The Jamaica was refreshing and not too too sweet. Nothing was overly salty, and it was all reasonably priced. What's a hidden gem. Don't be put off by the exterior of the place...its good here. He had a drink in my hand in less than three minutes and took my order the moment I was ready. Saul was very cool about getting me fed quickly. The food came out in less than 8 minutes, a taco enchilada combo. Just what I needed, homemade for sure, and both satisfying and comforting. A little corn cake rounded out the experience. So my husband called on Sunday to check and they did indeed opened at 10:00AM. When we got there, there were already three sets of groups seated and they had to rearrange some tables for us since our party was nine people, which only took a couple of minutes to arrange. We were served complimentary chips and salsa as well as water as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. I had quickly chosen my dish cause I'm a sucker for mole and there were only two options that had it, so I ended up getting the enchiladas de mole. The servers were great and the food was as pretty good too. I ended up taking leftovers home since I had eaten too much chips and dip before my actual food came cause the server refilled our chips on our end of the table like four times. The mole was pretty good and I wish there was more of it and didn't really enjoy that there was veggies inside the enchiladas since I think I was expecting more chicken than veggies inside. Drinks tasted fine, but overpriced and weak. All in all, if we are going to pay these prices, we expect very good food. This food was not worth coming back for, even if the price was less. I will say one thing, their beans are good.
