Poster's is a great donut place!! The doughs alone are nice and buttery and full of flavor! I tried the glazed donut, the croissant blt and chocolate croissant!! The croissant blt was AMAZING!!! The croissant alone has a lot of flavor and I don't usually eat croissants on their own but I could eat theirs on its own. I was actually in shock a bit by how much flavor the croissant had!! The blt sandwich as a whole was amazing the bacon had lots of flavor, the lettuce was crisp and the tomatoes were juicy!! Great sandwich! The chocolate croissant was good but it wasn't til I got toward the middle (the croissant is huge) of the croissant that I began to really taste the chocolate. The chocolate was good though. I probably wouldn't get the croissant again but if I'm in the area and have the time to stop I would definitely come back for the BLT and the glazed donuts!! Their donuts are how a donut SHOULD taste!! It is a small place with one table but it's a donut shop so no one it really going in to sit and eat anyways! let me say, posture's donuts is by far the best donuts in Pasadena! I've tried all the donut shops in my area, including Sidecar Doughnuts that are way overpriced and not nearly as tasty as the donuts that I get at Posters!!! I stop in there every day first thing in the morning to pick up my doughnut and coffee. You cannot beat the price of the donuts and coffee. There also reasonably priced they don't overcharge like some of these other places and once again I have to say they are the freshest and tastiest donuts I've had! As soon I as I walked in I was greeted by both of the women there and they were so nice and friendly. I ordered a bacon and egg breakfast croissant. It was very tasty. It also came with two donut holes. Very filling!

First off I am handicapped with a cane. My 4YO son and I go in and ask if they accept EBT because they have a big red sign out front that says "EBT OK." My son really wants a donut and juice. I proceed to be screamed at by the Asian lady in the store. She was screaming "NO EBT! NO EBT!" I told her nicely that she should take the sign down. If she does not accept EBT then it is false advertising and against the law! She screamed and cursed me and my 4YO son only wanting to buy an apple juice. What kind of person works/owns/runs a store this way?! I had enough to pay cash but refuse to spend money with anyone who mistreats me this way, acting discriminatory against disabled people. read more

My hairdresser was running late so I decided to grab a donut. I am sorry that I missed out on such moist donuts all these years. I never went here because it just did not look all that inviting. This is definitely a reason why I should not judge a book by its cover. I forgot how I usually get awesome food at numerous hole in the walls. This is not a hole in the wall. I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice assortment of beverages, sandwiches, smoothies and donuts. Since I purchased a chocolate cruller donut at 4 pm, I was not expecting a donut that was like it was freshly made. Stopped in for a standard yeast raised donut this morning, and I'm glad I did! This shop has the typical fare, and not the crazy concoctions you'll find elsewhere. That's a good thing though, because sometimes those shops suck at the basics lol. The prices are a drop in the bucket, so anyone can afford these; which is fantastic! The yeast raised donut was nearly perfect. It was the right amount of soft/pillowy on the inside, with an ever so slight crisp to the outside. The glaze didn't crack and crumble, and added the right amount of sweetness. It is definitely worth stopping by if you're a local or passing through. Those who are comparing this place to Krispy Kreme do not know what good donuts are. While it may not look very elegant from the outside, the product is grade A. The donuts are big, fresh, and have a great texture. The inside is soft and the glaze is never over powering. You have to get the crumb donut!!! Best crumb around. Seriously. I've also tried a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant (big!) and it was pretty good. Real egg and bacon! No nasty microwave crap. This place has been around forever and the workers are always very nice. They really know what they're doing with these donuts. And they have a great selection! I've tried other donuts in the area but it's just not the same. The texture is too dense, or it's too sweet, or the crumb on the crumb donuts is too coarse. They're alright, but just don't compare to Poster's. I recommend bringing cash. Avoid the credit card fee. It's only a few bucks anyways! read more

Should've read the reviews before I came in to get my fix--halfway through the ham & cheese croissant I questioned whether I got the right one, which I did, but there was just almost no ham and cheese in it. I had to get three dozen donuts for our office to give the employees a little something-something to tie them down until we had a catered lunch later in the day. Before I showed up to Poster's I called them the day before to ask about pricing, as I had a budget to adhere to. We showed up the next morning and the lady behind the counter sounded like the same women I spoke to the day before (she works a lot of hours!). She helped us pick assorted donuts and it was priced at $8/Dozen. We bought three dozen and took them to our office. As I opened up the boxes in our lunchroom I could smell the freshness of the assorted flavors. I personally tried a Chocolate Bar Donut and I have to say, the flavor was on point and the moisture level was pretty much perfect. I'm glad that this place is close by my work because it's pretty nice to find a donut place that can satisfy that not-so-good fatty food craving we all love to munch on. I came here a week ago for the first time for donuts. The gentlemen behind the counter was very helpful and offered to try the bagel with cream cheese for $1.50. I did & it was great. I came back the following week to enjoy another bagel when it was a woman behind the counter this time. She came off rude grabbing a bag and waiting for me to order donits, when i said id like to have a bagel, she flipped grabbed the bagel, put in toaster and rang me me up at $4.75. Maybe its just that I live closer to downtown L.A. or maybe I just haven't been lucky, but I was surprised to read that Poster's is considered expensive. They are pretty standardly priced compared to the places in K-Town that I frequent. I was actually extremely pleased with the selection and the taste here. They had a whole shelf of round cake donuts including chocolate with rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, plain, frosted, coconut etc. I didn't go in that early either. Around noon actually. Their other selections were also fully stocked and included bear claws, fritters, bars, twists, old fashioned, buttermilks, etc. All the usual suspects. The most important part was their taste. They were extremely fresh. It was later in their morning, they had been open for hours and usually donuts just sit there and get stale pretty fast. These were still VERY moist. If you like cake donuts like me, their orange frosted donut is killer. The orange ones, not the pink ones, are actually becoming rather rare. They are my favorite so now I know where to find them! The service was friendly and polite, the store was impeccably clean, the donuts were fresh and sooooooo tasty and really made me happy. read more

Donuts. Being born in Atlanta, Krispy Kreme is just as much a part of my blood as the plasma and hemoglobin and all that other junk in there. My first school field trip was to a Krispy Kreme! All that being said, Poster's Donuts is about the best donut shop I've ever been to. First and foremost, this donut place is in walking distance of our home. Many a times have we walked over there to justify having the fat and sugar content of these wonderful puffy fluffy doughballs. They have the softest, most fresh donuts ALWAYS. They open at 4 am (I think...well, at least that's the earliest we've moseyed on over there) and they're open well into the evening judging by the lights on after dark. Farmer's Brothers coffee (which is only the best coffee to ever grace this earth) is the brand that they serve here (complete with cold milk out of the fridge or Altadena non-dairy LIQUID creamer for all you lactose-intolerant folks like myself). 3.5 Stars. Prettay prettay solid place for getting fueled on donuts and coffee. Classic Farmer Bros. donut shop coffee - those Keurig brand k-cups claiming to be "donut shop coffee" are nowhere near the donut shop coffee real deal. They still make old fashioned and french cruller. If you heat up glazed donuts in the microwave it's pretty much Krispy Kreme and practically melts on your fingers when you tear it apart. The one item I don't recommend that I've had is the ham and cheese croissant which is more like a croissant sandwich not a ham and cheese croissant. Compared to the donut shop further West on Foothill (don't remember the name) and really most others, I have never come across such a ham and cheese croissant. The other review with photo of the h and c croissant is accurate; took long but the croissant was ready and they just cut it and filled it with one slice of each if that and heat it up in the microwave. Most other places who sell more ham and cheese croissants (probably because they're actually good) bake the croissant with the ham and cheese filled but always depends on the hour you go. Maybe they're not like this in the early AM idk. Might as well just buy your own ham and cheese and croissants/dough at that point. I understand profits need to be made but they also need to actually be earned - you're not selling any more croissants if they're not good so why bother compromising your product to the point no one wants to buy it because it's not made well? I feel like they don't worry about improving their croissant because it's not selling but that's backward thinking since they're not selling because it's obvious they give little care to improving it. They also leave a little bit too much room in your coffee like 70% coffee 30% room too much. Which to me was yet another attempt to save money at the customer/product's expense and made me not want to come back. read more

The donuts here were a little stale, but I suppose that's what you get for going to a donut shop at 6 pm. Taste was... meh. This is no Krispy Kreme. On my way home from work, my wife asked me to pick up a few donuts for our son who was sick. I knew this shop was close to our house, so I stopped in for the first time. It was around 6 pm. The hours on the door noted they were open until 9 pm. When I entered, the salesgirl was talking on her mobile phone. She greeted me still wearing her bluetooth headset. The donut selection was limited and they didn't really look that fresh, but because it was late in the day, I settled. I chose enough donuts for my order to total $5.00. To pay, I offered my debit/credit card and was informed that there would be an additional $.75 charge to use my card. That's a hefty fee for a $5.00 order. I refused and asked the cashier to show me a sign anywhere in the store that announced this policy. There wasn't one. I had three dollars in my wallet. I went back to my car and scraped up the remaining $2.00. I won't be going back there. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Yes, they were nice, but they move like a snail. Spent 10 mins in here waiting for a ham n cheese croissant, small coffee, and maple bar (and there was no line).
