Great local donut place and I've been coming here for decades. The owners always welcome you with a smile and they are very welcoming. Donuts are donuts to me so I don't have too much of a say on quality, but they are delicious. The coffee isn't too hot so its one of those that are ready to drink as soon as you leave the store. I really wanted to support this family business but they seem to be just phoning it in. Lackluster customer service. We came in the morning when donuts should be fresh, excited to grab donuts since it'd been awhile. Came home and the dough was old, dense, no flavor. The apple fritter was mostly sugar, no apple. They couldn't even get the basics right, like a chocolate glaze. We got 6 donuts and threw 4 of them out. What a disappointment. AND these donuts were not inexpensive as compared to other shops. I stumbled upon this donut shop while I was nearby. They have a parking lot. Easy parking. I tried the crumble donut and there are so many choices. It looked like a small random donut shop but what a pleasant surprise -- the donut was soft and not dry. It tasted delicious and very fresh. They have some indoor seating and some outdoor seating. Classic, delicious, amazing donuts. Sometimes I stop for a donut and a Thai tea, other times it's to order dozens of dozens for work. (Note, if you're ordering more than a couple dozen to stop by a few days before.) Always fresh, always delicious. They're glazed by hand, not machine. read more

I have been to this business around 5 times and it's clear to me now that it's not one worth visiting. The donuts are decent but not delicious. Twice I have been fortunate enough to interact with two kind employees. However, the three other times, I have had to interact with the older woman who may be the owner. Each time she has been very rude during our interactions. It's such a quick exchange so it surprises me how unwelcome she has made me feel each visit. And I'm someone who expects very little from employees at these type of businesses. At the end of the day, they put donuts of different types on the same tray. It can be difficult to see the ones at the back of the tray because of the poor lighting inside the cabinets. Today, I asked if the donut I picked out from the back was the only one of its kind they had. Instead of just saying they didn't have any more, she stopped, placed her hands on her hips and glared at me directly before confirming no others were left. It's clear that I am not the type of customer she wants, so I will no longer be visiting this business. read more

The donuts are very good and not soggy or dry. I come here maybe once a month and get donuts. I think they hired a new cashier and he needs a little assistance but the owner is very nice and the price is pretty good. They dont have bathrooms cause its a small building but these are some pretty good donuts. read more

I had the same experience as Christine: I came in to pick up 2 dozen donuts for a class of first graders, and I asked if we could have mostly cake donuts/sprinkle donuts...I was told these needed to be "saved" for other customers and that I should have ordered ahead. He went straight past the cake donuts and started packing a box with glazed donuts (which kids mostly don't eat). I told him I would go need to purchase elsewhere and left. No one wants to pay $17 for a dozen glazed donuts. For that price, they should let you have some say...and not pack you up with donuts that won't be eaten. My favorite is their white coconut cake donut it's mild coconut flavor and always moist cake. They're usually sold out. You have to get there at the right time for the delicious coconut donut. I've driven by this shop several times and always meant to stop by. A friend told me they go there from time to time on Saturday mornings, so I followed suit and tried it out last weekend. Prices were a rip off considering the quality and service. The doughnuts were awful. Bland and like 2 day old leftovers. The lady behind the counter was not friendly at all and obviously did not want to be there or serve me. I was charged a credit card fee even though I spent plenty of money. If I'm paying $18 for a dozen doughnuts, I expect them to be fairly decent. What is up with the unwarranted and insane prices for mediocre goods these days?! Consumers need to band together and demand better prices and services through the power of our hard earned dollar. I'd rather drive to Donut Man in Glendora and pay another $10 plus fuel for amazing donuts. Won't be back to waste my money at Sierra Doughnuts. read more

Bad service and not clean. I came here with my baby, waited until I was in front of the display, then I asked two questions about the donuts, one of which was just the cost. The lady got impatient and started to take the order from the person behind me. I was flabbergasted how rude a shop owner or worker could be. The young man behind the counter tried to rescue the situation by helping me out after. I was going to buy two dozen but left with one donut because I was so upset. This is extremely distressing to do to a new mom. The worse thing was I saw the lady wiping her nose with the back of her hand and continue serving donuts. Gross. I was buying donuts for a children's camp at St Rita's in Sierra Madre and she literally told me she had to save "the cake donuts" (which kids love) for other customers. I've noticed regulars there, and during the pandemic, gathering in their cars in the parking lot. Oddly, this the only donut shop in the immediate area. So it looks like they have the donut market cornered. Yes the donuts are good, but a basic selection. If you're looking for glazed donuts they will certainly have that. However they do not have the delightful french cruller. The cornerstone donut of any respectable shop. The service is hit or miss in my opinion. The gentleman is always happy and friendly. The lady is is the complete opposite. As I mentioned in the beginning. We have been going here for a week because me daughters school is nearby. I was a little skeptical about going because all the bad reviews. But all the food is so good. Family run doughnut place, saw the kids doing a super job running the counter and helping other customers. Fast and courteous service. With plenty of doughnuts to choose from, I was able to have my favorite doughnut for breakfast: chocolate covered custard filled. It was fresh and super soft, I should have gotten milk to help wash down the sweetness.
