    Cookies and Cream cheesecake

I love Uncle Tetsu cheesecake. It's not too sweet and very fluffy. They even give you a stamp card so that after buying 10 cheesecakes, you get one free. I have tried the original, cookies and cream, and the ube. They are all delicious. Today I tried a cheese tart for the first time. It was delightfully creamy. I had the ube flavor. Yummy!! I also learned they have coffee as well. I will definitely try one next time.

I had a good experience at Uncle Tetsu (Rosemead). I ordered the Cheese Tart ($4.50 - Original) and the Brown Sugar Cold Brew ($5.25) with Salted Cheese Foam (additional 50 cents). The Cheese Tart is AMAZING! It's a crisp, double-baked crust filled with creamy, fluffy cheese mousse. (Important: This is a cashless business! Bring card and contactless payment.) I arrived at Uncle Tetsu (Rosemead) on Tuesday (around 12:58PM). Parking is easy because the lot is HUGE. I quickly found a spot. Staff is distinct & memorable because they're extremely friendly and welcoming. Staff is happier than a Disneyland greeter! It's a bit unusual, but it's refreshing and appreciated. Staff happily explained their goods, and Staff eagerly worked hard. The Cheese Tart arrived immediately since it's pre-made. And the drink took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Cheese Tart ($4.50 - Original) and the Brown Sugar Cold Brew ($5.25) with Salted Cheese Foam (additional 50 cents). The Cheese Tart is a must-try! It's a heavy, big tart too! It had a crisp, thick crust and a lovely cheese flavor. It melted apart in my mouth. It's sublime. However, the Brown Sugar Cold Brew with Salted Cheese Foam is an acquired taste. It tastes like caffeinated brown sugar milk tea that's salty. Still, this coffee is not awful; I appreciated its light & resilient caffeine. There's a soft strength in this brew. Personally, it's unlikely that I'd order this again. Regarding ambiance, Uncle Tetsu (Rosemead) is very clean and minimalistic. There's no tables and seats inside. There's a fun model of their mascot, and the interior's colors are playful. Customers should expect an order-and-leave experience. If searching for tables, there are a few shaded outdoor tables by the neighboring Panda Express. Overall, I had a good experience at Uncle Tetsu (Rosemead). The Cheese Tart ($4.50 - Original) is extremely delicious. Next time, I'm excited to try their famous Japanese Cheesecakes. If you love cheese desserts, this is a must-try! 4.7 out of 5

The night staff was great! Not exactly sure what time this location closes. I believe on Yelp at that time showed 10pm. We came like 15 minutes before closing. I usually don't like to visit a business when it's near the closing hour. However, we needed to get one for the family. The male staff was so kind. He was offering us samples. Didn't rush us or anyone else who came in after. We ordered the Pandan cheesecake and Ube matcha. I remembered when Uncle Tetsu first arrived in 2015 or 2016, it was only $8.99. We got it for $14. The price went up, but still a decent price. I m not sure why, but this location did a great job with the Pandan cheesecake. I remembered a while back, I got the Pandan at another location and thought it was somewhat gross. It was bitter so I never went back. Ever since, we only get the original. The Ube matcha wasn't the greatest. It was a bit bland. I will go back for the cheesecake =]

I have been eyeing this Uncle Tetsu in Rosemead for a while now. Just haven't had the chance to check it out until yesterday. It was the perfect time to visit. I wanted to buy some cheese tarts to give to my Mom and brothers & their families. Shop was clean and comfortable. No inside seating. No restrooms. They offer pretty much the same flavors as other Uncle Tetsu as shown below. * Seasonal Flavors (Coffee Cheesecake, Chocolate Cookies n' Creme Basque, Chocolate Cheese Tart) * Japanese Cheesecakes (Original, Cookies and Cream, Pandan Coconut, Strawberry, Ube) * Basque Cheesecakes (Burnt Basque) * Cheese Tarts (Original, Chocolate, Matcha, Ube) * Cookies (Biscotti, Ube Cookie, Matcha Cookie) Surprise, surprise... besides the light and fluffy cheesecakes, they also have a beverage station. You read right... they also sell expressos, cold brews, teas, and additions/substitutes. Cool! I'll have to try their drinks next time. Staff was super nice and friendly. They currently have a holiday special... buy 5 cheese tarts of any flavor, get 1 cheese tart for free. I bought 15 cheese tarts and got 3 free. I got a mix of all 4 flavors. It worked out perfectly! Each cheese tart costs $4.50. I spent $67.50 and saved $13.50. Cool beans! I tried 3 out of the 4 cheese tart flavors. I didn't get a chance to try the ube flavor. I'll buy it again next time. So far I like the original flavor the best! A buttery crust filled with rich and tangy cheese mousse that melts like magic just as advertised. Yum! Remember to get their stamp card. Buy 9 cakes, get 10th cake for free. Btw, for every 4 cheese tarts, it equals to one stamp as if you bought 1 cake. I got 3 stamps for my above purchase. I'm on my way to 1 free cake. Yay! I'll be back!

Disclaimer: A friend of ours got us a pandan cake to try! This review is for togo. Pandan Cake: 4.5/5. Really good! It was soft snd fluffy and had a good pandan taste that wasn't overwhelming. I would order this cake again!

I live down the street from this place. Its right next to the Panda Corporate office, which also owns Uncle Tetsu. Husband wanted something sweet so I was passing by and decided to stop. Never had Japanese cheesecake before so I had no idea what to expect. It was kinda late so I figured there would only be a few to choose from. When I walked in, it was bright and inviting. I saw small cakes in the display that could literally fit in your palm, and figured that was them. I asked for a plain and a pandan one. I was a little shocked something so small was 28.00 but when I was handed my cakes, they were full sized! Didn't expect that. But now I know! Very interesting texture. It was hard to stop once I took a slice! Was hoping this location sold Iced teas like its counterpart at the Arcadia mall. I would love if they sold boba so close to home. I'd be here literally everyday!

I visited this location for the first time on Saturday, 9/27. I'm so glad that they opened one in Rosemead since the other closest location was all the way in The Shops at Santa Anita, Arcadia. I ended up ordering the following to pick up for my mom's birthday: 1 Original Cheesecake - $13 "Signature cheesecake that made us famous. A melt-in-your-mouth combination of light sweetness, along with a fluffy and bouncy consistency, is a match made in heaven!" -- Yummy classic, Japanese-style cheesecake. I bought this because it isn't too sweet, and is Asian mom-approved! 1 Pandan Cheesecake - $13 "Subtly sweet and coconut-y. Inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asia." -- You can definitely taste the coconut flavor. It is colored a slightly fluorescent green, reminiscent of the pandan color. This cheesecake is slightly sweeter than the original, but I enjoyed it since I enjoy pandan/coconut flavors. They have some toasted coconut sprinkled on top. Customer Service: I placed an online order 10-15 minutes before I went so that the pickup could be seamless. I walked in and was quickly helped since there was no one else in the store. The girl who helped me was friendly, and the overall interaction was short but sweet. Tip: They had samples placed on the side, so I was able to try out their seasonal mango flavor, which was tasty! They also offer a stamp card, so be sure to get your stamps! Lastly, you can use the following link to place your order directly with Uncle Tetsu. I would refrain from ordering from DoorDash since the prices are higher there. https://order.uncletetsu-us.com/menu/walnut-grove-ave-rush-st-uncle-tetsu All in all, I'll be back! Enjoyed the cheesecake and visit!

We love Uncle Tetsu. They have the best most unique dessert cakes, tarts and cookies. They also serve delicious espresso drinks. The service is always friendly - thanks Bobbie! The parking lot is quite ample - never a problem. The place is always impecable and the temperature confortable. To-go only - no seating available.

I had always love Uncle Tetsu cheesecake, but always too lazy to go to the locations in Arcadia Mall or Del Amo Mall. So, I was really excited to discover a new location that isn't inside a mall--it's in the same plaza as Walmart. As usual, the service was very friendly. I tried a sample of their strawberry- cflavored cheesecake, but I didn't like it. I noticed an apple pie in the display case that looked amazing, but the staff mentioned it's more like an American-style cheesecake, which I thought might be too heavy. So, I stuck with my usual: the original Japanese cheesecake. The whole process was super quick--I was in and out in five minutes. Plus, they didn't ask for a tip when I paid!

Wow, this location is clean and spacious. They also serve coffee and teas. I hope this location stays for a while, no need to go all the way to Arcadia anymore. Staff is extremely friendly. Felicity was so helpful, patient and sweet! She offered us samples as we were indecisive, she also knew how to describe each item well. This location doesn't carry Matcha flavor of their Japanese Cheesecake. Free Biscotti when you spend $20 or more. They're pretty airy and light, not too sweet. Burnt Basque (Chocolate)- wasn't too sweet or too chocolatey. Texture is much different than the Japanese Cheesecake, it's almost like a creamy version of their Japanese Cheesecake. Definitely give it a try if you haven't. Cheese Tart (Original)- so good! Rich, creamy and lightly sweet. Crust isn't too hard but wished it was a little less dense. Japanese Cheesecake (Ube)- always great, fluffy and spongey. Ube flavor really shines through. Japanese Cheesecake (Cherry Blossom, seasonal)- floral but not too strong. They'll only have this flavor until the end of October.

The last two times I've been there, service has been really good. This young girl (cashier & barista) is very nice and friendly! DESSERT: Burnt Basque Cheesecake 5/5 (Remains my favorite. The apple flavor one is mediocre to me) Cherry Blossom Japanese Cheesecake 4.5/5 (Love the sm/personal size. Perfect for one person) Original Japanese Cheesecake 4.5/5 Coffee Japanese Cheesecake 4.5/5 Strawberry Japanese Cheesecake 4.5/5 Matcha Japanese Cheesecake 4.5/5 Small Cheese Tart 4.5/5 (I haven't tried it, but bf said is was good) DRINKS: Iced Matcha Latte w/ Strawberry Foam 4.5/5 Thought the Ice Matcha Latte is fine (good enough for a quick fix). Like it with the strawberry foam. Salted Cheese Cold Brew 4.5/5 Good to know: take out only. No seating. Located next to Panda Express.

Greeted with a smile from the associate on duty who was cleaning the glass doors as I was about to enter. She kindly opened the door for me and helped me right away. Ambiance was nice. Store was clean. Ordered the seasonal special, Cherry Blossom. It was delicious!

The hours are a bit limited, but I managed to make it in time to grab some pre-made baked goods to go. I got a bag of coconut macaroons, bag of several chocolate chip cookies, 2 red velvet cookies, a baked dog cookie biscuit, and a cute Keroppi sugar cookie. Most of these ended up being gifts, but I did enjoy one of the red velvet cookies and for an already sweet flavor profile with white chocolate chips in it, I was already fearing the worse, but went perfect with a glass of milk. The edges were nicely crisped by the baking too. Delicious. Love that they had a stock of cute, pre-decorated cookies available as well (some Sanrio characters, animals, etc.) They also list all the ingredients used in each of the baked goods that they have prepackaged, which is nice. It's also a cafe where you can order drinks, as well as a place you can order cakes custom order or what they have behind the glass already. There's both seating inside and outside.

The cake pick up process is very straightforward-- they just require you to bring the receipt that you got when you paid. They are on time with the cake pick up times, and the cakes always come out fresh and light! I've had the taro egg pudding, mango egg pudding, and I think the strawberry egg pudding one. The taro and mango egg pudding cakes were so yummy! The cakes have 3 layers and they have the fillings in between. The egg pudding isn't as fragrant as I'd hoped since you can barely taste it as the other flavors are stronger, but it gives the cake a nice moist layer. I also enjoy their breads. The size and price are still good and they accept card payments! Bakery is clean and organized. They have a small seating area if you get drinks and dessert and want to sit down. The only thing about the buns is that the fillings tend to be only on one side of the bun, so there are been times as I'm biting into the bun, I'm not getting any filling until the last couple bites. They even sell cookies and all different flavors of toast that would make some yummy brick toast desserts! And if you need a whole cake, they have them in the case ready to go too!
