Their Peach Oolong and Passionfruit black tea with their jellies. They don't do the typical coconut based small pieces of jelly, instead opting for house made with jelly. The price of these drinks is super reasonable, the tea quality great, and the jellies refreshing and delicious. 2. On the more premium side price wise, the taro milk tea here is nonetheless worth it. They use 100% real taro. No syrup. No powder. On top of that, even compared to other places which use real taro, this is the best iteration of the drink I've had. Subtly earthy and only slightly sweet, creamy, even with oat milk. An incredible drink. The vibe is relaxing and nice. Service is solid to great, depending on who is working. The owner is very kind!!! Seating is pleasant. Parking is the only issue since the city metered everything, but if you're grabbing a going, try the Total Wines or Target lot. You'll be fine. I needed some afternoon caffeine after lunch and a pick-me-up for the drive home to OC. I walked in and ordered at the kiosk. I opted for the Matcha strawberry milk tea latte with organic milk, 75% sweetness, and less ice. I like that they offer customization. The drink was ready a few minutes later. I originally grabbed a skinny straw and realized I needed a wider one since the fresh macerated strawberries would get stuck in the straw. Luckily, we hadn't gone very far and it worked out. Service was great. The drink was delicious. I've been missing out! I'll be sure to order this next time I see it on a menu. Too bad, I'm not in Pasadena more often. Walked in and was completely ignored. The cashier turned her back to me the entire time, and crossed her arms as she stared at the wall. I was the only customer there. Highly recommend anything with the mango puree. I got the matcha latte with mango. I know the picture shows chucks of mango, but it is a puree that they make in house. Very good mango flavor. Wanted a drink after lunch and this was the closest spot but even in this summer heat the 5 min walk was brutal. I've been here a few times and I really like their interior. This most recent visit I went for a coconut mango milk tea with almond milk 50% sweet. The mango definitely provided the extra sweetness needed. I was looking forward to trying their Dragon Fruit Yogurt Milk Tea, but ended up being pretty disappointed. I think the dragon fruit wasn't ripe because it did not taste sweet at all. The milk tea itself felt very thin and watered down. Looking at some of the reviews (which I probably should have done before deciding what to get), it seems like a lot of people felt the same about this drink. Also tried the brown sugar milk tea as well, and the consistency was similar. It lacks the subtleties compared to brown sugar milk tea at other places. I would glad to pay tips for services provided at restaurants. But come on, for a to-go order of boba tea, when are we obligated to pay tips, for what services provided? ? I love it when a boba shop knows what they're doing. 7 Tea offers a variety of drinks to choose from and they have non-dairy milk alternatives, which is a big reason for me to choose this spot. We came in to try their coconut puddings with the fruit toppings they advertise - definitely the sort of dessert items we love. And while the pudding was excellent, ours didn't come with any fruit at all - only a very sweet jelly on top. We were pretty disappointed - but I'm only taking off one star bc the pudding was great and service was good as well. You can see from my photos how they picture their puddings and even their sample pudding on the counter shows everything loaded with a fruit topping - even the mango - which is the flavor we ordered. I see other reviewers' photos showing fruit on their pudding so I'm not sure what happened - maybe they ran out of mango? The pudding itself is coconut based and jello-like in consistency with an excellent flavor and not too sweet. It would be fantastic with real fruit on top! They also offer boba teas and slushies and the like. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shop is super clean with various types of nice seating and decor and in a great location. Would be an excellent place to hang out and people watch. Prices are reasonable and they do have a yelp check in offer for 10% but it only applies to online orders which is buried in the fine print. My first time here based on my dear friend's recommendation. Thank you my friend. I have past by this 7 Tea on a few occasions, but never got a chance to check it out until now. It's a pretty nifty place. The setup is different than most boba joints. They have merchandise for purchase and games for play while you're enjoying your boba drink. Their selection of drinks are similar to other tea places with the exception of their Taro Milk Tea that is made with real taro. And that's what I got. Ridiculously delicious! I wished there was more fresh taro LOL. This is the most authentic taro drink I've ever drank... it's the real deal folks! You may choose your milk type... My wife and I tried this place on our anniversary and we weren't disappointed. We had stopped in after being advised to do so coming from next door at 5 POT (which they own) and it was great. We didn't try the food because we had just eaten, but the tea we chose was amazing. The service from the owner was top notch and fast as well! She was such a sweet lady. We chose the dragonfruit boba tea and the cool thing is, you get to choose your sweetness level. That's pretty dope for a boba spot. I'm glad I found this cute little place in downtown Pasadena! I'm not from the area at all but was just around here to grab some dinner and dessert afterwards. I had never seen mango mixed with matcha because places always do strawberry. I tasted the mango at first before it was mixed and I loved that fruity flavor, but after mixing it up, it just tasted like matcha which was yummy too. My bf enjoyed the flavor of his coffee milk tea and said it was just right. I tried the coconut pudding with diced strawberries on top and I thought it was a light and tasty little treat. I've never actually ordered coconut pudding anywhere but I've seen it on menus. We sat and drank and played a game that was on the table that I've actually never seen before so that was cool!
