We went anyway, even though there was nothing extra special to celebrate but life, health and friendship. First off, finding parking was insane- and there was filming across the street taking up nearly all the parking for blocks- I tried. just Valet it rather than walk 6 blocks in heels. Entering this place for the first time, I was enchanted, - treated like a VIP from the parking staff, the door security, host team and servers. Our table was next to the fire place and under the open sky. I could see immediately why this place is loved for the romantic and charming ambiance. We'd planned to share a few plates but then found the prix fix menu and that made it easy. Half a fresh baguette and soft delicious butter with balsamic arrived and it was amazing. The appetizers arrived, heirloom tomatoes with burrata were the best I've had in L.A. and my friend ate most of it himself. Tuna tartar was good. Next the entrees- steak frites for me and the braised short rib for him. The steak was huge filet mignon, with a side of delicious French fries. One suggestion- eat the French fries as hot as possible. They were great and I almost missed them, focused on the steak and sharing the braised short rib with pomme puree and a mushroom sauce that was excellent. The portions were unexpectedly generous. I did not have a lot of room for dessert, but creme brûlée a sticky toffee cake were just incredible. I can't wait to come back with a less fussy dinner guest because he made what would have been an epic first visit less enjoyable than it could have been. Thanks to the several wait staff and manager who accommodated above and beyond. This place is my new favorite L.A. restaurant! I highly recommend you bring your special people to this special place.

Had a reservation, but the restaurant was very busy, so we were seated outside on a patio, which was fine. Started off with an amuse consisting of a sparkling rose and a whipped, creamy mixture of goat cheese, pecans, chives and aleppo pepper. The rose was rose, it was a small sipping glass, while the whipped treat was alright, interesting but presentation was very basic. For the real meal, we started with bigeye tuna tartare and the pork belly and watermelon. The pork belly was perfect, nice and crispy on the outside, juicy inside, while the watermelon gave a pop of sweetness to cut the savory of the pork belly. The tartare was equally as good with pickled ginger, avocado and ponzu sauce with crispy wontons. For entrees we went with the langostino fettuccine and the braised short rib. The short rib fell apart perfectly and had good flavor to it. It didn't necessarily come off as memorable but it was good. The langostino fettuccine was great, good amount of langostino in a vodka sauce giving a little spicy note to the dish. Very good. To end the meal we had the apple cobbler and the molten cake. The cobbler came with vanilla ice cream and candied walnuts. Nice overall bite. The molten cake was the opposite of molten, missing that runny gooeyness in the middle. Overall, great ambiance, good food and pleasant staff. I'd say skip the molten cake and up to you on the short rib.

They have some amazing musicians come through here doing jam sessions & full-on concerts. The ambiance is lively & great service. The only drawback I found is the size of the venue. The venue is small, every seat has a good view of the stage. They are very organized in accommodating seat arrangements so you can sit with your friends. The menu is simple and specializes in LOADED baked potatos. It's a hearty meal with the proteins, veggies, sauces and cheese. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad, which had a good ratio of protein and crisp veggies. Our server was quick and on top of her game! There is a two-drink minimum, be prepared to order and make your purchase before the show begins. I had two lemon-drop martinis. They were shaken, not stirred with a sugar rim. I liked the mix of sweet and sourness of the lemons. Order tickets on their website, an email will be sent with the bar-code for admission. There is a small service charge, which I felt was reasonable. Thank you, John, Te-see, Doug, Dominick, and Nancy for coming out for a fun night and lots of laughs. Notes: - Metered street parking til 8pm. - Credit Cards accepted - Indoor or Patio seating - Loud and fun atmosphere Sincerely, Rosemary

Went out on a Tuesday to meet with friends from out of town. Place had a really nice vibe and music. We sat outside on the patio and it was perfect weather. The drinks were awesome, the food was good and it came out really quick too. But what made it special was the service here. I went to the bar to order food for the patio and then I started seeing people line up to order in the middle of the bar. By the time I realized I was already now 10th in line. Before the line could move, the bartender named Amanda called over "Hey! I saw you here first before everyone. I'll take your order first." We all know how chaotic bartending can be so for her to do that really stuck out to me and I appreciated the thought and consideration. She didn't have to do that at all, but did! It was her and Shauna making drinks that night and the service was top notch! Fast forward to the end of the night, I completely forgot a pair of my favorite shades there. I called the next morning expecting absolutely nothing and for them to be gone. The manager Dominick takes my info and description of the glasses and says he doesn't see them but he'll call me back. Over the course of maybe the next 15 or 20 mins and several phone calls, he is reviewing security cam footage to see what happened to my shades and find out if they were picked up and where they were stored for lost & found pickup. Never in my life have I gotten this kind of response before when losing something. I even felt bad for taking up his time but he was committed to finding them and eventually located me in the security footage and left them with a note for me to pickup. A solid place like this will always be a great choice for food and drinks, no matter what day or occasion. Awesome food and drinks with an incredible staff!

Love how often the menu is updated! Always exciting to revisit!…read more Smoked Trout Tostada - Flavorful Indian spices are impressively deep and harmonize with smoked trout so well. Crispy papadan and creamy dressing add perfect texture. One of the best things I've had in a while, WOW! Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio - Ingredients blend flawlessly...clean, but nuanced. Like the subtle decadence of avocado. Delicate balance of fresh ingredients sings. Bright tomato and mild texture works. Doesn't need to be innovative since it's done so competently. Saag Burrata - One bite of the creamy saag is enough to float home on a pillow! All I want lol but the burrata, cilantro, and herbed toast do assist without taking away. The highest class spinach dip you've ever had omg! Got some skewers from Vey in Back...the use of fresh mint with steak was brilliant. Harissa elevated chicken hearts, but there was a bit too much going on. Freezer Greenpoint - hesitated by the $31 but went for it after talking to bartender and I gotta say, it feels like it's worth the money.

This dark, hole-in-the-wall bar serves excellent drinks and innovative twists on classics, with Oy Bar's special touch to make this a unique SFV find. Their staple wagyu pastrami quesadillas have a pronounced comforting cheese flavor with a touch of jalapeño bite. The tortilla has an interesting texture, one which I'm not sure I liked or disliked as it appeared dry, even with the fatty pastrami. The Peruvian scallop sashimi was fresh, with layers of flavor and textures from the passion fruit sauce, cavior and thinly sliced red peppers. The cured salmon yaki onigiri is rice heavy; the salmon was fresh and beautifully dressed. We also had the mango rum ice cream which was perhaps my least favorite order. The rum was heavy and made the ice cream slightly bitter and the mango flavors was masked.

I usually pick my own restaurants, thank you very much - but my friend knows my tastes, and she also knows restaurants... and so when she suggested this place from badass former Top Chef contestant Antonia Lofaso, I was like: let's see if her food is as good as she boasted it was on TV! Verdict: it slapped! First of all, they have a hella good happy hour, until *6:30 pm*, Monday - Sunday. Is that generous or what? We ordered at 6:25 and they still hooked us up. *Full craft cocktails* only $8 during that time. We decided to double up LOL, get 2. I tried the Hand Maid and the Southern Cawing. I think that if I'd gotten one of the cocktails from their regular menu (like Piccolo Punch, $19), it might have been more interesting - but these were very solid. And where are you going to get 2 craft cocktails for $8 each? Food: we got the corn fritters from the HH menu: 4 hulking delicious fritters for $8. Yes, please! We then decided to split 2 apps from the regular menu: brussel sprouts and the hamachi app. Both were unique and tasty. And then I got for myself (cuz my friend doesn't love smoked fish like I do) Smoked ocean trout, ciabatta, pickled baby veg, arugula, dill shallot aioli- $25. It was on a toast, and super filling. Overall, the patio was great (sun in our eyes at that time, but they pulled the shades down) - the servers were super nice - the valet was easy - and Antonia's food was great! I'd definitely come here again if I'm in Studio City. And my friend did good!
