Great impossible smash burger! Prices are reasonable (especially since the impossible patty option can be pricey at other burger spots). Bun was a little dry but everything else was delicious. Fries were perfectly crispy

Mozzarella sticks & double smash burger

The food was alright I like the onions on the burger but the mozzarella sticks came cold as you can see. They also didn't put a lid on the sauce so our bag had sauce spilled everywhere. Wait was longer than expected. Ordered online at 9' 0 something said it would be ready 9:22 and still had to wait 14 more mins and our food was cold ?

The most horrible burger ever had in my life was dry greasy too much bread felt like I was eating a burger patty flipping gasoline sauces were horrible as well

Best kosher smash burger I ever had. Fries were also really good. A little pricey but all kosher food is.

The owners are super nice and welcoming, which always leaves a good impression. On my second visit (just a regular day), the experience was a little different. The staff didn't seem very attentive to me or my guest. Nothing rude.. just not very engaged. That said, the restaurant does some really cool things. One feature I liked a lot was the spin board that displays your name when your order is ready.. small touch, but creative and fun. Because of the quality of the food and the overall vibe, I'm leaving four stars instead of something lower. The service didn't quite take it over the top, but there also wasn't anything bad enough to knock it down further. With more consistent attentiveness from staff, this spot could easily be a standout.

Now that's a juicy burger…read more.. Tried Station 43 on Melrose today, and I liked it. Specifically, I had the Wild Burger, which the menu describes as being, "6 oz of a juicy, house-ground Angus beef patty, nestled in a soft potato brioche bun. Topped with rich American cheddar cheese, crisp iceberg lettuce, and a savory bacon bourbon onion jam, all drizzled with smoky BBQ sauce." It was very flavorful, meaty, and, as I said, juicy. So much so that I wish I had a baby wipe with me. I also got the fries, which were skinny fries, and crispy, though they were still potato-y. The only bummer is that because they put the burger on the same plate as the fries, some of the fries got soggy from all the burger juice. Though it wasn't a huge bummer because they give you a good pile of fries, so losing a few isn't the worst thing. As for the place itself, it's clean, isn't cramped, and has a good number of tables. The staff were also friendly and very helpful. Also, because it's right in the middle of Melrose, it wasn't hard to find a parking spot on a side street, though it helped that I went on a Wednesday, when parking isn't restricted.

You go for a burger... next thing you know the staff knows your order, somebody's outside talking music, and half the block is posted up there like it's the community clubhouse with grilled onions floating through the air. Chef Geo really carries the whole vibe. The specials are never lazy either. The Big Fax is ridiculous in the best way possible, and the pastrami burgers feel like LA comfort food wearing heavyweight denim. You can tell there's actual care behind the menu instead of just chasing "viral burger" energy. Best part is the warmth. Every time I walk in, it feels welcoming in a way that's hard to fake. You can tell the neighborhood genuinely rocks with him and the spot. Fairfax has a million places to eat, but Trophies feels like it belongs to the people around it.

Straight to the point, no frills spot with decent prices and "clean" burgers where you don't feel sluggish or like shit after eating. What I mean by that is the burgers tasted pure, not overly greasy and gross. You'll good after indulging in their smash burgers. The fries and loaded fries were great. Definitely a favorite spot to visit in LA now and will try to make a trip out there next time.

The corner location is easy to spot with a small parking lot in back and meterred street parking. The interior was inviting, decorated with Philly memorabilia, art, snacks, and a few tables inside and out. There is a kiosk to order along with the cashier. After we ordered 3x Mushroom steaks and a Philly's Best Cheesesteak, the owner came out with cheese samples comparing standard American (which we ordered by default) vs Cooper's American cheese samples, informing us of the latest popular taste fads in Philly. This was an unexpected delight to find out that Cooper's and the newer Amoroso sesame rolls were nice improvements over the plain roll and standard white American cheese. Cooper's gave a pleasant sharper flavor to the normal white American cheese. The finely chopped steak, mushrooms, onions, cheese, and peppers were very generous and cooked and melted to perfection. Everything was delicious and quite filling. If you are looking for a hearty Philly Cheesesteak fix, look no further. This family run business is friendly, imports their bread, cheese, snacks from Philly, and delivers with a fantastic taste of Philly. Definitely lives up to the name Philly's Best and is heaven for the taste buds! Highly Recommend!

The food itself was pretty good for the area as far as Philly cheesesteaks go. It's a small shop, but they have a few seats and some bar seating if you want to dine in. Overall, not a bad experience.. I'd probably come back.

May 2026 - 2nd Visit…read more A girl broke things off with me today, and yet somehow eating here was the lowest point of my day. I don't understand how this place has won awards. I ordered a double hamburger and sweet potatoes fries bc I knew better than to order the sprouts after last time. And I have to say, the burger outdid itself after last time -- I've easily had dozens of better burgers in backyards. This burger had NO flavor. None. Halfway through eating it I realized they didn't put any effing pickles or sauce on it. WHAT?! How did you forget this?! But still, even without those, are you guys not smashing any season into your burger? I feel like I've discovered a conspiracy on par with the Da Vinci Code, which if I'm honest I'm not sure if that's a proper conspiracy analogy bc I never saw or read da Vinci code. Sucking a ketchup packet would've resulted in a more flavorful dinner. Licking a Hollywood blvd sidewalk for 3 seconds would give you a better sodium intake. But I digress. For health and digestive reasons (bc my digestive system is not really functional) I snuck in a radish to eat post burger. I am not kidding when I say the grocery store GMO Monsanto radish had more flavor than the burger. The sweet potato fries were the "highlight" of the meal and tasted as good as anything you'll get in a grocery store frozen aisle. There's no reason to ever go back.

Yet, the combined culinary vision of…read moreDon and Steve (Arroyo), paired with his staff's execution, consistently delivers the comfort and precision of a true greasy-spoon classic served in a cozy street side setting that feels like a long-standing neighborhood fixture. The Oklahoma burger never misses: hearty beef folded into a heap of caramelized onions, forming a rich, savory harmony of texture and umami. A pillowy King's Hawaiian roll barely contains the indulgence, surrendering at the edges under the weight of the bite. The fries arrive crisp and golden earthy in color and flavor, as satisfying to look at as they are to eat. Soon, Nuge will introduce a beer line of his own, and I suspect it will pair beautifully with the menu. Until then, a Mexi-Coke quenches the post-burger thirst just fine. And then there's the staff. Respect is the culture here. As kitchen manager Alejandro Juarez puts it: "It costs us nothing to be kind." Live by that creed, and you'll be welcomed like a regular -- even on your first visit. On that note, after I mentioned that I'm a fellow Oklahoma native, Alejandro personally went out of his way to ensure a simple request became a memorable experience. The kind of gesture you'd expect from a brother. Because of that, I can't think of another place I'd rather invest my money when the craving for a great local burger strikes. P.S: Thanks Nuge. They say don't meet your heroes, but, to paraphrase a comment on your episode of Epicly Latered: "Imagine all of your friends call you a winner and the best. Be like Nuge." You're an Oklahoma icon.
