Sample of Toasted Black Sesame
Linh Y.

As we were perusing inside Blossom Market Hall (BMH) located at San Gabriel Mission District, I saw Jasmine Creamery and knew exactly what its specialty must be... gelato or ice cream? Drum roll please... it's handmade artisanal gelato! Love their motto, "A taste of Asia, one scoop at a time." There is a beautiful story behind this shop... you'll have to read all about it on their website. Thank you T.C. (owner) for fulfilling your dream of owning a gelato shop. Btw, love the full intense durian flavor! Yum!! Free parking behind the food hall. Inside and outside patio seating shared throughout. Lady staff was super friendly and nice. She offered some great recommendations. Thank you Miss! They give out free samples of one or more flavors upon request. You can get single, double, or pack-to-go individual or pint. Prices are very reasonable. They had 11 unique flavors available. I sampled 5 of them before ordering... I probably should have tried all of them... what's 6 more! I came back 30 minutes later and tried one more... durian! I was surprised why I didn't first try the durian since it's my favorite exotic fruit LOL. *Cookies 'n Matcha *Dubai Pistachio Chocolate (2nd sample, good, but costs $2 more) *Durian (6th sample, excellent, will get next time) *Indo-Chocolate Pudding *Javanese Jasmine Tea *Lychee (5th sample, deep lychee flavor, will get again) *Mango Passionfruit Sorbet (Vegan) (4th sample, amazing, get it!) *Strawberry Balsamic Swirl *Taro (3rd sample, very light taro flavor) *Toasted Black Sesame (1st sample, didn't get black sesame flavor whatsoever) *Vietnamese Coffee After sampling, I got one small Mango Passionfruit Sorbet for me and one small Lychee for my eldest daughter. Gelato was packed in the small @ $6.50 each no tax... thanks! I thought my daughter would enjoy the lychee since she normally gets lychee jelly for her boba drinks, but that wasn't the case. She said it was okay. She preferred the mango passionfruit sorbet more so I gave her my small and I got her small. All good as long as we're both happy with our gelato. Friendly staff. Amazing service. Delicious gelato. Yes, we'll definitely be back to try the remaining flavors. I'm coming for you durian LOL. And so should you when you're at BMH if you can withstand the aromatic smell and custardy taste of the durian. Yummy! For those durian lovers, you know what I'm talking about. Thank you Jasmine Creamery for bringing us the king of fruits in gelato form! Btw, they sell selective snacks as well in case you're not into gelato. And they cater! Get your next event elevated with artisanal gelato catering!!

Jasmine Creamery is so good! Their unique take on Asian flavors are really pleasant! Parking: In the SGV Mission called Blossom Food Hall, so there is plenty of parking inside. Although, there are a lot of events, so sometimes parking outside of the Mission and walking inside is better! They open until around 8/9pm depending on the day! Cashier: Very helpful and enjoyed the samples! I believe the owner lady normally works there. Nice and inviting environment as it's in the Blossom Market Hall! Gelato / sorbet : You can sample their "waffle" cone! it's their take on like a Dutch-Indonesian waffle cookie. You can order 1 scoop w/ 1 flavor or 2 flavors for an extra $1+ 1. Cookies N' Matcha - Her take on cookies and cream, sub matcha is so good! I was craving some chocolate and this one has a good balance! It's a bit on the sweeter side, but still yummy! 2. Strawberry Balsamic Swirl - probably her best flavor! The strawberry with a hint of balsamic blends really nicely! 3. Dubai chocolate $2 extra - Super trend, but she gives a good amount of kataifi and a bit of chocolate syrup on top! The pistachio ice cream is what really tastes yummy! We have tried other flavors, but didn't end up getting them. Some are seasonal & highly recommend! The Javanese Jasmine is pretty good as is the Indo-chocoalte pudding w/ rum swirls, but there were not very many swirls left, and lychee! She does have optional vegan flavors and gelatos! She also has pints to-go & smaller snacks similar to Kaya toast.

Needed a bit of dessert after dinner and discovered Jasmine Creamery. A gelato place inside the Blossom Market Hall. They have some creative flavors and I like that you're encouraged to taste the options before making any final selections. Originally, I thought I would go with one flavor but after tasting a few options, I went with a split scoop (one scoop, 2 flavors). I got Cookies n' Matcha and a Strawberry flavor that I can't remember the name of. The Cookies n' Matcha was just cookie fun. The strawberry was simple and not too sweet. I also really tried and enjoyed the Javanese Jasmine Tea flavor. It was really delicate and flavorful bur I'm saving that for next time. The cup looks small but the scoops are definitely good sized and it was plenty, especially after dinner. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

Kaya Toast with onsen eggs

located in the blossom market hall, this spot is now one of my favorites for a traditional kaya toast. Usually kaya toast here in LA aren't served with the onsen eggs, so it is lovely to see a shop preparing it the traditional way. Order: Kaya toast Cons: No cons ($9) can be expensive depending on how you see it but I think it's a good deal for the amount of food

Dubai chocolate and matcha oreo

Delicious and being able to sample the flavors is wonderful. Friendly staff that are very sweet. I got the matcha oreo and Dubai chocolate. Both were fantastic. Get 2 flavors, it's a better value and you get such generous servings. I love the Asian flavors that are hard to find elsewhere. Definitely want to come back and try more.

Tucked inside Market Blossom Hall, this ice cream spot is a gem! There's plenty of parking--street parking right in front and a large lot in the back, which makes stopping by super convenient. They offer around 11 flavors, many of which are unique with a fun Asian twist (think black sesame, matcha, and more). Free samples are a nice bonus, so you can try before you commit. The current seasonal flavor is blueberry yogurt sorbet. $6.50 for a single scoop, very generously packed. Plenty of seating inside, including space for larger groups, so it's a great place to hang out and enjoy your treat. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby!

Pleasantly surprised by all the flavors to choose from! We ordered the flight option, and picking out 6 different ones makes me feel like a kid in a candy store.

Dubai chocolate, javanese jasmine tea

We got a scoop of pistachio dubai chocolate and a scoop of javanese jasmine tea. It was my first time trying any type of dubai chocolate (I'm super late to the trend) and it was delicious, I understand the hype. The jasmine tea was also really good and balances out the chocolate from the dubai chocolate flavor. Service was really nice, the employee was very patient as we sampled different flavors.

This is a great small ice cream stand. I love that it's in a food market, and the flavors are geared toward Asian flavors. They provide big scoops and samples! Parking: A dedicated parking lot is available and a few parking spots are open at the front of the marketplace. Matcha cookies and creme: What I appreciated from this scoop is that you can still taste the matcha even though the cookies are usually stronger in flavor. The cookies were on the mushy and in bigger chunks. It's not dry, crumbly, and small like other cookies and creme. Javanese Jasmine Tea: You can distinctly taste this specific type of milk tea. It's not just a regular milk tea ice cream. There's a floral scent of tea and a little something else, it might be the javanese.

Located in the Blossom Marketplace food court by San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, it can be hard to find parking on the weekend. This place lets you try samples of the flavors. They have unique flavors like durian, black sesame, taro, etc. A single scoop is $6.50. If you want to do split flavors, it's 50 cents extra. I wanted to get the jasmine milk tea but they ran out. However they had it frozen in a togo cup so got that. The downside is it wasn't ready to eat right away.

Walked right up and was curious about the different Gelato flavors, right away was greeted with a friendly smile and offered to try whatever flavors I wanted to try. There's a nice variety of flavors to choose from. It was very creamy and delicious. Very clean and warm atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Matcha Oreo
Janet M.

They had run out of the flavors we were excited about trying like lychee but they had many other Asian flavored options like toasted black sesame, durian, matcha Oreo, and more. Lots of free available parking in back or in the Main Street out front.

What is the brand of milk base used?

Hi Tony! We get our dairy from Scott Bros Dairy, it’s not a brand you can usually find off the grocery shelves.

Lo and behold, thanks to Christina the business exists on here and has been christened "Jiang Xiang Bing Guy"! Although he was working solo that day, when I decided to return on an empty stomach, he had an assistant helping with seasoning and chopping up the 酱香饼. There were about five folks waiting by the time I got there Sunday evening. The guy with the blue UCLA hoodie was purposefully putting on a show, since he had two phones set up for streaming. Every now and again, when he gets a request from someone, he would say "OK no problem!" and continues with kneading, rolling, and transferring the dough to the big ol' frying machine. At $10 per order, perhaps a part of the cost is the spirited mini-interactions. After paying via Venmo, I showed the gal my phone. 他是老板 she said jokingly as she handed me the food. I had mine mild, and honestly it was a delightfully crispy and savory snack for a cold winter evening.

Intrigued and a lover of street foods, I went last night to check it out hoping he was at the same spot and he was! (Honestly San Gabriel Superstore parking lot be popping with bomb street food stalls and trucks over these past years). The guy was calling his food a Chinese pizza but it's actually a Chinese street food called Jiang Xiang Bing(酱香饼) which basically means "saucy pancake". If you can't speak Chinese(don't worry he does understand English though but he spoke to me in Mandarin by default lol), just give him $10 and he will give you a portion. If you don't have cash, he has QR codes for digital payments and once it goes through you can hear his phone notification from his car. When he's done making the bread and ready to chop it, he will ask you how spicy you want it. You can say "xiao la" for mild or say yes and nod your head for the regular spicy lol. The pan fried flat bread was crispy and the sweet and spicy soy bean sauce really went well with it, I'd get it again!!!

Understandable. Uni is on the little more expensive side. But damn. Really, Lotza? You played me dirty with the sauce. ONE tiny ass laddle of sauce barely covering 4 tots. Y'all were stingy I watched as the girl poured the sauce over the tots. She kinda hesitated on to put more cuz even she wondered if that was enough. So the sauce to tater tot ratio was disappointing! The flavor of uni was there. Not too crazy. Yeah u guys put truffle oil on the tots but have u heard of salt? Yeah try that. Sometimes it can be crucial in cooking. Your welcome. Cuz overall it was pretty bland. HUUUUGE disappointment. Huuuuge. Tater tots, uni, and grilled onions? Yummm My styleeee. But failed. For $8 I tried it once and I wouldn't try it again with or without more sauce. Portion was small too. I would recommend to at least TRY. But I would warn them first. Idea of uni cream tots, EPIC. Execution, FAILURE. Sorrrrrry. Other people who are blinded with the hype and idea will think otherwise.
