I finally understand the hype about this place! Although it definitely is on the pricier side, I thought it was worth it for a special treat! I loved the spinach artichoke croissant as it was so unique and they carried this flavor out excellently. The ham and cheese croissant had plentiful filling and I loved how flaky yet soft the croissant is. I usually don't like cinnamon rolls but the croissant cinnamon roll was sooo good. The icing was perfect and I loved the texture.

Clockwise: cupcake with strawberry compote, earl grey bun, ham/cheese croissant, chocolate babka, plum danish, chocolate cookie

Pasadena is truly blessed with so many bakeries, but whenever a new one opens up, the hype kind of gets out of control. I waited visiting this place out, so I'm pleased to report that on a Thursday at 9:30 am, there was basically no line. Good thing because this place is tiny and only has a couple of benches inside to sit. The servers were super efficient and polite, and all of the baked goods I ordered were top notch. I was especially impressed by the ham and cheese croissant and chocolate cookie as the croissant was soft and flaky, and the cookie was perfectly chewy. I also ordered a chai latte but wasn't super wowed by it. Next time I come, I'll get a coffee drink as I assume their coffee is better.

Came on a early Sunday morning and the line wasn't too bad but the only downside part will be the parking. About 90% of the parking spots are designated for the other establishments that are in that plaza so we just took the risk and parked in one. There's no outside parking either. The drinks were delicious and satisfying to the coffee palette. The baked goods were also delicious. I think if you really love sweets then this place is for you. We got some cookies, butter croissant, ham and cheese croissant and an apple fritter pastry. Just a taste of the apple fritter and I felt like I was on a sugar rush. I'm not much of a sweets person though. Other than that the service was extremely welcoming and the cashier was super friendly and had great customer service.

Fantastic spot for a sweet treat. Parking is a challenge. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The coffee was perfect. Go early to try an avoid the line.

Highly recommend. From the pastries to the drink, get them all! I ordered the vanilla bean latte and a chocolate croissant. It did not disappoint

I wanted to try Salted Butter because of all the social media hype, but honestly, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The pastries were good, but nothing that really impressed me or made me feel they were worth the hype. One thing to keep in mind is that some of their menu items are seasonal, so if you're driving from far away for something specific, I'd recommend calling ahead to make sure it's available. The service was good, but it wasn't especially memorable. Also, there's no seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. The biggest downside was the parking. The lot is extremely crowded, and many spaces have a strict 30-minute limit. Be careful, because it looks like towing is enforced. Overall, it was a decent experience, but for me, it wasn't anything extraordinary.

There is definitely hype around this spot but honestly I can see why. Small shop that has a decent and good looking selection of pastries and even some savories options but it seems like the quality revolves around timing and attention to detail. Lemme explain The drinks are decent but nothing I would talk about. The coffee isn't the strong point as the sweet element carries the lattes here and that's enough for a lot of people, so why not grab that tiramisu cold brew or brown butter maple latte? The pastries themselves are good but not great. The fritters have a satisfying crunch layer but if they've been sitting then the cold temp and slightly chewy bread brings it down a bit. The cookie was served to me looking ok but when I picked it up it fell apart like soft cookie lol. No heads up on waiting for it to settle but you'll notice an element of stress among the employees so I can understand. The pizza croissant (naughty knot) was actually pretty good but messy as it falls apart since puff pastry isn't meant to support melted cheese and oily pepperoni for long so fold it! It gets pretty crowded inside and there are two benches you can sit on but I think so wall mounted tables might have been better. Overall I wouldn't mind recommending a visit but it's probably worth 10 minutes of waiting for me and that's pushing it.

Stopped by for a quick snack to drink with my coffee and found this hidden gem! There were so many delicious looking pastries that I wanted to purchase, but I decided on the Best Selling Chocolate Cupcake. It was uniquely delicious. Especially the mini fruit on top! Will def be back to try out the other pastries and drinks even. Seating area is very limited.

I'd tried Salted Butter before when a friend brought me an almond croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. Both left a lasting impression, so I was excited to finally visit in person while I was in the Pasadena area. When we arrived, there was a small line out the door which we waited about 15 minutes before ordering. A friend had mentioned that you can walk in directly to order drinks only, but we decided to wait and place our entire order at once. The line first moves through the pastry display before you order drinks and pay at the register. We ordered seven pastries and one coffee which came out to about $53 including tax. While none of the new items we tried were particularly memorable, everything was enjoyable. The almond croissant and chewy chocolate chip cookie remained my favorites and were easily the standout items of the visit. The Iced Good Vanilla Bean Coffee was also yummy - flavorful without being overly sweet. One downside was the flow of the space. Drink pickups happen directly in front of the entrance, so customers often have to cut through those waiting in line for pastries. The shop itself is quite small, with only two benches available for seating, making it feel crowded during busy periods. Parking was a bit confusing. Most of the spots had signage but there appeared to be only two spaces specifically designated for Salted Butter customers.

Simple yet unique pastries and drinks. At around 2:30PM on a Tuesday, the pizza pastries JUST sold out (was told "just 20 minutes ago"), so I had to order what was left. - CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE $4.50: sooo soft, strong taste of brown sugar. Not overly sweet, even with the generous bits of chocolate chips. i like the large chunks of sea salt on top! - CROOKIE (croissant cookie) $8.00: flaky, crunch croissant, with a soft decadent cookie on top, and filled with an ooey gooey cookie batter-like center. this can easily get too heavy, but I quite enjoyed the few bites I could handle (saved the other half for the next day). worth trying at least once - Apple fritter $6.25: a cylindrical shaped fritter with ample apple chucks, and expected cinnamoniness and glaze. - Strawberry Coast $5.50: strawberry compote and coconut milk, with a bit of seltzer fizz? I was told by the cashier it would be really sweet, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting! would get again. - VANILLA BEAN LATTE $6.50: SO enjoyed! I would definitely come back, i'm itching to try their savory pastries!! recommending going on weekdays, maybe around noon. We were able to find parking right away in the lot, tho it is a bit tight

i am seriously begging the owners of salted butter to STOP allowing DOGS inside their bakery. You shouldn't allow animals in your establishment if you are going to have your pastries open behind the glass & not completely covered. I don't understand why food establishments has allowed animals inside as if people aren't allergic to dogs, as if their hairs can't float in the air and get into pastries, as if when dogs sneeze & it's all polluted in the air INSIDE THE BAKERY like ugh. i get so disgusted. sometimes people bring like 2 or 3 dogs, big or little. it's honestly really inconsiderate to other customers. people have TRULY lost the plot of what REAL animal service dog is NOT an emotional dog. this is the only negative opinion i have for salted butter. To continue, i come to salted butter every other week on Fridays for me and my co workers. i am always switching it up when it comes to their pastries however their regular cinnamon roll is absolutely top tier!! i really like the original cinnamon roll instead of the new dots cinnamon roll. the dots cinnamon roll was WAYYY too sweet. my co workers love their savory pastries. the artichoke pastry is sooo good! i like that they are coming out with more savory pastries. i looooovveeeee their banana tiramisu latte!!! i hope they keep that drink on their menu forever because it's sooo good!! their salted brown butter maple latte & the Spanish latte is also so very delicious!! i crave their matchas & lattes on a dailyyy. HOW can i order online if i only want to get lattes and not pastries.. is their an option for that? Please let me know! FYI, if you didn't know but salted butter offer rewards and if you reach a certain amount you get some discounts & freebies.

Another great bakery in Pasadena, I'm so jealous. Prior to this one there is Artisanal Goods by Car Bakery & Badash Bakes. This one is more similar to Artisanal Goods by Car. Same line you got to wait in like Car, somewhat similar offerings and price point. I had a raspberry almond croissant, and Earl grey morning bun. Both hit the spot, I'd say both had that distinct taste you're looking for of your on the hunt for unique pastries like me. I also got a coffee, the salted maple coffee. Coffee wise it's good, but if you come to Pasadena for great coffee shops you might want to stick with that. I think I prefer the coffee at Car more. The line is justified and Salted Butter made it that much harder to decide where to get pastries the next time you're in Pasadena.

Came to try this spot out for the first time. Line wasn't too bad waited about 30 minutes. Coffee was strong but I asked for it to be less sweet and it came out a bit salty lol for my liking. It's very fast paced so you can't really sit down and enjoy your pastry and coffee inside. Prince st pizza on a croissant was so delicious10/10 would recommend! Saving my cinnamon roll for later hehe.

If just ordering coffee or picking up a cake. Skip the line & go too register #2.

The bakery was on the station because of the things it was going through. First the air conditioner went out, then the water heater. It was one thing after another. So we went out to show some love and support this small business. It is located in a small shopping center with decent parking. It's a small space with display a display case and a cute little table and two chairs. My husband tried the blue velvet cake and I got a cinnamon role and a slice of 7up cake. Blue velvet was delicious..(sorry no pictures, we ate it when we got home). My 7up cake taste just like it did when I was growing up in South Central. The cinnamon roll was amazing warmed up the next day. That's right I said the next day. The owner and everyone who worked in there were super nice. My husband and the owner realized they knew a bunch of people from their time in Lynwood/Compton area both playing basketball. We had a great time, we ended up staying for about an hour. Great time, please go out and support.
