    Pastor Tacos

I was really craving some good tacos and my partner put me on this place to try and I will say these Al Pastor tacos are incredible 10/10. You definitely need to give it a try if you're near the area, the service was efficient and quick when making our food. I also had the mulitas with asada and it was just as amazing! They also have lots of toppings to choose from like onion, lemon, cilantro and a range of sauces that are all tasty. I will be coming back tomorrow :D

Asada and pastor. Sauces are okay. Wasn't a fan of the orange sauce.

Parking: not the best. You can park right in front if you're lucky. I don't recommend parking at mission hardware since they close early. We parked at CVS and crossed the street. Tacos: they have the typical asada, al pastor, Cabeza, Tripa. They don't have carnitas. Sauces: the sauces are okay. Not that spicy. I enjoyed the green one the most. Service: fast. You order and they make the food before you pay. This is definitely a place where you order then leave. You can stay and eat but there's no tables. There are a feel stools. Feels like a typical taco stand. Rating: 3.5/5, I probably wouldn't come back and would go to a different taco spot.

This taco stand really came in clutch one afternoon. I was juggling both my 3 and 6 year old at the park and it was dinner time. I quickly found this taco stand and was delighted to see that they served a side of rice and beans for a few dollars. It was the perfect meal for my picky eaters. Service and food was good. I'm not a fan of the location being on a busy street and against a construction fence, but hey its a taco stand.

Came here for some late night tacos after some moderate amount of drinking. The food truck its located by the big plaza by CVS. We parked right behind the truck and there were a bunch of spots on the street so no issues with parking. I got their Al Pastor, Asada and Tripa and they were all great. Service was quick and the food was solid.

I was in the area for a baseball game and craving some tacos. I thankfully found this spot on Yelp, and it's a nice little stand with three chairs for seating and a bunch of sauces and onions/cilantro. They take Zelle and cash, and in general the service is pretty fast and affordable! I got 2 tacos (Al pastor and carne asada) and one mulita (carne asada) for a total of $9. Pretty standard street tacos, but damn they pack it and they come out steaming hot! Burned my fingers a bit just from grabbing them. I also like the piece of pineapple they include with the Al pastor, very flavorful! The mulita could have had a bit more cheese, but still delicious with the addition of meat, sauces, and onions/cilantro.

Super tacos is located off of valley blvd, which is a very busy street. There isn't necessarily a dedicated parking lot or street parking for this spot. I decided to park at the corner of the CVS parking lot and walked over. There is plenty of parking spots available in that lot. However, when it came to ordering, I needed to wait, since it was very busy. Even after ordering, it took about 20 minutes to get my items. The main reason is there was one cashier and one cook. I went around 6:30 pm on a weekday. In the meantime, I went ahead and looked at their salsa bar. There was plenty of different sauces and toppings (cilantro, onions, etc) available with to-go containers and bags. This place isn't really ideal for dining and more of takeout. They have stools, but didn't see many people utilize it. For my order, I got (1) asada taco, (1) chorizo taco, and (1) al pastor burrito. The asada was average, but the onions & cilantro really elevated the flavor. For the chorizo, it was on the salty side, but the green sauce really helped cut the saltiness a bit. For the Al pastor burrito, it was too oily for my preference. The burrito also kept falling apart with every bite. I used the orange sauce on the burrito and it was definitely the spiciest. Overall, it was an okay spot, but nothing memorable really stood out for me. I paid in cash, but looks like this spot accepts Zelle as well.

Conflicted... super hit or miss.. My first time here everything wss SOOO GOOD i had the cabeza which was so wonderfully fatty and juicy. The al pastor was sooo flavorful and tender. BUT TODAY I went again and got the al pastor hoping for the same delicious experience but what I got was a burnt pieces. EXTREMELY BURNT NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY. HIDDEN under less burnt pieces Also the first time I ordered, they charged me 22 for 10 tacos when each taco was only $2 and I thought it was just like tax or smthng but when I ordered today for 10 tacos it was $20 so Im confused.

Yelp did not lie. This place is legit. We came here on a colder night and it was kinda quiet so I was feeling a little sus initially. However the tacos here are 100% solid. We had the cabeza, chorizo, asada, al pastor and they were all good. Nothing to complain about really. Toppings and salsa are self serve and available on the side. Street parking is easy. Definitely coming back here again!

Tacos are delicious. They saved us. Heading to ogopogo brewery where there was supposed to be food, we're having a gathering for my sons 32nd birthday and asked if they can prepare 100 tacos and they said give them an hour and they banged them out. Big cups of salsa with all the fixings. Amazing people

    Al pastor + Asada Tacos

A cute tent food stand passed CVS and the 168 Market. Obsessed with the al pastor tacos. A must-try for sure, the meat tasted the best to me. Chorizo being 2nd. The service was amazing, they provided complimentary onions and cilantro, along with lemon, radish, and three different sauces. Parking: There is street parking, but if it is filled, there is plenty of parking at the CVS + 168 Market, and you can walk for 3 minutes.

    Al pastor taco ($2) & Asada taco ($2) & Tripa taco ($3): to-go

*** Cash Only & Accepts Zelle (Use Phone Number) *** Ever since California decriminalized street vending statewide in 2018, I definitely started to notice more and more random street taco vendors in the city of San Gabriel. As of February 2024, there are at least three street taco vendors (excluding taco trucks) scattered across the city. Recently I drove past the New Ave & Valley Blvd intersection and noticed this taco stand with a light crowd. I decided to park & come here for a quick taco bite. Apparently this is not the only Super Tacos location and please see their IG @supertacos0420 for details on other locations (never been to other locations so can't confirm). [Parking]: Street parking only as the strip mall behind this taco stand was burned down in May 2018 (https://www.sgvtribune.com/2018/05/16/fire-is-burning-at-alhambra-area-strip-mall/). If street parking is not available, then customers can also park at the CVS & 168 Market parking lot and walk here. [Ambiance]: Standing only; cashier asked whether I want my tacos to-go or here and I mistakenly said to-go. My tacos were wrapped in an aluminum foil sheet and I completely forgot to get their green and red sauces as I heistly walked back to my car. However I did come back again the next day and try their green and red sauces. [Menu]: Categories include tortas (telera, meat, lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayonnaise, and Monterey Jack cheese), burritos (meat, rice, beans, onion, and cilantro), papa rellena (meat, Monterey Jack cheese, butter, and 5 tortillas), vampiros (golden tortilla, meat, Monterey Jack cheese, onion, and cilantro), tacos, quesadillas, mulitas (beef, Monterey Jack cheese in corn tortilla), and alambres (meat, onion, bell pepper, Monterey Jack cheese, and 6 tortillas). Meat options include asada (grilled steak), pastor (spit-grilled slices of pork), pollo (chicken), chorizo (pork sausage), cabeza (beef head), and tripas (small beef intestines). [Price]: Each taco is $2 except that tripa taco is $3 instead. *** Al pastor taco ($2): You know this al pastor taco is a real deal when the cook sliced a piece pineapple & added to it.. The taco had double-wrapped tortilla and overall this spit-grilled pork taco tasted pretty good. Asada taco ($2): Smelled really good and a solid option. Tripa taco ($3): Not sure why it had a grainy texture. Complimentary sauces: Red sauce tasted really really really spicy. Green salsa tasted pretty solid, but avocado salsa tasted a bit bland. *** Personally stick with asada and al pastor - can't really go wrong with both options as both options are better than tacos from Arandinos Tacos El Patron (a popular taco truck stationed at San Gabriel Superstore). While tacos here are perhaps the best in town, there are better taco options for anyone who's willing to drive to East Los Angeles or El Gato Night Market in Westlake.

Street tacos ! The good life!

Wanted to get some tacos nearby cuz it's too hot to drive far. Found this stand on Yelp and took other Yelper's suggestions to try out and support Indy biz. Glad we did! Tacos were only $2 each and delicious and generous. Yes the chorizo is good! We also tried carne asada and Al pastor of course. So yummy and reasonable we bought another round for all. And tipped well for the very good service of the taqueros. Other people were getting tortas and burritos and potatoes. Will try that next time. Suggest park in the CVS/168 Market lot and walk across the street. It's easier and you might appreciate the walk after eating a couple plates of flavorful tacos.

I already came here for tacos multiple times already but felt like trying something new so I got the California Burrito. They didn't give a receipt but I am guessing it is around $12-13. And I think the tacos are now around $2.50-$2.70. They take card and cash but I believe card has tax. They have the salsas and onions/cilantro out in the table in front of the truck so you can grab yourself while waiting for the food. The food took around 10 minutes are so which wasn't bad. The California burrito was nice and big and very delicious. It comes with steak fries inside with your choice of pork or beef. I went with pork after asking the lady which one she recommended. And it was good! There is also some sauce but I couldn't tell if there was any guacamole. Maybe there was but very little. But the thicker fries was just a perfect combination with the pork and sauce. The only thing lacking is a bit more meat to balance out the fries and some guacamole. I tried a California burrito at another taco truck before but this one is so much better! I will be getting this again and try the beef. I totally recommend this taco truck for tacos and burritos! They taste authentic but just a bit pricer for the tacos. I would say it is more worth on Taco Tuesdays when it is cheaper. This is my go-to taco truck spot.

I normally get tacos but their nachos, fries, dirty dog, and flautas are really good! They also have weekly specials. I haven't tried their fish tacos, burritos, or tortas yet but im assuming they wouldn't disappoint. Their sauce bar is basic but has everything you need. Their to-go cups are at the pick up window, probably to help with waste. I dont think their sauces are very spicy but they're fine. My fave is their salsa verde. They're open late which is nice after events. They're fast and super nice! the line can get long at times. 4/5. Would come back again.

Music plays a little louder than I like sometimes but it works with the colorful ambiance and rustic, hacienda-like architecture, and picturesque oil paintings. The Tampiqueña plate was fresh served with beans, cheese, one small enchilada, lettuce. The meat topped with cooked white onion and sliced jalapeños was tasty but not as much as the burrito. I've been wanting to stop by for a few years, but today I finally stopped with the wife and enjoyed the food and ambiance, you should stop by and try it too. Oh! I was starving. I parked and went in. I ordered 2 fish tacos and the cook instantly got 2 FRESH (not frozen) larger than expected, fish fillets, THEN dipped them into HOMEMADE BATTER right in front of me and dropped them into the fry basket. Where will you ever see that nowadays? They were ready almost instantly, and were done perfect Baja style, with lots of that good salty mayo+crema white sauce. THEY WERE AWESOME. And BIG. And would have cost WAY MORE at any other place...for $5. Really satisfying, I was NOT hungry after 2 of them. Since then I have probably been there 7 times, the quality has never varied. And they make all their own salsas, etc. I have even taken jobs down in that area just so I can eat there! ;-) The only other thing I have tried is taco de lengua, it was equally excellent, with LOTS of meat, not some skimpy little street taco thing. But just go there and see what $5 will get you with the fish tacos, this has to be the best deal in today's food world that I have found and I work all over the San Gabriel Valley and eat at dozens of places. Its not fancy though, old school with lots of handmade cardboard signs showing lots of other dishes, but this is the ambiance you will find in some of the BEST mom and pop type cafe's. The ratio of deliciousness and quality to price is insanely in favor of the customer!!
