Ordered two medium bowls, one with spicy tuna and salmon and one with albacore and scallops. Of the proteins, I would skip the scallop and salmon was the clear winner. Scoops are a smidge small compared to the base but the unlimited toppings help balance it out. The toppings were all fresh - especially loved the edamame, cucumber, fried garlic and shallots, seaweed salad and crab meat. Sauces sort of blend together if I remember right, you can only choose 2 and I did wish there was a bit more sauce. Dynamite and ponzu wasabi are my top picks.

Small Bowl (2 Scoops) with salad

We enjoyed our poke bowls, my favorite was the salmon. I ordered a small with salad. I like their sweet unagi sauce with sesame & shoyu. I love all the unlimited add-ons like edamame, corn, pineapple, red onion, cucumber, seaweed, sesame seeds, furikake, fried garlic & shallots. You get 1 free scoop of masago & krabmeat. It's a lot of food for a small bowl. Or you can pay an extra $2 for medium bowl & get 3 scoops of protein instead of 2. They have a few tables & chairs for dine-in or you can get it to-go.

Way to feel unwelcomed. I originally wanted to try the noodle restaurant next door but they hadn't opened yet so I decided to give Poki Bar a try. Also, they didn't have any customers so I thought I'd support their business. On my way in, I saw a promotion on the window for 20% online pick-up orders. I began browsing their menu on my phone to place an order and one of their employees tried to kick me out for looking at my phone in front of their restaurant. Like seriously, there was no one else there, why so rude? Instead of asking me if I needed any help ordering, they tried to ask me to leave. Since I was already there, I placed an order anyway. The food was mediocre, flavorless and portions were small. Scallop tastes like it was sitting around and was warm. I won't be coming back nor recommending this place to anyone.

I love how bomb my poke bowl came out. I was helped by Sarah who was super friendly and patient. She walked me through everything and helped me get my bowl to perfection. Thank you so much! Also, the inside is really clean and music wasn't extra loud. Made everything better.

Sad this used to be my favorite spot when I was in highschool and I just moved back to the area. Size wise is awful smallest bowl I've seen for poke and came out to $18.22 not worth I've had huge platters large size for that price lol. Fish quality isn't there anymore doesn't seem fresh.

What's up: Had a craving for poke and did a search nearby to see what was around. Parking: Located at Arcadia Hub Shopping Center, parking is plentiful along the shared businesses. Environment: Limited outdoor seating is available. Since I placed an online order ahead of time, I was able to grab and go. There was one staff member working the counter. The place is clean and simple and the menu is displayed on the right wall. What was ordered: - Nari Bu: Dynamite Salmon w/Furikake, Spicy Garlic Shrimp w/ Green Onions, Garlic Spicy Tuna w/ Unagi Sauce, Spicy Garlic Tofu w/ Red Onions (yummy and unique but the tofu was a bit bland) - CaLee Bowl (California roll in a bowl. Mix it up for to make it yummy and creamy) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Food was good and ready when I arrived. The Nari Bu was interesting and unique. And I was pleasantly surprised by the CaLee Bowl. Overall, things were good. Credit cards and ApplePay are accepted.

I've been coming here regularly since 2016 and am disappointed in the steep price increase and shrinkflation in portion size over the years. The poke here is delicious but $40 for 2 small bowls is not worth my money anymore.

The only thing that wowed me was the portion size and not in a good way. The medium size which is 3 scoops is pretty much the same size as my palm and I don't have big hands by any means. The beef bowl was even smaller! Lol so if you're a hungry person, this is not the spot for you. I've had better tasting poke for better price and bigger portions. I added shrimps for one of the scoops and I think they put like a handful of miniature pieces. They were tiny!!! I think these portions are made for people on a diet. I am far from being on a diet so it's a no from me.

Large - 5 scoops poke and 4 piece Inari sushi
Ann C.

I love it when my BF finishes the gym at the same plaza and brings poke home for dinner. He also brought the 4 piece of inari sushi. The Large Poke 5 Scoops comes with plenty of fresh fish. It's big enough for both of us to share. Although the inari sushi was good, it was a little too sweet and the rice was a little too wet for my liking. If we get it again, I probably would tell them to go easy on the sauce.

I really appreciate the Edomae-style approach, where each piece feels balanced and intentional rather than overly sauced or overly modified. The flavors are clean, and the sushi lets the quality of the fish speak for itself. Service is polite and efficient. It does get busy during lunch, but the staff still keeps things moving and the experience feels organized. The decor is fresh, clean, and simple. They offer both sushi bar and table seating. If you sit at the sushi bar, you can watch the skillful chefs carefully prepare each piece, which makes the meal feel even more special. I have not tried dinner yet, but based on my lunch experience, I would definitely recommend Sushi Kisen if you appreciate authentic Japanese sushi in the Arcadia area.

Parking can be tight during busy hours, and phone service felt a little rushed during dinner time. Togo orders must be ordered online. We ordered takeout from Sushi Kisen after craving sushi, and it ended up being much more filling than expected. The premium chirashi dinner comes with a generous portion of rice and a great variety of fresh sashimi, while the deluxe sushi dinner is the perfect amount for my husband. The rice is perfectly seasoned, and the fish tastes incredibly fresh. The uni stands out. It was buttery, clean, and not fishy at all, which says a lot because I normally don't order uni. The sides are also delicious and make the meal feel more complete, including pickled vegetables, acorn jelly, and steamed vegetables/sweet potato. Even though we ordered takeout, the restaurant gives off a relaxing and chill ambience that makes me want to come back and try the omakase in person. There's a small shared parking lot with several nearby shops and restaurants, so I can see parking being difficult during peak dinner hours. The lady helping us on the phone also doesn't seem very patient, although it may have just been because we called during the dinner rush. One small complaint is the packaged wasabi, which looks noticeably old and dark green compared to the bright green fresh wasabi included separately. Overall, though, the quality and freshness of the food easily stand out.

Our group of 6 adults went shortly after 6pm on a rainy Saturday and were seated rather quickly. The restaurant is spacious and about 75% full. By the time we left, there was a small group of people waiting to be seated. The servers were humans and robots. The food....excellent! Presentation and quality were incredible. Time between food ordered and arriving to our table was very reasonable but not too fast that made you wonder if it was already made just sitting in the back. Our party of 6 ordered spicy tuna crispy rice, avocado rolls, Mikomi special role, Firecracker roll, age dashi tofu, Lady Marmalade, ultimate salmon roll, mango special roll, and a ramen bowl that I did not get the name of (our friend ordered). No pics to post, but a sushi spot worth checking out!

This time, there was a hair in one of our rolls. When we pointed it out to the server, they just pulled it out and apologized, no offer to replace the food. The meals came out one at a time, the last person received their meal 25 minutes after the first person. After waiting for a few minutes while things got cold, we decided to start. By the time the last person's meal arrived, everyone else was almost done. This is by FAR the most expensive sushi place in the area, and the service just doesn't match the price. The food is ok, good even (except for the hair) but for a $150 bill for 4 before tip, I expected more thoughtful service.

There are limited booth seating (about 4 booths), one larger table, and roughly a dozen counter seats. We were a party of 4 with another group of 3 expected at the counter, so we were told next availability would be 7pm. But the owner (also the sushi/master chef) stepped in and offered to squeeze in an extra chair for us at the bar. We happily said yes, and that pretty much set the tone for the night. The ambiance is a cute, homey Japanese-style spot. It's calm and quiet enough to actually have a conversation, which I really appreciated. The owner was also cracking jokes throughout the night and kept everyone entertained, which made the experience feel even more personal. Food highlights: * Eihire (seared stingray fin) - 9/10. Great drinking snack, just wish there was more. * Grilled Angus beef tongue - 9/10. Tender with a really good jalapeño sauce. * Hokkaido uni tray with roasted nori - 10/10. Favorite dish of the night, easily. * Chicken liver, gizzard, and hearts in sweet soy - 10/10. Super rich and flavorful. * Whole grilled seabass - 9.5/10. Perfectly cooked, but could've used more ponzu. * Sous vide + grilled duck breast - 8/10. Solid, especially with salt and hot mustard. The mashed potatoes and roasted veggies on the side were . * Deep fried eel with ponzu - 7/10. Decent, but didn't stand out compared to the other dishes. * Sashimi (amberjack, hamachi, toro, sweet shrimp) - overall great. The sweet shrimp and fried head were 10/10, but the hamachi didn't quite match the rest. Also wish they gave more ginger upfront. * Roasted 5 kinds of vegetables - 7/10. Tasty but a bit pricey for the portion. * Sea snail - the only dish we wouldn't reorder. Not bad, just not our preferred style. Service was excellent. Our server gave great recommendations, kept our water filled, and checked in often without being overbearing. This is a 5-star spot largely because of the owner. Super down to earth, funny, and clearly passionate about both the food and the experience. Parking is free in a shared lot with other businesses. It's a decent size, so should be manageable. Definitely recommend making a reservation (they only take phone reservations)... but even if you don't, there's a good chance they'll still find a way to take care of you. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.
