    Matcha Pistachio Croissant
    C. J.

Wow. It was my first time here, having heard about it from my wife since they opened. The gentleman who helped us was patient and really helpful. My wife and I shared what I believe was a Matcha Pistachio Croissant. The pistachio filling was incredible.

At Delight Pastry .... wow. The smoked salmon croissant stopped me in my tracks.. flaky, buttery layers topped with delicate smoked salmon, fresh dill, pickled onion, and a cloud of whipped cream that somehow ties it all together. Savory, bright, and balanced in that effortless way that makes you pause after the first bite. The salad was crisp and refreshing, a perfect counterpoint, and the cold oat-milk latte was smooth and well pulled.. The kind of drink that quietly tells you they care about the details. The place was super clean with a lot of comfortable seating.. A Simple lunch, done exceptionally well. Perhaps perfection.

Delight Pastry comes to my rescue! I forgot to get a cake for my birthday and they had same day pick up options of their 3 best selling cakes. I went with Berry Delight which I didn't expect to like as much as I did: my guests loved the frosting (and this is a group that prefers less sweet desserts) and I found the vanilla cake to be perfect. Delight always has a special place in my heart!

Absolutely love this place! The transplants took over the neighboring bakeries so I went to Delight. I needed a quick bite so I tried their Jalapeño and cheddar scone. It's been a day and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm going back to get a bunch of them. They had the spiral chocolate croissant on their IG so I decided to try it. It was incredible. Inside it had a light chocolate custard or pudding. Not sure but it was delicious. I'm kind of a fatty so I wish it had Nutella instead. But it might be too rich. Service is always on point. Other times I've been and they are always kind and helpful. Lots of great spots to sit and eat.

Was craving the raspberry croissant so I went to get this! Small quaint cute coffee shop with plenty of seating. The service was efficient: prepare and ask for what I was looking for then pursue to box them bag the items: matcha pistachio and raspberry croissants. Got what I needed in 10 minutes. Thanks

Lots of pastries to choose from

Cute pastry spot in old town Pasadena. Upbeat music played in the background. Service was great, very friendly staff. I ordered the mango delight; the center of it was filled with chucks of mango, very yummy, a little too sweet for me but still good. The outer layer was crunchy and thin, like mango chocolate. Love the different textures when biting into it. Ordered Napoleon for my mom and the chocolate heaven for my daughter. Lots of options to choose from. Also got their Nutella croissant and ham and cheese croissant for breakfast hehe

The matcha pistachio croissant is to die for! It's incredibly soft, fresh, and flaky, and the filling is absolutely amazing. I'm officially addicted and already thinking about my next one!

TLDR: freshly made croissants priced around $6-8. Some hits and misses depending on what you order -- the matcha pistachio croissant is a standout, while the Nutella and tiramisu lean too sweet or pricey, limited street parking We went on a Monday midmorning and happy to find only a short line. Everything is made in-house, and the croissants are large and look beautiful in the display case. Prices are on the higher end for pastries ($6-8), but maybe that's the norm? The Nutella croissant was too sweet for me (3.5/5), though my husband enjoyed it, highly recommend to warm it up so it's crispy and soft. The matcha pistachio croissant, fresh out of the oven, was easily the best one we tried (4/5): buttery, flaky, and not overly sweet. I just wish it had a stronger matcha flavor since it leaned more pistachio-almond than matcha. The tiramisu wasn't worth it, small portion, not the most appealing presentation, and almost $10, which felt steep. The pistachio spiral croissant was tasty but dense and heavy, best shared and reheated for the right texture. Service was quick and friendly, and while parking is limited to street spots or parking structure across the street, it's a decent spot to grab a treat if you're in the area.

There loads of structure and street parking to walk here. The inside is clean and low volume. It's a good place to hangout with friends. The staff are nice and friendly. I've tried the pastries here a few times. It has always been good. I do like their flavor options, especially lychee. The lychee raspberry tart was delicious. Not too sweet and you get both soft/creamy texture along with the crunchy crust. I haven't tried the sandwiches yet but I'd like to someday. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth a chance.

    Caprese Sandwich

So yummy!! I came to pick up a cake - which I highly recommend - and grab a bite to eat for lunch. Great food and super delicious. I ordered the Caprese which was served with a small salad. The focaccia bread was crisp and soft. The tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella was excellent. The sandwich has a pesto spread that reminded me of a Caprese sandwich I ordered back when Louise's trattoria was still in Old Pasadena. The location is perfect right on the corner and walkable from local offices on the area. They have a very nice and clean café. The staff is sweet too. They are very helpful to offer advice on what you maybe interested in ordering. Seems like they have a following as a few customers came in for a coffee and goodies.

Saw this on my Maps and was very intrigued, so I had to stop by! It's a little hidden but the inside is very cute and leaning on a girly aesthetic. There was still quite a bit of pastries even around 1:30pm. I got a regular croissant, matcha pistacho croissant, and raspberry croissant. Total came out to around 15 or so? I asked for the regular croissant to warmed up--took 3 minutes, but it was very good! I felt indifferent about the matcha pistachio croissant. However, my coworkers got some macaroons and enjoyed them!

They are located in Mills Alley in Pasadena just look for the bright red sign and signage promoting some flavors. We came by after having dinner. The staff greeted us as we walked in. It was empty when we initially arrived then more customers filtered in shortly after. Staff allowed to sample their unique flavor options. **To note, they offer a few vegan flavors for those with dietary restrictions**. Always a huge plus and positive! The flavors are middle eastern inspired and the details are all listed. My wife and I sampled 2 flavors and we both enjoyed our selections. The flavors are memorable. We happily decided on the Sesame Halve (vegan) & Pistachio Konafa with Chocolate Shell (+$1.00) for myself. The presentation is one of a kind! The topping with the tiny little rose is a nice aesthetic and definitely their trademark. The location offers retro and colorful style seating for 10+ customers if I had to guess . Patio seats are also offered outside. Also, OG Pac-Man arcades are available inside. My wife loved her Sesame Halva and my Pistachio Konafa with Chocolate Shell totally reminded me of a Dubai Chocolate type of vibe with each bite! When we arrived, we were the only two there for a few minutes until more people came. We were greeted right away. We walked down a ramp that led us to their selections. It's a decent-sized shop with a few tables. Each table had a rose in a vase attached via velcro so you don't have to worry about tipping them over. The shop is also nicely decorated with wall art. It's been a few days since then and we can't stop thinking about coming back. They serve unique Middle-Eastern flavored ice cream. I ordered the Sesame Halva which is their vegan ice cream made of Halva ice cream with sesame & coconut. OMG, I've never tasted anything like this before. I love anything that has a sesame profile. If you like that nutty, sweet, and earthy flavor this one is for you. I could taste the coconut, but it wasn't overpowering. There were also little chunks of halva in there that added a slight bit of sweetness. The texture was similar to cookie dough, but softer. Aside from the taste, I loved the simple presentation of the small rose on top of the scoop. It made it look elegant. As you can tell, I am definitely coming back and highly recommend stopping by.

First, the good: the cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy all the way through. No dry cinnamon rolls here! The service was also very friendly. The not so good: my first bite, which somehow managed to not have much icing, gave me a clear taste of the dough. It reminded me a lot of canned biscuit dough. I prefer a thicker icing, this one was quite runny and very sweet without any nuance to the flavor. Also, I really wanted to try the peach cobbler cupcakes but they didn't have any cupcakes in stock at all, only a few cake slices. We went around noon, and I hoped they would have plenty of options around that time :/ Unfortunately I've had much better cinnamon rolls elsewhere in LA. It's still tasty because, well, it's a cinnamon roll... but not sure I'll be back unless it's to try the cake or cupcakes.

The Ube Malted Crunch® definitely lived up to the hype. It was creamy, rich, and had that slightly nutty vanilla-like ube flavor with crunchy malted bits that added a really fun texture. You can see why it's their signature flavor. The pandan tres leches was also interesting and unique. On our most recent visit - admittedly our first in a while - I was surprised that the flavors mostly seemed like repeats from a long time ago. Of course, you want to feature what is most popular, but I remember previously seeing things that were truly one of a kind, even for them. (Out of curiosity, I visited their website and the seasonal flavor blog hasn't been updated since spring 2021). None of this is a deal-breaker, but the feeling of "tiredness" permeated my interaction with the staff, too. There was no joy behind the counter, which I found odd for ice cream that is supposedly about the love of travel. When I tried to order a scoop of one flavor, I was told that I couldn't have it because there wasn't enough left for a full scoop. When I asked if I could have the half scoop that remained and just combine it with another flavor (trying to solve the problem for them), I was told that they aren't allowed to do half and half splits anymore. Fortunately, another employee showed up at that very moment with a fresh full tub of that flavor, but it still struck me as odd. They were also out of cones because of another problem. I am giving them four stars because the ice cream is still great and definitely worth a try if you've never had it, but I hope they can maintain their spark and magic as they continue to expand.
