Yum! So many delicious, unique & interesting Asian fusion flavors. They give free samples and we ended getting the passionfruit cacao, Ube malted crunch, black sesame cookies and cream & Che Thai. They also sell prepackaged pints of ice cream. Each flavor is clearly marked & lets you know the ingredients & what's gluten free, vegan, dairy free, etc. It's located in the Indiana Colony Market on the corner of Colorado & Raymond. There used to be other shops in the market but it seems they all closed except for Wanderlust. There are some stool seats & a bench available for dine-in.
This location of Wanderlust Creamery is located in Pasadena. With another dessert shop nearby being too crowded, my cousin and I came here. They seem to share the storefront with some other businesses, but there were some empty spaces. They had some limited high tops along the front window and one table. However it was really hot where we were sitting for an ice cream shop. Noah helped us with our order and she was super friendly. She was very gracious about offering us samples and telling us about the ice cream shop. So Wanderlust is inspired by global flavors, so you'll see unique flavors here. My cousin and I were pretty full from dinner so we decided to get the Tasting Trio ($6.50). We were told that these would be smaller scoops of each but you get to enjoy the variety, which was perfect for us. We opted for the Kinder, Ube Malted Crunch, and Japanese Neapolitan. This in itself was a nice mix of matcha, Sakura or Japanese cherry blossoms, and Hokkaido milk. All of the flavors were mild and not too sweet. I think my favorite was the Japanese Neapolitan. To be honest I was less excited by my experience with the Irvine location, but the flavors I tried here were much better. My cousin and I had a nice treat. It would have been a tad more enjoyable if it wasn't so hot here.
Parking here is difficult, we had to drive a few blocks circle then find parking a few blocks away. But it wasn't crowded only a few people in the shop. I love pandan so I tried it. It was good but not as creamy as I was maybe expecting. They have a Vietnamese coffee. Next time I will try that one or the ube. They do have some unique flavors.
April 24, 2026 | Pasadena | After seeing a movie nearby at iPic, my friend, and I walked over to Wanderlust Creamery! Ice cream hit the spot on a beautiful and sunny day!! Kinder | I absolutely love Kinder chocolate, so this was a plus in a rich chocolate, flavorful way! Ube Malted | I'm always up for flavorful Ube; sweet purple yams and was blended with malted milk, so delicious, loved it! Mix It Up | Yum! Since I got two scoops in a small cup, I blended them in the cup until it was nice & smooth! What an absolutely delicious combo! Inside | There are large murals on the wall in beautiful pastel colors displaying travel destinations & scenery! Also travel books and travel themed items around! The destinations that caught my eye were: Thailand & India, both which I've traveled to and loved! Customer Service | Thanks for the samples. Overall | Yes, please! Ice cream is always a great idea, especially when there are often new, unique and flavorful combinations! Let's go!
Unique Asian-inspired flavors that really stand out Tried the Ube Malted Crunch® and pandan tres leches from Wanderlust Creamery and both flavors were memorable. The Ube Malted Crunch® definitely lived up to the hype. It was creamy, rich, and had that slightly nutty vanilla-like ube flavor with crunchy malted bits that added a really fun texture. You can see why it's their signature flavor. The pandan tres leches was also interesting and unique. It's light, creamy, and fragrant with a subtle pandan flavor that felt refreshing rather than overly sweet. It had a soft, milky dessert vibe that worked really well as ice cream. Service was friendly and patient while letting us sample flavors, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The vibe is modern, trendy, and fun, with lots of creative flavors inspired by different cultures and desserts around the world. Definitely feels like more than just a typical ice cream shop. Would absolutely come back to try more seasonal and specialty flavors next time.
I just picked up my pizza order from Prince Street Pizza in Old Town Pasadena. I saw Wanderlust Creamery right next door inside Indiana Colony Marketplace. I'm a sucker for ice cream. I had to walk through the front doors. I remember trying durian from Wanderlust at a past event. That's what I was looking for, but they didn't carry it at the time. They offer globally inspired and unique ice creams flavors such as Sticky Rice & Mango, Ube Malted Crunch, Japanese Neapolitan, Sakura Crunch, and more. I got to try a couple free samples, Inis Mor and Sakura Crunch. I will have to return to try their other intriguing flavors. I wanted to get half and half of two flavors for the one scoop, but it was not an option unfortunately. I ended up getting one single scoop of Sakura Crunch for $7.50. It is a cherry blossom ice cream with matcha & strawberry "kit kats". Very light, smooth, and floral in taste. Strawberry kit kats was a nice add-in topping. I found out they make the kit kats in house. Cool! Staff was okay. Service was quick. Portion was decent. Price was fair. Plenty of inside seating shared with the other local, independent food vendors within the marketplace. Parking can be found on the streets or at nearby parking garages. Highly recommend in giving Wanderlust a try if you haven't already. You may find your new favorite ice cream flavor right here at Wanderlust. Enjoy!
I was greeted with friendly service who is happy to help with as many samples as you need. All of the flavors are SPOT ON to their description/inspiration and I love that so many of them are Asian inspired. In my most recent trip I tried their black sesame, Japanese Neapolitan, blueberry elderflower, and sticky rice and mango. I couldn't choose between them because they were all so good. By memory their waffle cones were decent. My only note is that they do not allow for split flavors (although they do have a tasting trio). As someone who is indecisive or likes to have at least 2 flavors, this is a bit of a menu miss for me.

It is located in Old Town Pasadena. The shop has inviting and aesthetic vibes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shop has unique ice cream flavors like; Beurre Noisette cookie dough, ube malted crunch, mango sticky rice, Kinder, sesame cookie, Wanderlust vanilla, Japanese Neapolitan, pandan tres Leches, to mention a few.They also have seasonal flavors as well as vegan options. I ordered tasting trio with Kinder, black sesame cookies and cream, and beurre noisette cookie dough. I enjoyed the flavors I got. It was silky, creamy with perfect texture. I will be back to try more of their unique flavors.
I can't believe they've got the Shanghainese White Rabbit flavor . All the red hearts!!!!! So creamy and amazing. The service today was kind of meh the staff was awkward... feeling more like I stopped him from chatting with the staff from pressed juice But guess what, the ice cream is way too great. No time for awkward lol The seat was nice. The environment was pretty nice for a weekday. Highly recommend the new flavor!
Wanderlust Creamery really knows what they're doing. They are getting it right! Creative, fun, delicious, and innovative flavors! The Pasadena location is inside of a tiny food market hall. The menu is on the smaller side which is great because it isn't overwhelming but there is still something for everyone. I got one scoop of the Japanese Neapolitan flavor which included a blend of matcha, hojicha and black sesame. Though I've had Asian inspired flavors before, I've never had a flavor like this one. The ice cream was incredibly smooth and creamy, and not to sweet. Will be back here for sure to try other flavors like sticky rice + mango and passionfruit cacao.
They don't do split scoops, but they do do a tasting trip. So I asked the worker if I can get the tasting trio but just 2 scoops. I asked if they can give me one less scoop and I'll still pay the same price, because I didn't want that much ice cream. But the worker insisted that that's not allowed, and I NEED to get three flavors with the tasting trio or just get the double scoop (which is $1.25 more). That was so frustrating because I literally wanted LESS ice cream for the same price, instead, I got the tasting trio, got 3 flavors, and just threw away the top scoop, when that ice cream could've stayed in the tub. I hope management can change this policy.

We stopped by Wanderlust Creamery after dinner, mostly just following the foot traffic and the hum of the evening crowd. I've been to their Atwater location before, so I walked in half expecting that same wide board of rotating flavors. This Pasadena shop felt noticeably more pared down, especially for a weekend night. I went with two scoops of the Ube Malted Crunch. The ube base was smooth and creamy with that mellow, nutty sweetness that doesn't overwhelm. It wasn't overly sugary, which I appreciated after a full meal. The malted crunch pieces added texture without turning it into a jaw workout, just enough crisp contrast to keep each bite interesting. That said, the limited selection was a little surprising. Compared to Atwater, the variety here felt tight, and if you're someone who likes to sample a lot before deciding, your options might feel constrained. Service was quick and efficient. We were in and out without much waiting, even with the Friday night flow. Overall, it's still a solid dessert stop if you're already in Old Town and want something reliable. Just do not come expecting the same breadth of flavors as other locations. It helps to have a backup choice in mind before you get to the counter.

There's metered street parking or any of the parking structures that's a short walk. I visit this spot more because it's more convenient when I'm in the area visiting my brother. Wanderlust came to fruition & inspired from Adrienne's travels, & the flavors are reflected as such. I hit the jackpot with the Blueberry Elderflower, Sakura Crunch, & Yuzu Creamsicle! My husband is Swedish so Blueberry Elderfloweer really hits the spot & reminds me of our travels to Sweden... with sweet, rich mascarpone ice cream that's perfectly balanced with blueberry jam & enhanced by the elderberry cordial that's adds depth of rich fruitiness & tartness. Sakura Crunch & Yuzu Creamsicle are Japan-inspired flavors & ordered a double. Both were absolutely delish that I can't help deciding which was best. The cherry blossom ice cream was mildly tinted with a delicate floral flavor with sweet strawberry that's offset by a creamy, bitter, rich tea taste. The yuzu citrus sorbet was sweet, tangy, & refreshing, yet so creamy for a sorbet. Prices: Single $5.00 Split Single +50¢ Tasting Trio $6.50 Double $7.50 Pint $13.00 Cone $1.00 ea. Toppings $1.00 ea. loved this place! I've passed it many times while walking down Colorado and believe I even had a meetup here some years back, but this was the first time I really took the place in. I was specifically looking for a refreshing little dessert, and this was perfect. The space felt open, clean, and refreshing when we walked in. I feel so bad because I wanted to remember the young lady's name--I believe it started with a B, maybe Bella? Either way, she made the experience that much more enjoyable. As soon as we walked in, I immediately needed to use the restroom, and she was kind enough to give me the password before we had even ordered. When I came back, she offered us samples, and they were actually nice-sized samples, enough for my boyfriend and me to really experience the different flavors. I got embarrassed asking to try more than two, but she was so kind and patient about it. I'm glad she encouraged us to sample them because we ended up getting the trio-flavor waffle cone. The tasting definitely helped because each ice cream had such a unique flavor that I honestly couldn't choose just one. I would most definitely come back. This place has a lot of unique flavors. Although, I found their ice cream to be a bit more on the icier side and not too creamy. I also found their flavors a bit mild and wished they had more punch. I sampled their mango sticky rice, Glou Glou, and other flavors, but I found them all to be ok. I ended up choosing the Glou Glou but was a bit too sour for my liking. Although, my friend got the Pandan ice cream which actually ended up being pretty good. Overall, good service and I appreciate that they let you sample a lot of flavors. I'm not a huge fan of their ice cream, but they shine with their huge variety of Asian-inspired flavors. read more
Tasty ice cream with some really interesting flavors. They let us sample as many flavors as we wanted each, which was a nice touch. Their simple vanilla was very good, which is always my litmus test for everything else. It's a bit on the pricier side, but that's to be expected for good-quality artisan ice cream, especially in California. Overall, definitely worth trying. read more

The flavors -Taiwanese Treasure Bowl, Lilikoi LiHing Pineapple, Palo Santo Mint Chip- I selected definitely had my tastebuds wandering! I wish I brought my cooler to bring these back, especially the TTB. I do wish there were better seating inside to accommodate both small and larger groups. My absolute favorite ice cream spot. There are not a lot of seats, small area, and definitely feels like "to-go" ordering but that's not too bad in the heart of Downtown Pasadena. Came here on a Saturday night while walking around trying to find some dessert to have. My group wanted to try this place and it was packed inside. Luckily, there was a kiosk where you can order what you'd like, but it was in a very weird spot off to the side. The kiosk was placed in the same area as where the regular line was set up. It also blocked an area where people can sit and enjoy their ice cream. The kiosk had their clothing merchandise say were sold out, but it allowed you to order a single, double, or triple scoop of ice cream and customize it to your liking (cone, cup, etc.). You can also wait in the regular line to get the ice cream order. I didn't order anything because I didn't see anything that I wanted and some of the flavors had items I could have a reaction to. I thought there would be some traditional flavors, but I didn't know much about this ice cream store except I overheard my friend say it's a Filipino inspired menu. There were some very unique flavors, ube, some passion fruit flavored items, some sort of tres leches, etc. There were some seating areas along the front window side (which looked like an old display window from an old clothing store). In the back had some seats as well, but we didn't go too far back. My friends enjoyed the ice cream and we all had a great time. read more
I liked the ube malted crunch, pandan tres leches, and black sesame. Based on pricing, the single just doesn't seem as economical as the trio so I would get a trio and share with another person. Plus, you can enjoy more flavors that way. The pandan was my favorite as it had a very subtle and distinctly sweet pandan flavor. The ube could have had more crunchies, but still good ube flavor and it makes sense why it is so popular. Service was quick, and it was empty when we came on opening day on a weekend. read more
I came here after date night with my boyfriend for dessert, and this ice cream shop did not disappoint. They have such unique flavors, and they let you sample, which is great for trying what you're interested in. We sampled both the Thai mango sticky rice and the pandan tres leches. The Thai mango sticky rice is dairy-free and made with coconut cream--it was light, delicious, and not too sweet. The pandan tres leches was nice and creamy, sweeter than the mango sticky rice, and so rich in flavor. We ended up getting both flavors to go and loved them. The service was great as well; the staff was friendly, and there are spots to sit inside. It also seemed like a nice place to hang out, with people doing homework on their laptops. My friend highly recommended trying Wanderlust Creamery since they have many unique ice cream flavors. The staff was very patient and allowed us to sample multiple flavors. I got the Japanese Neopolitan (matcha, hojicha, and Hokkaido milk) and Shining Hour (milky grape ramune hwaechae). I loved the Japanese Neopolitan as this was a unique combination flavor for ice cream and you can taste all 3 flavors of matcha, hojicha, and Hokkaido milk. Had a creamy flavor to it as well and it didn't feel like one flavor overpowered the others. The Shining Hour had a strong grape flavor but not the artificial flavor. Tasted like a grape flavored fruit drink and it had bits of ramune and grape in the ice cream. 10/10 recommend! read more

I've been a long time fan of Wanderlust but came back recently with some friends from out of town. I always love trying their seasonal flavors! What I got: - Seoul Banoffee Pie (4/5) - it has a VERY strong banana flavor. The other flavors like hojicha were much less apparent, but i still really enjoyed this flavor! I would probably want to try others next time though. - Sugar Plum Dairy Fairy (5/5) - i love a good TART plum! The swirled tart plum jam was just enough with the custard ice. Definitely my favorite and i'll be sad when this one rotates out :( It's always a good time at wanderlust and I love that they have new flavors all the time so repeat customers like me continue to enjoy. read more
One of my fave ice cream spots! They've got a ton of Asian-inspired flavors and they do them really well. My partner and I got Smokey Road and Vietnamese Coffee, they paired so nicely together. I also tried the hwachae and corn latte flavors and loved both! Big shoutout to the cashier for being super patient while I sampled like 7 flavors LOL. Super friendly vibe overall. It's been a while since I came for their ice cream. My all time favorites are their Ube Malted crunch and Pandant Tres Leches. I did sample their monthly flavors for April including Shanghai Easter Bunny and Kyoto dark chocolate. The easter bunny was too sweet, but the dark chocolate was pretty good. However I still chose to order my all time favorites and I got the trio samples. I got to scoops of Ube malted crunch and one Tres Leches. It's $8.75 for the trio now. They give small scoops as usual. The flavors still taste very delicious but I was super disappointed that there was no malted crunch at all for my two scoops of Ube. And my partner also got one scoops of Ube malted crunch and she also had no crunch in her scoop. We both were super disappointed because the name didn't change but what happened to the crunch?? For this price with small scoops, they are cutting down ingredients too??? I hope it was just a one time thing...or else I won't be coming back anytime soon. read more
I've been to this location years ago and loved it then. I went back recently and still love it! My favorite flavor is the Ube Malted Crunch and whether I have it at this location or any other ones, it still tastes amazing. They've been consistent throughout the years, I love their concept and I appreciate how creative they get every month with their seasonal menus. It's not easy coming up with new flavors all the time, and Wanderlust has been doing it so well. This is a very tiny ice cream stand inside a mini food hall so it's very easy to miss! Parking can be difficult since they don't have their own parking lot but there are nearby parking structures. Service was friendly and welcoming. Menu has a good variety of unique flavors, particularly Asian flavors like Black Sesame and Pandan!! Pricing is a bit pricey.. Single is $7 BUT they offer a TASTING TRIO for $7.75, which is 3 half scoops of any flavor if you are indecisive like me! Love how they offer samples if you want to try before ordering! They charge $1.50 for cone/bowl, $1.00 for toppings, and prepacked is $13. The Japanese Neopolitan was so delicious and creamy. The matcha tasted subtle and the notes of Sakura and Hokkaido were very nice without being too overly sweet. This was 8/10 The Ube Malted Crunch was so good! The ube didn't taste artificial and the bits of malted crunch was a nice touch! Not too sweet and super creamy! This was 10/10 The Sticky Rice and Mango was very tasty! A pretty decent ice cream shop in the center of Oldtown Pasadena. The flavor I got was reminiscent of an Asian snicker bar with traces of chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and nougat throughout. I don't know if I'd get it again but it definitely made me curious what other flavors rotate through. The shop was clean, the clerk was friendly if a bit rushing to get to the next customer. But overall it's a good place for ice cream if you're already in that neck of the woods. read more

Wanderlust is such a staple now when it comes to a diverse but reliably delicious selection of ice cream that keeps you coming back for more. My go to is always the ube crunch and the pandan ice cream, which complement each other so well! The texture of the ice cream is so good because you get the creaminess of the ice cream but this lightly bready texture with also a light crunch. This location is a tad unique in that it's located in a shared space with other dessert storefronts but still amazing nonetheless! read more

I'm going to dream about this ice cream for days. I love the subtle sweetness and the surprise bits of chocolate covered honeycomb. So tasty. I love all the flavors as well. At some point I'll try all of them. This is located in a place with other businesses. It was pretty quiet when we went in. I didn't catch her name, but the girl working there was nice and provided suggestions for me. I went with the black sesame Oreo at the end, love me a good black sesame ice cream. Quality has gotten down over the years since they've expanded locations. Hence the update from 5 to 4 stars. I've ordered pints multiple times and have had issues each time, consecutively. 1) Americas Homeland not filled all the way 2) Ube malted crunch not having any malt bits 3) Japanese neopolitan having barely any matcha The flavors are still good and workers are helpful with samples if (as long as the line isn't too long) but the menu is limited to single, split single and tasting trio. Always a five star experience wherever you go to wanderlust. My usual location is Atwater but you go to any location and the service/quality are always on point. Still on watch for the FOOD FOR THE GODS but the CHRISTMAS COOKIE was a delicious vanilla creamy sweet flavor. This is in a hustle and bustle kinda area. It shares space with other places.
