When I'm craving something sweet I think of Ice Cream. The closest Cold Stone is near my job which makes it even better! I wish I could say I'd visit it every week if I could, but I limit myself to a once in a while treat. When I've gone, I have been treated fairly by the staff. They also let me taste some of the new flavors when I ask. If they don't, they're probably busy. It's one of the cleanest places I've gone to! It hits the spot though! read more

I had the worst experience picking up a cake order here. There was an employee who seemed like a manager gossiping with customers under the pick-up sign and rudely pointing at other staff when asked for service. Meanwhile everyone else is totally slammed, running around, and she won't even stop her gossiping session long enough to answer the other staff's questions so we can all move on with our lives. Everyone in the shop is just screaming at the top of their lungs to be heard over the chaos, no one is getting helped, and it was overall just very slow and miserable to do what was supposed to be a quick pick-up. read more

I've never been to a cold stone where you couldn't try their ice cream. My kids have never been to a cold stone, but we're only allowed to try the promotional ice cream.. the ladies in here aren't very friendly as well. I ordered a shake and it was more like a juice lol the lady told me it was because of the fruits I added in my shake LMAO no it's because you were stingy with the ice cream and added too much milk. I come here often but today I got a worker named lulu. I ordered a strawberry randevu which was a discontinued recipe And she made it seem like she wasn't allowed to make it. And kept saying she doesn't know why it was discontinued and said maybe she's not allowed to because of the toppings but she'll make it for us "this one time". This Cold Stone Creamery location in Alhambra is my go-to Cold Stone. I've been coming here for years. Most recently I got an ice cream cake here and now with the online options, things are very easy and streamlined. You're able to do everything online and show up in the store to pick it up the day you have it set on. It's been a hot minute since I have been to a Cold Stone. There is definitely a sense of nostalgia for me. I kind of hate and also love the waffle cones and waffle bowls because the way it wafts through the air and it just smells so amazing. If you've never been to a Cold Stone, you're able to choose an ice cream base and then toppings where the team member will mix and chop up the ingredients into the ice cream for a yummy treat. The ability to customize things to whatever you want was pretty novel at the time. Parking: there is a structure right across the street but slightly north. There are a couple of 24 minutes spots on the first floor so it makes it easy for a grab and go. Otherwise, if you get lucky there is street parking if you get lucky. read more

It's a loud environment and you aren't allowed to get close to the ice cream glass as they have it roped off so make sure you use your loud voice and listen closely. Not much to say about the service. They all seemed pretty young, not very friendly and probably tired from a long day. Response from the owner Elizabeth after I raised an issue about the spelling of the name being wrong. There's no accountability for the store or employee to acknowledge a mistake was made but rather made it look like I could have avoided this when the employee or even the manager could have done their due diligence to ensure they did their job correctly. They said the issue could have been avoided if I alerted them in the store. An employee called me and said the manager would reach out regarding a reimbursement or a discount and I got none of that. (Owners response to me below) "Hello, we do apologize for the inconvenience. In the future, when an issue arises, we are more than happy to correct the error. We looked into the situation via cameras, and we saw that the issue could have been avoided. We viewed a picture that you posted on Yelp that we have a video of you taking in the store which lets us know that you could have alerted us of the misspelling in store. This location protects its worker and customers by maintain safe distance protocols being a high traffic store. Ordered the chocolate devotion was is essentially dark chocolate with brownies, fudge and bits mixed into an awesome scoop. They have three sizes and the price difference makes it completely more worth it to just order the largest "Gotta have it" size. (50 cent differences between the sizes). Besides having delicious selections the service here is top notch and wanted so a shout out to James for being such an awesome, patient, and courteous customer service professional highly admire by my wife and I. There is parking in a structure down the small street that free if you cannot find parking in this busy street. I highly recommend this business and location! I took my family for ice cream. We were helped by a very polite young girl. However there was a dyed blonde girl with a nose ring who kept making remarks about us to other customers. She seemed bothered and did not like kids. She also made a remark about how she did understand why someone would bring their kid to an ice cream shop. It felt like it was a race issue with her and her remarks of " these people" My niece is a toddler and our experience was uncomfortable. It was not just one remark but multiple and after we did tell her we felt like she was being rude, she made a comment of " I'm not going to bother with you people". Although there are many Cold Stones around, I haven't been to one in many years. I visited this one for a quick ice cream and believe got a cup of the Apple Pie a La Coldstone. I asked for less caramel since I am not a big fan of overly sweet foods. I wish I asked for less apple pie as well, since I forgot how sweet that was! Overall, the ice cream was still too sweet for my liking. The manager at this location isn't attentive to her customers. My family and I came to this location for a sweet treat, and before greeting us she just asked "what do you need?" I understand it was somewhat busy, but as a manager you should know how to work through every circumstance. Also she failed to get our order correct, my dad wanted a simple one scoop cone, and she gave him a like it sized cup. After communicating that it wasn't correct, she simply said it would be too much work for her to put it into a cone, and said she would put one on top, but continued to charge extra for the cone on top of charging the like it size that we didn't want. She also didn't wash the utensils that she was using before moving to the next flavor. I didn't want to make a big deal of it at the time, but the service was honestly so upsetting. Have always been a fan of Cold Stone. Who doesn't like customization?! My favorite and typically the only thing I order for myself is cheesecake ice cream with brownie and strawberries mixed in. Yum! Seems to be new employees every time I go in. I usually have good service with no complaints. However, my last visit was not so great. The young man mixing my ice cream showed minimal effort in greeting me, in his horrible listening and speaking skills, and in doing his main job...mixing. I was not satisfied when I was handed the order. However, I didn't make a fuss about it because him and an older woman were too busy displaying their annoyance with each other by exchanging looks and comments. Extremely unprofessional.
