This has been on my list of places to go for quite a while, but honestly I keep forgetting about it. Went for a birthday lunch with two friends, and we were all excited to try it. I ordered the Italian chopped salad and dalgona coffee, one ordered the chiliquilies with Carne Asada, and the other ordered the chicken fried steak. Both of those were on the brunch menu. The portions were huge, the food was delicious and the service was great. The inside interior is decorated so cute. Very relaxing, just really cute. They're huge dodger fans, which is fine with me. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because we were very disappointed with the cupcakes. We ordered one each after our meal, a red velvet, Carmelita, and a lemon curd. They were so dry and honestly had no flavor. I was shocked and really disappointed because I've heard amazing things about the cupcakes. The lemon curd had absolutely no lemon flavor at all in the cupcake. It was a very dry white cupcake. The Carmelita was just basically a chocolate cupcake with tiny caramel candies on top and the chocolate cupcake itself was very dry. I didn't try the red velvet, but my friend said the same. It was just very dry and planned in flavor. We will definitely be going back because the food was amazing. Probably will not order cupcakes though.

One of my favorite local cafe in Pasadena. Conveniently located next to 210 fwy entrance/exist. Love the cupcakes, it's tasty, reasonably priced, and pretty! Perfect as a gift or gatherings. They have doggie cupcakes, too, which my pups love. Inside of the cafe is clean with cute decor. Great options for breakfast and coffee.
Stopped in for a quick coffee before getting my nails done and was so happy with my experience. There was a line since it was Sunday morning but it moved efficiently. The worker was nice and friendly. I ordered a cold brew with almond milk, and it came out quickly and was really delicious. Inside has a good amount of seating and their menu was much larger than I expected, so I'll definitely be back to try some breakfast and pastries.

They also deliver to... But if you're in a hurry, just do the prepaid order. Look them up, but I highly suggest you try at least three of the cupcakes... Because that's all I can eat in one sitting lol!
Fun and pretty cafe & bakery with neat wallpaper, ample seating, and a nice lounge area in the corner. There's a huge display of their famous cupcakes and a lovely brunch menu. We came for Saturday brunch and about half the tables were being used. There were two staff working the counter and another in the back of house I ordered the Matcha Strawberry Latte over ice - delicious, though I really had to work the straw to get the strawberry jam at the bottom to mix with the oat milk and matcha tea. I find it strange that there was a $0.50 upcharge for ice (where are we, Europe?)...sure, $1.00 to upgrade to the Large size and $0.50 to substitute animal milk for oat milk - totally reasonably, but for ice? Review would have been 5 stars, but dropped one for the ice surcharge. The Classic Breakfast Burrito was tasty - 50% scrambled egg, 25% tater tots, 20% bacon, and 5% cheese. The salsa was pretty bland, so I spiced it up with Tapatio and the picked jalapeno. I'd order it again. The Mixed Berry Toast was excellent - honey, berries, coconut flakes, and whipped cream cheese on a scrumptious toast. Refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). And the tots were tots...exactly what I expected, crunchy and yummy. Looking forward to coming again and trying other items on the menu.
My go-to cupcake spot from now on! We initially came here because it's the local spot for a pup cake since it was my dog's birthday. I decided to try a cupcake for myself too! It was $4.50 for my cupcake and $2.50 for my dog's. I got their chocolate vanilla cupcake and it was the most moist cupcake I've had in a while. It's a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting on top. I thought that the frosting to cupcake ratio was perfect since the frosting doesn't completely cover the cupcake's flavor. My dog also loved his little cupcake too!
Support small business that's cupcake has been here forever they have multiple locations in the past in Pasadena but I think due to Rising costs they had to close down and this is their location that I know of they have a cafe with seating area and no one can match their signature cupcake box and it is always a nice treat we always get the Dozen Minis as gifts and my favorite is the chocolate mint and sometimes popular flavors run out beyond the watch for seasonal special flavors that they have I think two special flavors a month that they do support small businesses
if you can only get one thing, get the new york pancakes. Incredible, i will be thinking of them until i have them again.

The aesthetics of the place are cute. There are great looking cupcakes. The food may be good but what I ordered unfortunately was not. I saw salads at other tables so maybe that's what is best to order. I would not recommend the chimichurri steak sandwich. The roll it comes in was not good, not even toasted. The chimichurri salsa was very watery and more of a salsa verde. Maybe try the chilaquiles- the menu picture makes them look good. Stay away from the sandwiches tho.
Stopped by for some cupcakes! Great selection of mini and full sized cupcakes perfect for birthdays. There's also a menu of sandwiches and brunch items too. There's a small parking lot in the strip mall and can also park on the street.
06/14/26 Sunday Friend bought a box for everyone to share. We got to try three flavors: -Oreo was my favorite. Probably the least sweet of the three we tried. -Reese's was good but a little overpowering on the peanut butter side. -The coconut is way too sweet. Reminded me of an almond joy without the almond. Cake is a little dry. Frosting helps balance it out but most of them are too sweet. Like how they're small in size so you can sample multiple if you desire without feeling too heavy. Can't speak to service or ambiance since I didn't visit the store. read more

I usually love Dots. But today soured my view. I went in and picked up two red velvet cupcakes and one cinnamon roll with nuts on top. Had a nice encounter with the gentleman serving me. Couple hours later I look at my charges and I see that I have been chargedl $ 24.74. NP I will get this corrected. I had taken a bite of my cinnamon roll. Yum ate half of my red velvet cupcake. So I call when I get home to get it corrected the female who answered the phone could barely be bothered. Exchanged information correction the charge was $17 and something cents. She said is there anything else I can help you with? I was a little taken aback that there was no apology, I realize she was not the one who had helped me. But I did explain to her. This was the company she worked for, and it would have been nice to hear some sort of an apology. She told me she wasn't the one who served me. ???? OK I see the problem They don't work as a cohesive it's everyone for themselves . Disappointed.. I did take the time to rectify their mistake. I had no problem with that, but I have a problem with the last person I had to deal with. I don't feel the need to return to dots EVER!! My cupcakes were great . I will end with that. read more

I used to love their cupcake shops on Arroyo, unsure on why they closed as I haven't bought from them in a while but was recently craving their cupcakes. Parking is small in the lot, located on Colorado. The cupcakes and minis are a bit on the pricer side so just fyi. ($5 for 2 minis) read more

Dots Cafe is such a sweet little spot! Their cupcakes are absolutely yummy-soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet. What I really loved is the huge variety they offer, so there's something for everyone whether you like classic flavors or something more fun and unique. It's the perfect place to stop by when you're craving a treat or need desserts for an event. Good parking too! read more

Enjoyed brunch today. Nice atmosphere and good help. Food came out fairly fast. Decent pricing. We both enjoyed our meals. My breakfast burrito was great. The only thing lacking was a good salsa. What was served was terrible. I used hot sauce instead. Everything inside the burrito was really good. There's a fantastic green salsa at Emmi's in Sierra Madre. Go copy it. Love dots! Yummy fancy and high quality food. I love their turkey sandwich with fresh fruits. They use really turkey meats. My husand loves their ultimate burrito, and my daughter loves their pancake. Their drinks are delicious, services are excellent. It feels like a dream coming here. I bring my friends here! There is lot of parking and space inside. Great place to bring friends, and family! They open 8am and close 6pm. If you don't what to cook dinner, they have family meals under $60. read more
I am so sad to say I had completely forgotten about this place!! Here I am a decade later and stumbled upon it again last week and thought to myself "wow have I been missing out!". Not too far from the freeway and the most delectable and adorable cupcakes and food! I ordered a breakfast sandwich deal that came with a delicious latte . What a steal I think it was $11. The most tasty brioche bread with egg, cheese, and bacon. Amazing. Picked up some delicious baby cupcakes for the fam and everyone raved about them. Particularly the blueberry cheesecake and salted caramel. Yummm. I was intrigued and inspired by the meal prep options they offer including the family meal deals that come with fresh baked desserts! Dots is such an amazing cafe and bakery! They have the most delicious cupcakes - moist and not too sweet. They have mini ones perfect for kids and for adults who want a sweet treat without the guilt. Inside, the decor is beautiful. The wallpaper is gorgeous and they constantly have different balloon arches for the various holidays and occasions. The cafe has a very robust menu with plenty of healthy options. The portions are HUGE and perfect to share with another person. They offer take out meals, catered boxes, and party platters. This place is a gem and deserves to be recognized. Mamas and women, if you need a place to meet your mama friends and girlfriends, or if you want to take your child out for a mommy & me date, this place is a home run. Dots Cafe is a 10 out of 10! Absolutely yummy lunch at Dots cafe. They offer a menu with sandwiches, salads, and they even sell their popular cupcakes! This is a great location on Colorado/Rosemead and right off the 10 freeway! We all ordered their sandwiches and salad and it was all made very good. The food is very fresh, my fries were made perfectly crispy, and I love how my swiss cheese just pulls out. My only downside is the edges of the bread was a bit too tough for me. The lunch was a good portion. My colleagues loved their food as well and their salad was very good. Matcha latte was more milky but I finished the whole cup. The location is very clean and if you choose to dine in, then you would order first, and then staff would bring the food to you. Keep in mind lunch hours is usually very packed especially on a weekday so plan ahead :) read more

The 5 stars is first for the very friendly service. But mostly it's for their blacken chicken sandwich. I only bought it on a whim and boy and I glad that I did. It had to be the best hot sandwich that I've ever tasted. As for the cupcakes, I guess I'll grudgingly give a 4 because i felt they are much better than 3 but not even close to a 5. They are very very dense and I like a more light cake. The icing's are amazing and they're what makes the cupcake. read more

Really liked this place! I liked the variety of cupcakes. I was super excited to learn they do tea party boxes and tea parties there. They have parties there and regular groups. The owner was there and was very nice. They also make coffee drinks. Dots is right off the fwy and you kind of have to know it's there because it's not smack in the center of things, but it's worth checking out. The cupcakes were slightly dry in my opinion, but still good enough - and super cute. read more

What a cutie place! We came for the New York pancakes. They have cupcakes and pastries too. It was a few people in here but not a long wait. We got our drinks quickly and my sandwich came soon after. Cute spot!! Love the mini cupcakes. All kinds of flavors. I loved my tuna melt. My husband loved his breakfast burrito & my co worker friend loved her eggs, bacon breakfast. The people that ran the place were nice. They were patient while I picked flavors of cupcakes I wanted. lol It was during summer, so it was very bright and welcoming inside. Love the decorations. Lots of places to take photos. Will definitely stop by again. read more

If I came to the reviews first, seeing that is an overall 3.9 stars I don't know if I would have tried this spot and I have to say the stars don't match because I love this place. Funny thing is, this is my 3rd time ordering the cupcakes because of a customer letting me try one. She said they're known for their cupcakes for not being overly sweet, which is something that I really appreciate. I can't rate on the cafe itself because I haven't physically been there. I've had them picked up for me. But I can rate on the quality of the cupcakes and they're delicious. My goal is to try every flavor but I keep going back to my chocolate varieties. The carrot cake it really a good one. I'm not too much of a fan of the red velvet but any of the chocolate or carrot, yes and yes. I recommend this place place for a good, quality cupcake, definitely try it out. I would order them for birthdays or a special occasions because they're just so beautifully decorated and taste good. read more
