I absolutely love the music and I picked the perfect time to show up. I had to have the ultimate breakfast burrito, but there are so many different things to try here mainly the cupcakes and the coffee, but the breakfast burrito was perfect. Delicious, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, hashbrowns I'll smash stuff into one delicious burrito salsa, and the peppers were the perfect accoutrement There is a decent size parking lot, but I recommend getting here early because it's easy to see the this place is incredibly popular. They also deliver to... But if you're in a hurry, just do the prepaid order. Look them up, but I highly suggest you try at least three of the cupcakes... We tried Dots for the first time on 04/04/2026 at about 12noon, with our party of two. Although we have lived very close to Dots for over 9 years, we never actually tried it. It was, overall, a good experience. You order at the register, find a seat and then they will bring the food to you. I had both an order of the Tater Tots and the Berry Toast, which had honey, coconut, blueberries and strawberries. It was delicious. The toast was an average value and the Tater Tots were an excellent value. The cafe is decorated appropriately, and was decorated with Dodger Blue the day that we visited. It is a cozy place. Limited parking lot parking during busy times; however, there is also a lot of nearby street parking. read more

Support small business that's cupcake has been here forever they have multiple locations in the past in Pasadena but I think due to Rising costs they had to close down and this is their location that I know of they have a cafe with seating area and no one can match their signature cupcake box and it is always a nice treat we always get the Dozen Minis as gifts and my favorite is the chocolate mint and sometimes popular flavors run out beyond the watch for seasonal special flavors that they have I think two special flavors a month that they do support small businesses read more

Enjoyed brunch today. Nice atmosphere and good help. Food came out fairly fast. Decent pricing. We both enjoyed our meals. My breakfast burrito was great. The only thing lacking was a good salsa. What was served was terrible. I used hot sauce instead. Everything inside the burrito was really good. There's a fantastic green salsa at Emmi's in Sierra Madre. Go copy it. Fun and pretty cafe & bakery with neat wallpaper, ample seating, and a nice lounge area in the corner. There's a huge display of their famous cupcakes and a lovely brunch menu. We came for Saturday brunch and about half the tables were being used. There were two staff working the counter and another in the back of house I ordered the Matcha Strawberry Latte over ice - delicious, though I really had to work the straw to get the strawberry jam at the bottom to mix with the oat milk and matcha tea. I find it strange that there was a $0.50 upcharge for ice (where are we, Europe?)...sure, $1.00 to upgrade to the Large size and $0.50 to substitute animal milk for oat milk - totally reasonably, but for ice? Review would have been 5 stars, but dropped one for the ice surcharge. The Classic Breakfast Burrito was tasty - 50% scrambled egg, 25% tater tots, 20% bacon, and 5% cheese. The salsa was pretty bland, so I spiced it up with Tapatio and the picked jalapeno. I'd order it again. The Mixed Berry Toast was excellent - honey, berries, coconut flakes, and whipped cream cheese on a scrumptious toast. Refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). And the tots were tots...exactly what I expected, crunchy and yummy. Looking forward to coming again and trying other items on the menu. read more

The aesthetics of the place are cute. There are great looking cupcakes. The food may be good but what I ordered unfortunately was not. I saw salads at other tables so maybe that's what is best to order. I would not recommend the chimichurri steak sandwich. The roll it comes in was not good, not even toasted. The chimichurri salsa was very watery and more of a salsa verde. Maybe try the chilaquiles- the menu picture makes them look good. Stay away from the sandwiches tho. read more

Love dots! Yummy fancy and high quality food. I love their turkey sandwich with fresh fruits. They use really turkey meats. My husand loves their ultimate burrito, and my daughter loves their pancake. Their drinks are delicious, services are excellent. It feels like a dream coming here. I bring my friends here! I am so sad to say I had completely forgotten about this place!! Here I am a decade later and stumbled upon it again last week and thought to myself "wow have I been missing out!". Not too far from the freeway and the most delectable and adorable cupcakes and food! I ordered a breakfast sandwich deal that came with a delicious latte . What a steal I think it was $11. The most tasty brioche bread with egg, cheese, and bacon. Amazing. Picked up some delicious baby cupcakes for the fam and everyone raved about them. Dots is such an amazing cafe and bakery! They have the most delicious cupcakes - moist and not too sweet. They have mini ones perfect for kids and for adults who want a sweet treat without the guilt. Inside, the decor is beautiful. The wallpaper is gorgeous and they constantly have different balloon arches for the various holidays and occasions. The cafe has a very robust menu with plenty of healthy options. The portions are HUGE and perfect to share with another person. They offer take out meals, catered boxes, and party platters. This place is a gem and deserves to be recognized. I also, admittedly, only tried their cupcakes and not their menu so maybe I'll come back to eat there another time. But as for their cupcakes only: I agree with other reviewers in that they're cute, they're good, and that they're also nothing special. I was most impressed with the frosting (as someone who usually wipes it off) because it's thick, rich, and not overwhelmingly sweet. But the cupcake itself is okay: I tried chocolate, red velvet, and carrot cake. Red velvet was a miss, chocolate was alright, and carrot cake was the best. Awful vibes from employees here. My mom didnt even entire the store and wasn't even a customer but an employee at this cafe decided to harass my mother walking on the street. My mom wanted to pick a lemon tree on the side of the road, and an employee decided to make it her business and confront my mom just for picking a lemon tree that belongs to the city. Employee yelled at my mom and harassed her for no reason. My mom wasn't obstructing their business or anyone's day. But the employee still went out of her way to leave her cafe and walk up to my mom to harass her about a lemon. Absolutely yummy lunch at Dots cafe. They offer a menu with sandwiches, salads, and they even sell their popular cupcakes! This is a great location on Colorado/Rosemead and right off the 10 freeway! We all ordered their sandwiches and salad and it was all made very good. The food is very fresh, my fries were made perfectly crispy, and I love how my swiss cheese just pulls out. My only downside is the edges of the bread was a bit too tough for me. The lunch was a good portion. My colleagues loved their food as well and their salad was very good. Matcha latte was more milky but I finished the whole cup. The location is very clean and if you choose to dine in, then you would order first, and then staff would bring the food to you. Keep in mind lunch hours is usually very packed especially on a weekday so plan ahead :) read more

The 5 stars is first for the very friendly service. But mostly it's for their blacken chicken sandwich. I only bought it on a whim and boy and I glad that I did. It had to be the best hot sandwich that I've ever tasted. As for the cupcakes, I guess I'll grudgingly give a 4 because i felt they are much better than 3 but not even close to a 5. Really liked this place! I liked the variety of cupcakes. I was super excited to learn they do tea party boxes and tea parties there. They have parties there and regular groups. The owner was there and was very nice. They also make coffee drinks. If I came to the reviews first, seeing that is an overall 3.9 stars I don't know if I would have tried this spot and I have to say the stars don't match because I love this place. Funny thing is, this is my 3rd time ordering the cupcakes because of a customer letting me try one. She said they're known for their cupcakes for not being overly sweet, which is something that I really appreciate. I can't rate on the cafe itself because I haven't physically been there. I've had them picked up for me. But I can rate on the quality of the cupcakes and they're delicious. My goal is to try every flavor but I keep going back to my chocolate varieties. At $50, it's hard to see the value -- especially when I can buy a large, beautifully made cake from Porto's for less than that.
