The coffee didn't spill, but the cup was barely filled. I'm disappointed with how little coffee I received.
I've had this bookmarked for a while, so I was so excited to finally try it while I was down in SoCal in June. We were grabbing some drinks for a little picnic date at the park with my cousin and her GF. First off, this entire store is my FAVORITE aesthetic. Everything is just so pastel and cute inside. It just makes me happy being in here. There was also a pop-up vendor while we were here and he was handing out samples of mochi bites - we ended up buying some as snacks for our picnic. Super yummy and fluffy texture of the mochi bites. There's also so many drink options here, but I ended up going with a Guava Matcha Latte. The guava puree was the perfect sweetness and balanced well with the matcha. It mixed really well together and I'm so glad that more places have guava-flavored drinks on the menu. We ordered a few other drinks and I got to try a sip of each other's drinks. Everything was all so good, so I definitely want to come back and try more of their menu.
This place has pandan matcha latte! As you know I LOVE pandan and finding good pandan drinks is so hard to find! The matcha is so creamy and earthy on the top and when mixed with the latte it's perfection! Let me tell you about their bakery goods...they are definitely one-of-a-kind pastries that will revitalize your taste buds! I never had a strawberry green matcha mochi scone and it was divine! This is definitely something I don't know how to make and I'm willing to splurge on this particular item because it's such a complex pastry to perfect. It's not too sweet and the strawberry cream on top adds the right balance to the entire scone. I definitely need to try all their other unique pastries! Staff was friendly and service was prompt. There is a restroom in the back of the cafe and several small tables inside to chill with your friends or work. Shaded parking is in the structure and there were plenty of clean spots available. I do wish they had an outdoor shaded seating area but there isn't room out front as it's a walking path.
After hearing great things about this local café, I knew I had to check it out for myself. I stopped by on a quiet Tuesday morning and was impressed by the creative selection of pastries and drinks available. The interior space was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to get some work done or simply enjoy a sweet treat. The staff were also very friendly and efficient, and my drink was ready within minutes. Earl Grey Matcha: 3/5 The Earl Grey Matcha was decent, but the flavors were much more subtle than I expected. Both the Earl Grey and matcha notes were fairly muted, and the drink tasted predominantly milky. While I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, I wished there were more of the distinctive floral bergamot notes from the Earl Grey. A bolder matcha flavor would have also helped create better balance and depth. Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone: 5/5 The Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone was absolutely fantastic. It was soft, moist, and gooey on the inside with beautifully crisp edges that added a wonderful contrast in texture. The mochi provided the perfect amount of chewiness in each bite, and the strawberry cream was light and refreshing, balancing the subtle earthiness of the matcha beautifully. The combination of flavors and textures made this the standout item of my visit. Re:Bakesic definitely impressed me with its cozy atmosphere and creative pastry selection. While the drinks have room for improvement, the Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone alone is worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastries and seasonal offerings!
Came around 2-3 pm so alot if their baked goods were sold out. Got their mango matcha and had to add some agave to make it a little sweet. The mango was subtle but it was there even after mixing it up. The pandan flavor was stronger. Still prefer coffee here more though. By the time it was our turn the last cookie got sold out and only the gochujang cookie was left. I didnt feel like eatting that one so i decided to skip it. But i wouldve loved to their their mango mochi.
5/17/26 Thanks to fellow Yelp Friends (kudos to Sam, Ian & Christy), this cafe intrigued me. The shop is modern with cute & clean designs, pastel colors, friendly, amiable & serious baristas (hey, the espresso machine is La Marzocco, I'm impressed), they sure make great beverages! Of course, I went on a Sunday at about 2 pm, the pastry boards barely had any crumbs left. I was so looking forward to trying the mochi scone that Christy recommended. This gives me an excuse to return another day to try other items and that mochi scone. I'm feeling generous, so I give a 5 star off the bat--and I haven't even tried their pastries that my Yelp friends are going nuts for. There's a parking garage, which I think is free (Hubby just dropped me off). Did not visit their facilities. The patrons ranged from students to older adults, sitting &/or just picking up beverages. The note stated LAST CALL for espresso at 3:30 pm. NO CASH transactions. All in all a great experience. I'm definitely impressed with the quality. taste & smoothness of the beans used here. Service with a smile sealed the deal for me. *** UPDATE: 5/29/26 Sent Hubby to scope out what's left on the pastry shelf at 10 am and finally got me the matcha strawberry mochi scone. KUDOS to Christy-- definitely worth the hype (hi to Nevin too) Oh me oh my! I first tasted the matcha, a tiny bit of the strawberry BUT oh WowZaH- the MOCHI part was the superstar!!! I didn't fall in love with re Bakesic at first sight. It happened slowly over time! They know their aesthetic and are true to themselves as a bakery x cafe but I know my aesthetic and it's for the drinks haha. The coffee here used to be meh but now it's earned a spot in the rotation for my caffeine fix. I come in for their Osmanthus latte so please keep it on the menu!! Any of the matcha with syrups are a win for me as well. I think the main appeal for me is the smooth taste and light flavors. Not saying their drinks are flavorless at all, I was just telling the barista today every time I come in there seems to be a new drink, which leads me to their other strong suit; experimenting with new drinks! Anyway, the baristas are always so nice, drinks come out within minutes perfectly and consistently each time, and anything I tried in the baked goods case were a win. My only complaint is that my phone service doesn't work in the bldg but they have WiFi so i usually just zone out before grabbing my drinks LOL.
This place is pretty cute came here because I saw on Instagram mochi wrapped around mango. I came in the afternoon and unfortunately they ran out. I got the Hoji Cha tea with strawberry cream. That was pretty good. My date got the coffee and thought it was OK, but nothing special. I would come here again if the mango mochi became part of their regular menu. Cookies were pretty good. I got the chocolate chip walnut and it was nice because it came out of the oven. As for the ambience, it was cute and simple. The people were nice and good amount if seats for people to sit. I suggest to park in the sprouts parking lot next to it.
Re Bakesic is one of my go-to SGV cafes! I adore the matcha lattes they make, as they are consistently smooth and creamy. My favorite is the cookie butter matcha latte, which is a specialty drink they make only occasionally. I also tried the strawberry shortcake birthday matcha latte which was released for their 1st anniversary. I enjoyed the freshness of the strawberries and the creaminess of the drink! I also liked the pineapple bun cookie, as it wasn't too sweet and had a really tender, crumbly texture. Unpictured, but their black sesame Earl Grey cookie is also really yummy! The cafe has such a cute interior, and the service is consistently friendly. I highly recommend checking out this cafe!
Came here for the instagram mango mochi but to our disappointment it was a one time only thing!!! However the store itself is super cutesie inside with lots of seating, WIFI for working in the shop, they play some nice music. We tried the baked goods including the blueberry matcha cupcake and the pineapple bun cookie. I would give the cupcake like a 3/5 it was a bit dry but great icing flavor. The cookie was a 4/5 with nice flavors also but a bit dry. Matcha itself was very tasty and high quality and not too sweet which is nice! My bf got the guava iced beverage which was super tasty and fresh. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a refreshing beverage and maybe a place to work this is a great place to do so.
Such a cute store from exterior to interior. I'm not a matcha connoisseur so matcha is matcha to me. I wouldn't know the difference of it being very good or bad. However, I picked 3 cookies and they were all bomb! All that sugar? Give it to me. Texture was perfection too. Pretty expensive for cookies though. I wanted a bag to put the box of cookies to take home but unfortunately they don't have bags to go. I'd come back to try other items.
Do you want to try a new coffee shop with tasty drinks and cute cookie flavors? Well, this is one of them, and I love how cute the interior is, too! Today I ordered a pandan coffee which also has milk inside and it is iced on a nice hot day. Don't forget to stir your drink when you get it. Tasty and delicious and I also got a sesame cookie as well. Overall fun times and great space to just hang out and chat for!
First time visiting Re Bakesic to get some work done with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff greeted me as soon as stepped up to the counter. Good drink options, but no decaf for those of who are caffeine-sensitive. Lots of yummy and freshly baked pastries. The space is clean, warm, and welcoming. It was quiet with ample table space and seating. Very appreciative of the free wifi and multiple outlets! Clean code-entry bathroom. Easy enough parking in the structure or nearby plaza parking lots. Will be back again to do work while enjoying good coffee and pastries.
My only wish is that you open at 7:30am instead of 8am! So after my 7am class next door I can grab pandan latte...Amazing way to wake up & make it thru the day. Had no idea this place was here until my friend told me about it. Tried some pastries too...I bought the corn bread slice, choc chip. Love that they are freshly baked daily! Nice staff. Cute shop & in my neighborhood near Sprouts plaza. There's a structure for free parking too. Tried their Pandan Matcha Latte today and although it was a good drink they filled it with too much ice. For $8 you would think you would get more drink for that price. Either order light ice or none at next visit. read more

I found this place on Yelp and it delivered as promised!!! First off I got there about 5 minutes before opening and there was a line of about 6 people and others showed up behind me... My first thoughts was wow they must have good coffee... Instead I found out that they make fresh mochi in weekends and looked like some big ass giant fresh mango mochi... Unfortunately I don't like mango but bought one to give my friend since I had to go-to get birthday lunch after. FYI she told me it was really good.... This is probably one of the best coffee shops in Alhambra if you are a hot coffee drinker.... The beans are from a roaster in North Carolina called Black and White.... My first drink of the morning was a pour over drip and I've never had a coffee blend with notes with so much flavor you can see my picture with what they are.... It was perfect and was smooth and more of a light to medium roast. After that I got a latte just to try how they make those and a lot of their syrups are house made as well.... The cookies looked good but didn't want to eat badly before lunch. The place overall is bright and clean and have some community tables with enough space to bring a laptop and just chill... The staff was ultra cool and friendly and at least the gal who helped me at least knew about coffee.... Definitely recommend and will come back!!! read more

Nice staff, lots of parking, and amazing baked goods!! I absolutely love the interior here too- lots of natural light, white and peach tones, and natural wood. I like getting their iced matcha latte but today I opted to try the iced early grey matcha latte (with oat milk.) Very clearly a nice earl grey flavor and not too sweet. Lots of places I have to ask half sweet for their matcha but not here! They typically use agave as their sweetener in their iced matcha latte but they have simple syrup if that's more your vibe like it is mine :) I always love coming here and trying their delicious pastries and food made in-house. Today I tried a spam kimchi hand pie and it was SO GOOD. Absolutely delightful. I love that they keep making new pastries. I also got the oreo daifuku and it was delicious - so soft and chewy. Great place to come chill and drink good matcha. Coming back for sure! read more

Pretty good new tea spot for the area. They have some unique cookie flavors, although I was just here for a quick iced drink on a hot day. There's a decent amount of seating if you want to have a conversation too, plus a restroom. Onto to the drinks, the wait did take a while but you can tell they use care with mixing the matcha and the staff was very nice to apologize when they got to serving my drink since the wait was longer for mine. I got a nicely made matcha apple tonic. This is probably a first for me, but everything was well balanced and a good amount of matcha. It actually gives off more fall flavors but I'm here for it. I had a lovely experience at Re Bakesic (Alhambra). I ordered the Strawberry Field Coffee ($6.50 - 12oz). It's Strawberry Puree, two Shots of Espresso, Milk, and Strawberry Cream. I felt awake and happy after sipping. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Re Bakesic (Alhambra) on Friday (around 8:30AM). Parking is easy. There's a large parking garage. Staff is professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Staff maintained a pleasant, cheery demeanor during my visit. My drink took two minutes and 22 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I ordered the Strawberry Field Coffee ($6.50 - 12oz). Without mixing, I immediately tasted fresh milk and cream. However, the magic occurs only after being thoroughly stirred; the taste of freshly roasted coffee blossoms, and it's quickly entangled among the tangy, fresh flavor of strawberries. There's hidden strength with this coffee, and it's delightful. My biggest nitpick will be the coffee's small 12oz size; regardless, it's prepared very well. Regarding ambiance, Re Bakesic (Alhambra) is a welcoming, clean, and cute location. The pastel colors felt comfy and calming. This location also has three electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details are on the counter. And there's a customer gender neutral restroom. I also appreciated the self-service water station. The location also felt spacious with its tall ceiling. There's two long tables and four tiny tables. The music is also chirpy, upbeat music. Overall, I had a delightful experience at Re Bakesic (Alhambra). Staff is welcoming and professional; ambiance is comfortable and clean; and the coffee is fresh & delicious. Really enjoyed trying the spring menu at Re:Bakesic--everything felt creative and well thought out. We tried a mix of their seasonal pastries and drinks, and nothing disappointed. The Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone was one of my favorites--the matcha flavor was nicely balanced with the strawberry, and the mochi added a fun chewy texture. The Easter Pistachio Chocolate Mochi Egg Tart was not only super cute but also very rich and satisfying. The combination of pistachio and chocolate worked really well, and the mochi inside gave it an extra layer of texture. Tried their spring menu "Childhood Memory" and "Zen Bloom", I think they were just okay. Overall, I love how their menu combines unique flavors without being overly sweet. Great spot if you're looking for something a little different from your usual dessert and coffee places. read more
Glad I gave this place another chance! In a city full of boba places, a good matcha and coffee is much appreciated especially if I don't have to drive to ktown. Osmanthus Honey Latte ($6.50) -- Very smooth, not too sweet, slightly floral, good! Apple Matcha Tonic ($7.25)-- Bright, citrus, crisp, the matcha is nice and strong, not my flavor profile though wouldn't get again Earl Grey Matcha Latte ($7)-- Surprisingly sweet? It tastes like cereal milk. Don't smell/taste the earl grey at all. I like the regular matcha latte better. Corn cookie ($5) -- Nice and chewy, tastes like cornflakes! White rabbit cookie ($6?) -- Kind of flat like very flat melted down cookie, sweet and chewy! Of today's choices I would get the osmanthus coffee and corn flake cookie again. And last time (unpictured) the hot matcha latte was also good. read more
Got an iced americano here and studied. Limited seating with 2 big tables and a 3 small tables with stools but overall a nice place to study on a weekday. Have been here before on a weekend and it does get loud and busy so wouldn't recommend coming to study on a weekend but for drinks i'd say it is a nice spot to come with easy parking in the back. Prices are on the higher side but they do have really interesting drinks such as their seasonal guava series. The service was really friendly and helpful. read more

I got influenced and went here for the hyped up viral Mango Mochi! I don't know man... I'm just so disappointed with the mochi quality I've been seeing hyped up by SM... Nuo mochi was just as disappointing... We did not finish our mango mochi. We did not like the mochi AT ALL! It basically melted away... it was so liquid-y... no structure, no bite, just slime and goop... the mangoes were ok. one was sour, not very ripe. that was a bummer. Drinks: Guava lime refresher - we didn't taste much guava and the lime flavors reminded me more of dehydrated limes? not sure. it wasn't our favorite. Pandan Matach Latte - the initial sip was bitter because it's straight up matcha over pandan. After it sat for about 10mins and really melted into each other, the flavors were much more balanced and delicious. I think the drink overall reminded me of the Pandan baked oily sponge cakes you can find at any asian supermarket or bakery? IYKYK Cookies: gochujang was the one we were most curious about and hesitant but was actually our favorite! I would absolutely get this one again. It tasted like a brown butter cookie with a hint of gochujang sweetness, barely any of the spice. you do get the slightest kick like 5secs later. Mango matcha was my second favorite mainly for the mango slices adding an extra layer of texture. Earl grey was lacking salt sadly. It just had a mild sweetness for me, no depth of flavor I was hoping for. Ube Monster cookies was your typical monster type vibe. Nothing much to rave about. If you like oreos, you'll just be paying a premium here for oreos served in a fancier way lol. At least the cookie ate very moist. read more

One drink! Apple matcha tonic! I love seeing new businesses pop up in Alhambra. This spot has a lovely aesthetic with its soft pastel tones and offers a great atmosphere for just hanging out. I opted for the apple matcha tonic because I've never seen this at a cafe before, and it reminded me of the cafes I went to when I was in Taiwan. It was refreshing and didn't feel like I was overladed with caffeine. I would certainly come back for this drink alone and also to try some of their pastries because they looked cute- perfect for a sweet craving. read more

Such a lovely little coffee shop! Stopped by on a Tuesday to get some work done and I was greeted by friendly staff who offered some great recommendations. I ended up getting the kinako matcha, which is a matcha latte topped with a roasted soybean powder cream - I absolutely loved it and would recommend this drink if you're looking for something a little bit different/Asian inspired. I forgot to adjust the sweetness but the drink came out not too sweet which was perfect! Their cookies also looked delicious too - they have some unique flavors like gochujang and corn cookies. Would recommend the cafe as a place to get some work done - they have 2 large communal tables and a few smaller tables. They have free wifi as well an attached free parking structure, which is a huge plus. Definitely will be back to try more of their drinks and baked goods! read more
Cute spot that feels a little hidden from all the craziness. There is a parking structure or the parking lot across the street that you can walk over. Came here around 2pm and there were no more pastries. So come early if you want to grab some! I got their Kinako Matcha. I was questioning myself about the roasted soybean cream on top but once you mix it with the matcha, it's a good combo. The drink isn't overly sweet and good! Their pastries look amazing, and unfortunately I did not try any on my last visit, but I will definitely give them a try next time. I was a little disappointed that the Gone Nuts drink was taken off the menu. It looked so unique and was the one I wanted to try the most. I also had my eye on the Honey Osmanthus latte, which ended up being really good and would have been my second choice anyway. I believe it is a seasonal item, but I honestly think they should add it to the permanent menu. The osmanthus flavor is very light and subtle, and the honey adds sweetness in a natural way without that heavy syrup taste. Everything tasted smooth and well balanced. There are plenty of tables, but it does get busy on the weekends, which is when I went. Parking is convenient with a structure behind the cafe and additional spaces across the street in the large lot near Sprouts and other restaurants. The location is very convenient right in the middle of everything on Main Street. Overall, I really like this cafe. I will definitely come back to try their pastries and more drinks. I just wish they had a slightly larger menu selection and would bring back the Gone Nuts drink because I was really hoping to try it. read more
I genuinely love this coffee shop. It's one of those places you walk into thinking I'll have have a drink and something to nibble on, but somehow leave with a box of desserts you didn't plan on buying. I honestly came for one and ended up with way too many. Their desserts are seriously so good. The flavors are unique and creative without being overwhelming. The flavors match the population they serve and that's what I appreciate. You can tell they actually put thought into balancing the flavors and textures. It just tastes intentional and fresh. Of course, if you fall in love with a flavor (corn, ube, pistacio, peanut, white rabbit, classic chocolate chip...), then you might have to wait for it to come back around the next cycle. Honestly, that's part of the excitement...and one they sell out for the day, they are out. If you're someone who appreciates creative desserts, seasonal flavors, and a cozy coffee shop vibe, this place is definitely worth checking out. I've been here at least 6 times since its first soft opening and It's become one of my favorite spots for a sweet treat and a good cup of coffee with friends and work colleagues. read more
Re Bakesic is located right across the street from Alhambra Place which makes it convenient for parking and stopping by for a sweet treat after shopping! I'm usually not big on coconut drinks but I was definitely tempted with the cute heymugi collab cup. Surprisingly, the coconut water didn't have a strong coconut taste. It tastes like a raspberry yogurt drink. I would say they have the best ambiance for studying as the music playing in the background is soft and not loud at all. They also sell matcha bowls and chasen stands. Staff was friendly too. read more
This cute little shop was so cute and fun to try! The service was so fun. The barista was so up eat and hyped me up all the way. She gave me some really great recommendations and I tried a latte that wasn't as sweet as I wanted but! It was still good. The cookie was delicious and big enough to share with other people. I was looking for a quick pick me up coffee before work. I took a look at the online menu and photos and ultimately decided this was the spot! I went around 8:40 AM and was able to order right away. Once I looked at the pastries/menu, I realized none of the items I wanted to try were available like the gone nuts drink, hojicha cookie, matcha red bean scone, and banana bread. I did end up getting the "On Cloud Nine" drink. It was good and not too sweet. I also left with a few pastries to share with colleagues. I ended up getting (1) Oreo Ube Mochi Scone, (1) Miso Sesame Toffee Cookie, (1) Corn Cookie, (1) Dubai Chocolate Mochi Ball, and (1) Black Sesame Earl Grey Cookie. The drink was prepared quickly and everything was packaged well. All of the pastries received great compliments from my team! My personal favorites were the Oreo Ube Mochi Scone and Corn Cookie. If you prefer something a bit sweeter, then I'd recommend the Dubai Chocolate Mochi Ball. This store does look like a great spot to study. Lots of tables available. I came today and lined up at 8:00 a.m. for the mango mochi that everyone has been hyping up since the last drop. Apparently this was also the final release before the end of mango season, so I was excited to finally try it. I ended up waiting about 40 minutes in a long line, where I saw multiple people cutting in line, which made the wait even longer than it should have been. After taking my first bite, I was honestly a little disappointed. The mango itself was sweet and fresh, but the mochi wasn't what I expected. It was so soft that it was practically melting and falling apart in my hands. I was expecting something with a thicker, sturdier, and chewier texture like the mochi I've had at other places. Instead, it got messy very quickly and didn't have that satisfying chew. I also ordered the matcha mango scone. It wasn't bad, and at least it wasn't dry, but the matcha leaned more on the bitter side. It also had mochi inside, and surprisingly, the mochi in the scone was actually better than the mochi in the mango mochi. Even after I left, there was still a long line behind me, just like when I arrived, so it's definitely a popular spot. The café itself is very spacious with plenty of seating, making it a nice place to relax or get some work done. The person who took my order was very friendly and provided great service. For those planning to come for the next two drops, I'd recommend arriving before opening. I got there at 8:00 a.m., but it looked like people had already started lining up around 7:30 a.m. Overall, I really wanted to love the mango mochi after waiting so long, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. Soo glad I gave this cute cafe a second try! Service was very friendly and welcoming Their pastries are a little pricey (expect to pay $5-6+) but they're so freshly made and there are so many unique flavors! Got the Oreo Ube Mochi Scone ($6) and it was so delicious! The mochi was so soft and chewy and it was so freshly made. Didn't really taste much of the Ube but I really enjoyed how yummy the mochi and scone was! This was 8/10 The Hazel Midnight Brownie was so amazing! It reminded me of a lava cake! It was so soft and fresh! It wasn't overly sweet and so incredible! It literally melted in my mouth! This was 9/10 The Strawberry Field ($6.50) was basically an espresso with strawberry puree. It was very yummy and the coffee wasn't too bitter. The strawberry puree wasn't too sweet and the drink was great without any sugar adjustments! Visited on a weekend morning and it was pretty busy but we didn't wait too long to order and receive our drinks. I ordered the Apple Matcha Tonic and it was pretty good! It was light and refreshing and perfectly bubbly. The only thing is, I wish the apple flavor was more prominent in the drink. I love matcha tonics and this one is definitely one of my favorites. The store itself was also really cute and it seemed like a nice place to catch up with friends or work. I also really appreciated how there is a lot of parking available. read more

The drink wasn't to my liking, it was just interesting but I guess I need something more basic. Overall I'll still come here and try a different drink. Such a cute, clean and bright place! Really just the friendliest and most welcoming staff working here, and so gratefully indoor dog friendly! Met up with a friend visiting from out of state with her cutest dog, Teddy, here to catch up, and had such a great time. Admittedly, we were both a tad bummed that they only had corn cookies left for the day, but that corn cookie was delicious! Crunchy, buttery and not too sweet. The super nice staff did let us know that the yummy baked goods tend to sell out by 1 pm, so that's great to know to future visits! For drinks, I ordered the Gone Nuts sub oat milk and my friend ordered the Strawberry Cream Hojicha. Both were great and appreciatively not too sweet. I really enjoyed my coffee, especially with the black sesame and peanut cream topping. My friend also really liked her tea, which was light and refreshing! Parking was readily available across the street, and there's also a parking structure right next to it as well. Overall, it was the relaxing afternoon over drinks that we hoped for and achieved!
