One of my favorite donut shops. My family has been coming to this donut shop for longer than I can remember. It's one of the most affordable options for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. I usually get 4 breakfast sandwiches, 1/2 dozen donuts, and 1-2 ice coffees and the total is around $50. The donuts are delicious and they have a wide variety of options. They always have exceptional service and try to get your food out to you as quickly as they can. They also have created a very friendly environment and as you order there is always regulars coming in an out and having conversations with the staff. I think the donuts here are comparable to most of the mom and shop places, you can get the classic donuts here, nothing different or special, but good old fashion donut. I think for a dozen plain donuts, for 14 dollars, is a but pricey. Cash only, and the staff can hurry you. I asked for a chocolate donut glazed donut, and she kept saying the maple, was chocolate... I have been eating donuts for a long time, and i know the difference between a chocolate donut and a glazed one. Im also bias, because i have been to a lot of donut shops, where the staff is super nice, like you buy a dozen, and they give you one extra or a couple donut holes, and this is not one of those shops..... I know they are family shop, but i think Pronto Donuts, or B&C Donuts in Pasadena, or Randys give you a better experience. I had taken my car to get fixed and was looking for a nearby coffee shop to wait. I walked and walked and stumbled upon this shop. I was very pleasantly surprised. They have a great variety of pastries and donuts. They were out of blueberry donuts so i tried the crumb donut. It was so fresh and delicious! I also got a cappuccino - they offer vanilla or mocha. I came here for the blueberry glazed donuts, and I was not disappointed. Never tried or even seen blueberry glaze at a mom & pop donut shop before, so I was super excited about that. They have multiple flavors of glaze that are less frequently offered, one that I saw that day was strawberry. I only tried the blueberry, though. My date just grabbed a donut that was eclair-shaped with chocolate frosting and no filling and a coffee. He noted that the chocolate glaze here is milkier than chocolate glazes elsewhere. As in not as dark, not in reference to the consistency. The coffee was good, I guess, as I didn't drink it and he finished it without commenting on it. We had a fire safety workshop at my office a few months back and our building manager bought like 6 dozen donuts for everybody. I was mostly here in a quest to satisfy my strange craving for an apple fritter, but once I was here picked up a several extra to bring to work as well. Thankfully my apple fritter pilgrimage was successful, and it was one of the most massive, juiciest, and perfectly glazed apple fritters I could've imagined. Generous glaze, succulent little apple pieces and nice crispy edges. Easily worth the short jaunt into north Pasadena, the apple fritter was everything my taste buds had ever wanted. The other donuts were solid - I'm sure some people would prefer this but I thought they were quite cakey and a bit scant on the icing. Still very fresh however and thankfully without that overly deep-fried nasty flavor. The ambiance is an old school donut shop from the early 2000s and the experience to having a donut as a kid.
