    Two Churros

Chano's Drive-In is a well-known spot in San Gabriel, offering homemade tortillas and various Oaxacan specialties. Some of their most popular dishes include Asada Burritos, Super Fries, and Tlayudas. I recently attended an event at my son's school where Chanos was a vendor. It was my first time seeing them there, and I was glad to see them, as they've replaced other vendors in the past. I had already eaten, but who can resist a burrito?! My son was getting hungry, so I ordered an Asada Burrito for us to share. It was pretty good; the tortilla was excellent. I wasn't a fan of their rice and beans, but the asada was not bad. They had a few salsas to try. They used those tiny salsa containers, which everyone knows. Restaurants use them to prevent over-indulgence, but it takes a while to get enough salsa because they're so small. I understand it's a cost-saving measure. They were also serving Churros ($3), and I got two. They were okay, a bit doughy in the middle, making me think they were undercooked. The guys working the booth were super friendly and attentive. I appreciate them! Realistically, the burrito was a 3/5, but with the good service and their community support, I'm rounding it up to a 4. Until next time, Chanos! Gracias!

A hidden Oaxacan restaurant in SGV. The food is hearty and delicious. With a large menu, they serve breakfast style meals and lunch/dinner. My favorite is the Menudo which is only served on the weekends. The restaurant is small but there is in door and outdoor seating available. The cashier speaks Spanish and English.

10/23/25 Consommé--Goes so great with the Quesabirria

10/23/25 Nice "hole in the wall type of restaurant in SGV specializing in Oaxacan fare, hand made tortillas (hechas a mano), fairly quick service, delicious eats in a casual setting. Looking for late night eats, I'm too tired to cook & this popped up after driving around what seemed like an eternity. Hubby ordered Al pastor burrito without beans, and Quesabirria with consommé for me & a fish taco! Oh my Golly! The consommé came out piping hot (s little bit on the salty side but great!) Delicious!!!! Dipping it was so satisfying. Their green salsa was fresh n tasty! Hubby said his burrito was okay, "I had better". And he ended up eating my 3rd Quesabirria. Parking is plentiful in a dedicated lot. Dining in available with a few outdoor patio tables & chairs. Would highly recommend & will return

    Nachos Supreme Quesadilla Soft Taco

Service was 10/10. Cashier was very kind and patient since it was our first time! I was craving a quesadilla and this did not disappoint. We asked for the tortilla to be cooked a little crispier and they delivered. Love their red salsa. The vibe in the restaurant felt very home-y. I love it! I got the asada and pastor soft tacos for $3.69 each. Kinda pricey but it was bigger than a normal street taco. I wasn't a fan of the pastor since it had a very strong cinnamon taste to it towards the end but that's just personal preference. Nachos were yummy but wish there was more cheese on it. All in all, I can't wait to come back :)

I've driven past this place a million times, and I've always wondered if the food was good. So I decided to look up the menu, and lo and behold, they have crunchy tacos, which is one of my favorites. Chuys used to have the top spot, but every since they moved locations and went cheap on the meat, they've dropped off the list. But I digress, the meat in the taco was a good amount, the shell was super crunchy, and the salsa was on point. I could go for a little more cheese though. I'm also a nachos fiend so I got a small Nachos Supreme. The flavor was there, serving size was there, my only problem was there was only like 10 chips! So I ended up with a bunch of toppings, but nothing to scoop them with. Other than that, the food is good! Will definitely be back for the tacos for sure.

Ordered a pastor burrito. Taste decent but was on the skimpy side. Was hoping it was at least a lb but it was only a little over 12 oz. Barely any meat

    Tiniest Breakfast Burrito I've seen

Came here for a quick breakfast burrito before my gym session. A lot of options, portion is not what I'd expected. Burrito was overly saturated with beans as the asada was lost in it. However, I did like how they cooked the eggs. Other than that nothing spectacular, sauce was alright. Cute establishment as it's a mom and pop shop.

I wanted Chanos on a Wednesday and was so excited to get it again for dinner but unfortunately they close earlier. Went to another place to get Asada fries and it wasn't the same. The Asada fries are superior!! Bar none We did finally try their mole enchiladas and it was delicious. Can't wait to try their other dishes

Been going here for years. This place is always consistent with their food. A very clean hole in the wall with great hard working employees. I almost always get the 2 crispy tacos plate which is excellent. But I've also had burritos and a chile relleno here as well and great. One of the best mexican paisa spots for real mexican foor in the city of San Gabriel. Prices are very reasonable as well. A gem of a place for this community.

    Decent food. Price higher though.

Ordered carne asada fries. Decent food. Good taste. Supports Apple Pay. Price higher though.

    Chorizo Breakfast Burrito
    Christopher D.

I heard good things about the breakfast burritos here, so I stopped by to give it a try. It was just okay. The chorizo was a little bland & the beans were probably the highlight. The salsas were fresh, but mild. It was also very small for the price. Service was friendly and I wanted to like this place, but I don't. It's just not great value. La Azteca is my preference.

    expensive ass "nachos" inedible

$7 for half ass melted shredded cheese and chips! It says cheese nachos which traditionally is with nacho cheese. Why would anyone want just shredded cheese and chips.... robbery to say the least. Very disappointing
