They have unique Asian-inspired flavors like black sesame, ube, pandan, osmanthus, persimmon; flavors you don't often find at other coffee places. We tried the OG Messy Cookie, the Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone, the Ube Oreo Messy Cookie, and a few other baked goods. The ube was rich and slightly nutty with a natural sweetness that wasn't overpowering. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and well-balanced. We also ordered a few drinks: the seasonal Pandan Matcha latte, the Re:Bakesic Tonic, and the Osmanthus Honey Latte. Each one was unique and well-crafted. My favorite was the Osmanthus Honey Latte. It had a nice floral smell, a smooth coffee taste, and wasn't too sweet. It felt light and comforting, not overly sugary. I love this location! The parking lot is super spacious and it's in a really convenient spot in the city. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and I love the abundance of seating when you walk in. The inside is really cute and has a cozy, cutesy vibe. I've tried the strawberry matcha latte with and without the strawberry cream top--both are great, but the one without the cream is my favorite. It has the perfect amount of sweetness for my taste. My boyfriend loves the Lychee Oolong Nojito. It's refreshing, minty, and just a solid drink overall. We've also tried the Vietnamese cookie and the Black Sesame Banana Bread, and all pastries are amazing--seriously 10/10 and really unique. My go-to coffee shop in Alhambra! We came by on a Wednesday morning around 8:30am, and luckily only one other customer was there, though this place is usually very busy on the weekends. The cafe is very clean and modern, & the servers are always so kind and helpful in explaining the menu and what to get based on your preferences. This time I ordered the On Cloud Nine signature iced coffee with oat milk (a vanilla espresso latte with housemate cream/cocoa powdered to top), so smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. If you're not sure where to start on the menu, this one's a safe bet! My boyfriend got his usual, the hot Earl Grey latte, which is his favorite and never disappoints. Strawberry Field & Gone Nuts are pretty sweet for me. Hubby tried their Brown Sugar Lover, which was good...but I think he enjoys just their regular Iced Latte more. My favorite of their Signature lattes was On Cloud Nine. I usually substitute with Almond Milk. I do wish they had 2%, and their drinks do add up since milk substitutions cost extra. Hubby also likes their Kinako Matcha. Their pastries & baked goods are quite good as well. I've tried a few and they are mostly all "not too sweet." my friend and i came here after seeing this on instagram and it did not disappoint! The pastry chefs come in the morning to bake up a storm and most items sell out by noon, depending on the day. The concept is pretty much the same as Modu, where it's a coffeeshop known more for their quality baked goods than the actual coffee. All of their pastries are Asian inspired and one-of-a-kind, and I'm pretty sure I've tried them all by now. Here are my thoughts: 1. The Grey & Grain cookie - black sesame and earl grey cookie with sea salt. Not bad. 2. Matcha Blueberry muffin - my favorite! I've never had this combination in a muffin before. 3. Oolong Mochi scone - made with osthmanthus honey, oolong tea, and mochi. This one was also pretty good. 4. Hojicha Pistachio scone - A roasted green tea scone with pistachio cream and shredded pistachio (think knafeh). This scone showcases both Japanese and Middle Eastern influences in one delicious pastry. 5. Ube s'more cookie - soft and chewy; not bad. Four pastries and a specialty latte came out to about $35, about the price you'd expect these days. The shop is spacious and a decent spot to bunker down and work, especially since you can enjoy unique pastries at the same time. They didn't fill my cup even with the cream on top pshhh I am not a fan of the Gone Nuts drink. It had bits of peanuts in it. My nephew went and got me this one. It felt like such a waste of money because the cream top did not have any sugar in it...it was pure whipped cream with no sweetness... Why am I paying extra for a cream with no flavor and does not make a difference to my drink at all? The worker said the matcha comes a little sweetened, but I ended up having to add a hefty load of agave on my own (luckily they provide a bottle of it in the self-service station). A new cafe! It's very trendy inside, with lots of cute millennial pink accents. It's located across the street from the sprouts plaza in the newly constructed buildings. The strawberry latte (I can't remember the exact name!) was delicious! I typically find iced coffees to be bitter, but this one was very smooth. The strawberry jam was sweet and tangy. Staff were great, and had our drinks out promptly despite the crowded dining area. I do have two major concerns about this location. Number one is the parking situation and lack of crosswalks. To get to ReBakesic, you either need to jaywalk across a decently busy road or walk up the entire block to the crosswalk if you park at the free lot in the sprouts plaza. With the addition of these new apartments and businesses, I hope the city adds a new crosswalk based on people's path of travel. My second concern is the price. The drinks did not have sizes listed or size options. The Sri k I got felt very small, and a lot of the space was taken up by ice. With no modifications, I spent around $6.50. Speaking to the person helping us at the counter, it seems to be a regular occurrence that they are all too familiar with, indicating that there is clearly an inventory problem. I get that everything is made from scratch, but a bank has money as a bank should, the grocery store should have groceries as one would expect, and a bakery should have pastries. We got two drinks, both were delicious. Nothing spectacular that blows my mind to rave home about, but it was delicious. As I had it on the spot, they offered to warm it up, which made me scored just extra point for them. I decided not to go for any drink as I had another place I'd been eyeing to try nearby which would be my second stop for the day. The scone came with that slight crunch outside and moist cakey texture inside. The hojicha flavor was kinda subtle and I could taste it more when I had the scone without the pistachio topping. Despite I loved the pistachio cream with knafeh pastry on top, for my palate hojicha and pistachio cream seemed to be good on its own but not really blended well together. Overall taste wise I would say it's okay-ish, but I might pay another visit because of the vibe or prolly to try their Kinako Matcha. read more

I love coming here when I need a pick-me-up or sweet treat. The matcha is good quality and strong! The workers are all very welcoming and the drinks come out quick. They have outlets against the wall and lots of seating if you plan to stay longer. The only note is that it gets loud at times and people's voices project throughout the room- so bring your noise cancelling headphones if you want silence. A wonderful new coffee shop that just opened near the Edwards movie theater in Alhambra. The shop itself is very simple and clean, with bright colors that make the environment feel welcoming. The staff were all very cheery and happy to give recommendations on their many different drinks and pastries. I ordered the Gone Nuts signature latte, the black sesame banana bread, and the OG Messy Cookie. The Gone Nuts latte looked beautiful with its half black sesame cream and half peanut cream on top. The drink was deliciously nutty with neither flavor being too overpowering or sweet. Definitely one of the more unique coffees I've ever tried, but very well done. The black sesame banana bread was also delicious having a solid banana flavor with a nice black sesame flavor spread throughout. The unevenly spread sesame flavor made the bread taste much better since it was a different flavor with each bite! Finally, the OG messy cookie tasted like a nice classic chocolate chip cookies with a subtle nut flavor. It was a little dense, but not overly sweet. Overall, this new coffee shop is definitely a must try if you're in the area. They have much more other unique coffees and pastries that I'm looking forward to returning to try! read more

Re Bakesic is a newly opened Asian-inspired cafe and bake shop located in Alhambra. To get here, there is street parking all around the area or some nearby plazas with parking spots. Inside, they have a spacious and colorful setup with about 6-7 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different classic, signature, seasonal, matcha, hojicha, and tea drinks to choose from along with their freshly made pastries. Wifey and I came through with our friend and we got the Kinako Matcha, Blueberry Matcha, and Apple Matcha Tonic for our drinks and a Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie and Black Sesame Banana Bread for our pastries. Overall, everything that we had was amazing! All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend grabbing a drink and a pastry here. We will be back forsure next time we are in the area! read more
