For all you Hello Kitty lovers, parking will cost you $40 just to get to this place, BUT there are absolutely NO lines in this cafe OR the giftshop. In fact the girl in our group felt like she had the whole place to herself, because she totally did. There were only a couple of people outside eating, other than that the place is yours! The one girl who was working there seemed friendly and answered our friends questions. They have cheap Hello Kitty alcoholic drinks for $10. They all had some berry or fruit flavor added it to and came in a plastic cup with a character silhouette on it. She liked her drink and felt that the character macaroons were cute and okay. She said the macaroons didn't taste fresh though.

Pretty in pink, outdoor service for drinks, treats, and souvenirs. Only two customers ahead of us when we joined the line, and no one was waiting when my daughter and I were being helped. Ordered my daughter's beloved boxed macarons and decided against choosing a drink for myself due to the obligated polite, yet blank stare, counter service conversation. Might return at daughter's request and for the Sanrio nostalgia.

After a fun day at Universal Studios Hollywood my wife and I went try out the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe in City walk. We are very very curious about the Hello Kitty Cafe it have become very popular around the world bring the world of Hell Kitty and delicious pastrys and other items they serve at the cafe. We look at menu display they delicious pastrys and drinks we notice they a special it's a hot chocolate and berry & cream churro for $13 we decided to get it and try it out. Right away we notice lots of people were coming to the Cafe to see what going on and try the pastrys. We order the special combo and see the hype about it. The Cafe look very cute everything in pink the traditional color of Hello Kitty. They call my number then I pick our special combo it looks so cute my wife say with little pink bow tie on the churro covering with sugar I impressed but how it taste. We took bite it was good but it needed little more flavor in the churro and berry and cream was ok but we enjoy it. My wife was told me is the Hello Kitty and Cafe worth I say yes depends if you are a Hello Kitty fan but a friend of mine tell me over in Japan Hello Kitty Cafe is better over there more stuff and different other items in Japan.

I think I mixed up my reviews. I put the cafe review on the store review, and it looks like I'm putting the store review in the cafe section. Oooops! It doesn't matter; they are connected to each other, and they are a duo, so it is an experience to do both. If you come to the cafe, make sure to check out the store next door; it is cute and full of so much Hello Kitty stuff. It is on the small side but is full of Hello Kitty, everyone, and is a Hello Kitty fan's best wish come to life. You will find it all in there; I saw stuff I had never seen, and since I normally shop Hello Kitty because one of my best friends loves Hello Kitty, I buy merchandise of that pretty often. This place makes it easier to buy stuff now, including rare items. Definitely worth checking both of these locations out at the same time.

really wanted to love the Hello Kitty Cafe at Universal CityWalk because I'm a huge Hello Kitty fan. My coffee was good, and the drinks are super cute. We ordered a second drink and specifically asked for light ice, but it came completely full of ice. When we politely mentioned it, we were told "oh sorry, can't remake it, maybe next time," which was pretty disappointing. For the price of these drinks, I expected a little more care and better customer service. I love the Hello Kitty brand and the aesthetic, but unfortunately the service didn't match the experience I was hoping for. Big fan of Hello Kitty , not so much the service here.

I was able to try out this hello Kitty and friends Café with my niece she is obsessed with hello Kitty so this was a nice surprise right next to this. There is a hello Kitty store as well which is super cute and adorable. The café itself has so many different drink options that come in the cutest little cup with a hello Kitty face the drink themselves taste delicious. I got one for my niece and she absolutely loved it. Staff is super friendly service was super quick and I just loved the theme of everything Pink. It was an incredible experience. We also were able to come on a day that was not too busy, but there is a roped off section as it could get very packed.

I don't think I've ever been so stressed to make an order until this very day, A lot of the holiday items were sold out which was surprising because it was still early in the night. They didn't update the TV with what was sold out and she kept quickly trying to tell me what was sold out INSTEAD of what was available so it was so stressful. So that was a bummer but I did get Kuromi Berry Iced Tea. It was sweet but expected. Go early, I guess.

October 30, 2025 | Universal City | While 5 friends & I were walking around Universal City Walk, I decided upon The Hello Kitty Cafe! What a cute place! Plus, I've wanted to try the cafe for quite some time, but the line is usually too long! Aesthetics | The dessert looks so pretty, super cute! Very pink & Hello Kitty is adorable! Fun!! Macaron Set $26 | A variety of yummy sounding flavors: Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, and pistachio! I had to try it, as well as had fun sharing with friends! Our own little taste testing session! Hahaha! I enjoyed the raspberry, strawberry & chocolate flavors! I wasn't into the other flavors! Normally, I love pistachio, but wasn't into it. As to $26 for the macarons, it's a no. Overall | The Hello Kitty aesthetics are on point, super cute! I may return to try the cake decorated as a gift, because it's the cutest! Fun & colorful, cuteness overload of an experience!

As a lover of Sanrio and all things pink, I give the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe a 5 for ambience, decor, and overall cuteness! Service I've received has been pleasant, nothing really noteworthy as you just place your order at the register and wait to pick up your items. The food and drinks themselves though are honestly disappointing as everything is tooth-rottingly sweet. Besides the novelty and appeal of Hello Kitty and Friends, I'm not sure that I would actually order anything here to enjoy, but they do make for cute pictures. I have had some drinks and pastries at other locations that were definitely more edible, so I hope some of those might come to Citywalk at some point. Still, if you're a Hello Kitty fan, I would say it's worth a visit as there is also a little shop right next door with Sanrio merchandise and the overall vibe is cute and sweet.

$8 for a cup of sugar and a slight tea taste (which is my cup of tea). They don't offer lids unfortunately if you're trying to sneak it into the theaters like me.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much I enjoyed here beyond just for the photo. The café feels very much just aesthetics rather than flavor--most items are extremely sweet and seem more made for pictures than for actually eating. I already had low expectations but the quality of the food was not it, and overall it just wasn't good. Cute for photos, but not for anything else

More kiosk than cafe, but the food was good! This place is mostly sweet drinks and desserts. No real cafe food like sandwiches and salads. There's outdoor seating only, and you order at the counter. We got the macaron set, a matcha latte, lemonade, and the strawberry cake. The macarons were pretty good. I hate it when macarons are dried and crunchy, and these were nice and soft with a tiny bit of chew. The cake was also moist and tasty. There was a lot of frosting, but it was a rich white chocolate ganache, which was tastier to me than the typical fluffy frosting. Everything was pretty sweet, so it is probably better to share.

This location is on the city walk before you enter the park so I always grab a drink and bite after my day at the park since I don't think they would let u bring it into the park. Around 8:30 pm I ordered the hello kitty lemonade ($8) and churro($9 very overpriced). They give you a buzzer and it is a fast turnaround time! Their seating is only outdoors. They do not give lids for the drinks which is extremely inconvenient and the churro they hand deliver so u have to hold it and eat it immediately. They both were extremely sweet and delicious and the churro had strawberry filling. I love the pink theme and overall was such a cute and sweet experience

Does this place need reservation or can just come by as needed?

No reservation needed. There is no indoor seating. It is a little outdoor seating area. You order your drinks or deserts at the register, and then you pick it up and can take it anywhere to eat. It really is very small.

They have pasta, desserts, sandwiches, burgers....We tried the Mario Burger, the Luigi Chicken Sandwich, garlic knots, & fries. You are 100 PERCENT going here for the aesthetics, decor, and the dining experience. Unfortunately,…read morelike most of the other food that I've tried at Universal, the quality is pretty mid and standard all the way through. Definitely make a reservation to ensure that you can speedily go in and order, grab, a seat and get your food ready ASAP so that you can enjoy the rest of your time at the theme park. You can do this through the Universal Studios app and it's pretty straightforward. There's a grace period, as with most reservations, and unlike Disney, they don't charge your card if you're a no show (at least I don't think they do). My group went during Fan Fest nights and the reservation made a faster check in than what I think usually goes on (there was a line and the restaurant was packed, but we were able to get a seat and our food in decent timing). I let the staff know that I had a reservation, was promptly instructed to go to the cashier to order, worker was super patient and friendly, got in our order, was given a buzzer, then checked in with the front of house staff to be seated at a table, food came out first and then one of our drinks that took a bit longer. Pretty seamless and they're great at accommodating their guests and making sure things run smoothly. Hands down, breathtaking experience and amazing attention to decor the entire visit. There's Chef Toad cooking in the queue, the back drop area of the cashiers was cool, and the dining room area is incredibly impressive. Each wall has panel screens showing what's going on in Mushroom Kingdom from the Toads having fun and hanging out and when the big bad swoops in and causes havoc (which I think is synced to the other screens throughout since they don't show the same scene for each one). For our visit, we got the: 1) Super Star Lemon Squash: -This is a standard honey lemon soda with mango stars and tropical boba. 2) Yoshi's Blueberry Ube Smoothie: -This is a Fan Fest limited menu item and not really a flavor I'd go for but I figure I would since it's the most unique (though thinking of it, I really should have done apple melon, but somehow it didn't click). -Very cute, comes with whipped cream on top and some flavored drizzle, a sprig of mint and it's in a Yoshi cup. -Extremely BIZARRE taste. Not sure why but it tasted like coconut (probably the ube) banana with specifically grape Nerds. Maybe it's just my taste buds. It wasn't bad, and someone at our table said it was good (another said it was gross because it was too sweet), but it's not something I would like normally so I was powering through it. 4) Super Mushroom Soup -Comes with the classic toadstool red mushroom plastic bowl and lid. They even give you a power up block to store it in and the characters you meet also use it as a point of interaction. Very cute. -I like that the soup came in it's own little aluminum container so it doesn't sauce up and stain the bowl. Very nice! -Soup has some mushroom crackers on top, resembling the red toadstool mushroom. Very cute. Decent creamy mushroom soup. Not the biggest serving but hits the spot on a chilly night. 5) Bowser's Fireball Challenge: -Heard good things about this from someone who went to the Orlando park. You can also pay an extra $10 to keep the souvenir bowl. Since it was sauced up, we asked staff and we got a completely new one in a box and in a Super Nintendo World bag. Quality customer service and glad we didn't have to wash it out. -It's a huge meatball with mozzarella cheese and mushroom marinara sauce. Bowser puff pastry on top, brings together the look and adds a bit of carbs. Definitely mix in the hot sauce and marinara together. -Simple dish, but easy to eat and the sauce went great with the fries from the Mario burger another friend ordered. And since my boyfriend was dying from the long day and the longer night ahead, he got himself a hot coffee. Standard hot black coffee but it came in a cute cup. Not the finest dining out there, but the experience alone is worth it. This is what themed dining should be like. As a consistent Disney goer, I feel like Disney tries, but it still always feels like I'm still in a theme park (even in Galaxy's Edge), so it's either the IP or the actual attention to detail and stage set that truly blew me away here. I'd come back for sure.

Also, the location has about eight interior tables, so there's a real possibility that you might not even find inside dine-in seating due to the crazy popularity. I arrived near opening time, and the line to the counter took about 45 minutes. The line didn't even shrink when I'd left.) I arrived at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) on Sunday (around 11:08AM). There was a very long line upon arrival. They had a security guard to monitor everyone, so I felt safe. Parking is difficult since it's Los Angeles. Street Parking was very hard to find, so I parked at the nearby Parking Structure (Sho Tokyo Garage - $15 Flat Rate on Sat or Sun). It's a short two minute walk to the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). Staff is professional and polite. Staff worked hard despite the HUGE line of customers. It took about 45 minutes to reach the counter. And my food was completed within 14 minutes. I was lucky enough to find an open table inside. As mentioned, I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). This burger is definitely a fun spectacle, but it was also a fairly dry & overcooked burger. It was presented lovingly on a bed of crisp, well-seasoned fries. At the very least, it's HUGE!! I had plenty of leftovers. However, if I ever revisit, I'd focus on the fresh popcorn chicken or refreshing drinks. I had brought my fanatical One Piece buddy on this trip, and my friend's food tasted way better than mine. On ambiance, the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) is absolutely lovely if you're able to find an available table. The "windows" show the animated ocean's waves as if you're inside the One Piece boat. There's also screens showing the top pirates in a fun animated way. The location is very clean, and it felt whimsical like a themed cafe inside Disneyland or Universal Studios. The One Piece Music also plays as you wait outside in line and sit inside as you dine. If lucky enough, the experience is very special. Overall, I had a happy, cheerful experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). There's many families, young ones, and anime enthusiasts happily adoring their One Piece Themed dining experience. If you're able to arrive early, I happily recommend. 4.5 out of 5

They have drinks named after the characters, but everything is pricey (tourist trap alert). I'm not a coffee drinker, but I had to partake in the "Central Perk" rite of passage, so I ordered the chocolate ice-blend drink (~$8 after tax), which is a pretty steep price for a drink that's essentially chocolate milk. For some reason, my order got lost in their system, so I was waiting and waiting for my name to be called. After approaching the counter and asking, they made it right away. They don't serve the drinks in the signature large coffee cups (but the cups are available at the gift shop), so I'd say you can skip the overpriced coffee and go straight for the photo ops (which are free/included in the price of admission).

I recently stopped by Arcane Maid Cafe, and I'm giving it a well-deserved 5 stars! It's a genuinely…read morefun, unique spot that brings a great slice of Akihabara cafe culture right to the area. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and everyone working there was so nice. We were served by a wonderful Caucasian maid, and we also noticed a cute Korean maid taking care of some other tables--the whole staff was super friendly and really added to the charming, positive vibe of the cafe. One thing that really stood out to me was their retail section. They have a surprisingly solid selection of Japanese trading card games like Weiss Schwarz, Hololive, and Pokémon, alongside some manga. It's an awesome touch if you're a fan of the hobby or just want something interesting to browse while waiting for your order. As for the food, I had to try the classic maid cafe staple: the omurice. I ordered the curry omurice, complete with the signature cute ketchup art drawn right on the egg. It was hearty, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. We also tried a couple of their specialty iced espresso drinks, including the tiramisu latte. They were topped generously with whipped cream and tasty crumbles. The drinks are definitely on the richer, sweeter side, making them feel like a dessert in themselves. If you're into Japanese gaming and anime culture, or just looking for a cafe experience that's a bit out of the ordinary with fantastic service and indulgent drinks, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Came in on a late Saturday afternoon and there was one other table seated. The waitress dressed in…read morea maid outfit handed us menus and proceeded to talk with the other table at length. I had to ring the bell for her to acknowledge us again to take our order. We ordered the omurice and pork katsu. The omurice was a poor impression of one and rather just a hard omelette with rice inside paired with curry. The pork katsu was crispy and juicy. I think overall it's an okay experience that I don't think much of and would not really need to return to. Fast service otherwise and there was parking in the small lot.
