Delightful! Ya know how some pastries just look pretty but disappoint on the taste side? Not at Delight Pastry. I got the almond croissant, at the end of the day no less, and it was amazing. The lamination was so impressive (she said like Pru and Paul ) and my oat milk decaf cappuccino was great. Thank you yelp, I was in the Pasadena area and wanted a lil sweet treat. And I just looked to see the closest to my location and wow wow wow! Lady at the register was super kind and patient. I never get 3 pastries, they looked so good that I couldn't help it. All three were ahhhmazing! The beautiful shaped palmier, that's the best one I've ever had. Next, my favorite treat I crave often, Pain aux Raisin (spiral shaped croissant with raisins and alil cream) wish I would have had a hot coffee to my compliment it and finally a Nutella croissant, all deliiisshh! It's a very cute little pastry shop and welcoming. Parking in this part of Pasadena can be challenging but there's street parking and several garages nearby. I came in the late afternoon which is prob not the best time of day for pastries but I am not a morning person. I had this place bookmarked because I had seen so many viral videos of the spiral croissant and saw that this place makes them. Sadly I don't know if it's because it was late in the day but the pistachio spiral croissant didn't taste fresh and the cream did not have a prominent pistachio taste I expected. I happened to also a get an ube croissant and this one was much better. However at $7/avg for a pastry I expect much better quality and it seems like this spot is more for aesthetics than anything. read more

Sadly Delight was a pretty big let down for me. I have been looking forward to coming here for over a month after seeing pictures of all the beautiful pastries they have made. This was the first breakfast stop on our vacation and I was most excited for the rolled croissants and the chocolate dipped flavored croissants. Upon walking in my first impression of Delight was that the shop was adorable and loved the decor and the seating area scheme, very good job there. The woman working behind the counter was extremely unfriendly and looked as though we were interrupting her setting up the pastries in the case. We came at 8:30, which was a half hour after they had opened. Honestly every other bakery I have been too the cases are fully stocked and ready to go before they even unlock the doors.. We asked the woman if they would be putting out the rolled croissants and the dipped croissants soon as this is the main thing we came here for. She responded that they would not be getting put out until 9:30 or 10! That was a pretty big let down for me but we were here to stock up on breakfast so chose a chose from what was available. Honestly for how much hype this place had the pastries were not all that great. The only one I really enjoyed was the pistachio croissant, the rest were lacking in flavor and not at all flakey. Sadly I wont be coming back to try to get the ones I had originally came for. We also got 2 lattes which again was a huge let down. They tasted like steamed milk with absolutely no espresso added. We ended up tossing them and getting coffee elsewhere. Overall the place is super cute, but needs some serious help in customer service and preparedness. I came here and got the pistachio matcha croissant and it was really good. I had a bit of it the first day I bought it and brought the other half to work the next day and it was still fresh and full of flavor. What an amazing discovery! It's like you have stepped into a Parisian Patisserie. They don't serve decaf but that's alright you can go without or see if they have a tea that has no caffeine. I ordered the Rose Pistachio Mousse it was light and heavenly with a raspberry center. All of their deserts looked wonderful and they also have these tiny little fans above them so that no pesky flying insects touch their beautiful creations. Nice relaxing interiors, modern trending music can be overheard and comfortable seating. Parking garage (presently $10.00) across the street or you can try for street parking... We popped in after breakfast one day and decided on one of the circular croissants. The employee told us the pistachio one was more popular, but she recommended the chocolate. We're so happy we were with her rec! Since we were too full from breakfast, we took the chocolate croissant to go and had it for dessert almost 12 hours later. The croissant held up remarkably well and was still crisp on the outside. I was pleasantly surprised at how much chocolate cream there was on the inside, and the flavor was perfect! This is a super cute bakery right off of the main Colorado stretch in Old Town Pasadena. I was so surprised by how big it was inside and the fact that they even have free Wi-Fi if you want to sit down and get some work done. They open early and have coffee in addition to their baked goods so it's a perfect place to catch up with friends or sit down for a little bit. The only thing is it's a bit hard to find parking in the area and generally an additional cost. My rating is mainly because of my experienced. After having Kbbq next door for dinner with friends, we decided to check this place out since it looked cute and we wanted to have coffee and dessert. We were seating at the very corner and to our surprised, she did that. It was dark and we fall find it VERY UNPROFFFESSIONAL AND RUDE TO TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT. I get it she want to leave but she could have atleast waited for 5 mins because she still has to clean up anyways. I think this gurl that was on duty on Saturday night, 2/15/25 and did the closing need to be re-trained in how to provide a good customer service. Sadly, due to what we experience, we are no longer coming back to this place. That girl was just RUDE. On the side note. We moved to Boba ChaCha accross the street and we just witnessed what is the real great customer service is, they actually closed at 10pm and they turned off their menu (TV) but we noticed that people kept coming in ordering from the kiosk and even sat in the chairs and the girl there even tookd their orders still and guess what she decided to just kept open so she turned their TV menu back on. I find myself walking in Old Town Pasadena on a regular basis. I happened upon this lovely place. I enjoyed my coffee and the great, fresh tasting turkey sandwich. I have since been back several times, and with other people. We have all had no complaints. One person especially enjoyed the Chai Latte, and Lox with Croissant. I tried the Jalapeno Cheddar Scone and the Matcha Pistachio Croissant. Both were delish! I also tried a cup of Jasmine Blossom Tea, I really, really like hot tea... and this tea hit the spot!! The Pistachio Croissant was buttery and flaky. The Jalapeno Cheddar Scone was good, but i was hoping for a more spicy taste since it had jalapeños in it. We were around the Pasadena area looking for a cafe, and this spot popped up. This is in old town Pasadena, so we resorted to street parking. Once you enter the restaurant, the inside is actually quite large. They have their pastries and cakes displayed at the counter. Service was quick and prompt. We got their lychee and rose croissant and their circular croissant along with another bite sized dessert to share. I think the bread was a little stale, but the taste was still good. Met here with a friend before hopping on a flight. Smack dab in the middle of historic downtown Pasadena! It was a great place to grab a cup of coffee. We were greeted warmly and helped right away. Their cafe is awash with blush pink, creams and pastels accented with white and gold. Delicious coffee, beautifully made. Delight pastry has been one of my bookmarked locations for a while now and I finally got to check it out this past Saturday morning. There was only one group of customers here so I was able to order my pastries quickly. I got the rose lychee croissant, the swirl croissant with chocolate cream, the matcha pistachio croissant, and the ham and cheese croissant. - rose lychee croissant: 3/5 beautiful pink color and a subtle floral taste. I couldn't really taste the lychee much, which I was looking forward to. - swirl croissant with chocolate cream: 4/5 the chocolate cream was rich and decadent, and I enjoyed the toffee bits on top. This tasted better warmed up, and I wished the bakery would have offered this option. - matcha pistachio croissant: 4.5/5 I love the matcha filling in here! Again, would've been better warmed up, but the flavor combination makes up for it. - Ham and cheese croissant: 5/5 this was the star of the show for me! I love the mustard inside, which creates a nice contrast with the rest of the filling. I would definitely get this again! Overall, I'm glad I got to check out this place! I was really impressed with the black sesame tahini croissant! Not only was it visually stunning, it also had a nicely balanced flavor profile and beautifully crispy texture. I also got a pain suisse, which was pretty tasty, but too dense on the inside. I was really hoping to see thinner laminations. Stylistically, this bakery reminded me a lot of Artelice. They had very similar types of offerings, ranging from cakes to pastries. One difference was that they had a number of beautifully decorated whole cakes, but none were offered by the slice. The individual cakes were mostly different flavors but also looked delicious. Being situated in old town Pasadena, the parking situation is definitely a challenge. There were no spots directly in front of the bakery but I managed to find metered parking a few blocks away. read more

I returned to experience their pre-Thanksgiving pie sampling event. For $10, I got to sample 6 different desserts and had a choice of complimentary hot tea or hot coffee. The mini-desserts were beautifully presented in a teak plate and the interior as I mentioned in my last review was beautiful, clean, modern and super cute. My favorites out of the 6 dessert samples were: pecan pie, chocolate mousse pie, pumpkin pie and the fruit tart! Sarah, one of the owners was so friendly and generous . She explained to me that guests can have unlimited samplings and even take the leftovers to-go! She and her mom opened this lovely bakery, offering high-quality pastries and desserts. What a charming and powerful mother/daughter team! I love their story. I could not have not been more happy with the addition of this relatively new bakery in old-town Pasadena. Even though I didn't get to sample this item, it was displayed with all the other desserts sampled and I was intrigued. I pre-ordered a pear almond tart for Thanksgiving. I'm super excited to try it! Parking was a bit of a hassle. We found a structure that was $4 for 20 mins but by the time we got back, it charged us 15 -___- not a fan of that. There's street meters but they only take coins. Found another structure charging $1 or so when we left. Definitely going to look for that one next time! Inside was open, simple yet beautiful and so clean. The color was gorgeous and soft inside Chocolate croissant - 4/5 only because it had way too much chocolate filling inside for my liking. I wish it was more spaced out so each bite was evenly enjoyable. Instead, I had some bare croissant and then a bit of explosive chocolate goodness (probably not the worst problem to have lol) Macaroons - don't remember the flavor. For sure pistachio and the pink one was chocolate earl grey I think? I rate pistachio 3/5. It was tasty but tasted more like French vanilla ice cream from baskin robins lol. The chocolate earl grey was a 4/5 for me because the texture was spot on and so delectable Everything here looked aesthetically pleasing and had a flavor to match. Delight Pastry has been popping up on my Yelp activity feed lately, so I decided to pay them a visit. After seeing their logo I'm certain I've had their delicious treats at some events. Delight Pastry is owned by a mother & daughter duo - Lily Azar (Pastry Chef) & Sarah Hashemi. Iranian born Lily makes everything from scratch with organic & locally sourced ingredients. Her creations often feature flavors that are prominent in Persian cuisine. The shop is adorable - emitting a warm & cozy vibe. There are plenty of places to sit, relax, and snap IG worthy photos. Everything in the case was aesthetically pleasing. However, I was curious to try the Spiral Croissant - a crispy, circular, swirled croissant filled with pastry cream. Lily dedicated a lot of time and research into perfecting these complex baked delicacies and she definitely succeeded. The gentleman behind the counter was so nice and helpful. I ordered the Maple Pecan. It was golden brown with lots of flaky layers topped with a little bit of icing and toasted pecans. The outer edge was crispy giving way to a soft & chewy center. Hidden inside was a Maple pastry cream. It was slightly sweet and a delightful surprise. The toasted pecans also added a nice flavor. I could taste the quality in every bite. Lattes and brunch items are also available in addition to custom cakes for any occasion.
