After having lunch next door, I wanted a sweet treat so I came by for a donut! My friend and I were hoping to try out their breakfast sandwiches but they were sold out by 11. There is a wide variety of sweets to pick from and everything is gluten free which is great since I'm trying to cut back on the gluten. The lady behind the counter is super kind and helpful in sharing her favorites and best sellers. I opted for the double chocolate donut and it was good! The donut itself was a bit dry but the glaze on top overall saved the donut. I know gluten free treats are often drier than normal so my expectations weren't too high. We had the chocolate chip cookie which is the best I've ever had- no joke! We also ordered the cinnamon donut, the doorbell, caramel scone and a couple of others. This shop was super high on my list as someone who's gluten free! Unfortunately it wasn't a huge hit and I don't see myself being a regular. It was a $10 drink --$12 after tip, so I tried my best to finish it but was pretty bummed. I know a few spots I could've gotten my order for better and cheaper. But now I know! I didn't want to leave without getting a pastry of some kind so I got a brownie ($6.50 I think? $7 and change after tax) and it was good. There was an aftertaste I didn't love at first but I got used to it and it was a decent size. If I had stuck to the pastries maybe I would've had a different experience. On my visit, I ordered an iced matcha latte, an iced flat white, and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately the matcha latte was disappointing, could hardly taste the matcha. Do not pass on this drink. I was feeling a bit adventurous and I decided to try out the passionfruit yuzu tonic with matcha. Both the matcha and the yuzu flavors were there, but the passionfruit was missing. It was not worth $8.00. So I would pass on this drink.
