Wanted to come here for years and finally made it out. Great food and service at this location! All the dishes were delicious and the dancing noodle was fun. They really accommodate for families with kids which is fantastic. They even have a complimentary kids meal! Looking forward to coming back. read more

I rate 4/5 stars only because of price point, being in this area there is incredible food options all throughout the region and I feel that despite it being very delicious I'm not eager to seek out this option give the price point. I'd also add there are things that could be included in a package or amenity as it relates to the food bars and appetizers. Clearer package pricing or grouped in values would be nice and allow for better price point transparency especially for larger groups. The ambience is lovely, the space and setting are very nice and top notch. This was my favorite part. The staff was informative and engaging, no complaints. read more

The food is amazing. Ordering is a bit of a learning curve so I recommend you visit with a group to be able to try multiple soup bases and accompaniments. The servers are super helpful and very patient with our multitude of questions. I recommend the mushroom soup base, tom yum soup base, with the premium golden fish maw chicken soup base as the go-to. Don't miss ordering the Dancing Noodles as they are both inexpensive, entertaining, and freshly pulled at the table. I also ordered the combo for kid to get a small portion of noodles and some veggies. Also make sure to visit the nice dessert bar at the end. I usually go to the Hai Di Lao in City of Industry, and I came here instead. I love their free snack station. They had a delicious porridge that is great. This one also has a dessert bar. I came here late enough for the 3.99 meat special. Zhi was really great and friendly. read more

Came on a Monday night (holiday season) and the wait was 30 minutes around 8pm. We were seated at 8:30pm and got started on ordering! This location does individual pots for the soup with MANY options! Prices are high but the quality is good, we spent around $50 per person with 1 meat, 1 fish ball order, 1 dumpling order, 2 veggies and 1 noodle. I would probably only come here for special occasions. Highlights - Golden Fish Maw Chicken Soup - wow this soup base was delicious! - Lamb - incredibly soft, high quality lamb that absorbed all the flavors of the soup base Overall the ingredient variety, sauce bar and experience are top tier. This is the first ever Haidilao Hotpot location I've ever been to that has AYCE! The Arcadia spot is tucked in a large indoor mall that isn't very lively besides the Round One or theater there, but trust me: Haidilao is structured similarly to many of the other locations with the standard booths, sauce stations, dancing noodle performances, and robot servers with waters. I came with some friends for a birthday celebration and they treated us stupendously. We got LOTS of food (mostly red meats, vegetables, noodles, and appetizers) in broth--the tastiest and most filling meal for a party of four. The sweetest part was them singing Happy Birthday to me and giving us a coconut cake on the house. It was very sweet and soft, though it tasted like it had been refrigerated or thawed out from the freezer for a while. I had such a great experience at Haidilao! The service was truly what stood out the most. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We do not have separate VIP rooms but we do have areas that we can section off for larger parties! Please give us a call and we will try to accomodate you guys!

The largest single table is a long high top with 12 pots that can seat 12 guests together. For larger parties we'd have to seat guests at two or more separate tables right next to each other.

I got the split pot with sukiyaki and jelly golden chicken broth. The sukiyaki was slightly sweet and full of umami flavor. The jelly golden chicken was flavorful and comforting. You can tell they boil down chicken bones from the chicken fat in the soup. They have 3 meats on the prime menu that were wagyu. All 3 were super tender and required little to no chewing. The abalone were massive and firm yet tender. We got the shrimp paste as well which was flavorful and filled with chunks of shrimp. The veggies were fresh and I enjoyed the variety. My favorites were the crown daisy, spinach, enoki mushrooms and Napa. They even have the sweet potato wide rice noodles that are slimy and chewy. Not a lot of AYCE places have it so it's a rare find. The staff here speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and English so ordering was not an issue. They have a small lot in the back with about a dozen spots which wasn't an issue on the week day.

They have your basic chopped garlic, cilantro, satay and other sauces. I'm okay with a spicy hot pot but I still want to enjoy my food so I keep it on the mild end. Overall it was a nice experience and a decent spot for a random night of hot pot.

So if they're zealous about filling your water you can add some tip but just be warned!!!

It is not spectacular but I would say slightly above average. We ordered Combo B so it came with a lot of extra stuff. The ramen though cannot be exchanged so I got the Sapporo Miso Ramen while my wife got the Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen. We also ordered the Yakitori Platter. While the Ramen are decent, the other dishes are subpar. I am 99% sure the Yakitori was pre-made and just reheated. It has no char flavor at all. I believe some off site kitchen prepped the food and the restaurant just reheated the food. That was the most disappointing part of the meal. The cost of the Yakitori was equivalent to actual Yakitori places so I expected decent quality Yakitori. I think the popcorn chicken is the same. It has no crunch to it at all and it is barely warm. The two desserts are decent. Those can be prepare ahead and won't affect the flavor since they are served chilled. After the meal, one of the bowls actually won a free drink so we'll claim it when we return next time. Overall the meal was decent. I just won't order the appetizers next time. Normally I would just give a 3 star since the Yakitori was a bust but the staffs are very nice so I kept it at 4 stars. The place is also very clean too so I would like to repeat to try other dishes.

If I only have one word to describe the restaurant, I will use "amazing". I think this is one of the most memorable hot pot restaurants I have ever eaten. The first time I tried the food here, I really enjoyed it. When I arrived, the smell of pepper was through the doors and attracted my senses. The most important thing is that the workers can speak Chinese when ordering. They made the communication much easier for me. They also can speak English if you don't speak Chinese. To start, I would like to say that they have a wonderful service for the customers. When I was sitting on the chair, the staff gave me an elastic band for my hair, which helped me to tie up my long hair. At the same time, the staff passed an apron to me, so the apron prevented the soup to spill out on my clothes. Basically, their service was impeccable. They also have enough parking places, so you don't have to worry about the parking. The parking didn't cost any money. All of the food was really fresh. You picked up the sauce by yourself. In this restaurant, I really like the sauce bar. They have different sauces. For example, the sauces bar has soy sauce, salt, vinegar, and spicy oil. It also has some pickled radishes and mushrooms, and it offers a lot of fruits. If you don't eat fiery food, I highly recommend the tomato soup. The soup was not hot, and it has a little bit sweetness. In contrast, if you like spicy food, you can try the spicy pork soup. For me, I always choose the sizzling soup because the soup was like Guangzhou local hot pot soup. I also recommend that you order the dumpling. The dumplings were succulent. The texture of the dumplings are very smooth. The glass of watermelon juice was a little bit sweet. Even though I do not like food that is too sweet, I still loved it. I really definitely recommend this restaurant. The hot pot was very tasty, but it cost a lot of money. Make sure to double check the prices because the food prices were so high. I was just here for their soft opening. Right now, they are only taking dinner reservations every night of the week from 6-10pm. I don't think you can walk in, better call ahead to make sure. They have a full bar, but it's not open during soft opening. This is my first Haidilao experience, never tried it in China, but I've heard many great things about it. I got to say it's way better than most of the pot hot places I've been to in SoCal in terms of service, food quality and ambience. I really like the decor and ambience of the restaurant, modern chic with a hint of Chinese influence. The restaurant is open, inviting and at the same time very intimate. They use individual pots where you can choose your own soup base, but share the food plates. How thoughtful! They have an all you can eat sides/sauce bar for $3 and soup base selections for $5-6. We had the spicy soup base, seafood soup base and mushroom soup base. My favorite is the spicy one, the spiciness doesn't overpower its flavor, unlike many hot pot places where their soup base is just spicy but has no taste. When it comes to hot pot, I prefer my soup to be light so I can dip my food in sauces. The soup bases here are not as light as I like them to be, but it could be fixed with a cup of hot water. I would recommend ordering their Angus Prime ribeye, bone-in short rib, homemade scallop balls, homemade squid balls, homemade shrimp paste, tripe, specialty beef with egg yolk on top and specialty marinated chicken. The vegetables, mushroom and bean curd/tofu items are all pretty fresh. I didn't order any seafood item this time, but I should try them when I come back. Oh, don't forget the hand tossed noodle, they do a noodle dance and make it right at your table. It's both entertaining and yummy. Overall, great experience for a soft opening. Oh, did I mention they give you warm towels and free snacks while you wait for your food and there are also fruits and desserts at the ayce bar after meal. Will come back! read more

So, after a long and prosperous Sunday morning attending church and such I want to spend my hard earned money somewhere worthwhile and high quality. I took my family to Hai di Lao and was a bit skeptical at first because it looked pretty pricey and there was no wait but because of the host, Alex Cheng we were convinced to spend our money here later in the nighttime (for dinner) Alex made it very clear he was proud to work behind this restaurant and was very hospitable towards my child because he was a father himself. So after a 45 minute wait in the nighttime, (When we came back, it's packed :0) we were sat down at a table very similar to other hot pot places only they have smaller pots and bigger portions of veggies! When we ordered we used the iPad to order! Technologically advanced in my opinion making our experience a lot less confusing than a person taking orders. So we ordered two orders of fried rice one egg and one shrimp and two Angus prime rib-eye (thinly sliced) these paired well with the many sauces they have made at the do it yourself section. This made an excellent eating experience for me and my wife but I'm more into Japanese Shabu so I just stuck with sesame and ponzu sauce. I also love how they have green onions and cilantro FRESH and desserts as well free and AYCE. Our bill came to about 65 with tip and at about 30 per person that seemed like a very steep price but behind those doors was a completely different experience! It's cool to see everyone hustling food everywhere and on top of that dancing noodles?! Outrageous! Thanks again Alex for showing me a good time, I appreciate your hard work and professionalism. Without your suggestion I probably wouldn't have had as great a Sunday like today being a skeptic and all. Money well spent. read more

Something is fishy about this place...I dont understand how its so expensive yet i hear they dont even pay the employees what they earn..guess thats what happens when most the workers cant speak or understand english. From the inside? I think not. Not for all the rice in china, from the outside, Beware of the hot pot, NOT ALL IS WHAT IT SEEMS! Check bank statements Make sure you are eating things in season..ever wonder why the servers seem to be so obedient? Maybe if not they go home, and not home like within the adjoining cities . But home, as in which way they were brought here. How you ask do they do this? CASH and COVER-UPS. Heres a suggestion when you google them and it sends you to yelp. Try checking their website the look and use will tell you how in order and on top of things they really are. It also looks very different from the China and Singapore ones. And franchise or corporation? I dont know but I think something besides the names could connect the U.S location to its brother and sisters so far from here. Considering this is the first born in western civilization, wouldnt the elders make sure the family name is secure? Or if they fail do they go home? its just one Hai Di Lao whats the harm it can do if No one finds out??? Oh and beware some of the employees arent as friendly as they seem. just keep looking at reviews, Maybe even the one not recommended. Ive seen how they harm people and punish those who dont obey their "rules" ha try HARASSMENT AND TORTURE! If not be punished the Hai Di Lao way.....But really who waits hours for expensive hot pot during the summer??? read more
