    Parties and coffee bar
    Jill G.

Absolutely delicious!!! I do not have a reason to be gluten free, but my friend does so we came here. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but everything we ordered was so yummy. We had the chocolate chip cookie which is the best I've ever had- no joke! We also ordered the cinnamon donut, the doorbell, caramel scone and a couple of others. Some of the best pastries in the area. We ordered drinks too and they were really good. I will definitely be back and I'm bringing my non-gluten free friends, so they can spread the word. This business needs to thrive as it is some of the best I've ever eaten!

This was my first time visiting Hello You're Welcome. The service was fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved all the different antique plates they had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was not a fan of the food, but the drinks were great. For about $100 we got 3 donuts, a frittata, bacon egg sandwich, a plain egg sandwich, ice matcha and a latte. It was pricey, but expected in a downtown coffee shop. I will be back for drinks, but in my opinion the food was not worth the price tag. Cheers!

The Breakfast Sandwiches are a must try!

This is one of those rare bakeries where the Gluten Free items simply taste like delicious baked goods. The staff here are super kind and their espresso drinks and coffees are perfectly made. But, their breakfast sandwiches and pastries are the stars. And they take the time to properly warm the sandwiches so they taste like they are fresh from the oven. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store's very clean and there's a good amount of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a wonderful place for a breakfast, or a coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was amazed to learn that all their pastries and breads are Gluten Free. They all taste so delicious. I highly recommend Hello You're Welcome!

This shop was super high on my list as someone who's gluten free! Unfortunately it wasn't a huge hit and I don't see myself being a regular. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were very nice and the space was super cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I mainly came in for coffee and got an iced ganache mocha with oat milk and cold foam. To put it politely: it was bad. It didn't taste like coffee or mocha and the salted cold foam didn't help, despite my frantic stirring to try to mix it in. It was a $10 drink --$12 after tip, so I tried my best to finish it but was pretty bummed. I know a few spots I could've gotten my order for better and cheaper. But now I know! I didn't want to leave without getting a pastry of some kind so I got a brownie ($6.50 I think? $7 and change after tax) and it was good. There was an aftertaste I didn't love at first but I got used to it and it was a decent size. If I had stuck to the pastries maybe I would've had a different experience. I really appreciate a gluten free bakery and I'll probably come back to try their assortment of baked goods. I'll just grab coffee somewhere else first.

I had this place bookmarked cause another influencer recommended it a while back for having delicious vegan gf treats. On my visit, I ordered an iced matcha latte, an iced flat white, and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately the matcha latte was disappointing, could hardly taste the matcha. I ended up whisking in more matcha and adding a bit of sweetener at home, as it didn't seem like any had been added initially. The flat white tasted acidic and sour. The chocolate chip cookie, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight. Wanted to love this place but with so many bakeries and cafes in Pasadena, I'm not sure I'll be back :')

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute gluten-free bakery and coffee spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is adorable and the service was excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything here is gluten-free, which is always a huge plus. We picked up two biscuits and they were wonderful. We also tried six donuts and our favorite was the maple pecan -- definitely the standout. It's a little on the pricey side, but still a great stop if you're looking for gluten-free treats. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I just wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the space instead of grabbing everything to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Maple Matcha and a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Loaf
    Melisa A.

I went on a Sunday morning with my husband and toddler, right before heading to Vroman's. We ordered an iced maple matcha with oat milk along with a pumpkin cream cheese loaf, and both were enjoyable. The matcha was very subtle in flavor and the loaf was a bit dense, but flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the look of this coffee shop. It's super bright and bold, with a playful, grandma aesthetic. Think colorful teacups, charming plates, and details that make you want to look around while you sip your drink. It feels cheerful and well-curated, and fits right in with the Pasadena vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly enough, nothing over the top but pleasant and welcoming. One thing that really caught my eye was their pastry case. They have a beautiful selection of baked goods, and many of them appear to be gluten free, vegan, or both, which is a big plus if you are looking for lighter or more health-conscious options. Pasadena has no shortage of coffee shops and bakeries, so it can be hard for any one spot to stand out. That said, this is a great option for anyone seeking healthier treats in a feel-good space.

    Rose cardamom latte
    Ria P.

The fact they have a rose cardamom latte is so elite. I honestly think it would've been better hot, but that's on me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cute place though and will go back to try their matcha.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also barista was so nice she was telling me about how she just made a fresh batch of the rose syrup, which honestly did taste fresh!

    Wow look at those donuts

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! Being gluten free, it can be quite hard to find bakeries that fit our needs. Coming from NorCal, I visited Hello You're Welcome by a simple google search for gluten free online. I was thinking just one item- I didn't expect to come out with three items! I got the bacon biscuit, maple scone & the cherry cheesecake danish. They were all so good! None of the items I had were dry or grainy - characteristics of some gluten free items if not made the best. They were dense, moist & full of flavor. They were very attentive and even warmed up my biscuit. If I could go back, I definitely would. I highly recommend coming here!

Most of the stuff here is gluten free but that comes with a price! The donuts are pricier because they are gluten free! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is good though and the place has some small tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice set up overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't judge too much on the food because I just visited with my friend but I did not want to buy anything.

Chocolate chai and Pumpkin apple cider donut
    Megan L.

Exciting women owned business serving vegan and gluten free desserts for all to enjoy. Gave out brownie samples, fudgey and delicious! + Pumpkin Apple Cider donut ($6): fun fall flavor but didn't taste like pumpkin or apple cider, and was bit dense. Had a subtle spiced flavor (6/10) + Coconut cortado ($6): super kind and upsized this to a latte for me. The coconut milk worked well, sweet (7.5/10)

    Maple pecan donut
    Cynthia D.

Walked in around 10:45am yesterday after my eye apt down the street and decided to give it a try. They had a wonderful array of different pastries, both sweet and savory. Not pictured is the breakfast biscuit that they warmed up for me. I liked the crunch it had but it was a little too dense for me. The donut was a maple pecan donut and it was also a little too dense for my liking, I liked fluffy airy donuts. The strawberry matcha was good!

Food I was in town for a work conference and chanced upon this quaint little cafe. Was on the hunt for coffee and something sweet, so i got a brownie and an iced americano. The brownie was huge and really satisfied my craving and i loved the chocolate flavor in it and it wasn't overly sweet. The texture was nice and moist and soft. The americano i got was a light roast and the taste was really good and not overly acidic like other coffees I've had. Serive/Ambiance Once you enter, the whole vibe is just pink and nice to look at and you get that nice display of all the pastry items they offer. The staff was nice as I was ordering and until I got my order and overall a nice experience spending a few mins just chilling in this cafe.

I was a bit split on what to get because the Gui Hua latte has so many mixed reviews on Yelp. So, I went with my gut instead (and the caffeine fiend in me) and ordered the cold brew item of course. But theirs is so lovely - it was the Sicily ($6.25 - Ethiopian cold brew, orange blossom water, lemon juice, touch of raw sugar, lime zest). It drinks like a refreshing tonic BUT I love that they shake this beverage and then top it with fresh lime zest. Lovely. I also had the ham & cheese croissant and it was awesome. I was eyeing the miso kouign amann but opted out, I'll have to come back for it as well as some of their matcha options!

We should have allowed that to be our indiscretion for the day. But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by ordering. A friendly attitude goes a long way, and that was completely missing. The coffee was even more disappointing. It had almost no flavor and tasted watered down, especially for the price. I expected a quality drink, but it was bland and absolutely not worth what I paid. To make matters worse, we were told to leave the patio an hour before the shop was even closing. If the patio has different hours, that should be clearly communicated instead of asking paying customers to leave early. Overall, this was a frustrating experience. Between the unfriendly service, flavorless coffee, and being asked to leave well before closing, I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other cafés in Pasadena that offer much better coffee and treat their customers with respect.
