I really enjoy coming to this Lee's location. The Vietnamese iced coffee is always on point--creamy, strong, and they actually give you a good amount of coffee. It's become one of my go-to drinks whenever I stop by. They also carry the ham & cheese croissant, which is so good! It comes out warm, flaky, and buttery, and the filling is just right. I usually grab a couple sesame balls too because they're always fresh and make a perfect little snack on the side. Another thing I like is that they run promotions pretty often. On my last visit, I spent a little over $20 and got some Vietnamese egg roll snacks for free, which was such a nice surprise. First time at this Lee's sandwiches and it was ok. The sandwich was 1/4 meat 1/4 veggies and 2/4 bread. The bbq pork was overly fatty, fatty sometimes is good if it melts but this was chewy and almost inedible. The coffee had good flavor and decent price for the size. Not apposed to coming back l, maybe I ordered the wrong thing ? But it was recommended by the worker. So ‍. Staff was nice but most of the tables in the place were dirty and hadn't been cleaned off. Wasn't bad. I went on a Sunday at 6:30am. Parking was easy and that's a big plus for me! There is no inside seating so everything is to go. The service was fine and the atmosphere was pretty cool! I loved the Christmas decorations up in early November! Also, there were just a lot of merch items like a convenience store :) and I found that nice! I got the grilled pork, the special combo, Vietnamese cold coffee, and some whole beans. The sandwiches were alright. The bread and veggies were super fresh, but not a lot of meat. Coffee was fine. I've been to Lee's in general like less than 5 times in my life. This is my second time at this location. I love their special cold cut meat sandwich and it was pretty good compared to other mom and pop shops. Service was slow even though we were the only customer at that time. It may be due to online order. I would definitely come back again! Nothing beats a good bahn mi. We also tried to order a drink that was shown on the menu but it's not available at this location and the staff clarified that it was a generic menu for all locations but not all items are offered in all locations. 3.4 stars Lee's used to be one my favorite banh mi shops back in early 2000s, but the quality has gone down a bit and the diversification of so many shelf-stable products makes them a jack of all trades, master of none. Their staples are still good like the sandwiches, croissants, and whatever is in the heated case. Coffee remains consistent. My usual order is their #14 pork roll and pate ($6.99) w/ extra vegetables ($.75). And coffee, but I buy the bottled coffee ($2.99) and buy a large cup of ice ($.50) to pour into. That way, I get about 1.5 cups of coffee for less $$. With inflation the way it is, I can't blame the number of Yelpers who complain about the ice-to-coffee ratio. Even if it's the correct way to drink Vietnamese coffee, paying $4+ for majority ice is insane. Service is quick and the cashiers have always been really nice. I'll still come back when I feel the banh mi itch. read more

I asked if he could just fill it all the way, and they tried to charge me $2 to fill to the top. Ridiculous lol. Just ordered a regular after this for $4.29 and asked them to give me another regular with regular ice. All he did was fill this cup to the top. Very nice staff here. Speedy too. This lee's is located in the wendy's plaza on valley. Large coffee is not as strong. Maybe they made ahead of time, that's why they serve so fast. Where do I start? I've been coming here for years like 15+ if not longer, mostly for the Iced Coffee and Baguette, I usually get my Banh Mi's from other smaller restaurants as they taste better. I do enjoy their iced coffee and know that they sell the concentrate at Costco however I would prefer to not purchase that as I would feel tempted to drink it everyday. I noticed this Iced Coffee (Large) now costs $5.99, I mean that is really high now, it's so high i'd rather get fresh boba milk tea for $7-$8 at other higher end spots. Sandwiches were crunchy and fresh. I like to squish/flatten the bread before biting in so it's not as hard. Coffee wasn't filled all the way to the top of cup. I went there for the convenience to pick up some eggrolls to share with my team. I had a piece and the bad oil tastes is in the filling and extremely overwhelming. My colleague tried a piece as well and its a consensus the aftertaste of bad oil lingers in your palette. I called to inform them and she repeatedly said we change our oil daily. Our work function ordered lunch from them and I planned on eating just half of their roast beef and cheese sandwich on a croissant. It was way better than I expected that I ended up eating the whole thing. The sandwich came in a clear box with all the vegetable fixings in a separate baggie so the croissant wasn't soggy. The croissant was heavenly, very bad for my figure. The roast beef was tender, juicy and flavorful. We also had their almond cookies. They were so good, too bad I did not get a close up pic. I definitely have an obsession with this place. Now I would like to be clear that I do not like the food whatsoever. Not a fan of their dyed red meat. The weird sogginess of the meat and bread and unpleasant to me and I would rather go to Ba Le for my sandwiches. But the coffee? I LIVE for their coffee. Five stars just for their coffee. I usually get a regular Lee's coffee or a regular Lee's coffee smoothie with boba. Both are delicious. For the Lee's coffee, it may get watered down, because I'll chug it at work and the leftover mixes with the water, but the smoothie version is so good and since it's evenly mixed with ice, they coffee taste is still there. Surprisingly, their boba is pretty good! It's not sweet, but the consistency is there. I usually go through drive though and don't have any trouble, besides the lines. The only bad part about this place is the line, but I'm not surprised at how many people enjoy a good coffee. read more

We love the grilled pork and the tofu bahn mi at Lee's. They also sell freshly baked baguettes and other Vietnamese specialties. I need to get over there one morning for the super popular coffee while my body can handle the caffeine hit. We usually go to the one in Pasadena but tried this one on Valley this time. The pork sandwiches were...they smelled too porky for me. If you are sensitive to smell, then avoid the pork sandwiches. My husband got the #11 Special combination. I had a bite and immediately noticed a porky smell. My husband on the other hand loved it so much that he went back inside and ordered #6 bbq pork (Chinese style). Now #6 had more of a porky smell vs the #11 so people who love pork, you know what to order lol The #70, the op la (fried egg sandwich) with the pickled veg were good, and definitely recommend! 2 thumbs up! As for parking, I usually don't have any problems finding parking but the parking lot does get busy as there are quite a few stores and restaurants in the same plaza. read more

Lee's is a good place if you're craving Banh Mi Sandwiches. First off, they open really early which is great if you're an early bird, I usually call in my sandwich on my drive in so I don't have to wait at all by the time I arrive. This Lees sandwich is in a shared plaza and this plaza gets really busy. Parking can get challenging if you come at the wrong time. The good thing is that the driveway isn't steep so if you drive a low clearance car, you don't worry as much about scraping up the driveway. The food here is good, especially their bread. I usually get the grilled pork since that's my favorite Banh mi. The bread was warm and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Some places have really hard bread and it causes my mouth to feel but not this Lees. The meat is good, I didn't have an issue where there wasn't enough meat in my sandwich. The veggies are a little bit thicker than other places, but that gives it a nice crunch. The way they wrap their sandwiches is interesting. It shows what sandwich you ordered so if you order a lot of sandwiches and not sure which is which, you can tell from the wrapper which is a nice touch. Service here is quick and friendly. I was so disappointed I have to leave review. I had the chicken sandwich as part of a large group order. The amount of chicken was a skimpy minimum, as was the slaw. The veggies were coarsely cut, lacked flavor, and sparsely strewn across the sandwich. I rebundled all the contents into a third of the bread to make a decent, satisfying sandwich. I do not remember them being this parsimonious with their sandwich contents precovid. The 2 stars are for the decent flavor of the contents and acceptable crusty/soft ratio of the baguette.
