Visited and ate at Minion Cafe a little before noon on a Saturday. The place was not as busy as we expected. We picked up the hot meals on the counter top before heading to the cashier. Customer service interaction was only at cashier. The cashier was pleasant. Ordered the chicken tenders served with Minion tots and BBQ sauce along with the Carl's Classic Grilled Cheese sandwich served with tomato soup and a side of Minion tots. Chicken tenders are ok but the portions and servings could be better. It seemed like the portion and servings are for children and not adults. We enjoyed the Minion tots. The potato tots were a good size just lacking in serving/amount. The Carl's Classic Grilled Cheese tasted like any other grilled cheese sandwich. The only difference is that they had a Minion stamp on one side of the sandwich.

Pulled Pork Melt is delicious. Probably the best item we ate in the park. Pork is juicy and great cheesy flavor. Side of Tots were good. Could have been a little crispier. Service was fast and friendly. Tables and area are clean. Utensils and condiments outside.

    Dispica-bowl Ramen

Cafeteria style dining with minion themed food. I opted for the dispica-bowl ramen, which was ok for theme park food but not worth the $18+ price tag. The broth, egg and noodles were good, but the chashu was a bit too salty for my liking. Also, whoever put the bowl together was heavy handed with the green onion :( Ample outdoor seating available in front of the cafe, as well as a station for utensils, napkins, condiments, etc.

A very sad ramen. Tasted like instant noodles. The broth was gooey and tasteless. However, the meat was good.

went to universal with my best friend and the staff member all suggested minion cafe! no regrets! we both got the mac and cheese. also got the minion tots and nutella banana pudding. i had no high expectations - that's just the way it is at an amusement park. but it was surprising filling for the price. the mac and cheese had crispy bacon bits and shredded chicken - it looked quite small at first but my friend and i couldn't finish one bowl each. it was actually pretty good for amusement park food! the tots were crispy and thick - again, looked pretty small in portion but they were so thick!! the banana pudding was actually okay! nothing like banana pudding at bakeries or anything, but still pretty good. barely a wait on a wednesday afternoon. so cute n yum.

We ate here around 11 AM on a Tuesday and the line wasn't too bad. We were able to use our Gold annual pass to get a 15% discount. I meant to take pictures, but the kids dug into their food faster lol Pulled pork sandwich - 6/10 Nachos - 6/10 Mac and Cheese - 6/10 Banana Pudding - 6/10 We shared food so the total wasn't too bad feeding 6 of us. Otherwise, it could've been pretty expensive. The ordering of food was like we were being served by minions lol it was kind of chaotic even with a short line. A lot of waiting, a lot of people piling in one area of the line, servers standing around looking unsure of what to do or who to serve first or took too long. Improvements towards efficiency would be helpful. The quality of food wasn't worth the cost IMO. At least Omarion at the register was very friendly and personable!

    Minion fries. So cute

This place actually is quite decent. It didn't look promising at first. I just wanted to eat there because it looked cute. But the food was okay! Brisket sandwich was seasoned well and it was made to order since they were out. So it tasted fresh. The fries are super cute!! And crispy. The chicken looked suspect at first since it was so pale. To my surprise, it was seasoned just right and was juicy!! Churros were also decent as well.

Just eh. Ordered the grilled cheese/tomato soup and the chocolate cupcake. We got here at 10:30, when they open and all the doors were locked. A group of people started gathering and they did not unlock their doors until around 10:45. The food is basic and the "soup" is more of a marinara. All of the food was somewhat stale and tasted old despite us being there at opening. AVOID THE CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE. It was a horrendous puck of hard dense cake that flaked with a purple frosting that stains everything. All seating is outside with umbrella covered tables.

Quick cafeteria style dining located inside Universal Studios Hollywood. I have never eaten here but the food is pre-cooked and kept warm. Looked like it was sitting out for a while. This review is mainly on their Nutella Banana Pudding. Presentation is adorable! However, the flavor was just okay. The banana was artificial tasting. Not bad but it could have been better.

I had the chicken bacon mac and cheese and asked for no ranch. The portion was rather skimpy, so I asked if I could have another scoop of mac and cheese, which they said no to. Seating area is outdoors. During the lunch rush, it can be hard to find a table, so you might need to nicely ask people at tables with open spots if you can sit there. There's also a dessert place, Despicable Delights, around the corner. Got a churro from there

I get it is overpriced theme park food but this place is horrible both service and food. Staff was not helpful and angry. The wait was almost 45 mins and not enough seats and the food was cold. Should have gone out of the park to eat.

As for the Matcha Latte, it's perfectly frothy. Next up: The Country Breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy & buttery. The cute strawberry banana garnish was like a cherry on top of an ice cream sundae. Def recommend this dish just for the pancakes. One insider tip: Just remember to pack your patience if there's a line. Aroma always draws a crowd just about any time of day (or night). I got a medium size/cup of their Mascorpone gelato and grabbed a seat in the shop. She gave me a generous scoop and was very yummy, creamy, delicious & REFRESHING!! $8.23 with tax. Since my last review, the only reason that I gave a 4 star rating was because of their tables not being clean. Everything was up to par. Enjoyed my Gelato, the nice Classic Rock music and headed out. Every 'Joe Schmoe' can "go out for ice cream"; but do you want to up the ante and show off…read moresophistication? Would you prefer to feel as though you are carefree in Italy and about to hop on a vespa? Then opt for gelato. Somehow, grabbing gelato versus ice cream feels classy and elegant. Although gelato offerings in Los Angeles aren't as widespread as ice cream; there are plenty of options awaiting to make us all feel European (I AM European so I always do but I digress). San Fernando Valley's most recent addition to the world of gelato is Freddo - located not far from the Ventura/ Laurel Canyon intersection in Studio City. Yes, that means this is prime real estate and terrible parking. Is Freddo worth the hassle? Freddo has been in the gelato business for 50 years opening their first shop in Argentina before expanding worldwide focusing on fresh, local ingredients and flavors; making each shop unique to the surrounding cultures. Freddo has arrived in Southern California ready to bring their Italian gelato roots to the City of Angels. Sounds great, right? Well, yes - on paper but this Studio City location fell short. The Studio City location of Freddo has been on the receiving end of viral publicity and influencer love as of late often appearing in social media videos. Coupled with Freddo's worldwide market holding; I had very high hopes for Freddo's gelato. I expected some orgasmic gelato! A mind-blowing experience! My boyfriend and I ventured into Freddo to find a rather large gelateria in comparison to other gelato/ice cream shops with an order counter/gelato/pastry case, a front window-seating counter complete with plants and plenty of tables and seating within; while murals graced the walls adding splashes of color. What I found odd, was the disheveled mess Freddo appeared - why didn't anyone tidy the dining area? Granted, there was only one associate in the front but only two other customers ahead of us. Alas, an untidy gelato shop isn't the clincher to a bad time but this was just the beginning. My boyfriend and I have never visited Freddo and the associate was NOT welcoming, didn't smile, was basically silent and stood there like a statue until we asked for some samples on our own. Let's try "selling the business" and having good customer service, shall we buddy? I am not a gelato professional consumer by any means but I was instantly deterred by the visual appearance of the gelato which just looked 'off'. Perhaps, I am just spoiled by Bacio di Latte which is a hop, skip and jump from Freddo and is absolutely divine. I wasn't overwhelemed by the flavor options at Freddo although I tried Zabaglione which is inspired by the Marsala wine Italian dessert and was interesting with the wine notes coming through the gelato. The Mascarpone (mascarpone with raspberry sauce) was also decent but not overly unique. I decided against purchasing my own gelato and instead to share with my boyfriend with him choosing a double cup ($7.50) of Stracciatella (sweet cream with semi-sweet chocolate chunks) and blackberry sorbet (note: this was to test it against Bacio di Latte's raspberry sorbet which is one of the best sorbets on the planet). The prices at Freddo were another strike with the single cup ($6.25), double ($7.50) and triple ($9.80) being smaller in size than their competitors but about a dollar higher, respectively. This is fine if the gelato is worth it - but it isn't. I'm sorry but Freddo's gelato was mediocre at best. I've had better grocery store pints. The Stracciatella was overly simplified and bland and the blackberry sorbet (which was not strained of seeds) was just bad. I can't even eloquently phrase why - it just is. There isn't much more to be said about Freddo. Freddo is, bluntly, not good and I don't understand how they claim worldwide gelato domination. A messy shop, poor customer service, subpar gelato flavors/textures and overpriced... why is this place viral? Can someone answer me? Anyone?! There is nothing good here and especially when Freddo is overshadowed by Bacio di Latte almost a block away. My boyfriend and I will not be back despite wanting to feel classy consuming gelato. Skip!
