    Deluxe Tsukemen

This was Killer Noodle, then Tsujita, and now Tsuke! I'll always miss the extremely numbing and spicy noodles from Killer Noodle, but alas, it's not palatable to weak non spice eaters. But I digress. Set up and the way you eat the tsukemen. Dip the noodles, enjoy it with the slice of lime juice added in. Very rich strong broth, a bit salty but if you space it out with the noodles (chewy and delicious texture), making sure you get it to cover the noodles as much as you can, it events out. Can never go wrong with ramen soft gooey yolk eggs and the nori adds a bit of crunch so long as you keep it dry. Generous portion, a little bit more than halfway through I was getting full. Ambiance is a bit fancier and nicer looking with a bit more modern decor (similar to when they were Tsujita). I came on a weekday for a later lunch and there was no line or wait. Seated immediately, though there were a couple other customers. Staff were friendly and welcoming and food came out quickly too.

Came here right when it opened and was seated immediately. Got the egg tsukemen and it was delicious. They are pretty understaffed so there's only one server. As the restaurant got busier, service got slower. To no fault of the server though, there's just too many people to serve. Food is good but patience is key!

Got the deluxe soup and deluxe dip. Dip was way too salty for my liking. I had like 2 bites then ended up putting the noods in the soup instead. Chicken karage was overly fried. Would not order that again if I ever come back. Service was fairly quick given there was only one waiter. This parking lot can get a bit busy up top since it's shared w other shops but luckily I was able to snag a spot right outside. There's also parking downstairs.

Food is great, pricy but worth it for the quality They have side chili that is pretty spicy, very surprising for a ramen restaurant The karage and gyozas are good for appetizers

Tsuke is an artisan noodle house known for their unique specialty dish tsukemen which we've tried before they rebranded. But for our first visit after the rebrand, we tried the regular tonkotsu, the tantanmen, and some spicy gyoza. All were decent versions of these dishes, service was friendly and helpful, and the vibes were chill. Prices are a tad high for the portions and while our dishes were adequate, the tsukemen is definitely the way to go here.  Tsukemen is a dipping type of ramen where the savory hot broth is served separately and the thicker noodles (typically served cold) are dipped into it instead of immersed. It's a fun way to get some noodles and their tsukemen is excellent here - definitely what we'll return for. For starters we tried their spicy gyoza and these were fantastic - nicely fried gyoza with just the right amount of kick in the sauce - definitely would get these again.  I'm a sucker for any tan tan or dan dan noodle dishes so I couldn't resist trying theirs for my main lunch dish. Their version is more true to the Japanese style - blending an umami broth with slightly sweet peanut sauce for a savory/sweet combo. I think it's a quality dish if you love authentic tantanmen - but I'm personally not a fan of savory and sweet together so this isn't something I'd get again. Also, the ground pork was charred black and almost seemed burnt so I wasn't a fan of that. Hubby got the Ajitama tonkotsu ramen that comes with egg and thinly sliced pork. He said the flavor was good but he was not impressed with the portion size compared to the price. It did seem sort of small - definitely smaller than my tantanmen. So this isn't something we'd order again. We both got our spice level 1 and numbness level zero at the recommendation of the server (thank you!). Our dishes were very mild and next time I'd probably get spice level 2 and numbness 1 as I do like a little more kick to my noodle dishes and our current order was pretty mild (almost no kick at all).  Formerly known as Tsujita - they recently rebranded to Tsuke but under the same owners and mostly the same everything except a few new menu items. Vibes are lively and minimalist with warm colors - it's cozy and inviting. The servers are super nice and helpful.  They're located in a large shopping plaza - and even though there's plenty of parking in the garage below, it gets a little crazy up top with people circling and honking. Once we got down into the garage it was quiet with tons of empty spaces around noon on a weekday. I used to live nearby and this is a popular area that gets insane on the weekends so bring your patience.  All in all we had a decent visit and fondly remember the tsukemen when it was Tsujita so we'll likely return for more of that specialty noodle dish!

Getting tsukemen from here is a must. After all, tsukemen is their signature dish. Every bowl includes artisan noodles, lime, and a sheet of nori. A dipping broth is served on the side and is full of umami flavor. I highly recommend adding the soft boiled seasoned egg, which is delicious and has a wonderful texture. As for the chashu, it is tender and tasty. However, the real star is the delicious broth. The deluxe tsukemen is a great and popular choice to have some of everything. This is what my husband always orders. Each bowl is a decent portion size and is quite a filling dish. Service was excellent during my most recent visit. Our order was taken in a timely manner, while our food was served within 15 minutes and came out hot. It is also great that there is a large parking lot.

Came for dinner and had a great experience! Ordeded the deluxe tsukemen, tonkotsu ramen, takoyaki, and raspberry kakigori. They were all pretty solid with the tsukemen and kakigori being our favorites. The interior was nice and customer service was excellent as well. Highly recommend if you're craving some dipping noodles!

Came in for the Deluxe Tsukemen and it hit the spot. The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and the dipping sauce was rich, flavorful, and packed with bits of pork and veggies. There was a hint of spicy which I liked. You can tell care went into the broth. Service was pretty standard, but the food definitely carried the experience. Would come back for the tsukemen alone.

Went to Tsuke and ordered the Tantanmen--essentially a dan dan noodle with a Japanese twist--and it was outstanding. The flavors were bold yet beautifully balanced, with a rich, thick sauce that clung perfectly to the chewy noodles. Spicy but not overpowering, just the kind of heat that keeps you coming back for the next bite. Thoughtfully executed and deeply satisfying. Another spot that truly delivers on flavor.

Came here on Christmas Day, and thankfully there was no wait like some of the other Asian restaurants in the area! The waitress was very helpful even with the many requests I had to make my little one comfortable, so thank you! I got the large deluxe tsukemen and my husband got the tantanmen. The food took a while to come out but looked delicious when it finally arrived. The portion was big and they give a good amount of dipping broth that was very umami. Squeeze the lime juice on the noodles and dip as you eat! My husband's tantanmen had a strong peanut taste to it and despite being level 5 spicy it wasn't too bad. The soup was on the thicker side, in case you're looking for a thinner consistency (maybe go with the other ramen choices instead). And although we didn't order any, they have several beers available. Overall, this was a perfect little Christmas lunch for us without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds.

The food is solid. Great egg and great chashu. I wasn't blown away but everything was good. The real star of the menu for us was the kakigori. It was incredible!!!!!! Holy cow. I recommend the raspberry kakigori. Truly inspiring. Tastes as good as it looks. Loved it. The matcha was great too, lots of strong matcha flavor. Fun to eat. We agreed that we would return specifically for the dessert. It was that enjoyable/memorable. I noticed that the server didn't advise me on how to eat the tsukemen but did to the other diners. And she also asked if they wanted theirs spicy and didn't ask me so like what's up with that? It would have been nice to have been asked haha. Oh well. She was the only server working in the whole place so I will say that the service was noticeably slow. It was somewhat difficult to flag her down for things. Kind of had to wave my arm or literally stand in front of her to get her attention. Spicy takana condiment available on the table which is made from spicy mustard greens. A little goes a long way and is super flavorful. A really tasty addition to the meal but tread carefully. Casual place. Parking can suck getting down into the underground lot but once you get down there parking is available. You just might have to wait behind a line of cars before you can actually get into the lot. May the ground floor parking gods smile down upon you when you come here. I also noticed that she asked other diners how everything was and what they thought of their meals but not us. She was apologetic at the end though for things taking so long and the dessert being extremely late to arrive. She also asked two diners if they could please leave a positive Yelp review which I thought was kinda unnecessary.

I think overall it's almost the same as before, if not a little lacking in flavor now. 3.5 stars I got the chashu tsukemen and tonkotsu ramen. The chashu slices in the tsuekemen are room temperature/cold, they don't really have any flavor at this temperature. The char is not that present on them, so it felt like eating bland pork belly :( I really wish it was at least warmed correctly. The dipping broth seems a bit simpler than when it was Tsujita, like it's missing something like powdered dashi or some flavoring making it more umami. It was also just warm, and got pretty room temperature once I started dipping noodles. Honestly the noodle to dipping broth portion is too off. They give you nearly the same amount of broth for small vs large noodle portion, so you're not really getting any extra broth for this. Tonkotsu broth is still tasty, I think this has taken over the tsukemen in terms of flavor imo, but also really minimal broth. The servers didn't check our table, maybe because we were just two people. We wanted more hot water but they seemed too busy to come by. I think I'll skip this location and go back to Tsujita on Sawtelle to see if there's actually a difference.

    Chashu Tonkatsu and Regular Tsukemen
    Steffany W.

Tsuke would get a 2.8/5 rating overall for me. Parking was not an issue for a late night meal and we were seating upon arrival. Service was decent and quick, and food came shortly after ordering (10ish minutes). The food was a little expensive for the portion size and lack of meat (Regular Tsukemen with just the plain noodles and a spicy +$1, dipping sauce was $16 alone!). We ordered the regular Tsukemen and the Chashu Tonkatsu. As mentioned, the serving size was small for the tonkatsu and there was no option for a large size, so it was not filling at all for my younger sibling. Luckily I was not too hungry and gave him some of my noodles. I wish there was an option to add on noodles or upgrade the portion size as I felt bad that his already $18 noodles did not fill him up. I decided to try the Tsukmen and the dipping sauce was way too salty for my liking. Although I liked the flavor, I constantly had to chug down water to continue eating it. I was excited to try this new nearby ramen place but I was left a little underwhelmed and disappointed. The food was alright and too pricey for my liking.

I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

The pina colada stood out because the cinnamon added a really unique flavor that worked surprisingly well. For appetizers, we ordered the cucumber salad and pork buns. The cucumber salad was crisp and refreshing while the pork buns were soft and fluffy with tender marinated pork belly. The pickled onions added a nice balance to the richness of the pork. Out of the three noodle dishes we tried, the tonkotsu ramen was definitely my favorite. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with pork flavor. I also liked that they give fresh garlic on the side so you can adjust it to your liking. The noodles were thicker and chewier than traditional ramen noodles which gave them a really satisfying texture. The chashu had a good balance of meat and fat and the egg was perfectly jammy. The vegan ramen was also surprisingly good. The sesame miso broth had a lot of flavor and I liked the variety of vegetables included, especially the broccolini which I normally do not see in ramen. The cold spicy dipping noodles were refreshing and unique. The spicy dashi broth even had pieces of ice in it to keep everything cold. Definitely something I would order again during warmer weather. Overall, I enjoyed everything we tried and would come back again when craving ramen in the area.

On top of that, the food just wasn't the same the flavor was lacking, and the overall experience didn't feel like the restaurant we've supported for years. It's disappointing to say, but this place has lost our business. Great customer service and consistent quality matter, and sadly both were missing today.

Came here on a Thursday night after gym. Easy parking. No wait. Small store. My fiancé and I…read moreordered only one bowl and shared it between us. For him he thinks that was a good enough portion because it tasted a bit too creamy for him. For me it wasn't enough! It was soooo deliciousssss. Dry noodles here for the win! Worth the $18! Service was okay, we didn't needed too much this time around but they have enough people that you can wave down. And they have the whole water for yourself to refill. Would definitely come back. Already craving for another as I am writing this review.

Was scrolling through Yelp for a place to try in Arcadia and this one caught our eyes…read more I've had Mazesoba before in ramen spots, but never at a Mazesoba-specific spot. Worried about dry noodles? Don't fret, as they truly pile on the sauce that is both tasty and addictive! Service was satisfactory. There wasn't much to do as we order our own food, but they give you your cutlery and a jug of water at the start so there wasn't a need to ask for anything anyway. The setup was okay. It felt a little cramped and waiting for the toilet while staring at a dirty trash bin wasn't the best start to the meal, but given the space it's understandable. I got the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba and my wife got the Original Mazesoba. The original is great but I specifically wanted the seaweed and soft-boiled egg. After a fun mix, I took my first bite and did not stop stuffing myself until the last noodle strand was gone. Seriously, I don't know what they add to it that makes it so addicting but I could not stop eating it. I'm a fast eater usually but even my wife was surprised with my remaining half after her first 2 bites. The sauce would usually be too heavy, but the accompaniments allows the dish to balance itself. It was also not too dry, which is a common worry I have for mixed noodles. At the end of the meal they offer a complimentary rice to mix in with the sauce, though personally I would have preferred a broth as I didn't need the extra carb, but a light broth would have been a great finish. I can see this being a craving, so beware, try it at your own risk... but also run there now!
