I've visited the Pasadena location of TSUKE twice, once getting the Deluxe Tsukemen and the other time getting the Ajitama Tsukemen. The noodles are delicious and chewy, eggs are perfectly soft boiled, really no complaints with the cold side of things. The broth flavor is great but both times it's come out cold, which was a bit surprising to me. I could be totally wrong, but other tsukemen spots I've been to -- the San Gabriel location of TSUKE and Tsujita on Sawtelle -- serves it hot/warm. Not sure if the Pasadena location does things differently, or if I'm misinformed on what temperature Tsukemen broth should be, but cold broth is just kind of a bummer for me. Service is great otherwise and I love the corner booth seating.

Let's start the month off strong by giving a huge shoutout to Katsuki, he was an attentive, helpful and kind server that made the whole transaction a breeze. I went in quickly just for some karaage (japanese-style fried chicken) to go, and it honestly was totally worth it. I've gone to this location several times over my 4+ years here in Pasadena, and it is always 10/10.

I've been to Tsuke when they were part of Tsujita and I can say nothing much has changed. Nothing wrong with this place, everything was very tasty and arrived fast. Service was good. Just nothing WOWed me, but sometimes you just need to be satisfied. I really liked that they had the Jiro noodle option. I wanted the thick noodles of tsukemen but was too lazy for tsukemen, lol. So this definitely hit the spot. Super garlicky too. The pork was suuuuper fatty. Chicken karaage only comes with 4 big pieces so just be aware if you are ordering it as something to share. It's got somewhat of a sweet and savory flavor, almost like gojuchang. I don't think I'd order it again, though. Parking is across the street at the Schoolhouse garage, or you can try to find metered street parking around the area. It's also connected to a Sunright but they don't have the full Sunright menu.

Broth was super rich! Only note I'd have is that I'd love a lil more noodles, but the portions were fair. I'd rank this in my top 5 LA ramen spots as a SoCal girlie. :') LOVED the karaage; it was the perfect crispy-ness. And the sauce over the chicken/rice was delicious. We had the deluxe tonkotsu and chicken karaage bowl. I'd definitely recommend both! Next time, I'll try the tsukemen! :)

one of the most slept on ramen spots in the area. ramen isn't a typical meal in my rotation but a few coworkers wanted to get something to eat after work so we all settled on tsuke. the ramen was quite good to my surprise. i prefer the jiro ramen because it has thicker, chewier noodles. but the tonkotsu was rich and hearty on its own. it's not pictured, but order the chicken karage! they give you a good portion and the chicken is so nicely battered and sauced. just add a squeeze of lime on top and you're solid

I came here for lunch and was pleased with the food and the amount of food. I think, next time, I will just get either the one with only egg or only meat because it was a big meal! I would definitely come again!

Something about rainy days in LA makes ramen taste even better and this is the perfect spot. Tsuke is known for their tsukemen style ramen, where the noodles and broth are served separately and you dip each bite into this insanely rich and flavorful broth. They're known for simmering the broth for 12 hours and you can taste the depth with every dip. Ordered the tsukemen as well as the Jiro style ramen. Both were insanely good, and the broth for both were amazing. The noodles have that perfect chewy bite and the chashu pork is so tender and flavorful. All the toppings and ingredients feel thoughtful and you can tell it's high quality. The space is simple and cozy, and service was friendly and quick. Also their handmade gyozas were incredible. Easily one of those spots you come back to whenever a ramen craving hits.

I was craving a hot bowl of noodles loaded with protein and was floored by their deluxe tsukemen! There was a nice layer of tasty slices of pork, covering perfectly chewy noodles wrapped in a thicker, gravy broth. It was so rich and decadent! Perfect eggs lined the side with a sheet of nori and a generous sprinkle of diced, crumbly pork on top! I also ordered a side of karaage, also delicious, hot and juicy! After this meal, all I could do was lay down on the couch and watch Housewives!

Hmm. It's not great but it's not bad. Parking: there's a public parking structure right across the street, $1 for 2 hours with a $12 maximum. Ambiance: tight, but they played a lot kpop bangers so kudos Service: tall guy, ehhhhh, shorter lady, super sweet Honestly, everything was just okay. Nothing stood out, nothing was terrible. We arrived around 8:15 and waited about 15 minutes even with the Yelp waitlist option. They ran out of eggs and gyoza. And no chili powder (shichimi togarashi), but this jar of paste that smelled fermented but was indeed spicy. Will I return? No. Bonus though: they're attached to a Sunright but you have to order before 9:15pm

They call it artisan. It barely filled us. Look at this palm sized bowl of ramen for a kid.

I'm ashamed. I fell for their marketing on Instagram because whoever made that reel made the food look AMAZING. Service - Server already looked overwhelmed when we asked to sit at a smaller table with our toddler. It was kind of a big deal for some weird reason that we preferred to sit in a smaller booth? Already showed inflexibility with a simple request. -1 star Chashu Incident - After 10 minutes of waiting for our server to come back to our table to take our orders, we're sadly informed that it would be a 30 minute wait for them to make more chashu. The entire menu almost consists of chashu for its dishes. Had we known, we could have gone to Ramen Tatsunoya or Hiro Nori. -1 star Gyoza - Gyoza was burnt and falling apart. We also had one small dish of dumpling sauce that would barely allow for us to eat the 5 unraveling Gyoza with. When we asked the server for more, she kindly told us the owner only allows that tiny dish per order. That's a hell no for me. You don't get to make me wait 30 minutes, give poor service, burn the gyoza AND give one tiny dish of dumpling sauce. Welp, I went and read the owners responses to the other bad reviews and he clearly doesn't care and probably wouldn't care about customer service or food quality because... (-1 star) Ramen - The ramen is like ramen you would make on a stove at home, drained, and then put in a fridge. Toss some dry chashu on there (after waiting 30 minutes for it to cook) and there you have it. Oh and don't forget a sliver of random lime and slap on that good ol' "Artisan" label just for old town Pasadena's sake. -1 star Will not be returning or referring. Will 100% be deterring. I should've never cheated on Ramen Tatsunoya down the street or Sato House. Tipping option is a minimum of 18% (which clearly wasn't earned at our table) so that also felt like robbery on top of the poor experience.

Standout service from start to finish. We came in with our baby, and our server was so thoughtful, bringing a small plastic bowl and cutlery for her without us even asking. It made the experience feel welcoming and easy. The only downside was that I was really looking forward to pairing lunch with a Sunright beverage, but unfortunately their Sunright barista had called off that day, so the specialty drink menu wasn't available. A bit of a bummer. Now for the food. The noodle texture was perfection, bouncy, chewy, with enough body for the saucy, gravy like broth to really cling to. The dipping broth itself was rich and deeply umami forward, with chunks of meat that added even more depth of flavor. I appreciated the lemon wedge on the side, it was such a nice touch to brighten up the richness of the dip. My only critique would be the chashu cuts, which were a bit irregular. Some slices were quite thick while others were thin, so the texture wasn't completely consistent. Portions are huge. We ordered the large to share between two people, but honestly, the regular probably would have been enough. The house made gyoza were also a hit. They were generously filled, and you could tell they weren't skimpy on the stuffing, which I always appreciate. We also loved the raspberry kakigori. It had a snowy, fluffy, milky texture with a house made raspberry coulis that wasn't overly sweet. I especially appreciated that they offered a refill on the raspberry sauce. Definitely will be back for the kakigori alone!

Food and service was good. However, after reading reviews, I noticed that the business owner mentioned that gratuity is optional. I would have left a tip regardless, but our server said tip was automatic. After looking at my receipt, I noticed they had tipped 22%! I didn't even sign a receipt and they didn't let me look at the breakdown until after my final receipt was handed to me. That seems very suspicious if tip is optional and I am hesitant to return after this experience.

Decided to visit and try out their Ramen - I have also been seeing their shaved ice on social media but didn't try it. The prices were pretty expensive for simple bowls of Ramen in my opinion, and we didn't really feel like eating a lot, so we just ordered the vegan Ramen and the silky Ramen ( around $18 for both?). Both of the ramens were pretty mediocre with salty soup and nothing extraordinary about the noodles unfortunately. Compared to other Ramen shops I've visited, Tsujita didn't stand out as excellent. The service was very nice but our food came a little slow. We did come during lunch, where there were a couple people. The restaurant itself is clean with seating and a nice vibe. I wonder if we just didn't order the right things off of the menu and I definitely want to come back to try their shaved ice.

I also want to mention that the bowl for my noodles had a small chip, and I immediately told the staff. The server apologized right away and replaced it with a new bowl. I really appreciate how responsible and attentive they were. That kind of service deserves recognition. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but everything else was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

I know they owned Killer Noodle and brought it back for a day or so during some weeks, but still. I feel like I can partly blame those who can't handle spice, numbing or not, and or people with generally normie tastes. Anyways, enough of that diatribe. Parking can get horrible and fisted here, even though there's parking in the pit. The best bet is to just park at the 99 Ranch Market across the street and walk over. This restaurant also gets super busy too and there's limited tables and seating inside for how popular it is. They did collabs too, like the Naruto one. There were instructions on how to properly eat tsukemen and staff was friendly and polite too. I know they tried to make the ambiance a bit nicer and fancier, but with the constant slew of customers and people, you can only do so much. Since it's a tsukemen restaurant, I always just got tsukemen here. I'd get the spicy chashu tsukemen. Comes with a generous portion of chashu pork and is made with their homemade spices. It also comes with a soft boiled egg, a slice of lime to squeeze in for taste, green onions and a sheet nori. After dipping the noodles, you can ask for soup wari to eat the rest of the broth in. It's a delicious and hefty portion and sorta justifies the $30 for a bowl of tsukemen thing. Flavorful broth with a depth of delicious spices. Nice thick noodles that absorb the broth nicely. I like that you get a good amount of chashu. Adding the lime makes the noodles a bit more refreshing if you get a bit tired of the taste. Spicy doesn't make it spicy at all, but at the very least gave a bit of heat to it. There's other Tsujitas out there, just now a bit farther.

The first time was for their 13th anniversary tuna bowl special and it was honestly one of the best tuna bowls I've had in a while. The restaurant has both an indoor dining area and outdoor patio, so it felt relatively spacious. The ambiance leans more on the upscale side. I would recommend parking at the Delacey parking structure for reliable and affordable parking (it's around an 8 minute walk). There was about a 10-20 minute wait after we arrived and the staff was very attentive throughout the entire experience. 1. Tuna Bowl: Their once a year anniversary special ($13 for their 13th anniversary), and this might've been my favorite dish I've had here. The cuts of tuna were incredibly fresh. The toro was thick-cut with a melt in your mouth texture. The sushi rice was also cooked and seasoned perfectly, which added a really nice touch to the dish. I would order this any time if it were on the regular menu! 2. Sushi lunch set with negitoro hand roll and miso soup: A solid lunch set with a variety of sushi that was all very fresh. Loved the negitoro hand roll as well! 3. Salmon & Ikura Don: Got this as part of their $18 lunch special for June 2026, which came with miso soup on the side. The salmon and ikura were very fresh and paired perfectly with the sushi rice. Would definitely come back again to try their other dishes!
