Matcha latte and boba milk tea
    Chris C.

Cute little boba shop, The staff was nice enough to let me use the restroom before I ordered. I REALLY had to go, she pointed me in the direct and gave me the code. We got the matcha latte and milk tea boba, my boba bae gets 25% sweetness the milk tea was good, but the matcha latte just taste like earthy milk. Next time I'll get 50%. Just like majority of normal Americans I can't have too much milk not quite lactose but I'll get really gassy. They carry a good variety of milk alternatives. PSA PARKING IS TERRIBLE, be warned we parked near the ayce sushi.

I needed some afternoon caffeine after lunch and a pick-me-up for the drive home to OC. I walked in and ordered at the kiosk. I opted for the Matcha strawberry milk tea latte with organic milk, 75% sweetness, and less ice. I like that they offer customization. The drink was ready a few minutes later. I originally grabbed a skinny straw and realized I needed a wider one since the fresh macerated strawberries would get stuck in the straw. Luckily, we hadn't gone very far and it worked out. Service was great. The drink was delicious. I've been missing out! I'll be sure to order this next time I see it on a menu. Too bad, I'm not in Pasadena more often. I like that they use organic ingredients and they have real taro in their taro milk tea. 7 Tea gets 5 enthusiastic stars. You can park on the street nearby or find a lot to park in. If you like boba tea drinks, this place is legit good. Check them out.

I probably didn't order the right drink. Brown sugar milk tea tastes like syrup. Definitely not the taste of freshly brewed tea. My husband ordered Dr Peach Fruit Tea and his drink is better than mine. Both very sweet and sugary even though we opted for a lower percentage sweetness level. Do not take their sweetness level lightly. Probably won't be back because it's just a bit too artificial tasting. Clean and cute spot though.

Ordered online and pick up was fast and easy. The drink was delicious. The cup wasn't the strongest though. It was broken at the bottom.

    Iced Green tea with aloe

From out of town. Service was friendly and fast. Got green tea with aloe. We also got milk green tea with lychee which was good. House made lychee jelly was excellent. Strawberry smoothie with boba was also good. Would come back and rec to others.

Was in the area and decided to try out this boba place. It can be easily missed on Colorado Dr. with its unassuming sign. It was pretty spacious inside but stuffy as if there was no AC on. There were two kiosks but both were turned off. One staff stood by the cashier and took our order. We got the Jasmine green milk tea ($5.50) and it was in a 24 oz cup. I got half sweet and half ice. Taste was good, nothing spectacular but not bad. Their menu didn't have that many options and nothing really stood out. Price was reasonable compared to some other places.

Wanted a drink after lunch and this was the closest spot but even in this summer heat the 5 min walk was brutal. I've been here a few times and I really like their interior. This most recent visit I went for a coconut mango milk tea with almond milk 50% sweet. The mango definitely provided the extra sweetness needed. I've also had their dragonfruit tea and matcha mango which are nice and refreshing as well. It's a nice place and they have some fun games to play either while you wait for your drinks or while hanging out.

7 Tea Milk Tea - it was okay.. too sweet even at 50% and not the level of tea flavor that I like

Friendly service, I got a free cookie as a first time customer :) 7 Tea Milk Tea - it was okay.. too sweet even at 50%. Tea flavor wasn't strong enough for me.

I was looking forward to trying their Dragon Fruit Yogurt Milk Tea, but ended up being pretty disappointed. I think the dragon fruit wasn't ripe because it did not taste sweet at all. The milk tea itself felt very thin and watered down. Looking at some of the reviews (which I probably should have done before deciding what to get), it seems like a lot of people felt the same about this drink. Also tried the brown sugar milk tea as well, and the consistency was similar. It lacks the subtleties compared to brown sugar milk tea at other places. Boba in both drinks was very soft and flavorless. The only thing I liked about this place was the quiet ambiance with plenty of seats. Service was very curt and she did not call or signal us that our drinks were ready.

First time trying this place as it is close to my home. I first tried to order ahead online, but there were tips & convenience fee added to the price which pushed the drink to over $10. As an Asian, I'm no stranger to boba tea, and I can tell you that's probably the most expensive cup of tea for me. So I decided to call in to place a pick up order. I walked over 5 minutes later, it was ready on the counter for me. I walked over to the cashier to pay for it. I ordered a Four Seans Fruit Tea with boba, the girl rang it up for me. When it was time for me to pay, I've noticed on the screen there was added tip of 15%, 18%, or 20%. There was no way for me to opt out or change it. I would glad to pay tips for services provided at restaurants. But come on, for a to-go order of boba tea, when are we obligated to pay tips, for what services provided? ? Making boba tea and put it in a cup? The drink itself was just ok. Definitely overpriced. I will not come back here again.

I love it when a boba shop knows what they're doing. 7 Tea offers a variety of drinks to choose from and they have non-dairy milk alternatives, which is a big reason for me to choose this spot. I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with half ice, half sweet, and oat milk. Drink took a bit to come out but it was perfectly well made. Not too sweet for my palette either. I did notice they had to redo my drink for some reason but I'm glad they caught their mistake and fixed it before serving. Love the decor where they have lots of tubes lined with beans as you make your way to pick up your drink. They also have a couple of table games with some that proved quite challenging for my friends.

Cute tea shop across from Target and really quick service! I got the blueberry yogurt smoothie and it was really tasty. The 25% sweetness was perfect for me as someone who doesn't like too sweet drinks. They also have nondairy substitutes like coconut milk or soy milk for no extra cost. It is a casual chill vibe

For the drinks itself, not sure what kind of matcha powder they are using but it doesn't seem to be grade quality. The banana latte also tasted like milk. Interior wise, plenty of tables & seating. The cappuccino may be the best I've ever had. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it was very smooth. That alone is worth the trip. AND, my barista did a cute milk art on top. The Kouign Amann was AMAZING. Layered and flaky I confess I ate the whole thing! I can't wait until I can try the other 2 things I've purchased. After all, the chocolate croissant was the primary reason for going. Now for the negatives: Management should figure out a way for more than one person to take orders and box them up. Even Mom & Pop donut shops often have multiple people taking orders. And Porto's has it down to a science. It would go a long way toward clearing the line faster. My second issue was the price. Quality is expensive. I get it. And I'm fortunate enough to be able to splurge for a treat like this. But with a small tip added to my total I spent just shy of $100! TL;DR Mandarin 2 is the only place for the serious spro…read moreenthusiast! Over the years, I've been incredibly honored, blessed and humbled to experience coffee in deeper way than most, locally having the experienced Thee Coffee GOATs/Royalty & LA Coffee Pioneers (Glanville & Babinski and the OG crew that includes but not limited to Jaymie Lao, Percy Ramirez, Brent Glanville, M'lissa, Sumi Ali, etc...and including so many more like Mike Phillips, Tyler Wells, Yeekai Lim, Leon Li, Frank La...I can go on and on), to which I am eternally grateful. Regrettably over the last 10 or so years, it has been my perception that much of the specialty coffee industry has: 1) capitulated to the taste buds of the casual coffee drinker (or the masses) and have abandoned their desire to change hearts and minds with education about a new wave of coffee drinking experience; 2) are shops owned and operated by people who are non coffee professionals (you know who you are!) and lack pedigree & experience. I get it. It's tiring and frustrating trying to help customers understand that what they are drinking is not "weak" coffee just because they "can't taste coffee." The masses & self-proclaimed coffee enthusiasts want "strong/bold" coffee but they themselves don't even understand what that means! Youngsters want to drink their iced lattes all the while pretending to be grown ups and/or be part of some trendy shop. they take 100s of pictures of the same latte and finally post one to their intriguing Instagram story. Why? Because trendy, duh! Thank God for Sherry Gao and the undeniably talented team at Mandarin & Mandarin 2. THESE KIDS ARE BONAFIDE COFFEE PROFESSIONALS!!!! They have phenomenal coffee pedigree! If you are familiar with my senseless ramblings, or so-called "reviews", you will notice that this one lacks my customary per item ratings and elaboration. This is intentional. Considering the subject matter of coffee, I simply cannot and will not write about "how good this latte is", etc. With all due respect, I drink spro, and almost always only spros at shops that actually know what they are doing (with an occasional deviation of a spro & some milk or something else interesting to my palate at the moment). So yeah, if you must know, Mandarin 2 is THEE PLACE for coffee. And to all the iced latte experts, please do spare us your expert opinion on coffee.

This place is for someone who wants to try something new and interesting…read more I'm not Chinese or Asian so these flavors were new to me. I got the seasonal coconut latte and I liked the espresso it was smooth and creamy. My mother got their latte with the milk tea and I personally liked it but she wasn't very happy with it. The baristas weren't accommodating about substitutions or offering to make a new drink. Each business has a right to run it the way they want but be warned that you kind of have to commit to trying something you may not like. This place gives an either you like our drinks or just don't come back type of vibe. They don't really seem to care about appeasing you. Do with that information what you will.
