Came to this location around 7:20pm because I needed a gallon of sugarcane juice. They told me they don't make gallon orders after 7pm. My question is... where does it say that? There wasn't a sign, no notice, and nobody mentioned it beforehand. If that's really the policy, you guys need to post a sign so customers don't waste their time driving over. I literally walked out, called the Alhambra location, and they had no problem making the exact same order for me. Not much else to say. If it's a real policy, communicate it better. Otherwise you're just sending customers somewhere else. read more

This has to be the skimpiest açaí bowl I've ever had. For a "regular" size $12.95, the mango and açaí base was filled to half the container (right at the end of the V on the logo). I commented on this and was told that yes, that's how much comes in a regular. If I didn't put any toppings on the bowl, it would have been half empty. As it was, the bowl was still not full even as I added random toppings to make it fuller. You can tell that it's basically a toppings bowl rather than an açaí bowl at this point. It would have been like that sad sad photo from Sebastian H month ago. Never again. I'm going to Açaí Joint next time, which actually has bowls that doesn't skimp on the açaí (and does have unlimited toppings as well). read more

Stopped by half an hour before closing. The staff was efficient and friendly. What we wanted was straightforward - half a gallon of sugarcane juice. It came in a large resealable bag. Taste-wise it was above average but not the best we have had (that honor goes to Cococane in OC, which also costs less) but still quite good. I love this Vita Cane branch at Universal Square shopping Center. The decor was vibrant and cute. The shop was very clean. The lady who served us was friendly and nice. The service was fast and efficient. The menu includes various signature mixology drinks, Foam coffee, and Açai bowl. You can build your own bowl and choose the size too. I was craving Sugarcane and I ordered the plain one. It was naturally sweetened and refreshing. It is a nice and clean branch. Definitely, I will go back whenever I am in the neighborhood. read more

Ambiance - vibrant, healthy, and relaxing place to sit down and hang out with friends. Service - I was there around noon time and they made my orders pretty fast. Drinks - I ordered 50/50 with Passion Fruit 32 oz and Vita Cane 50/50 24 oz. Passion Fruit drink has strong sour taste of which I did not like even though it was supposed to be 50/50. Vita Cane does a wonderful job selling coconut water and sugar juice. The taste of those fresh juices together can replenish any thirst. My go to drinks are the original 50/50 or the green machine. The green machine is the same as the 50/50 but with pennyworth, which i believe is some sort of green plant. some might not like the tasty of the earthiness, but for some it hits the spot. Parking is shared in a huge lot but you can sometimes you can find trouble with it. read more

Came to this place for a post workout treat after the gym and it was the best idea ever! I was really craving a smoothie or acai bowl and saw that this place had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We went an hour before they were closing so it wasn't crowded at all, but they were already putting the chairs away so we couldn't dine in, which was a bummer and I thought was weird since there was still an hour left until they closed. Regardless, I created my own acai bowl and it was delicious. I got their mango, coconut, and acai base and they were all good, but the coconut base was my favorite. So creamy and flavorful. They also had a lot of toppings to chose from, I mostly got fruits, nuts and almond butter, but the overall combination was great. I'd definitely come here again when craving a smoothie bowl. It's located in a plaza so there's ample parking. The staff was also nice and patient with us, since it took us a while to decide on the flavors. Again, the only observation I had was that we couldn't dine in despite the store still being open an hour before closing, but luckily the acai bowl was easy to eat anywhere. This is the best sugarcane spot in SGV. Hands down they have the sweetest sugarcane juice in the area. My go to has always been the 100% pure juice, not the different blends they have on the menu. If you are feeling creative, they have a whole menu of juices they can add to your sugarcane drink. Also, they have some of the best Acai bowls I've ever had. Pay for the size you want and you can add as many toppings as you want. I recommend you to try their "Kilo Honey" to top it off. It is a raw white organic honey from the Kilo Company. This is my go to place for when I want something refreshing to drink. I tried most of their drinks and all of them are pretty good. My favorite is their Coco melon drink. This drink is really refreshing on a hot day because it contains watermelon juice. I also love the coconut bits in the drink. They give a good amount and they cut it into small pieces so I am able to get it through the straw they have. They also have acai bowls. I like how they offer unlimited toppings and unique flavors for their base such as matcha and ube. They also have chai pudding which I like to get in my bowls. My mom likes their drinks because it reminds her of the freshly squeezed sugarcane juice when she was younger. She usually prefers the original one, but will go for the kumquat one every so often when she wants a little extra fruity flavor. I usually like the coco melon one. My brother has tried a few of them and thinks they're just okay - he's more of a coffee guy, I guess. The inside is cute, but doesn't seem like it's a place to hang out for long. We haven't tried the acai bowls yet, so I can't speak to that. vita cane is one of my go to places in 626 for build your own acai bowls which i love for the huge variety that they have. i get all the bases and chia seed pudding and granola and all the fruit. they are generous will all their toppings/portions so my bowl ends up quite a mound but that's why i love build your own acai bowls. the bases hold their own flavor and it does not melt too quickly which is a huge plus for me. I just really want to give a shout out to this business. I was in a tight spot, trying to drive my children two hours in rush-hour traffic to Orange County while they were napping and I really needed something in between meals. This business was so efficient that they helped me pick out the right flavor over the phone and helped get everything set up so that I could go in with my payment so I didn't have to leave the kids by themselves. Ever since they opened, Vita Cane has consistently lived up to my expectations. They are generous with their toppings and have not raised their prices this year, when most other places have done so. I keep coming back for a small açaí bowl, which they recommend you choose no more than 2-3 bases because it would get too mixed up, and I usually go crazy on fruits and their nut butters.
