You come here for the experience, not the food so make sure you lean into the vibes--otherwise, it's just not that fun. The cups and decor is minimal but cute. I liked the plates and the star cups, though the star cups are very impractical to drink out of without a straw. Honestly, the food is much too overpriced for the quality. The katsu rice was dry and tasted too instant for me. The maid service leaves much to be desired as you really just say their magic spell before you eat to make sure it is delicious. It was cute but that was the most interactive experience you get. You can take chekis (photo) with the maid which are pretty reasonably priced, but they can only accommodate (when we asked) a party of 5 in one large photo.

We got the deluxe food combo with the oden udon, Santa parfait, and s'mores latte. It was cute and I got to chat with the maid about gatcha games and more. I got serviced by a nonbinary maid and they understood how I wanted be addressed in a nonbinary way. The ambiance was fun. I've never gotten to go to a maid cafe before this.

Asayoru is my favorite socal maid cafe and I've been to a few similarly themed maid pop ups and permanent cafes both in the LA area and in Japan and Asayoru definitely lives up to service you receive abroad. Staffing, food and outfits are where Asayoru excels. For a kitschy themed café the food is pretty decent and the parfaits are delicious. The maids are kind and entertaining, vibes are good. The only thing I would hope they improve on is decor, which is a little plain and the chairs are uncomfortable. The desk like tables, lack of sunlight and the bright overhead lighting makes you feel like you're in the waiting room of urgent care. Parking is free and there's a large lot connected to the building.

The food was fine, only small bites were available at our visit (probably understaffed at the time) so theres not to much to judge on and my group enjoyed our drinks and dessert, they even draw little designs on the dessert! The service here was really good, we went for our friends birthday and they gave us a little scoop of icecream. Our maid Saiki was really fun and nice! The performances and services were a little pricy but thats to be expected for a themed based cafe where the focus is on the maids. Only issue that set us off is that we were a group of teenage girls + our little gay friend and the whole cafe was filled with men with questionable hairlines and of a certain well personality for most of our visit. It was clear we were not the regular audience and it made us feel a little uneasy towards later in the night. Some reviews claimed that the maids didnt meaningfully interact with them but maybe when reading those reviews consider who these people might be, because theres a no touching maids rule for a reason...

You don't need to travel to Japan to go to the closest and cutest maid cafe, you just have to take a trip to Monterey Park My sisters took me for my birthday and it's an experience that's stayed with me, I can't wait to take my daughter for hers! The egg salad sando I had was in the simple side, but the drinks and desserts were so delicious and absolutely adorable! The service is unlike any other, Maid Poyo took incredible care of us and made sure we had a sweet and memorable time. There are different entertainment options you can choose from, you will never be bored in this setting, only delighted! Check out ASAYORU Maid Cafe and I can't wait to go back next month!

You generally go to maid cafes to interact with the maids but the food here is genuinely delicious and comparable to (and often better than) conventional restaurants. I especially love the meteor conquest and mentaichan udon dishes. And of course the cute maids and magic spells bring a slice of Akihabara to LA. Very authentic!

All the maids are cute, the ambiance is nice, we got the service treatment we wanted. The food and drink were fair for a maid cafe, but be wary, there are specific times for specific things!! I thought I'd be able to get some foods but they were Dinnertime only! Be sure you know when you're going and what they offer because if differs often I think with events as well!

HAPPY 2000th REVIEW! In honor of this milestone, I have to give an updated review on MY FAV BUSINESS & 2023 SERVIES BEST FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF WINNER, ASAYORU MAID CAFÉ! Just in time too because they moved to their new physical location in MPK. As I'm writing this they'll still be in soft opening (hehe, my 1st review for them was also during this phase), but they'll be having their grand opening soon! You can see from driving past how absolutely CUTE everything from their window & door displays facing the street featuring their café mascots. Everything is themed so very nicely (I'm a huge sucker for this) from the water cups, the interior windows, the amazing new stage that they have, & even the restrooms! I gotta say, their restroom is cutest in all of SGV! They have more hours & days open now. You can have your dose of moe in the morning or at night! They have a morning, "Asa", shift where it's more chill & relaxing & the maids wear their elegant long maid uniforms. There is an hour break & then they open for their evening/night "Yoru" shift where the maids don their iconic fits. Events, performances, etc. generally occur during this time period! From the start you are welcomed in through their magical door via casting a spell & the maids welcome you home. There is counter seating & table seating available. If it's your first time there, there is a discount! Just make sure to let the maids know! You can also ask for the maid menu to see which maids are on shift that day, what their special performances are, & to help you choose who to take your cheki (commemorative, hand decorated Polaroid photo) with. They also have one shot cheki where it's only the maid if you're not one for photos as well. When you're ready to leave, the maids will say their "see you soon's" to you as well. From their menu, you can choose a wide array of entrée, appetizer, drinks, & dessert dishes, but it's highly recommended to get a combo since it comes with a cheki. Make sure to order something with the little Kon star next to it for some maid magic where a maid can hand draw some chocolate or ketchup art on your dish or you can help cast a super special spell on your food! Definitely makes the experience much more fun. I've tried a good chunk of what's available on their menu thus far, but since it's soft opening, it's only a matter of time before we'll get even more! I also have to say that the food is a big improvement on when they had to share a venue space. Portions are MUCH bigger, & everything is quite tasty. Deluxe combos come with a side of salad or soup (the miso soup is pretty good), the curry now comes with an extra little bowl with more curry (with potato & carrots), the pieces of karaage are quite large, the parfaits now have coconut whipped cream & the Matcha Meido & Mango Sorbet ones come with a cute little laminated decoration you can take with you as well. Alright, now if you are not a normie visiting for the first time or a casual, or maybe you became hooked after your 1st visit, & want to dive more into the world of maid cafes, you MUST open a FREE membership with them. This is all done digitally & with each visit you can work your way to upgraded membership levels that come with new added rewards & benefits! NEXT, you HAVE to go to one of their events. Either make a reservation for their non-ticketed event day or make sure to book your ticket for an event that requires one. For ticketed events, there's usually a special themed drink & dessert. These ticketed events also come with goodies such as a stamp sticker for your Asayoru passport (if you collect 4 you get one for free!), a button, signed bromide, & much more. Events have special performances, maids may have different outfits/accessories, & there's usually some event limited merchandise too. Follow them on social media to get these updates as some of the events & goods sell out quite quickly! NOW, I hate that I have to put this disclaimer but due to some cringe individuals, I gotta. I ALWAYS speak highly & share how amazing Asayoru is to everyone, & especially during my con panels to the community, but I always put in a caveat of making sure to make a reservation & to be wary that they do get busy some days. On those busier days, there will be a wait. Either use that time to catch up & hang out with your party or idk go play a mobage or something. The maids are always doing their best & if you're malding about that, then maybe you're just a big baby!! Asayoru Maid Café is truly a passion project & manifestation of the love, effort, & dreams of all the maids & staff involved. From the merch, artwork, designs, small details that go into the decor, everything is done by the maids if not credited to anyone else. That is insane! Immensely admirable & inspiring to see their journey from the start, present, & into the future! Absolute MUST for any anime fan & even if you aren't, you gotta try it at least once!

I love Asayoru Maid Cafe! This is my second time visiting, but my first time at their new home on N Atlantic Blvd. It was a little confusing finding this place at first because Google Maps kept directing me to their old location. However, I received an email from them to redirect us. I attended the Azure Lane collab event. The cafe was decorated so nicely and I loved the bunny costumes. I honestly don't play Azur Lane, but I'm a bunny girl for life. The themed food looked great and the taste was alright. My pasta tasted a bit bland. Although, it was fun having the maids decorate my plate. I also added a picture of my friend's burger because our maid was so funny when he asked her to draw a meme. I love the drinks, but I really just come here for the entertainment. If you want your food to be extra tasty then just make sure to cast the magical spell, "moe moe kyuuuuun"!!! The maids are very hospitable and fun. (Shoutout to Latte and Riri!) The head maid was an excellent hostess for the event. I really enjoyed the dances and interactive aspect. I went home with a lot of Azur Lane goodies too. They had a lot of items to purchase as well. I'm looking forward to coming back home. (´`Ʃƪ)

So cute, great service, and the food and drinks are so good!! The chekis are so cute to have! Maid Riri is one of my favorite maids she makes everything fun and the conversation with her are so great to have.

I've been to Asayoru Maid Cafe a couple of times, and I really enjoy the ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. It can be a little intimidating to visit a maid cafe at first since there's a specific process for ordering and receiving food and services, but the maids are very sweet and take the time to explain everything to newcomers. Parking is easy--there's free parking available in the plaza's parking structure. The hours are straightforward: Asa (morning) runs from 11am-3pm, which feels like a cozy lunchtime vibe, and Yoru (night) runs from 5pm-9pm, more like a dinner hangout. Each time slot has its own unique vibe and menu, but the same cute and thoughtful service. Personally, I like coming in the morning because it feels more like a traditional cafe, complete with cute background music. I can even bring my laptop to work or a notebook to journal. The maids are super friendly--even when I don't know what to say, they're always kind and welcoming. At night you can see the maids sing and dance, and sometimes they even have amazing collabs! The food is typical cafe entrees, but I recently had their caprese sandwich and it was delicious! Of course, the main highlight is really the service and ambiance. I'd highly recommend visiting--whether you're going solo or with a group of friends. Moe, moe, kyun~!

Me and bf talked about dining at a maid cafe for shits and giggles. Bf is a normie and I am a weeb. We've heard about Asayoru being at Barcadia initially before relocating in MPK at the Atlantic Time Square plaza. We didn't really know what to expect since it was our first time ever giving this place a go. The experience is superrrrr kawaii! Staff are always in character and really fun to interact with. They draw cute little things on your food and tailor it to your experience. Sae, Poyo, and Latte were there for the day. Ended up getting a cheki with Latte since we interacted with her the most. While the food didn't wow me, the overall experience and hospitality is super fun. I got a mango green tea with star jellies and surprisingly it wasn't too sweet. Latte gave us some lore about Kon and their maid mascot Milky. Everything is so brightly lit and nicely decorated! There's additional things you can order like games or requesting for a performance. There were even people studying and have their favs they interact with the most. You can defo tell who the regs are lol. This is a really unique experience to try and sgv is blessed to have a gem like Asayoru. They really do know their demographic and their niche. I'm returning since I haven't tried their desserts yet, but my bigger weeb sister is coming with me. Moe moe kyun :3

We were served by a wonderful Caucasian maid, and we also noticed a cute Korean maid taking care of some other tables--the whole staff was super friendly and really added to the charming, positive vibe of the cafe. One thing that really stood out to me was their retail section. They have a surprisingly solid selection of Japanese trading card games like Weiss Schwarz, Hololive, and Pokémon, alongside some manga. It's an awesome touch if you're a fan of the hobby or just want something interesting to browse while waiting for your order. As for the food, I had to try the classic maid cafe staple: the omurice. I ordered the curry omurice, complete with the signature cute ketchup art drawn right on the egg. It was hearty, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. We also tried a couple of their specialty iced espresso drinks, including the tiramisu latte. They were topped generously with whipped cream and tasty crumbles. The drinks are definitely on the richer, sweeter side, making them feel like a dessert in themselves. If you're into Japanese gaming and anime culture, or just looking for a cafe experience that's a bit out of the ordinary with fantastic service and indulgent drinks, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

(Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card. Also, the location has about eight interior tables, so there's a real possibility that you might not even find inside dine-in seating due to the crazy popularity. I arrived near opening time, and the line to the counter took about 45 minutes. The line didn't even shrink when I'd left.) I arrived at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) on Sunday (around 11:08AM). There was a very long line upon arrival. They had a security guard to monitor everyone, so I felt safe. Parking is difficult since it's Los Angeles. Street Parking was very hard to find, so I parked at the nearby Parking Structure (Sho Tokyo Garage - $15 Flat Rate on Sat or Sun). It's a short two minute walk to the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). Staff is professional and polite. Staff worked hard despite the HUGE line of customers. It took about 45 minutes to reach the counter. And my food was completed within 14 minutes. I was lucky enough to find an open table inside. As mentioned, I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). This burger is definitely a fun spectacle, but it was also a fairly dry & overcooked burger. It was presented lovingly on a bed of crisp, well-seasoned fries. At the very least, it's HUGE!! I had plenty of leftovers. However, if I ever revisit, I'd focus on the fresh popcorn chicken or refreshing drinks. I had brought my fanatical One Piece buddy on this trip, and my friend's food tasted way better than mine. On ambiance, the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) is absolutely lovely if you're able to find an available table. The "windows" show the animated ocean's waves as if you're inside the One Piece boat. There's also screens showing the top pirates in a fun animated way. The location is very clean, and it felt whimsical like a themed cafe inside Disneyland or Universal Studios. The One Piece Music also plays as you wait outside in line and sit inside as you dine. If lucky enough, the experience is very special. Overall, I had a happy, cheerful experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). There's many families, young ones, and anime enthusiasts happily adoring their One Piece Themed dining experience. If you're able to arrive early, I happily recommend. 4.5 out of 5

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

My first time here brought from my girls to celebrate Mother's Day. I love this place because it's Hello Kitty themed and I cant stop taking pictures of all the cute pastries, decorations, and the taste of all the delicious food freshly made. They taste good and delicious! The cute tea pot was served hot and tasty fragrant aroma , I ordered the Peach Blossom it came with a hello kitty shaped punk sugar, everything is so cute!!!! Service was awesome. The server explained each tier of the tea set what's in it and the choices of drinks. And best if all, helped us take group pictures. Love this place! Strongly recommended for any kind of celebration ~!! For the Hello Kitty lovers this is a must come place!!!!

What immediately stood out is how well the cats are treated -- they have full freedom to roam, plenty of toys to keep them entertained, and they're well fed and cared for. You can tell this place genuinely prioritizes making it a warm, comfortable space for the cats while they wait for their forever home. It's not a shelter -- it feels like a home. The staff made the whole adoption experience seamless. Jude especially was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable -- exactly the kind of person you want guiding you through the process. The rest of the team matched that same energy, and it made everything feel easy and stress-free from start to finish. My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier -- we found our girl Pinky, and she's already stolen our hearts. 10 out of 10, would recommend this café to anyone thinking about adopting. Don't hesitate, just go.

However the staff are some of the most wonderful people and absolutely cares for their flurry friends without question. The cats are given full access to the whole space, they own the place and we are just guests. Most of them are absolutely comfortable with people walking around so you can tell they are definitely well treated. They do have a coffee bar that I ended up getting a black. Coffee is decent, but you didn't come here for the coffee. You came to spend time with flurry friends. Prices are very reasonable as well. You can't go wrong if you just want a couple hours away from the busy day and be accompanied by some very friendly cats! If you are looking to adopt a cat they do work with KittenRescue so you are in wonderful hands. The process is smooth, quick, and just overall a very pleasant experience.

Gave it a second chance since Uncle Fung was packed. I'm glad we came back. The service was good and whole experience was not bad. DRINKS: Iced Hojicha Latte, add agave & Sea Salt Foam 4.5/5 $9.25. Liked it, but slightly too sweet. It was okay after I added more ice later. Ended up combining leftover Hojicha & coffee together. Tastes pretty good. This drink got pretty expensive. Didn't realize the Sea Salt Foam was $1.25 extra. Thought it was free (came with the drink) when the cashier asked which sweetener & cold foam I would like. Hot Latte, Add Vanilla Syrup 4.25/5 $6.50. Solid/safe choice. Hot Black Sesame 4/5 $6.50. Not bad, but I may be like Da Vien and/or Lotus & Bean's Hot Black Sesame drink a tad bit more. PASTRIES/BAKED GOODS: $4.50. Chocolate Chip Cookie

I really wanted to love this place after seeing so many good reviews, but the matcha latte with…read moresesame cream didn't quite live up to my expectations. The matcha itself was pretty weak and a bit flat, missing that rich, earthy depth you'd hope for, so overall it just fell a little meh. The sesame cream added a nice richness, but didn't bring much of that distinct nutty sesame flavor and mostly just tasted creamy. That said, the space is beautiful. It's clean and minimalist with lots of natural wood, high ceilings, and an open, airy layout. There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot to work, study, or just hang out. I'd still be open to coming back and giving it another try, maybe the double matcha will hit better next time.
