The lines were long but quick, and there were open tables for us to sit and chill. We ordered guacamole and chips, tacos, tlacoyo, bowl, and a burrito. We got chips to munch on while we waited. The service felt hectic, but expected for how crowded it was. We sat and munch until our dinner came out one by one. They were gracious enough to give us more chips when asked. The place was casual and simple. I liked the corner where they had a phone and a bucket of beers for a picture op. They have a patio but that was super packed. Their restroom is super tiny, but made sense for the space. The owners were very nice, I believe it's the dad came by and gave us beers. It looked as the whole family was working. Love supporting the local families. We enjoyed the food a lot and it was our first time having a tlacoyo. Everything was great and full of flavors. I was surprised by the amount of avocado I got for my bowl as most places don't give you that much. We enjoyed our night at Zingo's. Will definitely return.
Came here on a whim and El Sereno really put us on. Zingo Tacos is one of those spots you randomly try and immediately want to tell people about. The tortillas tasted fresh, the meats were flavorful, and the portions were generous. Everything came out hot and satisfying, and you can tell they don't cut corners here. It's a no-frills taco spot that just does things right. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to and keeping in our rotation when we're in the area.

They have some seating inside and outdoors in the back. Mulita -not a single glisten of grease on the tortilla, which I'm not use to but a great change up. If you don't like your food dripping with grease but love mulitas, give this one a try. It was a bit dry for my liking. (Crispy) Tripa Doradita taco - was just what I needed. Texture was amazing. Tender but crispy! So flavorful. Asada Taco -surprisingly so tender, even more tender than their Al Pastor. I actually prefer their Asada over their Al Pastor here. Al Pastor Taco -is exactly what you expect it to be. Tlacoyo -really filling, a bit on the dry side. Black beans didn't seem to have anything else mixed in it. Still pretty good after you pair it with their salsas.
Absolutely delicious tacos and burritos, my favorite were the al pastor and pork! They were so friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the options for my vegetarian friends. Recommend checking them out at the farmer's market as well!
Found out about this place through social media and decided to try it out for lunch! I had the horchata, al pastor taco, carne asada taco, doradita, and al pastor burrito and enjoyed everything. I would recommend trying their al pastor, it was very flavorful. I liked it better than the carne asada. Overall highly recommend, food was tasty and the lady working there was so sweet!
This is one of those LA spots you're glad to find. I love their asada here, they really do it right. Some places the asada can be dry, overcooked, and on the crispy side but here that's not the case. Slow cooked, soft bite and rich with flavor that's how they makes it here. Good tacos and burritos. The quesadilla is really good here too. They do know what they're doing and I definitely want to come back here again.
3.5 stars Ordered chicken taco for the kids with no toppings, Tlcoyo with chicken and al pastor taco for takeout. They are very generous with the meat. The Al pastor taco was good and well seasoned. It's not the kind that is freshly sliced off the stick and doesnt come with pineapple so it's not the al pastor flavor I was seeking. The chicken taco has large chunks of chicken meat. The meat was flavorful. Im not sure if this is a takeout problem but the meat was a bit dry and the tortilla edges were dry. Im sure it would have been better if we were able to consume it fresh. Despite that the flavor of the chicken was good and the kids loved it. I like that all the tacos come with cilantro, onions, salsa and guac by default. The Tlacoyo is a tortilla/bread like vessel that is filled with black beans and then topped with cheese and meat of choice. I can really liked the corn flavor. If you like beans, and taco meat combo with a nice corn flavor this is for you. Overall a pretty good taco place for locals.
Stopped by for a quick bite. The ladies in the front were friendly, welcoming and answered any questions I had. I tried the "famous" Tlacoyo. It was delicious, the asada was great. I wasn't disappointed about the tlacoyo.
This scrappy food joint serves the textbook definition of a taco you eat to sober up. While I'll go on record and say I ate here sober, this place serves tacos made with love and were drenched in grease, which I would absolutely recommend draining or ordering the chicken for instance. The person serving us was super friendly and readily welcomed us, of which I'm very grateful for. The menu was also pretty budget friendly and was surprised at paying what I did, even if the tacos are smaller. The overall ambience was also dirty, and had gnats flying around however. I'm happy to give this place another chance someday, as first impressions don't necessarily mean a final one. Heres to you guys!
Delicious authentic Mexican food. Stopped here for a quick bite. My husband and I both had tacos. He had the Al pastor and carne asada tacos and I had their tripas tacos. They were so good. The best tripas tacos I have had in LA. My husband's favorite were the asada tacos. The tortillas are small, but they really load them up. I love how they individually wrap each one. The service was great. When the lady brought the tacos out she was so happy and sweet. I felt like I was a kid getting served by my grandma again. I loved the ambiance. Spanish music and friendly faces all around. Outdoor seating only. Street parking out front.
First time here , the service was excellent. The ladies were very friendly and nice. Great tasting food . Very impressed
This place is one of THE BEST spots I have found in LA! Delicious, service is incredible, did I say delicious?! So quaint in here. You will feel like you are eating with family!

Arguably one of the best places for asada. I've dropped by a few times for dine and or togo, and the food has been great. So far I've only had their al pastor and asada. Salsa is perfect too. Being both at csula both as staff and student, I feel spoiled knowing I can make a quick trip to Zingos. They have a lot of seating, both indoors and a shaded outdoor area. Service is pretty quick and courteous. Boss lady is a little rough around the edges, but I'll overlook that as long as I get my food. Street parking only; park in the neighborhood and walk over. It's worth the effort driving on this side of town for delicious food! read more

Didn't know about this place until I saw it on Yelp, we gave it a try and it didn't disappoint. We tried one of each, our least favorite was the al pastor which it was a bit disappointing since pastor is my favorite, but the papas con rajas and chicken tacos made up for it. The service was prompt and friendly, the place was clean including the restroom. They have a nice patio in the back, nobody was there since it was a weekday and it was a bit cold outside. We will definitely be back! read more

This taco spot was on Mission and Huntington Dr in the early 2000s.. One of the orginal taco stands using charcoal. By accident I found this taco shop on Valley Blvd. The tacos still taste the same. Best in L.A. in my opinion. The molitas are crunchy and tacos are small with double tortilla, just like how I like them. read more

I saw the tlacoyo on yelp and thought hmm interesting that they're not calling it a huarache lol. So, I decided to check it out. Simple little restaurant and great service even though you order at the front. Very nice employees and food came out in good time. They didn't let me down w/ the tlacoyo with asada was delicious and unique to me at least. Never had it before and it was good. Same w/ the mulita. Best part was the marinated grilled steak. Perfection! Definitely coming back!!! read more
My counseling team went to a meeting in the area, and afterwards we stopped by for lunch. I guess they have been here before, but it was my first time. One of my coworkers has been coming here since before it became brick and mortar and was just a stand. I think it's awesome that they were able to expand and be so successful. The area is not the nicest and I would have never just "happened" upon this establishment. Also, parking is a bit of a nightmare, and I had to go up into the neighborhood where only one side of the street was available. At least I got to walk off a bit of my food. Lol. Once inside I ordered an asada tlacoyo and an asada quesataco. The latter was my favorite. I should have gotten multiples of this. The meat has this unique char on it that was very tasty. The tlacoyo was extremely filling, and although I enjoyed it, I probably wouldn't order it again. Two people in our group got the chips and guacamole. I thought about it, but refrained. I shouldn't have, because they were delicious. If I ever come back, I will get that for sure. Actually, we have another meeting next month. Hopefully we return and I'll get more tacos and chips and guac! read more
These tacos were brought to me and the order was one carne asada and one al pastor taco with everything and two carne asada tacos with everything on the side. I wanted to try their tacos their way and then my way. The person who brought the tacos had my order in text form but he's a little sus when it comes to paying attention to detail so I don't know who's to blame for the error (my money is on my buddy). So, I'm pretty sure there was no al pastor taco and they didn't include onions and cilantro. But, at least I got my green sauce and that's more important to me than the onions and cilantro. This review will be as if I only had carne asada tacos. Let me tell you these tacos are not hype. The meat was deliciously flavored and it had a very good "off the grill" flavor. There were bits of some tasty fat as well that must have snuck through but they only added flavor and were not those gross pieces you sometimes find in your tacos. The way they are prepared was a perfect flavor combo and this is coming from someone who prefers green over red salsa. All of the flavors blended well. As you can see from the tacos where I got everything on the side, the red salsa is different in color. The red salsa in the container is a tomate quemado (burnt tomato) salsa and it was yummy. The green salsa was yummy as well. The guacamole by itself is flavorless but when combined as in the other photo, you wouldn't know it lacked flavor. So, have them both ways so you can see what their signature taco is like and also add your own flair with the different salsas. These tacos were that good that I made sure I picked up every last little crumb. I ate like I hadn't eaten in years and my tummy was very happy with this meal. You guessed it, a yummy in my tummy rating and this girl will definitely be patronizing this joint over and over read more

The tortas and tacos are so delicious the tacos have a lot of meat the asada is off the grill and if you like tripitas it's a must nice and crunchy and the torta very flavorful the service is great read more
Excellent asada burrito! High quality ingredients and the asada was full of a woody smoky taste. They do not skimp in the meat. Black beans, rice, guac, grilled onion, cilantro - simple but definitely a biggg step up from the usual Mexican fast food joints. Feels mom and pop but has a good modern yet local comfort. Nice outdoor patio, 2 salsas, and really good Jamaica agua Fresca. My partner enjoyed their chicken bowl. I didn't get a photo but it was plated nicely. would revisit! read more
