Best green chilaquiles with carne asada I've ever had. Great service and the place is nice.

This was my first time visiting Chilaquilicious--and first of all, what a cute name! We ordered the menudo, Enchiladas Rojas, and Huevos a la Mexicana, and overall, we had a great experience. The menudo was delicious! The broth had exactly the kind of flavor you look for in a good menudo--rich and smooth, with those subtle but flavorful herbs and spices coming through in every bite. Add the fresh veggies, a squeeze of lime, and suddenly you feel like you're sitting back at your abuelita's kitchen table. ¡Qué rico! The Huevos a la Mexicana were also perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. My hubby ordered a side of Tacos Governador...yummy! My granddaughter ordered the Enchiladas Rojas with chicken. At first, she didn't care for them because the red chile sauce wasn't the style we're used to making and eating at home. We're accustomed to enchiladas made with dried guajillo, New Mexico, or California chiles, so these tasted very different to her. The sauce seemed to be made with fresher ingredients and possibly tomatoes, although I didn't ask exactly what was in it. It still had a nice spicy chile flavor, but because it wasn't what she expected, she initially thought she had received something different. Of course, Grandma had to taste them! And even though they weren't the style of enchiladas we're accustomed to, I thought they were delicious! Sometimes different is still delicious! And I can't forget the Café de Olla. It was perfectly flavored--not overpowering, just warm, comforting, and delicious. I really enjoyed it! On top of all the good food, the customer service was great, which always makes a dining experience even better. The next time I'm in town, I definitely plan on stopping by Chilaquilicious again. There are still more dishes I want to try! I would happily recommend this place to my family and friends. ¡Buen provecho! read more
I'm obsessed with chilaquiles, so I'm always looking for new places to try. I'm still looking for a really good spot that makes the way I like. I got the breakfast burrito, and it was really good with the sauce. I liked the bacon in it, and it was huge. But without the sauce, it tasted pretty plain, just like a regular burrito with eggs. Of course, I ordered the chilaquiles, but I was disappointed. I specifically wanted dry chilaquiles, and that's what | ordered. I know the sauce usually makes the tortilla chips soft, but these were really wet and soggy. It honestly felt like it had been sitting out for a while because the food wasn't hot. The flavor was good, but I'm not a fan of soft or too soggy chips. Also, they thought our order was for dine-in, so they gave us chips. When we told them it was to-go, they took the chips back. I was hoping they would still give us chip takeout, but they didn't, which was really disappointing. Cmon you already put it on our table and we told them it's to go they took it right away. read more
Super excited about this place due to the good reviews on Yelp. The place is small with a few tables. We sat in the middle bar because there were no other tables available. We got complimentary totopos (chips), pico de gallo, red salsa and refried beans to start. Wow! The refried beans were sooooo good! So flavorful! The chips were delicious too. You can tell they're homemade. The cashier was nice when taking our order. The menudo had good flavor but we didn't care for the hominy since we're not use to eating it with menudo, only with pozole. The meat was cut in tiny pieces. We also had the chilaquilicious chilaquiles which consisted of the chilaquiles with carne asada, bacon and eggs. 1/2 salsa roja and 1/2 salsa verde. The portion was good, however the green salsa can use more flavor. It seemed plain. The red one was better for my taste, it had a Smokey chipotle flavor. Not hot at all. The carne asada could use more salt or seasoning too, seemed a little plain. We tried their salsa macha (chili oil) omg soooo goood and the perfect amount of spiciness. We took home what we didn't finish. I hate wasting something so delicious. Overall a solid 4. read more

We order at the counter, they are helpful in explaining each dish. After that you have a seat and we had a salsa macha, regular salsa, Pico de Gallo, chips, and a generous helping of fresh refried beans. I had a delicious cafe de la olla and munched on the beans and salsas while we waited for the main course. We each had red and green chilaquiles with eggs. They were great and the chef came out to check on us. For service and the food was really great. They have several veggie options and serve beer! I'll be back for a veggie wet burrito and a beer or two . read more
My husband and I have been trying to fill the void in our stomachs now that Tony's Tacos is gone. So we tried this new restaurant in town with high hopes. We ordered a pick up order and sadly were disappointed with the food. The taquito was not what we were expecting since it was basically a taco to us. My husband thought maybe it has to do with differences in between Hispanic food and culture. Or maybe they got our order wrong? The meat had no flavor and it was the same for the burrito. The torta's milanesa was super thin. The chilaquiles was also very bland. The beans also had a funny taste. For what you get, the value was a little on the pricier side too compared to other Mexican food quick services. The food was a miss for everything and we don't think a second chance is warranted. read more

Honestly, I am a chilaquiles girl and will order chilaquiles anytime I can other them. I decided to give this place a try and was an ok experience. $14.41+tax for just chips and salsa and potatoes was not worth it. If I wanted egg then it was an extra cost.. I am sorry but it was not deliciously enough for me to come back. I do got to admit that the girl that took my order was really nice. I would recommend to improve their chilaquiles by adding the egg and refried beans no matter. They can also add the cream on top to make it a true delicious chilaquiles This might help get more customers to go in and to come back. When I went there it was pretty empty for lunchtime. read more
Chilaquilicious is a phenomenal, delectable experience. I felt unbridled joy fill me as I devoured the fresh, hearty meal. Delicioso!!! I ordered the #2 Chilaquiles + Protein ($13.99). I selected Asada (Beef) for the protein and red + green salsa; the dine-in meal includes beans, chips, and salsa. Marvelous value! I arrived Monday (around 12:10pm); the food arrived in eight minutes and 43 seconds. Melodic, slow Latin music sung from the flat screen tv. Nearby customers happily dined and chatted in Espanol. Staff speaks fluent English and Spanish; they're extremely helpful and welcoming. The #2 Chilaquiles + Protein ($13.99) is a lot of food. The ingredients are also cooked exceptionally well. The dish was covered in beef and cheese yet I spotted/tasted almost no oily grease. The ingredients are just so fresh! Tasty beef, stretchy cheese, fresh-sturdy chips, and a bit of bright avocado on top were all laid upon zesty salsa. Shockingly, the dish is not a salty messy; rather, the zesty and bright flavor mostly derives from fresh lime. I devoured it all. YUM!! Most importantly, the beans are good quality and cooked perfectly. The beans are reminiscent of Fonda Don Chon's refried beans. The beans are thick, hot, and firmly mashed. Oh, wow! [Note: Bring cash. 3% additional cost for credit.] Overall, Chilaquilicious is a hidden, local gem. The hype is real. The passionate staff, talented cooks, and quality ingredients create magic. Fantastico!!! I easily recommend. GO!! read more

Chilaquilicious most definitely lives up to their name and the great previous reviews!! My Chilaquiles, was the "Veggie" option, and I'm not vegan. But I love mushrooms. So finding out they did a Chilaquiles with mushrooms and onions on the menu. I KNEW I had to order them! They are BOMB. And what I love about a proper Chilaquiles is chips that STAY crisp, even after being "sauced and tossed" I will say I love the red more than the green. Green is more on the spicy side. I do wish the mushrooms were fresh, because these seemed canned. But they were still delish. We did order cafe de olla, and only got regual4 coffee but the food made up for the loss. Service was absolutely perfect. And the ambiance was cozy and decent seating and good lighting! Looking forward to trying their other menu items soon! read more

This place is amazing, it's about time Azusa has another great place to enjoy some amazing food and café de olla. They offer off the menu specials e.g pozole and some other dishes and soups; great for these cooler days and nights. The service is amazing and the restaurant atmosphere is nice. It's a small business so let's show our support and help keep great businesses in business. I really appreciate the asada which I have yet to see in this city so far in my opinion, this place is on my top list. I can't wait to try more dishes at affordable prices. Don't take my word for it, stop by for yourself and enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisines. read more

The service was very dry and corrective. There were no suggestions or welcoming words. I ordered an asada burrito- got a bean burrito with a few pieces of asada burried in the overwhelming amount of beans. Will not be returning. This ended up being $14 with tax. They included one napkin in my to-go bag. Cutting costs on my order=never returning. read more
What a great restaurant to enjoy the perfect and delicious chilaquiles. Chilaquilacious is near both Azusa Pacific and Citrus college. There are plenty of parking in this plaza. The restaurant is spacious and has many indoor seating. It was very clean. The menu includes chilaquiles, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, torta , eggs menu and kids menu. You can choose your favorite protein with the chilaquiles. So we ordered ; -Chilaquiles with asada - Vegetarian chilaquiles with mushrooms. - Asada and al pastor tacos. The order came with rice and beans. We received complementary chips, salsa, pico de gallo and refried beans, while we were waiting for our orders. The fried beans were rich, savory and had creamy texture. The chilaquiles; the vegetarian or the asda were well seasoned and flavorful. Their tacos were juicy and delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was top notch. If you are craving chilaquiles, chilaquilacious is the best place to go to. read more

In town and stopped at this small restaurant and let me tell you it was truly worth it. The service is very friendly and helpful. It's nice to walk in to a place where they smile and greet you and help you decide on a dish. And the food was 5 !! Tasteful, plenty of food and the prices really shocked me because I have paid way more at other places without such great flavor. Come by and give it a try and you will also agree read more

This family owned restaurant is brand new in this shopping center and it has lots of potential. They have various chilaquiles options and for those who are looking for other breakfast options this place also has items to offer. The chilaquiles dish portion was very generous, I opted to try a split of red and green chilaquiles with asada protein, and my favorite was the green salsa as it had a nice spicy kick. For those looking for a heartier option, I recommend the ChilaquiLicious option which includes eggs, bacon, and extra protein. I enjoyed that they brought a separate bowl with beans and chiles toreados. The girl at the counter was super friendly and took her time taking our order, ensuring she answered all our questions, and repeating our order to ensure everything was accurate. Each meal was prepared to order and she came back often to ensure we had everything we needed. They have a few tables outside for those who want to eat outdoors. read more
