The Clogger Burger was indulgent. exactly the kind of over-the-top comfort food you'd expect while walking around the park all day. The milkshake paired perfectly with it and was thick, creamy, and refreshing. Service was pretty efficient despite the busy crowds, and the ordering process moved faster than expected. The atmosphere is really the highlight here. The whole Springfield area is colorful, playful, and full of little details from The Simpsons, which makes the meal feel more entertaining and memorable than just grabbing regular fast food. Theming is amazing, just like the rest of the Simpsons Land. We came right before they closed for Fan Fest nights, so although there was a short wait, we got all of our food super fast and caught them right before everything was being put away. However, we can see that the queue can get quite long, so imagine it at a busier time. There's some seating there and it connects to Moe's Tavern and Cletus' Chicken Shack, so if you can't find seating at one end, hopefully you can at another. It's very brightly colored and themed to the Simpsons, giving a nostalgic feel for those who enjoy the animated series. Shorts from the series are also played on the televisions all around. For our visit, we got the Ribwich (one of my boyfriend's favorite episodes) and we got a Buzz Cola for our drink (sugar free and from the show as well!). The Ribwich is definitely more like something you'd get at a local fair than what the show depicts it as (super BBQ sauce addicting patty - like a McDonald's McRib). It's boneless BBQ ribs with BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Could use a bit more BBQ sauce, but meat was moist enough. Comes with steak fries too. Overall just alright and nothing to write home about. The Buzz Cola was like a cherry cola. It's edible food, but I think I would mald if I actually had to wait in that super long queue that's set up. read more

Tried the Krusty colossal burger combo for the 1st time tonight. Emphasis on "Krusty." Fries tasted freezer expired; bland and tasteless. Patties were burnt on the outside, mystery meat on the inside. The meat was also bland and kept my taste buds wondering "what the heck am I eating?" How do you mess up a an American classic? Got the clogger and it was very good. I shared that with my 4yr old son and it was more than filling. We also got the hot dog and the bun was on the dry side so my daughter just dipped the hot dog in ketchup. Service was quick and we also got a discount with our annual pass. Inside was pretty cool. I couldn't very well go to Springfield and not try a Krusty Burger, so we decided to pop in for a quick bite on the tail-end of our Universal Studios visit. I decided to get, of course, the Krusty Burger ("1/3 lb burger patty with Secret Sauce, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Served with fries"). Ordering was a cinch and the food was ready almost instantly, so I grabbed a tray and took the eats to a spacious seating area upstairs. It's a solid burger. It's nothing that'll be remembered or noted as one of the best burgers ever, but for a theme park concoction, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The patty was dry, sure, but the rest of the components generally helped compensate. And the fries were pretty decent, too. Would I get Krusty Burger again if I were in the park? They have an upstairs that is decked out in Simpson gear as well as TVs that are playing different episodes of the show! Best advice would be to mobile order because the lines do get pretty long! Krusty Burger was the one place our whole family agreed on to have lunch at during our visit to Universal Studios. It's based on the fictional fast food joint from "The Simpsons" and each area of the restaurant has a theme. My nephew has egg and nut allergies and Krusty Burger's menu made it very convenient to order as each menu item is clearly marked with: ES - Egg Sensitive, PS - Peanut Sensitive, TNS - Tree Nut Sensitive, etc. We ordered ahead on the Universal application and provided a pick up time so that by the time we finished waiting in line/riding our ride, we could walk over to the restaurant and not wait as long. We still had to wait a while, about 20-30 minutes past our 'pick-up window' but the app keeps you updated and lets you know the status of your order. It seemed really chaotic in there and the operation could have been more efficient as our order sat there for a while and it was really hard to hear the numbers being called. It would be great if they had a screen with order numbers displayed as they're ready for pickup. They did seem to take a little more precaution with my nephew's order and I had to see staff to confirm his allergies. We ordered the Krusty Burger, Clogger Burger Combo, Sideshow Bob Foot-Long, fries, and a milkshake. All were pretty standard and did the job. The Sideshow Bob Footlong (chili dog) was my favorite and I'm glad I went with that. We were able to snag seats in Krusty's VIP room which is where I wanted to be. The room is decorated with Simpsons show memorabilia and has a more upscale ambiance compared to the regular dining areas. I love how the artwork that is on the walls were drawn by the very artists from the Simpsons show. This place was PACKED. So despite our wait, I think we would have waited even longer had we queued in line. ORDER AHEAD. Overcrowded and loud inside with not enough seating You'd think an amusement park would have planned for the massive crowd. Husbands and I both got "The Clogger". Our bacon was so undercooked it was still light pink in the center. The lettuce looked anemic and the "special sauce" was a salty mess. The meat was decent but tasted similar to any frozen 1/3 patty I could buy. The bun was rock hard and flavorless, and the cheese may have actually been plastic. I get making the food ahead of time but our fries were stale and cold. I got a large sprite and they leave the premade drinks sitting out so long all the ice was melted and it was flat. My husband paid 14 for a 16oz duff beer which may have just been coors light. The cashier was friendly and efficient which I appreciate, especially since it was so crowded she'd have the right to lose her mind. $61 for this level of disappointment is sad. read more

Being a Simpsons fan for over three decades, I've been looking forward to try to ribwich and the Krusty Burger. Unfortunately, my high hopes were met with a somewhat disappointing experience. Although I should have expected nothing extraordinary from a theme park restaurant, I was still (naively) optimistic. The Krusty Burger beats the Ribwich (I know, crazy right?) only because the Ribwich was dry and had barely a smudge of BBQ sauce. The Krusty Burger did taste like an ordinary burger, albeit a far cry from what we know at In n Out and others. Service was quick since, as I may have mentioned in another Universal review, food appears to have been all premade and just waiting for someone to order since there's only so many (limited) items on the menu. They said it was a lager brewed especially for Krustyland (and not just a relabeled version of another beer brand), so we were happy to try that. It was crisp and cool and a perfect little break to sit and sip after our Krusty meal, and walking around a theme park all day. Obviously Krusty Burger is a little more expensive than a burger and fries at any number of normal fast food choices around town, but you're at a theme park so you're paying a premium for the atmosphere and theme.
