Took my daughter here and she wanted to get tiramisu cake and, this is the only place is good. They also have different varieties of cake and other dessert. You would come in and get a tray and just get what you want. Service is ok just like another 85 degree. Ambience here the have a couple of chairs and table you can sit and hang out., not recommend for a group 4 or more, they don't have a table and chairs for a large group.

Love the bread here. Friendly service always. Just hate that they run out of pastries so early in the day and they close like at 9pm.

Fresh Strawberry Milk Tea missing lychee jelly :(
Danya G.

Unfortunately it wasn't until I was in my car and on my way out that I noticed my drink did not have the lychee jelly I ordered and paid an extra $0.50 for. I was checking it at the counter and thought perhaps the jelly is hiding and I'll taste it once I poke, but there was nothing. Additionally, the drink (strawberry milk tea) was okay. I appreciated how it wasn't too sweet, and there are pieces of real strawberries. It's also been a while since I've been to 85 so I was surprised to see everything already individually wrapped and no more "fresh bread!" announcements. They also seemed to stop serving the chocolate bun (brown bread with powdered sugar) which is unfortunate because it was my fave. I decided to try the Hokkaido Custard Bun because there were three trays of it, and I like it! Also got some white chocolate chip macadamia cookies! Staff was nice too.

Jasmine tea

My Jasmine tea is more like a salton sea drink, does not taste like tea at all and I will blame it on the barista today! Very unpleasent drink

I love coming to 85°C Bakery Café in Alhambra everything I've tried has been delicious! The variety of pastries is amazing, but my absolute favorite is the coconut bread soft, fluffy, and so tasty. I also really enjoy the barron (I think that's the name) and always look forward to trying something new each time. For a friend's birthday, I ordered the ube cake, and wow it was perfect! Light, moist, and flavorful without being overly sweet. Everyone at the party loved it. The customer service is always nice, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus, the place is spotless, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a go-to spot for fresh pastries, cakes, and treats I can't wait to come back!

Sea Salt Matcha Latte ICED LARGE

I love 85° coffee! The sea salt drinks are such a unique flavor and i recently tried the matcha with sea salt- highly recommend! They've got great food options. We took a pumpkin bread for a Thanksgiving treat. If you see the jalapeño cheese bread with cream cheese inside, get one! We snagged it for a snack and I instantly wished I had more. So yummy!

Creme Brulee is frozen rock solid.

DO NOT GET THE MANGO CREME BRULEE CAKE ‼‼‼ It tasted like SOAP I purchased a Mango Creme Brulee cake for a family member's birthday. Come to find out when I cut the cake, its frozen!!!! I mean seriously, for a $36 cake this is unacceptable. The creme brulee was so frozen it broke the cake slicer! As we are eating the cake, the top layer tasted like SOAP! I'm not sure whether cross contamination occurred when they were making this cake but it was UNPLEASANT to ENJOY. This is a serious health hazard I will not be ordering from this establishment anytime soon until management takes this seriously!

This was probably my third time actually spending more than a couple of minutes at this location and wow, it was busy. The place was packed: tables full, line out the door. But what really stood out was how the manager handled it all. I'm pretty sure she was the one who helped me, super friendly, genuinely apologetic about the wait. That level of customer care in the middle of chaos? Seriously impressive. And shoutout to the rest of the staff too, they stayed focused and knocked out all the drink orders like pros. I got the BOGO Sea Salt Coffee, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to be back.

Almond half moon - barely any cream
Toni L.

The bakery is conveniently located along 3rd and Main street. You can find parking in the lot or park by the nearby streets. The chain has been around for a while but the quality of the baked goods varies per location. I stop by early Saturday morning to buy milk bread since most of the goods are usually sold out by 2PM. Walk in the store at 4PM on weekday and the shelves are half empty. I love the half moon almond but they skimp on the cream. There's barely any cream holding the chiffon cake together. It's like they put just enough for the almonds to adhere onto the cake. The egg tarts are a hit or a miss - some days, the crust is soggy and crumbly while other days it's just right. The milk bread isn't as good as it used to be. I remember it being pillowy soft. The drinks are nothing special. There are multiple boba tea places along Main Street to choose from. The staff are courteous but they don't have enough cashiers. I once waited 15 minutes in line on a morning weekend when they had one cashier, two making tea, I saw some in the kitchen and another walking around behind the counter trying her best to look busy. They need to get organized.

4/23/25 Grabbing some treats for the crew
Jennifer W.

4/23/25 Stopped by to get some treats for the crew & a shout out to Rosie ((who "sent" me here, IYKYK), killing 5 birds with one stone! As most of the 85° Bakery location, this branch has many pastries to select from, both savory and sweet. There are additionally some refrigerated cakes and slices of treats at the front counter. They also sell drinks like hot lattes and iced coffees. The shop is a bit small, but it does have a few tables where you can enjoy your beverage and or your treats. The staff are cordial and efficient. This location is located in the building full of condominiums. Parking is plentiful, but it does share with many businesses so it could be limited during peak hours. Nice pit stop & I got 5 things done all at once- awesome!

Cozy vibes, great coffee, and friendly faces. The perfect little spot to start your day or unwind for a bit. Definitely coming back!

Ridiculous I ordered the cake the night before my friends birthday came to find out on delivery date my order was cancelled without any explanation or notification to me. Totally ruined the birthday party and we have to run around town to another cake .. this bakery is out of our list forever

Date of visit: March 4, 2025 Selections: 2x Spinach Kale Danish 2x Garlic Cheese 1x Cocoa Dipped Danish 1x Coffee Milk Butter 1x Slice of Tiramisu Cheesecake 1x Slice of Coffee Creme Brûlée Experience: Finally made a visit to this location since our usual go to location was in old town Pasadena, but it closed down a bit ago. I stopped by during the afternoon to grab some pastries for my husband and I and was hoping to get some that had mushrooms on it, but didn't see any. Not sure if they were sold out or no longer sold by them, but opted to grab some other pastries that caught my eye or what I thought my husband would enjoy. I noticed they had run out of some pastries that I wanted to try out and realized they sold sandwiches now, but were also sold out of the options I wanted. Didn't have to wait too long for check out since it was just two people ahead of me and decided to get some slice of cake for my husband from the display case. Will be coming back to hopefully try their sandwich options and to see what other new pastries they come up with.

Stopped by for a quick drink, the Thai tea was pretty good, and appreciated that it's a little less expensive than drinks at other places.

85°C Bakery Cafe-Alhambra Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - 85°C Bakery Cafe-Alhambra

Do you have vegan options for bakery?

Hello, no we do not have any vegan options at the moment. Sorry about that!

Do you guys cater for weddings? If so, how would it work with you guys?

Hi, we recommend reaching out to the store directly to see if they can accommodate this request for you.

Is the current indoor seating open?

Yes. Seen people sat there with drinks and chilling.

You called me this morning to call you back...your phone number isn't working. Is there another way to contact you?

Hi Cindy, is this for the store or for 85ºC Customer service? If it's a customer service call you can reach out at customerservice@85cbakerycafe.com

What is the phone number to the store? no one answers the number listed

This is the phone number for the Alhambra store: (626) 293-8585 . If they are not answering it is usually because they are very busy at that moment.

Do you offer decaf drinks?

Hi Angela! We appreciate you reaching out to us. We do offer decaf coffee, so stores are able to make any of our coffee drinks decaf.

Hi,do you have boba cake?

Hello, we appreciate your interest! We did have a boba lava cake that was recently discontinued, but we will be launching a new boba product soon. Be sure to check our social media page for this upcoming launch!

Is there sugar free cakes?

To begin with, the pastries at 85° are not overly sweet. As far as sugar-free, I have seen some available. Hope this helps!

Is there a limit to the Monday's 0.85 coffee per person & can we call in to order prior?

Yes, 2. Also that ended, it's now smoothie Monday: buy one get one (of the same type) free. I don't know about calling in.

Are there any vegan/dairy-free options?

All milk teas and the 85 house coffee are made with non dairy creamer! They also offer soy milk as a replacement in lattes for an extra 50 cents :-)

The…read morenew space is wide open, bright, and welcoming, with a couple of small tables inside plus some outdoor seating right on Main. I've tried a few of their mousse cakes and Portuguese tarts, and everything has been delicious. Those adorable fluffy animal cakes might look too cute to eat, but trust me, they're totally crave-worthy! As someone who loves anything chocolate or mango, I know I'll be coming back often. A fun treat to try: freeze-dried mousse cake bites. They'd make an awesome ice cream topping! Highly recommend stopping by if you have a sweet tooth.

Its a small shop on Main in Alhambra and there's a lot in the back as well as street parking. It's a brightly lit, pick up and go type place though there are a couple tables out front. The baked goods look really cute and enticing and I ended up going for a mystery box since I wasn't after a specific cake and the mystery aspect seemed appealing. I also got 6 egg tarts, which were a great price at $1 each. The baked goods/sweets looked better than they tasted flr me. The egg tarts had a texture that was a bit off putting for myself, it was more of a steamed egg texture than a silky custardy filling. Flavorwise, they were ok though. The mystery box was fun and I got an apple cake, peach cake, and a panda cake. Now the mystery box is day old cakes so keeping that in mind, they are like cream based "cakes" and are essentially cream covered gels/jellies of some sort. The flavor and textures were good, very light cream with strong fruit flavors (the panda was also a peach flavor, I think). As a set of the mystery box price, I think the cakes are fun to try but I wouldn't, personally, pay those prices for essentially shaped cream. I'm glad I tried a new spot but ultimately don't think it was super impressive and found most of their desserts and baked items to be average, or a little less so as for the egg tarts.

My friends also love their chocolate ones . Each one has a thin crust and generous filling--just be careful not to let the filling burst out when you eat them! Besides cream puffs, I never expected their other pastries to be this delicious Rose Lychee Croissant Their laminating technique is truly impressive--crispy and flaky with a sweet-tangy sauce, perfect for summer. Dubai Chocolate Although it's topped with chocolate sauce, it's not as sweet as expected--perfectly suited to Chinese tastes. The pistachio paste is deliciously fragrant! Kimchi Bacon Roll Number one in my heart! I'm a firm believer in sweet-and-savory combos! It's packed with bacon and eggs , mixed with kimchi, yet has a delightful sweetness--just one bite and my eyes lit up!! Flat & Crispy Like a little snack, crunchy and delicious--I love munching on it while watching TV. Almond Croissant In addition to the crispy almond slices on top, it's filled with a refreshing lemon sauce that's delicious and light. I've had their sesame latte before, and this time I tried their pistachio iced Americano, recommended by a friend! The first sip of the pistachio cream was incredibly rich and delicious. When I asked, I found out they make their own pistachio sauce in-house--it pairs perfectly with the iced Americano!

I tried several cream puff flavors, and I definitely recommend chilling them before eating. The shell stays crisp, and the filling tastes even better cold. My favorites were the Maple Pecan and Black Sesame Hojicha. The maple flavor was noticeable without being overly sweet, and the slightly bitter dark chocolate coating balanced it really well. The black sesame and hojicha combination was also excellent, with a strong nutty flavor followed by a subtle roasted tea finish. The Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Croissant was easily the highlight of my visit. The croissant was flaky and crisp, and the inside was packed with crunchy pistachio kataifi, chocolate, and a generous amount of pistachio cream. The pistachio flavor tasted natural and nutty rather than overly sweet or artificial, and you could actually taste small pieces of ground pistachio. I also really enjoyed the Kimchi Bacon Garlic Roll. It had a great mix of savory, slightly sweet, creamy, smoky, and tangy flavors. The Raspberry Rose Lychee Croffin was lighter and more refreshing, especially after being chilled. The raspberry, rose, and lychee flavors worked surprisingly well together without tasting too floral. Even the Almond Croissant had a nice surprise inside with lemon custard, which helped balance the richness. Their flattened croissant was also incredibly crispy and reminded me of an extra-buttery palmier. I paired everything with the pistachio coffee, which was another standout. The pistachio cream topping was thick, rich, and actually tasted like pistachio instead of just flavored syrup. There are so many creative items here, but the flavors still feel thoughtful and well balanced. I would absolutely come back for the pistachio croissant, cream puffs, and coffee.
