There is a smallish macaron counter with popular flavors and can be boxed up to bring home. The house made sandwiches (focaccia), breakfasts and lunch items are very good to excellent also and with great prices. With about 15 tables (a couple of tables for larger groups), there's a steady stream of people here and it would be a matter of time when lines will form out the door. Service is super attentive. We were on our way somewhere else when I smelled something buttery in the air. I told my partner, "I have to eat this smell," and we followed our noses to Delight Pastry. The large display of pastries is sure to dazzle, and we spend a good minute looking over the multitude of offerings in the case. Service was fast and efficient, and we sat ourselves. I found this bakery completely by happenstance when I went to the new 'viral' Nana's Green Tea next door and didn't want to join the long queue...I decided to check out this place instead. The owner should thank Nana's for a lot of 'accidental' new customers. As a mango dessert maven I was delighted to find at least 3 kinds of mango concoctions. I got the "Mango Delight" (1/2 mango and 1/2 white chocolate mousse) it was so yummy and refreshing! I wish they also had mango eclair then I would come here every week! Absolutely love this place! The transplants took over the neighboring bakeries so I went to Delight. I needed a quick bite so I tried their Jalapeño and cheddar scone. It's been a day and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm going back to get a bunch of them. They had the spiral chocolate croissant on their IG so I decided to try it. It was incredible. This one is a tough one to write. I had such high hopes for this place by scrolling through Yelp and Instagram, and I made sure to make this one of my stops after the 8 hour trip to the greater LA area. So to start off, my family and I got here at 8:30 in the morning, 30 minutes after they open. We were on a tight schedule and just passing through, so the plan was to try some beautiful looking pastries then continue on our journey. When we first walked in what was immediately apparent was that no preparation was done to actually have the store ready for customers, even 30 minutes after opening, it's not like we were knocking on the door at 8am. The selection was quite depressing, the cases were 80% still empty, none of the chocolate dipped options were out, and not a single spiral croissant, which is really why we made the stop. Then on the service, the younger woman working the register was absolutely not friendly, she seemed annoyed with us being there that early as she was still trying to prep the case herself. I get that and we were patient as well and let her finish what she was doing. I asked about if there's any spiral croissants getting put out, she told us those aren't available till 9:30 or 10.... That's just bad business honestly, you should be ready for your customers when you open, I've never worked at any Business in my life to where you get to show up at the exact same time as opening and set the store up with customers already trying to buy your product. But again, I'm a pretty patient person, so I kind of just went "ah bummer, well then let me get some of these and some of these and two lattes." That is where it continues, the lattes themselves just tasted like hot milk, not even a slight taste of the espresso. We actually ended up throwing these away after leaving and stopping at a Starbucks, not even finishing them. Then the pastries, they were just OK, they look beautiful, but they just taste just fine. Same with the cake that we bought, that was about the caliber of a grocery store cake. The one that we did all enjoy was the pistachio, but again it would've been nice to see the chocolate dipped options. The one that really drove this down was the Spanakopitia. I usually like these, and to be extremely harsh, but equally honest it smelled like vomit, I tasted it anyways, and it tasted exactly how it smelled. I don't know what the heck was wrong with this thing, maybe it was from the day before, maybe there was an issue making the filling, but this didn't even stay in my mouth. The amount of good reviews this place has is shocking to me, it leads me to believe that maybe we were just there on a really off day, or maybe there was call ins of the staff, or other issues. But we truly did not have a good experience, if you open at 8, you need to be ready for customers at 8. read more

Love coming here for the pastries! My go-to orders are the pain au choclate, plain croissants, hazelnut chocolate filled croissants, anything seasonal they may have, or anything with berries! The croissants are flaky, light and soft on the inside. The ones with berry and chocolate are not overly sweet which is a big plus. This is such a nice quiet, lowkey spot that is great for a catch up session with a friend. A friend of mines told me about this place and it was perfect to grab a bite and coffee. There is a full menu with more items but I have only ordered the croissants. I did see alot of desserts and macaroons that I will have to try next time! Drink wise, they have different coffees and teas. I ordered the chai lattee and added lavendar flavor. It was pretty good! Nice and light and paired well with my croissant! Service is quick and kind. Parking wise, there is street parking but since this is located in Old Town, parking garages can be found in the surrounding area. This is close to Colorado so it's a nice area to walk around and stop by. They do not validate parking. I believe I spent a flat $5 fee for parking at a garage about a block away. May be a little pricey (I spent $28.75 for 2 plain croissants, 1 pain au choclat, 1 berry croissant, 1 lemon meringue croissant) but it's pretty great quality. read more

I've been to Delight Pastry many times in the past year. Time to leave them a great review that they deserve. Though nothing is vegan (as far as know), their pastries are amazing: Wide selection, unique, distinct flavor profiles, and very yummy. They often have new creations. They also offer savory breakfast items, though I don't have as much experience with those items. Their coffee is excellent and strong. I also love the pot of tea option when I want something lighter. Staff are always friendly and attentive. The dining area is clean, bright, and spacious. The furniture is comfortable, and they do have some plugs if you need them. I stopped by Delight Pastry to try their famous spiral croissant and was disappointed at first when I saw the placard in the display case with no pastries in front of it. Assuming they were sold out for the day, I scanned the display case to see what else would be a good alternative. Fortunately, my wife asked the person behind the counter about the spiral croissants, and we discovered they actually had them in the back! We ended up getting the pistachio cream-stuffed spiral croissant, and since I was in the mood for something savory, we also picked up a spanakopita pastry. The pastries here live up to the hype. This was my first time trying a spiral croissant, and it was incredible -- deliciously crunchy with just the right amount of filling so it doesn't spill out with every bite. The pistachio flavor was a little subtle, but still enjoyable. The savory spanakopita was beautifully made, with perfectly flaky pastry and spinach strands on the outside. The only thing that would've made this pastry better if is I was able to get it toasted up. I was pleasantly surprised that there were no lines and plenty of seating inside. I wanted to order a graduation cake for my son. We have ordered a couple of Birthday Cakes for him in the past from here because he loves their cake. I went in to order but was told I had to an online inquiry. This must be the new way to ghost clients. Anyway, I asked the employee if they could do Nutella before I left and she said yes, but go through the portal. I did and they got back to me and asked what I want. I told them I was less concerned about the decorations than I was on the flavors. And then nothing, no price, no communication, no nothing. It takes a few minutes to say we can't accommodate you, but how about this? I would have preferred this conversation in person and would have put the deposit/paid for the entire cake when I had gone in, but it was not possible. It had the equal proportion of sponge cake, ganache, the right kick of coffee , butter cream and finally topped with the delicious chocolate glaze. Absolutely delicious. Napolean was flaky filled with light vanilla cream. It was perfect Chocolate Mousse, had layers of chocolate cake, chocolate Mousse, and a crunchy chocolate layer at the bottom. I never get 3 pastries, they looked so good that I couldn't help it. All three were ahhhmazing! The beautiful shaped palmier, that's the best one I've ever had. Next, my favorite treat I crave often, Pain aux Raisin (spiral shaped croissant with raisins and alil cream) wish I would have had a hot coffee to my compliment it and finally a Nutella croissant, all deliiisshh! It's a very cute little pastry shop and welcoming. Parking in this part of Pasadena can be challenging but there's street parking and several garages nearby. I came in the late afternoon which is prob not the best time of day for pastries but I am not a morning person. I had this place bookmarked because I had seen so many viral videos of the spiral croissant and saw that this place makes them. Sadly I don't know if it's because it was late in the day but the pistachio spiral croissant didn't taste fresh and the cream did not have a prominent pistachio taste I expected. Sadly Delight was a pretty big let down for me. I have been looking forward to coming here for over a month after seeing pictures of all the beautiful pastries they have made. This was the first breakfast stop on our vacation and I was most excited for the rolled croissants and the chocolate dipped flavored croissants. Upon walking in my first impression of Delight was that the shop was adorable and loved the decor and the seating area scheme, very good job there. The woman working behind the counter was extremely unfriendly and looked as though we were interrupting her setting up the pastries in the case. We came at 8:30, which was a half hour after they had opened. Honestly every other bakery I have been too the cases are fully stocked and ready to go before they even unlock the doors.. We asked the woman if they would be putting out the rolled croissants and the dipped croissants soon as this is the main thing we came here for. She responded that they would not be getting put out until 9:30 or 10! That was a pretty big let down for me but we were here to stock up on breakfast so chose a chose from what was available. Honestly for how much hype this place had the pastries were not all that great. The only one I really enjoyed was the pistachio croissant, the rest were lacking in flavor and not at all flakey. Sadly I wont be coming back to try to get the ones I had originally came for. We also got 2 lattes which again was a huge let down. They tasted like steamed milk with absolutely no espresso added.
