Sanitation issues the worker was caught, blowing his nose, took my order and was about to make his drink without washing hands. He was clinically ill, and I had to ask him to wash his hands. I almost wanted a refund, but that in itself was just horrendous.

ordered white jasmine tea, i wanted to order with guy but he said, you do kiosk machine yourself. I put less ice and 75% sugar. sugar worked for me but he still put like 15 ice chips even though it was a California cold afternoon .

Ambiance: Cozy hole in the wall bakery bustling with a lot of variety of breads (they even sell cake shavings and bread crust which is pretty cool) Service: I called in advance to reserve an 8 inch cake. The lady only spoke mandarin but was patient with me as I spoke to the best of my ability. I was asked if I wanted to add fruit (no extra charge) and was told the total price. They linked the order with my phone number. The cake was ready at the time I had said I will arrive (call was made a couple of days in advance). Food: Unlike many Asian bakeries, I was pleasantly surprised that this tiramisu leaned more to the traditional tiramisu using marscapone instead of just whipped cream and lady fingers instead of just sponge cake. There was a single ring of soaked lady finger and it was covered with a generous amount of whipped marscapone and heavy cream. I was thoroughly impressed. Overall, great 8 inch tiramisu for $40

Got a milk pudding, coconut bun, hot dog bun, vanilla cake, and strawberry ice cream. All were made fresh and delicious. Service is great. Place is nice with a boba shop inside. Parking is shared with a lot of places like ABC Cafe, etc. Great for breakfast and snacks.

Tried this bakery for the first time and ordered a birthday cake; we all absolutely loved it. We chose the strawberry flavor and it was moist, light, perfectly eggy, and truly delicious. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into their cakes. This Taiwanese bakery has definitely earned a spot as my go-to for future birthday celebrations.

My picky mother loved the taro custard cream cake. It wasn't artificially over-sweetened. Nice sweet mild levels. Soft cake. Nice sweet fruit on top. I also like their blueberry cheese tart.

MOMO BAKERY is part of a large center with multiple good eateries. The center has a large free parking lot with plenty of available spots. The set up is like a regular Asian bakery - grab a tray and use the tongs to pick your pastry from the display case, walk up to the cashier and pay for your stuff. They have some not-so-common baked goods like moon cakes in a wide variety of flavors. They also have macaron ice cream sandwiches and SESAME ICE CREAM.

I was visiting a friend of mine and he suggested that we check out this Taiwanese-style Bakery. They sell a variety of baked items, pastries, and cakes. They do carry most of the popular Taiwanese pastries as well as the not-so-common ones. I did love the Taro Buns and Pineapple and Red Beans buns. The service staff are friendly. Clean atmosphere. You can get tea, coffee and smoothies inside as well. Parking is not a problem, but it's shared with other businesses in the outdoor strip mall.

08/30/2023 Just finished getting some nice bread and buns. They have an offer if you buy 8 items you get one for free. That's a sneaky way of making you buy more than you need. I got 6 items so I'm not falling for that. The items are all freshly made soft yummy and delicious definitely try them out. My favorite is the dried pork bun with mayonnaise in the center. They have other items like loaves of different breads, cookies, slices of cake and whole cakes. There's lots of parking in the lot behind this bakery. But be warned this is Monterey Park so not the most skillful drivers here. Almost got T-Boned by this A$$hat that darted out of a parking space.

This is one of the few places where I can good cakes for special occasions. A good size cake is now $40! They also sell ice cream, bread, frozen dumplings, and other things. The coconut drink is one of my favorites. It's a small store, but there are a few seating available in the front and back.

randomly found this gem when i was visiting the plaza. it's located in the same plaza as where abc cafe is. big parking lot in the back i love the variety of bread options here. i'm always for savory, "ham and cheese" type of bread and they have many more of those here than at other bakeries. not only do they have a selection but their bread is also tasty! plus when you pick up a bread, i could feel the weight of the bread - could definitely tell they're not cheap with ingredients haha

Solid 3.5 Discovered this Bakery while out to lunch in Monterey Park. It's a cute spot, if you are more familiar with 85c Café its quite the same. Except, the prices are a bit high no one was in the store except myself which makes me question; how fresh the breads are. The ice cream looked definitely old; peep the pic. They have a cute coffee/tea house in the back. Also, they sell frozen dumplings etc.

Coconut cream bun - looks like a lot of cream but it's actually just a thin outer layer and none in the middle
    Samantha W.

Was walking by and decided to stop in. The shop itself is cute. Has a good variety of items, there's a lot to choose from. Staff was kind as well. The only thing is - the bun wasn't good... :/ my husband got a coconut cream bun. He was so excited because it looked like a thick layer of cream in the middle. The bread part itself could've been softer...it was kind of dry as well. And we felt almost scammed by the look of the cream lol. As you can see in the photo the bun looks super tall and before you bite into it - the sides are covered in cream...but that's just it...there was only a super thin deceiving layer of cream on the sides and none in the middle. As it turns out it's just one long bun folded in half with a thin layer of cream spread on the outer edges... super disappointing.

Chinese bakery with all the usual suspects such as pineapple buns. Nothing stand out and would opt for 85 degrees in this category.

The cheapest and simplest one is the Portuguese egg tart and the more fancy ones are either $1.75 or $2. I tried all of them: Portuguese egg tart, cheese tart, caramel croissant tart, tiramisu tart, berry tart, and coconut tart (my favorite). We also got the salted egg yolk croissant for only $1 which is a steal although I wish it was a tad bit sweeter to balance out the salt. It was a smooth process to go in and buy. They also have a variety of specialty desserts that are in the $8 price range if you want something more extravagant. I tried the King Panda which was filled with cream cheese mousse. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but more of the latter. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty packed but we managed to snag a seat.

This particular location though, could use some work with consistency. The selection and quality of pastries and drinks seem to vary throughout my many visits. My top pastries are all of their croissant-like pastries, especially the Pastry Frank (filled with a savory sausage inside) and Mini Strawberry Lemon Cream Croissant (filled with a smooth and tangy lemon cream and fresh strawberries that add a tartness). Both of these have flaky, buttery exterior shells that are wonderful to bite into. For cakes, I love the strawberry soft cream cake. This cake is simple, light, and not too sweet. The thin layers of vanilla, soft cream, and strawberries blend excellently together. I appreciate that they provide free candles with whole cakes.
