After waiting more than 20mins and I noticed people that came in after us were getting their food, I went up to ask about our order. And they said they did not have it. Their lemonade/blue and red drinks are so delicious, though a little sweet. My husband ordered while I grabbed a table outside and waited for our friends to join. There was a decent amount of seating outside, with some inside as well, but the shop itself was a little smaller. There is also a walk up window for online/mobile orders. I am a big Nipsey fan & have had this spot on my list for a while. Each time I tried to make a trip the line was insane. Finally made the trip & found the line was reasonable enough to join! Parking is a bit of a hassle at this location. I think it's all about luck so probably just plan to take some time looking for parking. My boyfriend & I came with an appetite so we ordered quite a few things. We tried the OG Burger combo, fried shrimp, wings & fries. I also got the blue lemonade. The star of the show for me was the burger, I really enjoyed it. Flavorful, & just enough meat on it. I enjoyed the fried shrimp quite a bit as well! Just wish they offered hot sauce with it but I would definitely get it again. The wings were a bit dry but still had flavor. We took the food to go so the fries did get a little soggy, will have to give those a review next time when they are fresh. We waited quite a bit for our food, probably about 35-40 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. I love the ambiance of the place. The staff was super nice & chatty. I've met Nipsey back in 2014 and still hold the beloved photo I have with him. We were listening to his music when he was still on his way up and will forever "Double Up" on that. I finally got the chance to try this legacy establishment as I've been eager to try this one. Marathon burger just happened to be a vendor at a major event I participated in and worked for. I've tried their vegan burger option and it was hearty good. It came with this amazing sauce. The fries were just enough to complete the meal like any other typical fries. The burger was the main head if anything lol The staff on hand showed their strong work ethic at this event. Props to their team! I will say they are worth doing business with for your next event. We stopped by Marathon Burger in Los Angeles while at the convention center. Service was great. We ordered their smash burger, and it did not disappoint. The double patty was stacked with cheese, ketchup, mustard, and pickles on a soft brioche bun. I've been wanting to try marathon burger since it opened! I've always been a Nipsey fan and we all miss him rip! We came on a Monday morning when they first opened. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. I'm on a diet so we got the Jr burgers with fries, onion rings and an Arnold Palmer. The burgers were made fresh on the grill and the onion rings and fries were nice and hot, everything was delicious 10/10 even the ranch and spicy ranch. The jr size burgers are filling enough. It's great location on Melrose, the seating is limited so I suggest getting there early. They're are 2 other locations and another one opening in Long Beach march 1st. First I'd like to say if you aren't a fan of peppers Fresno peppers to be exact tell them to hold them. Unfortunately I didn't read what came on the burger, I didn't like the pepper combination at all. For starters my vegan patty was super cold, I was so disappointed although the peppers were hot. It didn't help me with the cold patty. Since this is the house patty it is made with potatoes and rice. Neither one of those ingredients are good cold, unless the potatoes are in a potato salad! Other than that please pay attention to the cook time on this patty. It was literally falling off in clumps. They do have another vegan option the mushroom burger. I just wanted to see how the house patty tasted. Service was great! Friendly staff, the location is pretty tiny. You can order for pick up, luckily it wasn't too packed! We were able to order and got the food in like 20 minutes. The wings 5/5 we got a 12 piece half mild and half lemon pepper mild. Fried to perfection omg they were super yummy! I loved the onion rings and fries! Those onion rings had a crunch that made you wanting another bite! Fries shoestring style with the perfect crisp as well. One thing for sure they have perfected the crisp and crunch! Now I was disappointed the cheesecake dessert wasn't available because of a broken stove! Now listen here listen here! Being this is a tourist attraction the entire menu should be available or offer another dessert that can be cooked without the oven like a banana pudding. I was lucky to walk right up and order on a late Saturday afternoon. I ordered the marathon burger combo and mild wings. We ordered to go but as I waited for my food at the counter we decided to eat there. The burger was good, I was expecting the fries to wow me because people have been raving about them but they were just regular seasoned fries. The wings were good and they were small which I like. I can't stand the jumbo wings. The blue lemonade was good also. The restaurant is clean. They have outdoor seating and a long counter where you can eat. When it's crowded a lot of people stand inside to wait for the order so that can be uncomfortable to have people standing around you while you eat. Luckily, the day I went there wasn't a lot of people standing around and they were getting the orders out quick. I had been wanting to check Marathon Burger out for awhile after hearing decent reviews and comments but the location on Melrose was kind of a deterrent for a while just due to it being out of the way. But I made my way over and parking was tougher with it being on a main street in a popular area but I was able to find parking in the area. The ambiance immediately was inviting from the decoration along with the service being very helpful during my whole visit. After finishing the food, I felt that the blueberry lemonade and the bun of the burger was really the best while the fries were a bit overseasoned but not bad and everything else was just ok. Omg love love love Marathon Burger!! And I'm not even a burger girl! I was getting my nails done and was starvinggg. As I was leaving the nail shop, I saw a line across the street and was intrigued. I'd heard of Marathon, because, of course, Nipsey Hussle (RIP), so decided to get in the line. It started with amazing customer service from the super friendly and attentive grill masters. They offered to let me sit in the patio dining area, but I declined since they said my order would only take 5-10 minutes. It was ready when they said it would be, and they adhered to my modification request even though the menu sign said "no modifications" in large letters (my bad! I didn't see that 'til after). When I got to my car I bit into the softest, most delicious toasted brioche bun and most flavorful wagyu patties (all burgers come with 2 patties except for the Jr. burger), literally EVER. It was perfectly sauced (KEY), and they even include a little container of extra house burger sauce, which was NOT NEEDED (a miraculous statement coming from me). A friendly attitude and a bit more enthusiasm can go a long way in making customers feel welcome. -I'd recommend switching to a electronic system for taking orders instead of writing them down by hand. My meal was missing a couple of items, probably because they weren't written down clearly. Using a tablet or POS system could help make sure everything gets to the cooks correctly and nothing's missed. Just something to consider to keep things running smoothly. Visiting Marathon Burger was everything I expected it to be as Nip fan and I'm glad I had the experience during this trip to LA. I went on a Sunday afternoon and you could feel the vibes from the sidewalk. Neighborhood Nip playing on the speakers and all walks of life - tourists, fans, locals, and more were enjoying themselves and the food. I had the Marathon burger combo meal with a side of fries and an AP (Arnold Palma) for the drink. The size of the burgers are what you expect from a smash burger establishment except the beef is wagyu. Quality beef and seasoned well! They also offer wings and to my surprise, breakfast options. I'll have to come back and try the lemon pepper fasho. Depending on the time of day it can either be really busy or have some low traffic moments. They offer a small, uncovered dining area outdoors at this location as well as about 12 - 14 countertop seats inside. All the staff are pleasant and you can tell they are passionate about playing their role in the customer experience. My only critique was that my pickiness of my burger toppings caused my order to be passed up in the queue and ultimately forgotten until I asked the cashier for an update ~45 mins later after seeing people who ordered after me receiving their meals. India Love was also stopping by to get food during that time so I blame some of it on her as well lol. They were extremely professional and apologetic about the wait and offered me a cup of the blue crack for the oversight. Warning, the blue crack is sweeeeeeet but overall a nice gesture. I could handle spice but it was a little too much for my liking and what I ordered. My homie who's been here before also said they were hotter than the last time. I wanna give them another chance. However, and i know it's not their fault, waiting 90 minutes for 90 seconds of eating bliss, just isn't worth it for me. This place is so popular, that unless you have pull with somebody on the inside, or if you can boss your teenage kids/siblings to do it for you, I just can't see waiting that long for a burger. Unique burger spot on Melrose! I visited this burger spot for a week night dinner and my experience here was pretty solid. I ordered the Marathon Burger Combo and it was decent. The burger was nice and meaty with tanginess and crispness from the pickles, peppers and mustard. The brioche bun was soft. My favorite part were the fries which were perfectly fried and seasoned. They weren't too salty. For my drink, I got the blue lemonade which was tasty, but a bit too sweet. For $20, I'd say it's a decent value for what you get. The burger restaurant is located on a busy street with only street parking which can be tricky. Thankfully, I found some free parking in a nearby neighborhood, but park at your own risk. The interior and exterior are pretty nice and retro. They even have a security guard stationed at the restaurant. My friend also told me the bathroom was pretty clean when she used it. This review is from someone who didn't have to stand in that long line outside. And honestly... sorry to everyone IN line because it ain't worth that wait. First problem: it's Melrose. So before you even think about a burger you gotta find parking, which already feels like part of the challenge just to get food. I went in blind -- didn't research, didn't know what was good -- so I just got the OG burger, fries, and a Dr Pepper. They don't give you the drink right away, so you're just standing there awkwardly while your food cooks. Also weird rule: if you sit outside your food comes wrapped up in a bag like takeout. You only get a tray if you're eating inside. Cool I guess? Finally get the bag and the drink -- which has WAY too much ice. Ice is good though, love me some pebble ice. Sit outside where the music is still loud but at least survivable and start eating. It's a smash burger. And it's expensive. Like... we gotta chill with the expensive smash burgers already. We got there around 6 so it was pretty packed but cleared out fairly quickly so we didn't stand around waiting for very long to sit. We did however wait a LONG time to get our food. The orders didn't go in chronological order by any means. I saw nearly everyone else get their orders before we got ours. This was even after my dad went up to ask if we had somehow missed our order being called. It took at least 45 mins to get our food. Again, it was far less busy when we sat & waited than it had been when we originally arrived. & people who ordered & arrived after us got their food before we did. I finally got to try the popular Marathon Burger, so I went on and ordered the burger named after the place. I got a combo so I got fries and a drink (kool-aid) as well. The Marathon burger was pretty good. I really liked the peppers, it was a different touch but delicious. I really like the cheese and the type of bread used (brioche buns), it really brought the flavors together. They did forget to add grilled onions on my burger though :( other thank that, everything was pretty good. Free water was available outside. On a separate occasion I got the hot wing basket which is a wing combo. I got hot with lemon pepper. They were decent. The place does get crowded and busy, and the food is made fresh, so it could take roughly 20-30mins to get our food on a weekday afternoon. I appreciate the staff, they are attentive and helpful. After being at Universal Studios all day with the wife and kids I was ready to get this burger combo. When I tell you my order was ready in 10 minutes. Took my food back to the hotel and when I tell you....MY BURGER WAS EVERYTHING! I didn't expect the peppers and secret sauce to make this burger so phenomenal but My God it was everything! What a fantastic find on Melrose Ave. The smash burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes and lemonade all were fantastic!! They saved a marriage by bringing another milkshake. Limited inside seating at the bar and also some outside seating. Service was fast with the ordering and just as fast in the cooking and delivering. My strawberry shake was among the best I have had recently. The cooking team was in sync and provided consistently excellent food for every customer. Clean inside and out. Glad we stopped by this place. The line was out the door when we got there. You were able to order in the express line outside for select menu items or inside for the full menu. It was on the list to try and it did not disappoint. I had the Marathon burger combo with blue lemonade. The burger was cooked to perfection and the peppers added were so flavorful. I liked the special sauce too. The fries were crispy. The lemonade was good, but overly sweet. Everything was made fresh. The service was fine. It took a long time to get our food and we even saw people who ordered after us receive their food first. That was annoying. It was definitely a vibe in there. Really disappointed with this place. It took forever to get our food, and the whole time we were just sitting there waiting with barely any updates. What made it worse is that once the food finally came out, there was basically no one else in the restaurant, so it's not like they were slammed. Just frustrating overall and definitely not the experience we were expecting. Do not recommend for a quick eat. Go somewhere else. read more

I came to this location 3 times. The first time the line was wrapped around the corner so we left. The second time I was prepared for the line! We stood in line for about an hour. Got inside. Waited another 20 minutes for the food. The food was really good! I got the buffalo lemmon pepper wings, and I also tried the burger! I can't remember which one but it was REALLY good! 10/10. Good enough I came back to stand in line again. I tried to order through door dash online to beat the line, I ended up waiting longer than the people who stood in line. This time the food was more of a 5/10. I got two burgers and two fries with a lemonade and shake. I definitely waited an hour and thirty minutes. The food is great but the wait isn't. read more
