Sweethoney is a go-to for mango lovers -- literally every mango dessert hits. Refreshing, not too sweet, and super photogenic. Love that they also have a BOGO drink special (major win). Great spot to chill after dinner or catch up with friends over something light and satisfying. Always leave happy!

Amazing food! Fresh and delicious fruit, amazing ice cream flavors! The vanilla frost was like a milk bing-su. The rice balls were incredible too!!

Tried their strawberry soufflé pancakes a while back and enjoyed it so much, they're so fluffy! This time I was craving durian so I ordered the durian with glutinous rice and ice with vanilla. It was nice and I enjoyed the flavors and textures, the smooth durian, chewy rice, and cold refreshing shaved ice. Staff seemed tired it was around 8 pm on a Saturday so that's understandable. Will pop in whenever I'm in the area!

Cute spot to take a break with friends and catch up over desserts and boba teas. Love the mango with sago and vanilla ice cream! Service was fast. We didn't have to wait too long. Menu is extensive. Everything on the menu looked so good. Come check it out!

Stumbled across this place while searching for mango desserts. This place offers a plethora of mango desserts. Enjoyed the Mango Sago jelly with green tea ice cream. The service was delightful.

RIP to the one that used to be in Hacienda Heights. The Alhambra location is the final Sweethoney Dessert standing bastion in the 626. If you're looking to get dessert, but not entirely sure where to go or even just a place to get some drinks or snacks, this is the place to go! They have 2 different back to back menus and a souffle pancake menus, so there's lots to order here! Their savory snacks include different shumai, fries, popcorn chicken, onion rings, etc. Different flavors and a multitude of variations of their souffle pancakes, HK egg waffles, fruit platters, shaved ice with fruit, hot and cold dessert soups, grass jelly dishes, peach gum dishes, almond jelly, and also drinks too. Complimentary ice water too, to balance out the sweetness of their desserts. We got the Sesame and Almond Soup with Sesame rice balls. Comes with 3 delicious chewy sesame rice balls and the slight saltiness of the sesame inside is a yummy contrast to the not so sweet soup round. Not too thick and not too watery for the soup, good stuff all around.

Ordered the vanilla frost with fruits and matcha ice cream. In all honesty, it was way too sweet for me, but that could just be me. Giving it 3 stars since I wasn't able to finish the dessert due to its overpowering sweetness from the vanilla frost. Service, dessert presentation, and cleanliness were solid though!

Their Japanese pancakes are absolutely to die for! The size is perfect about four inches, just like a fluffy little cake. The texture is incredibly light, with a delicate, almost cloud-like egg white that isn't overly sweet. I fell in love with it as soon as I took my first bite! Alongside, their fruit and egg waffles are also delicious, though please note they only start serving them from 2pm, so it's a good idea to confirm their hours before you go. The menu is filled with all sorts of Hong Kong-style delights snacks galore! I can't wait to go back.

Worst dessert I've ever had in my life. I'm Cantonese and the mango dessert is the most basic and popular dessert. This store does not know how to make the basics. My friend got the M5 仙草杨枝甘露and another got the little egg waffles鸡蛋仔。 The mango dessert base is very very bland, no mango flavor. The mangos themselves are the wrong type of mangoes, the cheaper ones. Not only that, they are very very unripe, very very raw. Mangoes were almost crunchy in texture when it's supposed to be smooth and sweet. The egg waffles 鸡蛋仔 is an absolute disaster. It's not crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They have successfully destroyed Cantonese classics. I told my Cantonese friends where I went and they all laughed. Apparently everyone knows this place is the worst except me. I usually don't even leave reviews but I had to for this one. 两个字,难吃。三个字,很难吃。

They have "Asian service" where they don't prioritize customer service vs other businesses that do, so if that's an issue, then there are other places to choose from. Service here is a lot nicer than a few other Asian eateries Me and my bf came here twice for dessert. There's always seating so they let you sit wherever you want. We've only had the durian grass jelly with vanilla frost and the M10 (the mango dessert with rice balls and vanilla ice cream). We liked the durian one more since it was creamier. The mango one is good, but the tartness of the purée was overpowering, so the vanilla ice cream balanced out the tartness. The rice balls were pretty bland but had a nice chew. Mangos were ripe and delish. The menu is huge so they have egg waffles and boba drinks if you want something else. They even have a healthy dessert selection if your yeet hay levels are too high. Would return to order other desserts.

Looking for an alternative over Meet Fresh? Sweet honey is a good alternative to try! Been here two times so far, and ordered their Durian with ice frost and grassy jelly and mango with ice cream and mochi. Personally, I preferred the durian with ice frost and grass jelly. The durian pulp was fresh and creamy, and I really liked the texture and flavor of the ice frost. The mango with ice cream and mochi was good as well, but it be a little too tart for me. If you love tart though, the mango would be perfect for you. Service was pretty standard. The dessert plates came out like within 10 mins of ordering. You pay at the register after you finish. There's garage parking in the plaza where Sweethoney is located.

I've been to Sweethoney Dessert maybe 2x now. The most recent time I ordered from Postmates and got the following on 6/9/2023 (prices via Postmates app 6/2023): + Papaya Milk Iced 木瓜鮮奶 $7.19 Sweet Level - Less Sweet Pretty good, but they give you a pretty small cup. You have to drink papaya milk pretty soon after it's mixed since the papaya and milk start separating. + Strawberry Mango Peach Gum 草莓芒果桃膠 $7.79 Sweet Level - Less Sweet This one was pretty refreshing. The sweetness was just right when you ask for less sweet. I'm not sure if I personally like peach gum in my drinks since the texture is a little bit more soft. However, I quite enjoyed the strawberry + mango flavors. + Mango Pomelo Sago Tofu Pudding 楊枝甘露豆腐花 $10.95 Pretty yummy. A little overpriced. Overall, my items were decent but just a little pricey. I'm not sure if I would come back.

Walked over here after having dinner across the street. Was a bit confused walking in because I was not sure where to order (kiosk? counter?); but kiosk is for to-go orders and if you are dining in, just seat yourself somewhere and the server will come to you with menus. Desserts were decent but not sure I would come here unless for convenience or other dessert places are crowded. We ordered the hk egg waffles which was good imo (but my hk bf says otherwise, he said it needed more "egg" flavor). We also got M4 (mango pomelo sago grass jelly) to share which honestly was meh. I looove sago desserts so it did satisfy my cravings but I wouldn't come here for it in the future. Inside is quite spacious and pretty empty when we came here on a Thurs night.

I think it depends on what you order. The tofu pudding is for example but not the souffle. They don't advertise as vegan, but there are vegan friendly items

Does the place have a strong durian smell inside?

Not strong but it's definitely noticeable when you walk inside. But you'll get used to it after a few minutes.

Yes. Lots of people to go or delivery

Is there a certain time I am able to order the souffle pancakes?

Not even 30 minutes later the whole place was packed. I ordered the Benedict Pancakes ($22) and the seasonal Biscuit souffle pancakes ($18). I also tried the Tonkatsu Curry ($16). For a drink I got the pot of Peach Momo Tea ($6). My benedict pancakes came out first. The souffle pancakes and the tonkatsu curry came out at the same time 30 minutes later. The benedicts weren't bad, but I probably wouldn't get them again. The yolk was solid and not runny and the pancakes were just normal flat pancakes, and they were kind of dry. The tonkotsu and the Japanese pancakes were way better. Both were very flavorful and nice and hot. For the tea pots you also get refills, so we got a lot to drink with that. For a two-person table, it was definitely too small to hold everything that we ordered. Luckily by the time the curry and the pancakes came out I was already finished with my benedict pancakes and was able to give it to them to clear out to make room for the other dishes. Service was good, the wait for the food was long but they were still attentive enough to get us what we needed. Once you get your food they try to get you out as quickly as possible since the longer it went the longer the wait outside was for a table. Overall it was a nice breakfast/brunch experience. It is a bit pricey, but some dishes are better than others. I would come back either for the Japanese pancakes or the curry. The tea was great too. I would probably skip the eggs benedict next time though.

Hubby ordered the Classic Benedict & of course I ordered the star of the show- Ube French Toast (Ube condensed milk & coconut flakes on the side). Additionally, I ordered a side of grilled chicken. Alexis, the order taker brought our dishes separately & Hubby cannot wait so he dug right in before mine arrived. I know it's not intentional, but I noticed that bigger table (6 patrons) had arrived after we did and they received their food very shortly and all at the same time. Not digging that. In any case, my food finally came & the anticipation was tingly. It's the best part, the toasts were crispy crunchy on the outside & moist on the inside-- so good! Well balanced sweetness, I had control over how much ube condensed milk was poured- that's a plus. Hubby didn't like the muffin of his eggs Benedict because he said it was "tough & stale" but the potatoes & eggs were good. We finished off the French toast in a heartbeat. Background music was too loud for our taste (and ears) to enjoy brunch, the aesthetics were on point. Parking is very tricky, so glad we found one a block away (free city parking structure). However I personally think souffle is a glorified version of pancake. It's slightly thicker and more fluffy and if you like pancakes there is no reason why you wouldn't like this (other than the price?). The location is in a strip mall next to the bigger 99 Ranch plaza and parking can be difficult to find especially top side but there is a underground parking lot next door. It can still get busy so you may have to park in that plaza and walk over on busy weekends. Just note this place is busy even in the weekday evenings. There are very few tables so if you are coming as a date/family, you may not find a table. The tables are also small so I wouldn't recommend a large group of more than 4. You order via a kiosk and for drinks they will call your order number. For souffle if you dine in, you can take a number stand and place on your table just like some McDonald's. Souffle is not bad and not too sweet especially with the original flavor.

Souffle pancakes in different occasions always look so pretty, are the best everyone's ever had, some some flavor profiles don't work. Maybe that's why the menu sometimes changes. For example the yuzu grape was completely bland because the yuzu drizzle on top was a thin line i couldn't taste at all. At least put a spread between each layer or pour a lot on top like the others (eg berry or mango). The mint leaves was the most potent flavor in this dish. Over the grapes, blueberries, matcha powder, yuzu. Got the mango triple layer drink this time and if you drink it carefully, you can appreciate the contrast from the mango puree, the milk, the creamy salted matcha. If you just mix it up completely you won't get that affect. One thing that bothers me is because the menu changes I seem to always be unable to get something I'm thinking of from the previous visit. I recall last time I had some mochi and rice ball I added to a drink that was so damn good and I couldn't add it this time. Though I recall that drink being $11.50 from the add ons. The souffle pancake was $21... so place is $$ but again the quality is there. Service wise, never interacted with staff really. Kiosk to order. Drinks just sit at counter when done. Didn't call numbers. Oh they did bring the pancake, no words spoken.

But this one deserves a bit more detail for the 3 stars. We came here at my husband's cravings for eggs Benedict for his birthday brunch. It was a Saturday around 1PM. There were crowds, but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. I will say they seemed well staffed, which made service feel prompt and welcomed. Everyone in the team appeared friendly. The person who made our lattes also made an effort to clarify our order (lattes with Oatmilk with cream foam - which u know can be confusing. I'm giving up whole milk for the fats and lactose, but a little bit of cream won't hurt). We chose Mari Vees over other nearby spots mainly because of the style and ambiance, which truly delivered... beautiful, modern, and inviting on Yelp. We ordered the iced Spanish latte, iced matcha latte, classic eggs Benedict, and chilaquiles with beef. As soon as the plates landed on our table, before we even had a chance to taste anything, a well-dressed gentleman (who seemed more senior than the rest of the staff) came over and asked how everything was. We felt compelled to give the automatic "everything is good." To be fair, the flavors did hit the spot. The lattes were yummy (and shoutout to the cute aesthetics), the chilaquiles were perfectly savory, and the sauce on the eggs Benedict was rich and creamy. However, the reason this lands at 3 stars is the eggs Benedict itself. The poached eggs were overcooked. Poached eggs should be runny and creamy, not firm. We brought this up to our server, Jeremiah, but he responded that it was "poached hard." I was confused... was that intentional? I checked the menu again (good thing I take pictures), and it simply says "poached eggs." Later, when we were paying, the same gentleman returned, who I inquired and learned goes by the name, Victor. This time, he didn't ask about our experience, but I knew I had to say something. I shared praise along with a lighthearted and humorous question about the overcooked eggs. He admitted they should be runny and said "we should have told them"... BUT WE DID! I debated addressing it in person versus sharing here on Yelp. Unfortunately, it felt like the team wasn't equipped to properly handle feedback. Instead of acknowledging the issue, we felt dismissed and gaslighted. I still gave a 18% tip (our total was $60+) , slight lower than our usual 20%... but I know everyone works hard in there. Overall, it had the potential to be a great experience, but the mishap left a sour note and pretty much ruined our afternoon. Not sure we'll be back.

A bit of a wait on a Sunday afternoon but we walked to the farmers market down the street to kill some time. Yummy food just a bit in the pricier end

Steelhead tartar - Just ok, a tartar paste on a big thin cracker. Difficult to share. Pork Jowl - Did not like the sauce. The meat was kinda like a chasiu but just not very good. Easy to share. Chicken wings - This is the only thing that was well portioned as they give you 5 whole wings, but they are plain. The wings from Baccali are so much better. Grilled fish collar - Not bad but the mint didn't really go that well with it. Dan dan campanelle - Disappointing. Not good dandan flavor and it's a small bowl. Hainan Fish - WAY overpriced and it's just whatever. Why ruin something so simple and good? Duck drumstick on taro - WAY overpriced. One drumstick on a bed of taro mash with taro fries. It's cool the food is locally sourced and blah blah blah but it's hard to appreciate when it is not good. The price is 3x more than a real Chinese restaurant where you can get more skillfully cooked food, so value-wise it's quite poor and the reason for my low rating. Less then 10 minutes away you have access to some of the greatest Chinese food in America so why would you come here? Also the small restaurant is insanely loud and made for a poor atmosphere. Service was good.
