I stopped by this Astro Burger location yesterday morning to try their burgers since I was already going across the street to get my wife and my sister their coffee. I found parking easily because I came right when they open. People were already dining inside so I think they open a little earlier. I asked the lady working the cashier which burger should recommend and she said all of them are good because they are known for their burgers. So I got the bacon cheeseburger and ordered the fries too. It didn't take them long to make my food and when I got back from picking up the coffee across the street, my food was ready for pickup. I took it home to eat it there. The bacon cheeseburger was okay but I did not like the fries at all. It was more crispy and crunchy but lack favor. Eating the bacon burger did not get messy at all. This burger place is nice to try once but I'll stick to my usual burger spot. They also charge a fee for paying with card which is unfortunate.

At this price point, it rivals a regular restaurant, and that's before including fries, a drink, and tip. There's something special about this, though. Everything looked like a cheaply made burger BUT the taste threw me off. The bacon? Fresh and crispy! The veggies? Fresh and crispy, too! The patty? Juicy like all the rest. The real shocker came minutes after I devoured that burger. Normally, my stomach would feel iffy after such a meal. However, everything somehow felt healthy and whole after this meal. Not a single hint of indigestion or bloatedness... what's the secret?! Now, parking may feel intimidating in WeHo, but rest assured, there are ample parking spots along the street and in the residential area 1-3 blocks away, so long as you don't mind getting some steps in.
Astro Burger is the quintessential old-school "burger joint" that is so hard to find these days! It has that nostalgic old school diner vibe, think "Pulp Fiction" cerca 1994. I love that they put pastrami on their burgers. I think that makes them super unique. I had to try it, because what's better than meat with more meat on top. They even let me get it lettuce-wrapped which I really appreciated. The burger was juicy and well-seasoned. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and loaded with a big slab of pastrami and cheese. I absolutely loved it. And I loved sitting at the diner-style booth as well. I tried some fries and those were good too, crisp and perfectly salted. The servers were super friendly and made you feel like you were at home there. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back for more, from the minute you walk in. Please never change!
Walked here after hanging out at a nearby park. Ordered the double cheeseburger added bacon and a bacon avocado burger and a small side of fries. The fries were good and crispy and a nice portion. Love the bacon on the burgers. Super crispy and a good amount. Good amount of avocado. Overall a good place to grab a quick bite to eat.
I swear ya'll sleeping on these tacos...best in LA - I promise. There is an Astro Burger near me, but the tacos here are sooooo much better and more fresh!
It's New Year's Eve had to come here for a quick bite before the new years started! The food is amazing they cooked it so fast and I thank you! The fries were fresh. Sandwich amazing! The staff here is always cool and friendly! I appreciate you guys
After a night of dancing, I was hungry and I always know I can count on a great burger from Astro Burger! The burger was cooked, medium rare and cooked to perfection! I don't eat bread so I asked them for a lettuce wrapped burger. The service was great and quick! Before I left, I had dropped my debit card and when I went back in and they asked the name on it and they gave it back to me! This place is great because it's open till 3 AM and the food is always fresh!
Astro burger is a local favorite, they have a pretty descent selection of food. More than burgers only and everything on their menu is fire, tastes great. The diner has a small indoor dining area and a very ample outdoor eating area. Freshly made food paired with excellent service, really makes it difficult to order just one thing. On the real though this reminds me of those classic diners you'd hit up with your friends and family when you were a kid. I just wish they had chilaquiles lol! But that's a personal preference because whatever they're doing, sure seems to work for them. Definitely recommend this spot if ever in the area and you're in the mood for some great tasting food, that won't break the bank.
My friend, some 20 years ago, said he will pay for my meal if I try their chicken quesadilla and since that day, that's mostly the only thing I've been having at Astro Burger. The quesadilla is outstanding! They grill the chicken and the large tortilla with cheese and fill it up with diced tomatoes, onions, some herbs and avocado. The combination is unparalleled. The vast part of the tortilla somewhat traps the juices of all the fine ingredients and as you close in for a bite, you're getting one juicy bite every time, full of flavor. The marriage of tender texture of the yummy ingredients and the perfect crispy texture of the tortilla, make this quesadilla feast a close to perfect, elevated experience. Super tasty, super good! The place looks like a standard diner with a bunch of booths inside and a dining patio on the outside. The service is friendly and attentive. And don't let the simplicity of this place fool you, cause it's legendary. Even Hillary Swank, right after winning her Best Actress Oscar, went straight to Astro Burger for her fix!
I haven't been back in years!!! Moved out of town & had a family friend visiting from Japan & I knew instantly I had to bring him here. I love that the staff allowed my friend to practice his English while ordering, even encouraging him! As I remember nothing has changed, in the best possible way. The burgers are still huge & juicy. The fries are nice & crunch. The onion rings are golden fried. Everyone is always smiling & ready to assist you with any questions.
Stopped in for a quick bit and ordered their charred cheeseburger with a side of fries and a Coke. The burger was everything and then some. The fries cooked crisp. The coke was fountain perfect. Place gets mad busy. The food really delivered! Excellent!
I was in the area and ready for some midnight munchies. I'm a chili cheeseburger fan so I ordered this since it was on the menu. Luckily I got there when I did because more hungry patrons showed up. The burger ended up being pretty good but nothing near the perfection of a Tommy's burger.
Oh what a wonderful find. ASTRO Burger had the parking and the service and the delicious foods. The counter lady was friendly and helpful. No problem ordering the juicy cheeseburger that the lovely missus says was super. Son was hungry and he knows this place has good food. A tuna melt and a plump pastrami sandwich filled the stomach and for sure we shared that crunchy battered onion rings for good measure. I wanted dinner and the Fish and Chips plate was a great choice and it comes laden with fries and a side of fresh green salad and a cheesy Texas Toast. We couldn't ask for a better impromptu and clean surrounding little diner with a service oriented place than ASTRO Burger. Yes, this place has the holiday spirit with decor and background music to fit the season's greetings. Definitely would return given a chance to be in the area again.
Astro Burger on Santa Monica Blvd is one of those old school LA spots that feels like it has been there forever, and that's part of the charm. This isn't somewhere I'm going for anything fancy. It has that classic, no frills burger joint/diner feel with a huge menu, and quick counter service. The cheeseburger is the kind of simple burger that works here. Fresh off the grill, well seasoned, and nothing unnecessarily complicated. I'd pair it with the onion rings, which are hand-battered in-house and probably one of the better things on the menu. Service is quick and friendly, which is exactly what I want from a place like this. They're also open late on Friday and Saturday, so it's a good option when you want something casual after most places have started shutting down. Parking is the only thing I'd keep in mind. There are some spaces, but the lot isn't huge, and Santa Monica Blvd can be busy. read more

Astro Burger is nice if you need a place to pop into with a parking lot, no wait and guaranteed seats while eating a burger, chili, gyros or having a milkshake. It's super cute diner style vibes inside with I wouldn't call the eats amazing but they are good and reliable! I wish their shakes weren't so milky but they get the job done. All the food is A-OK but I'm not itching to get back here. Wild work is they are open until 3am on the weekends! read more

Super hot French fries. Fantastic burger made to order. The flavor leans toward backyard grilled burgers you would make yourself. Way faster service than in-n-out. Friendly staff. Occasional star sighting. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays. For what it is, it's perfect. What is it you ask? It's a classic burger joint. The establishment is high traffic to say the least. It felt like Grand Central Station while I was there and yet somehow the bathroom was still clean. I noticed one thing that might explain why this place runs so smoothly; the staff is older and really knows their role. If you just sit back and watch them it's like a choreographed dance. There's no one directing anything. They're just all working hard non-stop. Plus they all seem genuinely happy to be working here. It's a feel good establishment. You should go. read more
ASTRO Gastrointestinal Burger is what they should re-name this place. 15 mins upon leaving I was busting a gut from the food. Honestly I'd been thinking about this place for ages but always kept going but today I stopped. Frankly I wished my car had broken done on Fairfax so I didn't dine here. OMG I ordered a taco & pastrami burger with a coke as my tasty beverage to wash it all down with. Hell I needed a 2 liter bottle in hopes of washing that taste away. Taco was a cheaply made version of a taco that lacked flavor but I did appreciate they have made the shell. Fried in something to make it crispy but the inner workings of that taco were sad, just look at the photo. Next was the pastrami burger that was horrific in taste. Maybe it was the frozen patty's I don't know but something didn't agree with me on this sandwich. Please note the photos look great but don't let that fool you into thinking I'm crazy. If you must well dine at your own risk and bring a roll of TP in case you need to stop in an alley. The restaurant itself was a charming place with indoor and outdoor seating. A small " Out of Order " jukebox was on each table inside however mine didn't work. First time here, the food was so so so good! Its definitely a vibe when you walk in. Amalia was such a sweetheart! Walked me through the menu, gave me great recommendations and put a smile on my face after a long day. Great food, good vibes, and top it off with excellent guest service from amalia! Parking here is more than enough. If it's crowded opt for a side street. The Outdoor seating is huge! They dog friendly. Just remember to clean up if your dog does make a mess. The restaurant itself is Super clean. The staff - mostly family members or longtime employees are Super friendly. I was Greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The Ambience is as always - welcoming & comforting. You can expect a smile and a warm greeting that doesn't sound mechanical. The menu - displayed on the wall over the grill and cooking area just warms my heart. I had been frequenting this "diner" grubbery since 1985 - when I first moved to LA. I moved away for a few years - actually almost 18 years - and recently moved back. I actually lived a few blocks away for a few years. With all the changes that have come to the area - I'm so glad this place is still standing. The burgers are fantastic. The burritos are amazing. If there is a place you should frequent - THIS should be on your top 5, if not number 1!!! I am a loyal fan and once you've experienced this grub spot - so will you. read more

First, they fed me despite my poverty -- or they would've had a customer not stepped in to cover the bill. I enjoyed my meal like anyone else except I'm more annoying and randomly engaging people than anyone else. All good things. But what really made the experience? I was making my way to a street fair in West Hollywood. I knew I was going to be getting lunch somewhere in West Hollywood. However, I turned out to be a late breakfast. Since I didn't have time to eat at home. After my Waymo dropped me off. I started walking to the street fair. I came across Astro Burger. What drew me to this place was the retro and nostalgia of the building. Once I got there, I was more than ecstatic. that breakfast went till noon on weekends. Perfect for me. Astro Burger on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood is the kind of place that feels like it's always been there--and in the best way possible. Whether you're rolling in late morning or nursing a slow start to your day, this spot hits the mark with no-frills, satisfying diner-style food and friendly service. I came in for a late breakfast and ordered the Denver omelette with a side of potatoes and toast. It was exactly what I was hoping for: hot, hearty, and cooked just right. What I wasn't expecting the meal to be served on a serving platter. The omelette was loaded with diced ham, bell peppers, onions, and plenty of melty cheese--classic and comforting, without being greasy or overdone. The potatoes were golden, crispy on the edges, and soft in the middle, a perfect companion to the fluffy eggs. The toast--simple, buttery, and warm--rounded out the plate. I did manage to finish the whole thing. Again was perfect. It kept me full all day at the festival. I was able to enjoy the event and not having to fight crowds at other eateries at the event. One of the things I appreciate about Astro Burger is how consistent and unfussy it is. You don't have to guess what you're getting--it's good old-fashioned diner fare, served quickly and priced reasonably, even in the heart of West Hollywood. It's not trendy, and it doesn't try to be. But if you want a solid, satisfying breakfast (even after most places have stopped serving it), Astro delivers every time. read more

Excellent food here. The atmosphere is that of a 50's Diner with friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. The buns they use give the sandwiches and burgers so much more substance and sit really well with the belly. The mixed juice was refreshing and also feels good while sipping it. Old school. A complete throwback. A blast from the past. Parking. Safe. . Secure. Clean bathroom. Nice people. Booths. Counter tops. Juke boxes. Patty melts. Onion rings. Milk shakes. Breakfast. It's a real deal greasy spoon, but in all seriousness it's the most professionally run establishment I've been in in modern memory. I cannot eat that food often, but it's great and I always leave happy. An awesome tuna melt. Toasted Sourdough. Then grilled. The tuna is delicious. The tuna melt, with fries, with an apple juice was 20 bucks. read more
