We met up with friends ona weekend dinner as we were recommended to try their AYCE. We came for early dinner but the line took a long time as we have 8 people in the group. We ended up eating at regular dinner time. Don't come when you are already hungry We have to put our name down at the front when we got here. Good thing about Sunday was that parking was not (supposed to be) enforced. We got a street parking close by. This is our first time but we were told that they have a new menu recently. We ordered a lot of food. Everything tasted great! Including the chili oil tofu - which is quite unique and was not spicy. All the aburi sushi means it is seared and have chili oil brushed. It has a unique flavor and not too spicy. The tonkotsu's chasiu was really good. And the soup base was not super salty. The sunrise no rice roll was ok. I prefer the other seared/raw fish ones. The server, Kang. was super friendly. So many tables were celebrating birthdays!! The waiters gathered and sang. Great experience. The price is more than what I normally go for... but that's around the price for most AYCE sushi.
Aikan upgraded their menu recently and I was mostly here to try their newest items! I went with the premium menu since it seemed the better bang for your buck option. The carpaccio options for the regular menu only have 3 options now, but the premium has 6! The star of the show was the yellowtail carpaccio as always, and the mackerel w goma was surprisingly good too. There were a lot more new items in each section, but I got too full already lol will definitely come back to try more. I definitely love that they offer the option to get hand rolls now. I especially enjoyed getting the soft shell blue crab! Shoutout to Cam and Hans for being so attentive and friendly!

I turned to my faithful Yelp and found Aikan, a great pick for delicious AYCE (All You Can Eat) sushi. We were greeted nicely by the hostess, seated promptly and then we were off to the races, troughs of food included. Seriously, we ordered so much! Just take a look at the YouTube video! Service is fantastic and super efficient. Ambience is very nice. Note that the sushi orders are 1 piece instead of the usual two which is fine because you are able to try a whole lot more than you normally would. Also note that if you get the Premium addition, you are limited to just 1 piece per person for your 2-hour time period....which really is fine because you are able to get SO MUCH food. I think the salmon belly, bluefin tuna, uni, sweet shrimp (complete with the fried heads), softshell crab and some of the unique rolls like Jalapeno Popper were our faves. I have been wanting to try to this place for years and the time has come. I came last night with my family to celebrate my dad's birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was subpar at best. This is an all-you-can-eat dinner priced at $42.99 per person, so we expected the food and service to reflect that price. We ordered quite a bit of food, but several of the items we ordered were missing from our table. The sushi quality was also underwhelming and did not meet our expectations. On top of that, we found the pictures on the menu to be misleading. What was actually served looked noticeably different from the photos, which made the experience even more disappointing. The restaurant is also walk-in only and does not take reservations, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. Overall, for $42.99 per person, we expected much better quality, accuracy with our orders, and presentation.
Not a fan of this place. Took my friends out for dinner and I had the chirashi bowl. $26. The fish was not fresh. There were six types of items on the dish (in addition to seaweed salad and masago). The two types of tuna seemed like second grade cuts. They tasted frozen and dried out. Two other choices were processed scrambled eggs (Tamago) and two pieces of dried out (Korean?) Krab sticks. This dish seemed like it was filled with leftover fish & filler ingredients. The sushi rice had absolutely no flavor. The only highlight about this review was the server David. He was super friendly and offered good customer service.
Came here not knowing what to expect, but was left super happy, full, and satisfied. Quality of their fish was super fresh and flavorful. Their AYCE menu had a lot of different options: noodles, nigiris, carpaccio, appetizers, fried foods, etc... Carpaccios had a flavorful sauce that complimented the sashimi. Nigiris were super fresh. Loved the ika, saba, and ebi more than usual. Fish to rice ratio was perfect. Usually not an appetizer person but the black pork sausage stood out, was grilled perfectly and super flavorful. I loved that Aikan gives you more than 3 rounds unlike most AYCE places. They give you unlimited rounds under 2 hours. You order from a sheet of paper. Service was perfect. Both our servers kept checking in on us throughout the night. They constantly refilled our drinks, gave us more ginger and wasabi when we ran out, made sure we gave our new orders, and made sure we were doing good. Definitely went above and beyond. They were also super friendly and nice! The restaurant itself was pretty big, spacious, and dim lit: they have a big back area where the bathrooms are located and a spacious front area. Booths are cute, love the ambience and professionalism of the staff. It was pretty busy when I went around 7:30-8 pm so the whole restaurant was packed. Good thing we only waited about 5-10 minutes. Overall, I'm glad I tried this place out. I would highly recommend this place for AYCE sushi lovers. Was super happy with the price, quality, and atmosphere of the restaurant. Definitely coming back.
I have reviewed this place before, I should be getting paid at this point, but I assure you, I'm not I just love the food, the staff, and the atmosphere. My only tiny nit pick, is that if you have additional food left over at the end, from the all you can eat, you don't get wrap it up and take it home, you HAVE TO leave it there, be charged extra, then they trash it. I never order too much, but my friends sometimes do I don't like that, but I absolutely understand the reason for the rule and policy though, because I'm sure people abused it, and now the rest of us have to suffer. Anyway, I love this place, and I'm just going to let my AMAZING photos do the rest of the talking. Enjoy!

My tummy was grumbly and I wanted sushi spur of the moment so I came here on a weekend night. Got seated quickly at the bar. They have a great menu and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed their sushi set. Philly roll was legit. However, the miso soup is not great and had a weird taste. The server was attentive but sometimes hovered too much and it got annoying. But at least he was attentive. Overall it was good. I'd come back here for AYCE!
This is my favorite AYCE sushi chain. Every location I've gone to has hit the mark on what you need for an AYCE sushi experience. The menu is extensive and the quality of the food is always excellent. There's also plenty of non-sushi options as well such as ramen bowls and meats. Not everyone at the table has to order AYCE as well which is nice. It's also fairly priced at $36 during lunch and $43 at dinner. The inside of the place is classy but casual. This Pasadena location , though, didn't have the best service. Especially what seems to be the manager at the front desk who was heavily talking down the couple in front of us. She even had to go "crash out" in the back and was very rude to her coworkers. Besides that I recommend this spot (or any other Aikan location)!
Service is slow. Waitress that we have is not attentive and doesn't even make eye contacts when she brings water or food. I see she serves other tables with a smile and no issues, they seem like return customers She warms up at the end of our lunch.. guess she doesn't like to serve first time new comers. Other servers are not as attentive.. took us 5+ minutes to get a waitress to come assist us. Food is above average. Ordered several nigiri and doesn't have any fish taste so the quality is fresh. The speed they serve food.. makes me sleepy. I stopped at round 2 cuz I got tired of waiting for my food and I just wanted to leave.
Great hight quality food and sushi, well made woth patience by chef. Service is amazing and attentive. Ambiance is great, not too loud and chaotic . Definitely coming back again . My favorite is seared sushi such as tuna and fresh eel. Fried oysters was delicious. Broiled muscles is good and small kinds . Will update more later
Aikan is my favorite AYCE sushi in all of SoCal. We come pretty often; quality of the fish for the price point is amazing and there's so much variety. Tried the new signature carpaccios today and the four dishes we tried were the mackerel, the seared salmon, regular salmon, and scallop. My party really enjoyed the seared salmon and the mackerel the most. They all had very delicious sauces. I would recommend trying all of them!

5/5! Aikan is one of those places we keep coming back to. The all-you-can-eat sushi is absolutely worth it--not just because you can eat as much as you want , but because there are so many different things to try. The sushi is fresh, there's a great variety of rolls, sashimi, appetizers, and other dishes, and everyone can always find something they love. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. And don't forget to get their ice cream. Come hungry. Leave very, very happy. 5/5 -- we'll definitely be back! read more

Went to Aikan to try the all you can eat lunch deal. We ordered their carpaccio and my personal favorite was the salmon carpaccio. The rest of the food was also really good!! Plus, Samantha and Mike served us and they were really nice. read more

My husband and I were looking for a decent sushi spot that has dishes without rice, and ended up here. There was a lot of choices for rice-less sushi. Really liked the carpaccios & skinny sushi. Our server, Samantha, was very helpful! She even marked the most popular dishes & her personal favorites on our menu since it was our first time here. Overall great experience! read more

One of the best AYCE sushi places that I have been too. I actually want to come back while writing this review. Everything was fresh and great tasting. The service was excellent. My coworkers and I celebrated our two interns graduating at Aikan on a Thursday night. We were a party of 9. We did the regular AYCE dinner. 3 rounds in 2 hours. Our favorites were the salmon kama, yellowtail kama, tonkotsu ramen, udon, and seared tuna poke, salmon poke, and yellowtail poke. My coworkers complimented the flavor of the beef teriyaki. Thank you to management for comping us dessert: 9 macaron sandwiches filled with different ice cream flavors (green tea, mango, strawberry, and vanilla). You made this an unforgettable experience for our interns. We look forward to future celebrations at Aikan. read more

Food came out on time and great quality sushi for the price. I love their jalapeño shrimp and their mussels. I totally over order the seared shrimp since we love the freshness. Also when ordering the sushi, it comes in half orders so you don't get too full. read more
First time came here to try this all you can eat Japanese Restaurant everyone is raving about it located in Pasadena. We ordered a Premium tier for 2 . Food was fresh, some were too spicy and the squid legs were too tough ! And the sushi, rice were a bit too thick as compared to their competitors which is a thinner layer, but the all the fish was fresh and savory! Service was excellent! We were given 2 hours to enjoy our meal. At the end I spotted the coffee macaroon ice cream and gave it a try, it was delicious and perfect sweetness ~ you gotta try it~!!! It was full house on a mid weekday. Parking was a pay per hour stall by the curb. They're aesthetic pictures on the outside of the restaurant. Come check it out yourself ~! read more
We came here to celebrate of our dear friend's BIRTHDAY. We got there at 5:30pm on a SATURDAY and there were many tables open. However, one of our party member wasn't going to arrive until 6:30pm so we decided to walk to TARGET and come back! LINES FORM at 6:30pm!!! Very busy during dinner hours!!! AYCE: 10/10 half of our table eats only cooked foods and the other half can eat raw foods. We enjoyed ordering the FRIED OYSTERS, DYNAMITE, SHISHITO PEPPERS, BAKED MUSSELS, TAKOYAKI, etc... SASHIMI: 10/10 Looks very fresh! My party really enjoyed all the sashimi that they can eat. They enjoyed the squid nigiri, salmon, toro, surf clam, eel, etc... SERVICE: Excellent! Food kept coming continuously. Very attentive service even though gratuity was automatically charged 18% for a party of 6... Worth trying!! Great place to bring your friends and family too!!! this is by far the best Ayce sushi I've ever had. The signature is definitely worth it with basically a 7 piece omakase and really good premium items imo. Usually I get bored of nigiri, but with the fish quality and fresh wasabi here, it was hard not to keep going. The Japanese scallop was a slight disappointment, but everything else was sooooo good. I already miss my blue crab hand rolls, truffle salmon, ikura, and monk fish liver every round. read more

AYCE price for dinner, weekends, holidays: $42.99 regular , $54.99 premium Lunch: $35.99 regular, $47.99 premium Premium (13) items include: uni, bluefin toro, ama ebi, ikura, truffle halibut, Japanese scallop (big ones), sea bass, salmon toro, yellowtail toro, oyster, soft shell crab, shishamo tempura, and gyu-don (small bowl). The order form has 3 rounds, but there's a 2 hour limit. The whole party must order the same option. Service is good. read more
I came here the other day and I took away one star because they said it would be a 20 minute wait we waiting like over an hour. I understand that that's not their fault. Always because people don't leave but what a terrible time estimate. Once we sat down, though the food came quickly and it was really good. The server even let us know that a large party came in to get an order in before the large party did. Everything was really nice and fresh! I always enjoy the scallop and Ikura options on the premium menu. I'm sad that the soft shell crab is only one serving, but I understand it cannot be unlimited. Inside is a fun atmosphere. Everyone seems very jovial. Parking is pretty bad around the area, but it's possible to find some free or pay by the hour parking. read more

Be prepared for long weekend waits(40min for my party 4 adults 3 children) , but the quality of the sushi, rolls, even their ramen and udon dishes on their standard all you can eat menu set were fantastic. The spicy crispy tuna rice had great crispy crunch and heat on the tuna. The restaurant does tend to be more sauce forward so if you're not a fan of that then can just scrape some of it off. Hans, our waiter, was fantastic and brought extra napkins and took care of our small kids well too. Would come back again. read more

The oysters has a lot of sauce on it which tasted good but I would prefer less or on the side because I personally like raw oysters plain with lemon. This is long overdue, we've been to Aikan at least a dozen times in Pasadena and to be honest it gets better every time. The quality of the fish for AYCE is amazing and the prices are reasonable as of 2026. Staff is always friendly and the food always arrives very quickly. Our go to AYCE spot for myself, family and friends. read more

Does the whole party need to be present to be seated? Can majority party be present?
Each time I've gone, the entire party needs to be present before you are seated.
Do they offer a virtual waitlist?
Not for the early bird special, because it applies to the first 50 people in line only. For other time, I am not sure though.
How much is All you can eat dinner?
I think the regular AYCE price now is around $43 and premium price is around $48. Premium menu includes items like uni and oyster if you're into that.

You can do both. If you don't want to wait make reservations.

They have all you can eat everyday , try it on Friday night one time , there's a long wait almost 2 hours
