Best chocolate chip cookie in the SGV

New locatoin, same delectable desserts and cookies (no more opera cake, hence the name change from "Berry Opera") Still the BEST chocolate chip cookie in the San Gabriel Valley. Located inside the Arcade building.

Cute little place that makes its own pastries. Met the owner/operator who was very nice and helpful. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Berry Opera aka Oui Berry Cafe is now at the Colonnade Building Suite 101! I was really disappointed when I heard that their location on South Pasadena Fair Oaks had closed but was so excited when I found out they had just moved to the Colonnade Building on Lake Avenue in Pasadena. They still have their decadent desserts & coffee from before! See you here!!!

My Favorite Coffee! Love the Mocha. They have beautiful pastries in the cute Colonnade Building on south Lake Ave.

    Mini french desserts!

I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves it! A total little hidden gem tucked in the Colonnade Shops next to a bunch of hair salons (easy to miss). It's super nondescript from the outside, but inside is a magical display of tiny French-style pastries! We got the tiramisu, eclairs, and chouquettes (tiny cream puff dough balls so good we went back for more), plus a matcha latte and honey lavender latte. Loved every mini thing we ate, seriously some of the best desserts we've ever tasted! It's a grab and go spot, but I wish they had seating; if they opened a storefront in the Burlington Arcade, I bet there'd be a line out the door. The Korean chef was trained in Franc, and he is clearly incredibly talented. Go before everyone else finds out about this place!

SWEET POTATO CHEESECAKE: -- medium sweet toward high sweet (kind of expected) -- appealing visuals -- nice balance of cheesecake to sweet potato flavors -- creamy and softer style cheesecake like Chicago style which I greatly prefer over NYC style -- medium-large portion -- price for size is fairly priced RATING = A They have SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM flavors too which look good. This review is for the cinnamon roll only - my bf and I are in search of the best cinnamon treats…read morein LA and hearing the hype about this cinnamon roll made it a must-try on our list! First, the good: the cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy all the way through. No dry cinnamon rolls here! The service was also very friendly. The not so good: my first bite, which somehow managed to not have much icing, gave me a clear taste of the dough. It reminded me a lot of canned biscuit dough. I prefer a thicker icing, this one was quite runny and very sweet without any nuance to the flavor. Also, I really wanted to try the peach cobbler cupcakes but they didn't have any cupcakes in stock at all, only a few cake slices. We went around noon, and I hoped they would have plenty of options around that time :/ Unfortunately I've had much better cinnamon rolls elsewhere in LA. It's still tasty because, well, it's a cinnamon roll... but not sure I'll be back unless it's to try the cake or cupcakes.

Old Town Pasadena, California…read more Next to Nana's Green Tea, Delight is A very good French bakery, no breads, but Delight feeds the pastry hunger in me -- all the pastries, cakes and gelati are excellent. There is a smallish macaron counter with popular flavors and can be boxed up to bring home. The house made sandwiches (focaccia), breakfasts and lunch items are very good to excellent also and with great prices. With about 15 tables (a couple of tables for larger groups), there's a steady stream of people here and it would be a matter of time when lines will form out the door. Service is super attentive. The minute you come in the person behind the counter comes to assist. Ohhh almost forgot, savory pastries (caprese and artichoke and cheese) are super well-made and the crusts delightfully light and crispy :-) I keep coming back. End of Yelp.

The large display of pastries is sure to dazzle, and we spend a good minute looking over the multitude of offerings in the case. Service was fast and efficient, and we sat ourselves. CAPRESE DANISH: 5/5. Perfectly balanced flavors. Tomatoes were fresh and the balsamic was bright. HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT: 4/5. I know it would have been SO ood if it were warmed up and the cheese were a little melty. KOUIGN AMANN: 3/5. My favorite pastry. Perhaps a personal preference, but I wish the sugar were a little more caramelized. It also was not as rich as I am accustomed to this pastry being.

Yes, the cupcakes are as consistently yummy and moist as they are prettily decorated. Yes, the interior of the shop is clean, bright, and bursting with color. Yes, there are drinks, and savory food, and other tempting things in and behind the bakery cases. What I witnessed this morning between the shop workers and the customers gave me something to meditate on. I overheard the people in the shop talking to each other about what ultimately resulted in an act of kindness for another customer. What transpired happened over the course of a couple of minutes, but it was done so simply and quietly as to not draw much fanfare. It seems like these small acts of generosity happen regularly, and it's simply reassuring to see the goodness in people that we may not have normally noticed. I suppose there's something mystical and magical when good business owners draw in good staff and draw in good customers. Cheers, all!

They have a nice large parking space in the back as well. I went on a Sunday around 6:30 pm so it was pretty empty, which was nice. I think the bigger crowds are earlier in the day. They close at 7 pm so I just made it. Luckily they still had a few cupcakes left and plenty of the cakes left. I decided to get a slice of their old fashioned chocolate cake, and 4 cupcakes to go. I got a red velvet, a chocolate, a vanilla, and a mocha cupcake. Everything was delicious but I have to say that the old fashioned chocolate cake slice was my favorite. They give you a ginormous piece too which is nice when you have that craving. All the cakes were very moist and the buttercream was sweet but not crazy sweet which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience. I can't wait to come back again and run some of their other cakes and cupcakes!
