This is my second time here. Quite disappointed. Food: Everything tasted fine. The meats were thicker cuts. The vegetable bar looked very unsanitary. Everything was easily mixed together. Mushrooms were in the cabbage bin, kale were found in the tofu bins etc. The curry + rice tasted good. The soups were okay, but they were definitely lacking flavor. While eating the meats, I found a piece of plastic buried within the cuts. It was pretty disturbing on top of everything else. Drinks: The sodas tasted fine. I tried the Tokyo melon and cola. They were sweet and refreshing. Service: Our server was kind, but it seems like they're pretty understaffed. She was extremely busy, and we would have a hard time flagging her. She was speed walking back and forth most of the time. Parking: There's a free parking lot in the back of the plaza. Lots of space. Overall: Make sure you have a reservation. For around $50 AYCE, I feel like I could've had a better experience elsewhere. The workers looked stressed out/overworked. The cuts of meat were pretty thick. The AYCE bar looked unsanitary. The options were also quite less than most other AYCE shabu restaurants.

AYCE place. Fresh and keep it coming! Meal time is limited to 90mins so you don't get seated until everyone in your party arrives and clock would start ticking then. My favorite soup base here is sukiyaki with chuck eye. They also provide raw egg when ask. Those eggs are huge with orange yolk. The meal also comes with a scope of ice cream to end the experience. Table, countertop and floor is clean. Servers are friendly and responsive. Covered parking in the back.

It's become a tradition to celebrate New Year's Eve dinner at Mo Mo Paradise with my in-laws, and this year was our first time visiting the Arcadia location. We had a 6:30pm reservation and were seated shortly after arriving, which was much appreciated on a busy NYE evening. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, with ample free parking in the parking structure (huge plus!). Mel was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and somehow managing five tables at once without missing a beat. She cleared our table promptly and stayed on top of taking and checking in on our order the entire time. You could tell she really cared about providing great service, even during a rush. Weekend dinner is $38.99/pp. You can also add the non-alcoholic drink bar for $3.55 per person, featuring sodas, teas, juices, boba, adzuki beans, and coffee jelly. Overall, a great experience at Arcadia vs Rowland Heights. We'll definitely be back to this location again.

My first time at momo & wow, it is sooo DELICIOUS! They have a variety of sides you can freely grab & also a make your own sauce/grab your own drinks on the side. I love the choice of choosing between different broths. My side of the table ordered sukiyaki & tonkotsu broth. Sukiyaki is a sweeter, savory broth while tonkotsu is a creamy pork bone broth. I do prefer the tonkotsu because it match my taste buds more, but the sweeter broth was a great change and they give you broth water on the side if flavor is too strong or your soup evaporates. The sauces they offer blends so nicely with the meat. They also gives you a raw egg go stir and dip with your meat the japanese way. Meat quality was fresh & amazing, cannot complain, I had a great time! Service was friendly & they give you icecream at the end which is perfect hehe, loved it here & would definitely come again , great atmosphere, I love japanese shabu-shabu!

Honestly this might be the best restaurant in 626 It's currently my only 10/10 on Beli. It also ruined boiling point for me Meat quality is good for base menu but if you wanna bump a 8/10 experience to 10/10 get the wagyu menu. Wagyu flavor and pasteurized egg as the sauce is mind blowing I think I've been here 3 times in the last month Also love Melissa , always treats us really well when we come !

Perfect for 4 people. Each pot has two individual slots - so you can pick your own broth.

We've wanted to try this place for awhile but never made it here. We finally made reservation and were so happy with their service, food, cleanliness, and the freshness of the meat and veggies. They even have fresh kale! Adrianna is the BEST server - she took the time to explain the menu, was so pleasant, and always had a smile on her face regardless of how busy she was. The restaurant has a 90 minute policy and they start the clock once they seat you. It's all you can eat but drinks are extra. There's no fish or seafood option. Only beef and pork. Reservation is highly recommended and all party must be present to be seated. Walk-in spots are very limited. There's a parking structure in the plaza. We will definitely come back. Thank you Adrianna for making our first experience at MoMo so pleasant!

It got full easily during dinner time, so it's better to make a reservation if you know when you're arriving. There's a parking you can enter from the back of building. We choose the regular meal option which has 5 meat options. Overall good quality! Friendly staff too.

Love this location! Adrianna was a great and friendly server. She was super attentive and quick! Brandon was also super helpful and friendly! The veggies were super fresh and always stocked up when I made a trip to the farmers market. The meat came out quick and we were completely full before we even made it to our 60 minutes.

First, our server Bailey was really good and on top of making sure to check in on the table so S/O to Bailey! Been to Mo-Mo a few times now (as well as many other AYCE hot pot places,) and IMO, what makes Mo-Mo unique is that the include drinks in the price of the meal and they also offer a beef curry that you can eat on top of rice. I'm not a big fan of the ponzu sauce nor sesame dipping sauces and you have to ask for soy sauce but the dipping sauce profiles are definitely more Japanese than Chinese if you're familiar with the nuances. I think the curry may be the best dipping sauce? And, they have pork balls next to the fish balls which I also thought were great! Check out my pics!

What's better than hot comforting soup belly hotpot on a gloomy cold winter day?! Came here on a weekday for the lunch special and it was the best. A little crowded but foods awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful. Menu has very easy to choose selections and descriptions on how to eat so it's pretty cool even for newcomers. I chose the sukiyaki and tonkotsu. Started with every meat they have for Momo option which is the only one you can choose from lunch special option. It was amazing. We didn't do the aycd option since there's a 85 degree right next to this place which what we are going to get after. Check out the pics I posted and your mouth will water.

Tracy D.

Highly recommend that you make reservations because it does get busy. Very family-friendly service. The meats were so good. My favorite was the pork shoulder. You can choose from three different types of broths and load up on veggies from the self- serve bar. Everything was orderly. It does get loud when it gets packed but that's part of the fun.

Randy G.

This place other than pretty pricey is pretty good overall. I don't like the cheap tongs they use though because you really can't grasp much food to your plate at times.... Clean and good staff...fresh veggies and other items to choose from. Good soup bases I got a Vegetarian Tonkatsu and my friend got the I think it is beef Tonkatsu ... I think you have about 90 minute window to eat...but they don't kick you out if it isn't super busy..... I don't eat meat so I can't say much for that but my friend likes the offerings....so I'll go by that....

What is the current prices for lunch on a weekday?

$29.95 per person

Have they provided pasteurized eggs again or still not?

Hi! They've been out of pasteurized eggs the last few times I went. Last went about a week ago- still out

Can you dine solo or is it 2 or more only?

You CAN dine solo buuuuuut it is much harder for them to accommodate for a party of 1 during weekends or peak hours. I came in solo in a Sunday around 8:30 and there was no wait or reservation required. They DO prioritize reservations first, I… Read more

Is the shabu shabu soup vegan?

Yes. There is a vegan option

Do you offer Vegan options or cheaper price for vegetables only?

No vegan options as the options are limited. Contact the business directly to ask about pricing.

Does it need to make reservations?

It is best to make reservations otherwise you are left waiting until a table possibly open up if that happens.

Do any of their soup bases not contain gluten?

Nope. All contain gluten. I got a pot of boiling water.

Hello! do you have a vegetarian broth option?

Yes! I think there might be two options.

I'm a little confused with the menu, what is included with the base price? There's a double asterisk at the bottom corner specifying complimentary items but I don't think I saw any item with the double asterisk

Pretty much everything that's food, except the drinks. :) includes ice-cream as well!

Do you have gift certificate or card?

Yes, I believe they sell gift cards. Great present for whoever you plan on giving them to!

Does dinner ayce have better food or more options than lunch ayce?

Dinner AYCE now offers chicken and pork belly but the veggie and meatball, fish tofu and fish ball options are all the same.

I heard they charge an 18% service charge is that true?

Yes it is true

Is the shabu shabu soup base vegetarian?

Not 100% sure but you can always get very traditional Shabu Shabu soup base which is just water and kombu (kelp/seaweed) and that is vegetarian.

Is proof of vaccination required to eat here?

yes, need to show picture of vaccination card

Is it reservation only?

No, but highly recommend to make reservation on Yelp. Not sure about their lunch menu, but their dinner menu is AYCE & has a 90 min. time limit. If the restaurant is full, you might have to wait a while...I think they don't let you dine if it's too… Read more

Do you take walk-ins or is it reservation only?

RESERVATIONS ONLY. GOOD LUCK WALKING IN.

Hi do you have set hot pot on weekdays, non AYCE?

Yes, they have a $21.95 weekday lunch special that is non AYCE and comes with 2 plates of meat.

Do you do lunch non all you can eat on weekend?

I don't think they do. I'm here now on a Saturday for lunch and they only offered me $29.95/person all you can eat.

I'm wanting to make a reservation for 9 people, however your booking system only allows a max of 6 people. Is there a way for me to get a table for 9, or are we limited to 6 people?

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to since the tables are fixed seating. The tables have the grills built in.

Hello, I saw on TikTok that you guys do AYCE, is it true cuz I can't seem to find that info on Yelp page?

It is ayce

Definitely recommend requesting one if available. Started with the berry mojito and lemonade. The berry mojito was refreshing and loaded with real berries and mint, while the lemonade had a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. For appetizers, the popcorn chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with basil flavor. The crispy sweet chili wings were one of my favorite dishes of the night -- super crispy with a sweet and spicy glaze that kept me going back for more. We also ordered the honeycomb platter which came with a variety of small bites. My favorites were the tamago, scallops, and shrimp tempura. The ying yang ramen bowl was a great option because it lets you try both tonkotsu and miso ramen in one bowl. Rich broth, chewy noodles, and a perfectly jammy egg made it very satisfying. The omurice was another standout and came with a fun presentation tableside. The fluffy egg over fried rice paired really well with the pork tonkatsu on the side. Dessert was also solid. The matcha tiramisu had a nice matcha bitterness balanced by sweet cream, and the cherry blossom jelly was light, floral, and refreshing with a nice chew from the agar boba. Overall, a fun dining experience with a big menu, tasty food, and great ambiance. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

I really appreciate the Edomae-style approach, where each piece feels balanced and intentional rather than overly sauced or overly modified. The flavors are clean, and the sushi lets the quality of the fish speak for itself. Service is polite and efficient. It does get busy during lunch, but the staff still keeps things moving and the experience feels organized. The decor is fresh, clean, and simple. They offer both sushi bar and table seating. If you sit at the sushi bar, you can watch the skillful chefs carefully prepare each piece, which makes the meal feel even more special. Parking can be tight during busy hours, and phone service felt a little rushed during dinner time. Togo orders must be ordered online. We ordered takeout from Sushi Kisen after craving sushi, and it ended up being much more filling than expected. The premium chirashi dinner comes with a generous portion of rice and a great variety of fresh sashimi, while the deluxe sushi dinner is the perfect amount for my husband. The rice is perfectly seasoned, and the fish tastes incredibly fresh. The uni stands out. It was buttery, clean, and not fishy at all, which says a lot because I normally don't order uni. The sides are also delicious and make the meal feel more complete, including pickled vegetables, acorn jelly, and steamed vegetables/sweet potato. Even though we ordered takeout, the restaurant gives off a relaxing and chill ambience that makes me want to come back and try the omakase in person. There's a small shared parking lot with several nearby shops and restaurants, so I can see parking being difficult during peak dinner hours. The lady helping us on the phone also doesn't seem very patient, although it may have just been because we called during the dinner rush. One small complaint is the packaged wasabi, which looks noticeably old and dark green compared to the bright green fresh wasabi included separately. Overall, though, the quality and freshness of the food easily stand out.

There are limited booth seating (about 4 booths), one larger table, and roughly a dozen counter seats. We were a party of 4 with another group of 3 expected at the counter, so we were told next availability would be 7pm. But the owner (also the sushi/master chef) stepped in and offered to squeeze in an extra chair for us at the bar. We happily said yes, and that pretty much set the tone for the night. The ambiance is a cute, homey Japanese-style spot. It's calm and quiet enough to actually have a conversation, which I really appreciated. The owner was also cracking jokes throughout the night and kept everyone entertained, which made the experience feel even more personal. Food highlights: * Eihire (seared stingray fin) - 9/10. Great drinking snack, just wish there was more. * Grilled Angus beef tongue - 9/10. Tender with a really good jalapeño sauce. * Hokkaido uni tray with roasted nori - 10/10. The mashed potatoes and roasted veggies on the side were . * Deep fried eel with ponzu - 7/10. Decent, but didn't stand out compared to the other dishes. * Sashimi (amberjack, hamachi, toro, sweet shrimp) - overall great. The sweet shrimp and fried head were 10/10, but the hamachi didn't quite match the rest. Also wish they gave more ginger upfront. * Roasted 5 kinds of vegetables - 7/10. Tasty but a bit pricey for the portion. * Sea snail - the only dish we wouldn't reorder. Not bad, just not our preferred style. Service was excellent. Our server gave great recommendations, kept our water filled, and checked in often without being overbearing. This is a 5-star spot largely because of the owner. Super down to earth, funny, and clearly passionate about both the food and the experience. Parking is free in a shared lot with other businesses. It's a decent size, so should be manageable. Definitely recommend making a reservation (they only take phone reservations)... but even if you don't, there's a good chance they'll still find a way to take care of you.
