Ordered a custom "Blackpink" cake for my friend's birthday and Annie came through! Gave her some general ideas of what I wanted and she was able to make that idea possible. Cake was amazing!! Super moist and for a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, not super sweet which is great!! Annie was very communicative and I was able to pick the cake up from her future storefront.
Annie, did an awesome job pulling off a hello kitty/ K-pop demon hunter mashup cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. She even went the extra mile and coordinated delivery during a time the shop was closed. Would definitely recommend butter-lab for cakes. Ours was vanilla funfetti flavored and everyone loved it, just wish we would have had more leftovers. Thanks Annie!
Annie is the sweetest! I was in a pinch for my baby shower cake and she came through! She understood exactly what I was looking for. The guests loved the taste of the cake too! Not only is she great with cakes but the crinkle cookies are amazing! It is my guilty pleasure. I am pretty picky with cookies and the way she nails it... it's amazing. They are the perfect amount of flavor where it is not overpowering or overly sweet. The softness is perfect too and the cookie doesn't get hard the next day. Definitely make sure to try it if a shop has these or just order from Butter Lab directly! Definitely worth it and you won't regret it.

Annie made my daughter's joint rainbow birthday party increbibly special! She decorated the individual birthday kid's cake with beautiful rainbows that they adored. She also made the most deliecious sheet cake for the whole party. We had leftovers and I thought how will I ever finish this. I literally ate a piece every day until it was gone. I know where I am ordering my own birthday cake this year! I love love the buter cream icing and the texture of her cakes. You will not be disappointed!! And she is super sweet and easy to work with.

I had Butter Lab's ube crinkle cookie for the first time from Bone Kettle restaurant in Pasadena. And oh my goodness I was hoookedddd!!! The flavor is so rich but not overpowering. And they taste naturally flavored, not artificial. And the consistency, it's like a mix between a brownie and a chewy cookie! Pro tip: if you toast it, they get warm and the outside becomes crusty too!! They're easily my favorite thing!! Since then, I've tried all the different flavors from either Bone Kettle or Cloverleaf Coffee & Bakery. My favorite is still ube!! Followed by pandan coconut, and thai tea!! Have also tried black sesame and matcha, both of which are also great! Also, try their ube blondie too! If I ever host a big event after pandemic is over, I will definitely trust Butter Lab to provide desserts and little give-away cookie gift bags for my guests!

I cannot say enough good things about Annie! She was so easy to work with, and the cake was DELICIOUS! I'm very sensitive to super sweet things and Annie got it. Butter-Lab has been part of my family celebrations for the past 4 years - birthdays, baptisms, Thanksgivings, Christmases and any other time I can find an excuse to order delicious treats from Annie. Besides having really appealing Instagram images of her cakes and baked items, the thing I really appreciated when I first made an inquiry was how professional and responsive Annie was. I had a very basic question but she replied in a very friendly and helpful way, and right away offered to customize the order to meet my needs. She explained everything in terms of pricing, details and specifics for how the cake could be assembled, and made it all so easy by delivering to my home. The cake was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and tasted excellent. The assorted crinkle cookies are amazing! I especially loved the Thai tea flavor. So unique and rich. The texture is also amazing. The matcha, sesame, and ube flavors are solid too. We also got the ube overload butter cake which was GORGEOUS! The cake part is really tasty, tho the cream was a little too dense for more than a slice. Still really delicious overall! read more

I just threw my son's high-school graduation party and went looking everywhere for a bakery that was easy to work with and could build a personalized cake for my event. I came across the Butter Lab and instantly knew this was where I was going to make my cake dreams come to life! Annie was so communicative with me, and discussing the style of cake I wanted, she made it a breeze. She took all the worry out of getting it all done. Even knowing it was our first (and definitely not the last time) working with her, I felt very confident that I was going to be happy with the results, Plus she delivered too! I chose to go with non traditional flavors and icing to jazz things up a bit. I did carrot cake with Dulce de leche icing for my first tier, than banana with chocolate frosting for my bottom tier, I love that there was a variety of different flavor combinations to choose from. To be totally forthcoming the cake was a bit dry and the flavors didn't hit for me personally. However, the rounding out came with her cookies, we did the Traditional Chocolate Chip, and Schnicker Doodle and than a dozen Ube, out of sheer curiosity. I am starting to see this trendy flavor pop up everywhere, it's delicious. To the cookies we all tipped our hats! Didn't even have a chance to get a proper photo. They were so moist and delicious they were gone before I blinked! I highly recommend the cookies as an addition to or even make them your main event! To sum up this was a very positive experience, no stress, and it seems as though Annie can pretty much do anything you can imagine. Working with her was great and communication easy and open!
