I stopped in last week before going bowling with some friends. I love their selection of drinks. I was super excited about their string beans. I had to order some of those, not spicy at all. Me, personally, I am in it for the flavor and crunch of the beans, not so much of the spicy. I don't care from anything spicy. I want flavor. These string beans definitely delivered. They were so delicious. The fact that I had my awesome strawberry lychee smoothie-drink to quench my thirst, that was really a superduper moment for me. The strawberry/was so delicious and didn't have any crazy huge chunks of ice in it. Everything was so perfectly mixed in. I asked for extra light tea and extra strawberry bits. They were able to do that for me easily. I also asked to substitute one thing for the red bean. Lady who made my beans was super friendly. She asked me how she could customize it and make it better for me. I really appreciated that. There are not a whole lot of places to sit. However, there is a bench just inside the door. There were plenty of drinks, special and special flavors to choose from. I like how easy it was to customize our drink. Even better, although I paid a bit extra, I was able to add a lot of fresh fruit to my drink. That made it nice. I would easily come back here again, especially for the string beans. Parking is available in the front along the street side. Be careful. The cars that moveup & fly down on Valley Boulevard move very quickly. read more

I've been looking for the best popcorn chicken in SGV and this is top 3 that's for sure! I found this rec in SGV eats on FB groups and have been meaning to try...if you are looking for authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken. I'm not Taiwanese, but honestly Taiwanese popcorn is my fave and one of my very best friends is Taiwanese so I can attest to popcorn chicken being crispy on the outside and moist chicken on the inside with the right amount of seasoning just how you like it. Also, I like the extra touch of basil. I love the crispiness. As you can see from my picture attached, I kept eating from the cup and it was never ending so they didn't skimp on the cup. Prices were decent. I also ordered winter melon milk tea less sweet which is not an ordinary order lol and they gave it to me half sweet. Honestly it was just right! So I have to give them 5/5 stars. It's Sunday afternoon, the small bubble tea specialty chain store has been around for a long time. It's fairly bright, clean with seating inside. Service is friendly. Price is really reasonable. We got the minced ground pork rice and popcorn chicken (mild)for $8 each! They are both tasty and authentic Taiwanese style. I took off a point because we really want to try shave ice for $8, but the seating area is closed (lack of worker or other issues). Overall, this is a gem in the area if you want to eat snacks. Lollicup Fresh has been a long term staple in the Alhambra area for years! While it isn't the best tea spot in town, you definitely get your money's worth. I usually come here for the ground pork bowl as it is still under $10 and is quite filling. This place is strictly to go only, as they have closed off their dining area since C19. Drinks are served quick here and the service is great! It is to go only as I've never seen the dining space or back door open. It seems like it's more of a take-out spot. My sweet boyfriend had a regular Signature Milk Tea with Honey Boba ($4.45) and I had their Almond Milk Tea with Taro Pudding ($6). The drinks were quickly made, but when we got them it looked so small. The cups definitely shrank from what I remember Lollicup regular sizes to be, while the pricing went up. Nevertheless we still enjoyed our boba. This would have been my high school self's young dreams come true having a boy drive me to get boba. Goals! my family and i have been coming here for two years! this is the most superior lollicup we have ever been to because the food is so incredibly fresh. every time we are nearby, we have to get the popcorn chicken, the fried tempura, the calamari, and the calamari balls. it's seasoned with the best taiwanese seasoning and sprinkled with FRIED BASIL, which is how you know it's gonna be delicious. the food can take more than a few minutes, but that goes to show how fresh it is, it comes out steaming hot and the popcorn chicken is soo crunchy and juicy and nearly burns my mouth while im trying to gobble it down! and AGAIN the food is amazing. you can get a plate of rice with braised pork, sauteed string beans, and mapo tofu with a whole regular sized serving of popcorn chicken, with a drink! talk about a great combo, cooked with actual love and care. i loooooove the string beans here! i do love the managers here, theyre so friendly and they always welcome my family. they closed off the seating area inside but theres a couple chairs next to the cashier. the inside is super nostalgic of those early 2010 boba shops and this shop in particular reminds me more of a small business than a chain, because of how distinctly different and better it is than most others. i love the food here and i love how it's become a tradition in my family. Back in the day (early 2010s), this, along with Quickly and Tapioca Express, would be places I go as they are relatively cheap, and the pricing relative to other boba places still stands today. Rather than a $6-7+ boba drink, you can find $4 ones here, though the quality is as expected to not be the best. I got the almond milk tea with boba half sweet, and it is not that good. Boba is very mushy and not as tasty as the high quality boba pearls even in its original form (as most places have brown sugar mixed in for enhanced flavor). The almond flavor is a bit strong and comes more from powder, so it was a bit overwhelming and tastes quite fake so it wasn't too enjoyable. At 50% sweet, it's still a bit too sweet. The fact that these places still exist amongst a lot of boba places might be due to the fact this is one of the cheaper boba places out there, and caters to specific clientele. Personally, I'd rather go without boba twice as long as I want to in order to get a higher quality boba drink than 2 of these drinks. read more

Occasionally, I've tried the other drinks, but those two are my favorite. My friend orders different drinks each time, but his usual is the caramel frappe. We also order popcorn chicken extra spicy. This place actually makes their popcorn chicken extra spicy. It's literally the one of the best popcorn chicken snacks i've ever had. My friend and I get this 90 percent of the time. Sometimes we are so full from eating at a restaurant, but we will still get popcorn chicken to save for later. It's that good. What we love about this place is the consistency.
