The cream they put on top tastes heavenly and the fruits are so fresh. Combined with the classic shredded coconut, raisins, and granola, this dessert was just perfect and hit the spot. I ordered a bean & cheese burrito with onions. The cashier asked if I wanted a small or large burrito, she showed me the the two sizes of tortillas so I ordered the large. The burrito cost 6 bucks and we sat at the outdoor picnic tables to enjoy our hot and freshly made food. When I saw the burrito I was where is the large burrito because it looked so small. The burrito was tasty despite the disappointment.

Delicious Mexican Sweet Bread…read more This review is a day after I visited this business. I was Nextdoor getting Pho and I thought I'll swing by to try a single piece of Pan Dulce. I brought it home in its little brown sack and totally forgot about it till the next day. I didn't think much of this place since it wasn't totally swamped with people but I should have known better to judge a place based on the foot traffic. I tossed the bag with the bread in the microwave for 15 seconds to bring the bread back to life and when I took that first bite omg it was amazing. The soft sweet bread hit my taste buds like knock out punch and with milk I was in Heaven. I honestly wish this place was closer to me since I live in Whittier. I have plenty of great places to get pan dulce in Whittier but that bread I got at this place was so good. Next time I'm in El Monte for Pho I'm making a point to get more of Leyva's delicious bread. There were a handful of parking spots available around 7 AM, so parking was easy, and the shop itself was very clean, bright, and welcoming. There were actually quite a few customers inside already, which is always a good sign! Since it had been forever since I last bought donuts, I ended up picking up a little variety: a cream cheese croissant, cheese muffin, blueberry muffin, and some donut holes. Now... let's talk about the muffin. First of all, it was HUGE and costed $3.50, hoping it was worth the price. But the moment I picked it up... the top literally fell completely off and beheaded itself! I just stood there looking at it like, "Well... that escalated quickly." Unfortunately, the muffin itself was the biggest disappointment. I'd honestly give it about 2/5 stars. It was very dry, and despite it being a cheese muffin, I couldn't really taste any cheese at all. It just wasn't worth the money for me. The donut holes (I think around $2.50 for about half a bag) were decent, but I've definitely had softer and fluffier ones elsewhere. They satisfied the sweet tooth, but they weren't particularly memorable. On the bright side, service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, the line moved quickly, and I was in and out within minutes. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by and gave this place a try since it was nearby. I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the muffins, but I'd be willing to give some of their breakfast sandwiches or other menu items a shot next time. Happy eats!

There is always something about a croissant at a donut spot that is so yummy. I'm not sure if its the big croissant the size of your face or the melty cheesy goodness inside once you tear it apart. When I arrived, there is always a couple of people waiting to order but I can always get in and out pretty quickly. All the staff are really nice. Overall, great place to pick up a quick breakfast, lunch, snacks, or sweets.
