Great all around shabu place. Would recommend coming for the weekend/dinner only meat that includes filet mignon, ribeye, and beef chuck flap cuts. Spacious place and place does get busy. Waitlist in the store. Lots of sides and hot foods to choose from. Plenty of veggies and frozen items for the shabu. Their hot items are tasty and made fresh. You can see them frying the crabs at the counter and preparing their other hot foods. Broth is solid and tasty. Meats here a very thinly sliced and cooks instantly. My favorite was the ribeye. Due to its tenderness and fat ratio. Big sauce options and aromatics to choose from. This plaza gets busy and parking may be hard. Have had their other location in Irvine. Solid shabu place. Host service can be better. Saw customers standing in front a few times and didn't acknowledge new customers coming in. Was not a welcoming experience.

Genuinely love this spot for shabu shabu in Alhambra! Their service is quick and super friendly. There's a huge amount of options at the self serve area and the sauce bar as well! Their meat quality is always on point and the portions are good value. Love that I can finish my meal with ice cream at the end too! Super underrated spot!

This was definitely a great Hotpot place to go if you love a variety of vegetables if you love tons and tons of meat in your soup. It's a great time if you have plenty of time to do hot pot. I don't recommend this if you don't really eat a lot at hot pot places or if you really like just the one bowl of food this is not it for you but great for groups. Great for people who wanna share. I love the variety. I think my favorite part was the dessert. They offer a soft serve ice cream. Really love the options so many different types of vegetables and if you're looking to get your protein on, this is definitely a great place. I live a high protein diet life and this will get you all your macros. Will get you all your proteins and all your fibers so go now go often!! I love the lunch special pricing by the way. Super solid deal for all that you get. It's really a great time. Great bang for your buck.

I've been to All About Shabu several times, and while the soup and meat quality are somewhat still solid, this visit felt a bit underwhelming. Service was just okay. It wasn't as quick or attentive as usual, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. I've been here during peak times and still received better service, so that was disappointing. What stood out most was the decline in the quality of the warm food items. Still an okay spot for shabu.

Food was alright, I would stick with the short plate, and the sesame sauce was pretty good. Service was honestly pretty bad. The Korean guy with the glasses better be the owner's son, seeing how he ignores tables and presses us for trying to order rounds. Had to flag down someone every time we wanted to order more meat or needed more broth, probably could've gone 30 mins without anyone checking in. They handed us our check after 90 mins and we asked if we could order one last round since we absolutely should've been able to order more frequently throughout the meal. The Korean guy then comes by and questions us for having ordered more rounds. Not sure what this guy's problem is but hope he gets it together

This my family favorite hotpot place. They always have a ton of fresh ingredients for your hotpot. The cooked stuff could be better though as its probably been out in the heating lamp all day and has dried out or gotten hard like their popcorn chicken. But the broth are good and the servers and very efficient and nice. The place is good and not overly expensive for what you get

AYCE Shabu what that gives Vegetarian/Vegans a $5 discount.... That is better than most who don't give discounts at all. The soup bases are good and the veggie offerings are pretty good as well. I've been here a few times now...and don't mind going back. There are so many choices...only thing is this place is such a huge location and I've never seen it have a wait or even filled up.... I definitely will be back though since it is pretty good overall.

Been wanting to come here for a while, this is "all you can eat." I tried but didn't like the pre-cooked food, except for the noodles, they were OK. I loved all the fresh vegetables, meats and seafood to create my own delicious soup. I loved the miso broth with pork belly meat. There is a station for different sauces. Service was very good. Will definitely be back!

If you're looking for a wide variety of items, this is a great hot pot place to go to. I love the self-service aspect of the non-meat items (veggies, seafood, noodles, sauce, etc). Each table can order 3 meats per round. The meat portions are small (but it's all you can eat) so we found ourselves calling the server over quite frequently to order more. Meat quality is just okay. You definitely get what you pay for. Most of the meat didn't have lots of marbling so nothing was "buttery" or "melt in your mouth." At most AYCE restaurants, you sacrifice quality for quantity. This is a great place to go when you want a little bit of everything but don't need super fancy wagyu or other cuts of meat. The $28 AYCE lunch is an unbeatable price!

I came here for Father's Day Sunday dinner with family. (Party of 5) it was very crowded! This place is definitely a hit or miss depending on what day you come. I guess since Father's Day was busy, the time it took to get the meat slices you order was very long which kind of ruined the all you can eat experience for me. But the quality of meat was still good for the price. I tend to order their ribeye cuts a lot as they are tender, but everything is pretty good. I appreciate that they always have lots of sides to get as well and they have daisy crown vegetables which are my favorite. Bone broth went well with the meat!

I highly recommend this hygienic buffet restaurant because of their amazing food and incredibly honest staff. After leaving my wallet there last night, I went back at noon today and they returned it to me with nothing missing, which truly deserves the highest praise. Because of this safe and trustworthy environment, I will definitely become a frequent customer!

    Shabu Shabu was delicious

Love coming here for AYCE Shabu shabu! Parking can be tough since it's located in a pretty busy shopping plaza and its parking lot is shared with many other businesses Expect there to be at least an hour wait if you come on the weekends! Inside is pretty spacious with a decent amount of seating. Service could be better if they were more attentive. It can get pretty packed and loud so it might be hard to communicate with one another. Keep in mind that there is a 90 minutes dine-in time limit and $5 charge for excessive food waste! Pricing is a little pricey. On weekdays 11:30-3:00pm - $27.99 and 3pm - closing, weekend, and holidays is $33.99 Ordering is easy - select your own broth (6 options) and I recommend the House Special. There is a good variety of meats (7 different options during lunch and 11 different options during dinner and weekends). You can only order up to 3 items each round! Really enjoyed their seafood bar because there were a lot of options, like a good variety of veggies, mushrooms, fish balls, shrimp, fish, noodles, etc. Also, really liked their hot food stand since it had some delicious dishes, like sesame balls and jap chae. The sauce bar also had a lot of options like ponzu, sesame, soy sauce, etc. and a good selection of condiments (green onions, garlic, cilantro, etc.) My favorites were the Angus Beef Brisket, Wagyu Style Beef Short Plate, Angus Flat Iron Steak, and Angus Chuck Eye Steak. They were very tender and not too fatty. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken breast, pork belly, and pork collar butt but that could just be my personal preference since I enjoy beef more! Would definitely recommend and return

It's 90 degrees out, I'd say that's the perfect time to eat hot pot. What is it about a hot steamy pot of soup on a summer day? I am on the late train, I've never experienced AYCE hot pot before. Didn't really do my research, kinda just randomly chose All That Shabu. The host that checked us in was an older lady, she didn't explain much. Well she didn't explain anything at all but that's okay LOL. I actually didn't know there was a hot food bar all the way at the end. I guess that's my fault for assuming each station had the same thing! Nonetheless, still had a great experience. Quick with meat orders. I had the house broth my husband had the beef bone broth. The house broth was on the lighter side, but that's the great thing about hot pot. The more you cook into your broth, the better the flavor develops. They also have things like, salt, pepper, soy sauce, chili oil, vinegar ect.. in a bin next to the ice cream machine. I wish this was moved closer to the sauce bar because I wouldn't have guessed it would be there. I think it's funny when people complain about their pot or sauce not being good. Have you ever had hot pot before? It's customized to YOUR taste lmao. If your sauce wasn't good, it's because you made it. Don't be afraid to try different combinations! The beef quality was great, soft, buttery, flavorful. I can't speak on the other meats because we only ordered beef. Again, I didn't get to try any of the hot foods because it was too late by the time I saw it. You don't wanna fill up on these anyways but I think it's nice to include! Options for everyone. Inside was clean, restocked frequently, great air ventilation. I wasn't sitting over my pot sweating. As friendly as you can expect but efficient.

    Reservations available for 8+people?

    Do we make a reservation?

No! But it tends to be an hour wait around 6pm onward ish

Can you share a meal between 2 people here?

Yes, as long as you pay for 2 people lol

Does this place have waiting list?

Yup, put your name down when you arrive. Need whole party there to seat

    Can you make reservations?

Can one person eat here? Or do does it have to be 2 people or more people together to eat.

Absolutely, solo eaters are totally welcome. The tables are set up as 4 sweaters but worth their own individual burner stations. I've been there several times and often see single diners especially around lunchtime.

    Is the vegetarian broth vegan?

Hi do you have outdoor dining as of December 2022?

No outdoor dining per se. They do have some bench seating but it's for staff last time I was there.

What's the price per person on the weekend? (adult and kid 7yrs). What is best time for weekend dinner?

$31/adult & $16/kid (5-8y/o) or $19/kid (9-10). Best time for dinner is probably before 6/6:30pm, gets crowded around normal dinner rush. Reservations fill up fast too, so might just have to walk-in & wait.

    Do you allow solo diner?

Yes, they do. I've dined here alone several times and they are very welcoming and accommodating of their solo diners. :)

Is there a non ayce option here?

No, the only options are Lunch AYCE or Dinner/Holiday AYCE

    Do you take reservation?

Yes, but only for groups of 6 or more is available. Reservations was almost always available during the daytime on weekdays. It was very good for birthday parties with affordable price and great quality! :)

Hello, are you open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

    That are open.

Is this location still open? Yelp has it as closed and their number does not seem to be working.

yes, just went there yesterday 12/1/21 for lunch..

Today (12/2/2021) I was looking at Yelp and saw that All That Shabu has closed? Is this accurate? I thought this restaurant was popular and profitable. Why did it close?

It is no accurate. I think Yelper report it closed but Yelp hasn't has chance to verify it. It is Still open as of Yesterday 12/2/2021 8:30PM. I went by to check.

Is the side dish selection the same for lunch and dinner/weekends?

Will it be weekday price for lunch this friday?

It was $24.99 for lunch on Friday 4/29/22

Do you take reservations for a big group?

    Yes they do.

This location was recently named one of three LA area buffets in the top 150 in the country, based on Google reviews. I've been to a lot of buffets (Chinese and otherwise), and this was near the top, especially based on the price. We came about 30 minutes after its 11 am opening, and the place was already packed with a line waiting to get in. You pay first, getting water and soda cups at checkout (plates are plentiful near the buffet itself). Emmelyn was the check-in associate, and she was joyful and friendly, putting a smile on my wife's face after a stressful drive through LA traffic. We found out that my wife's lunch was free because it was her birthday. Lunch pricing is $15.19 (M-F), minus $1 for seniors and military. Refillable soda is $2.99. It's find your own seating, and we grabbed the first seats we could find. -- being super crowded meant the food was constantly being replenished and kept fresh. It also meant a lot of line (inadvertent) line cutting and careful, slow movements...need to be careful for sure. -- the taste of the food was good, mainly because most things were turning over quickly. However, the selection of dishes wasn't huge, and the soups didn't look too good. -- I focused on the sushi and was satisfied. They had different type simple rolls and nigiri, with soy sauce at each table. They also had a bottle of eel sauce to douse your rolls with more, if you want. Towards the end, discovered a New Zealand green mussel dish in a hot chili sauce, which I took full advantage of. -- the must get is the Mongolian Grill, which dominates the center of the restaurant. There were three types of sliced frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork), a variety of vegetables (including my favorite, baby corn), and various runny sauces that you pour on top when done. Once your bowl is complete, you need to give it to the operator. But here its a bit different: it operates on a unique system that I've only seen here. In the front counter, there are 20 spots where numbered pager sits. Once a person fills up a bowl with raw ingredients, they place it on the next available pager spot, taking the pager with them. Once the food is cooked, the pager goes off. You then exchange the bowl in your spot, with the pager...and the cycle continues. I asked myself what would happen if all 20 pagers were taken, and decided if that happened, you would have to wait since there would be no more space on the grill for your plate anyway. The system worked really well, with all three of us taking advantage of it. Taste wise, I've had better but certainly not for that price. And I just love the efficiency of it all. -- soft serve ice cream was available, and it was very thick and creamy (though a bit off in taste). My wife also mentioned that you can get cotton candy as well. -- Service was good, with an employee in a hostess outfit personally letting us know that she was there to assist us, including getting drinks. She did clear dishes when necessary, but also seemed to be supervising our section. What's interesting is that the same report mentioned King Buffet in Garden Grove, which now seems to be another branch of the Paradise chain. So need to be leery of such reports not being current...but in this case, following its suggestion paid off.

The standout dishes were definitely the grilled scallops with vermicelli and the grilled oysters. Both were smothered in an incredible garlic sauce with tons of rich, aromatic flavor. The scallops and oysters were cooked perfectly and easily the highlight of the meal. Most of the skewers were spot on in terms of texture and doneness. The only miss was the potato skewers. The downside for my latest visit isn't on the place itself, but due to a restroom incident and it's usually dirty every time I visit so I can't give it 5 stars until that's resolved. We were done eating and so I decided to use the restroom. After using the largest stall because all the others were taken, I didn't realize someone exploded near the back of the toilet. I only noticed when I got up that it was a huge MESS. I knew some of it got on my dress too so I had to call someone to help me grab something for me to change into because I cannot wear my dress after that disgusting interaction. After I changed, we went to the staff for a bag so I can throw my clothes away and I told the staff what happened. I am not sure if they understood me because they didn't respond in a way I thought they would. Luckily I didn't get it on any other clothes, I had to vigorously wash my arms though just in case. Other than that, love the snow crab legs, grilled galbi and pork steaks, and fried shrimp tempura.

please for the love of yourself and your belly... DO NOT GO HERE…read more There was an outrageous line and for what?! DISGUSTING food in a DIRTY atmosphere?! We waited nearly 2 hours for this place and was so excited to go here because of social media and reviews.. oh no no no. It's true what they say - don't believe everything you see online. They have "sushi", "hibachi", and other "Asian" dishes. We tried a little bit of everything and we all ended up getting FOOD POISONING! DO NOT GO HERE.. don't say I didn't warn you. You're better off just bringing your party to get food from a random gas station in the boonies

Came to the Rosemead location to celebrate a family member's birthday on a Friday evening. We were…read moreable to call ahead earlier in the morning and ask if we could be on the wait list or reserve a table. They told us they could reserve a table for us at 6pm. We originally were hoping for 7 or 7:30, but based on how busy and popular this place is I can see why they said no. Come early and get seated right away and there's still ample parking in their parking lot. By the time we left at 7:30p, the lot was packed and people circling around hoping to snag a spot from folks leaving. The restaurant is pretty large and has about 3 rooms with different size tables and booths. No matter the size of your party, there's a table that will accommodate. The staff were very nice and attentive and FAST! We had our food out probably 15 min after we put in our order! Now...on to the food. We ordered one of the set menus for our party of 7 and it was spot on! As you can see in the pictures we had all the "classics". Our set meal could easily be enjoyed by at least 10 people. We had so many leftovers! The food was all well prepared and sufficiently seasoned. Portions of each dish was plentiful and everyone will be able to get enough to satisfy. My favorite items: lobster (duh!), kung pao chicken, pork chops, and shaking beef. The seafood soup is a great starter, and don't forget to add a little vinegar and pepper! Great restaurant in the SGV. This location is much bigger than their Rowland Heights restaurant, but the food is exactly the same. This is a great alternative to the popular Newport Seafood, so don't sleep on this place!

Been looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant. Haven't been to one in a while. This place was…read morerecommended to us by a friend. Came at 530 pm on a tuesday, and there wasen't anyone here yet. Afterwards it filled up quickly!! The main thing I dont like about this place is they dont have the prices on what your ordering. Which I'll get too at the end. Like any other Chinese restaurant, their menu is super extensive. I love how they have a little bit of everything. And its very well organized too. We ordered the following: 1. Crab and fish maw soup- this soup was amazing. It was just the right temp. Got me sweating. Can easily feed 12 people. Great amount of maw. The consistency is just right. Tasted so good!! 2. Small lobster special- on a bed of noodles. It was about 5 lbs. Cooked well. Could do without. Basically flavors. And it was expensive!! About $30 a lb. So this one dish cost basically the same amount as all the other dishes. Which was just too much. If I knew it was that much I would definitely not have ordered it. 3. Walnut shrimp- not the best walnut shrimp I've had. But it was ok. 4. Garlic shrimp- this shrimp dish was ok. Too many bell peppers and onions. It was just ok. 5. Mongolian beef- flavors were not that great. Very tender though. Could've been better. 6. Sea trout- this was amazing!! I love the sauce. Fish was so soft and tender. The heat, the spice, the sweetness. Some of that sauce in white rice was just perfection. It was really really good. Best dish of what we ordered. 7. Kung pao chicken- this was a really good dish. Crispy bits of chicken. But so soft and tender inside. I love the sauce that it was in. It was by far one of the highlights of the meal. It was good food. Price for everything (except the lobster) was pretty good. Food tasted amazing for the most part. Typical Chinese customer service. Pay at the front. Massively large portions. Solid authentic Chinese food.

Been to their sister company Niku X, which seemed to be a cool place. I honestly didn't know what to expect from this place. We got there about an hour and a half prior to our reservation and informed the gentleman in the front. They seated us pretty quickly. We did the platinum tier. Our waitress, Stephanie, was so kind, sweet, and attentive. She explained everything to us. She helped us with our drinks, she helped me order the food and explain how the ordering works. Food and drinks came out super fast. I'm not used to kbbq, so I was trying to get the hang of cooking lol. The meats that they provide is absolutely amazing. The sauces they have add to the flavor of the meat as well. You can order the food pretty much a few minutes after they bring it to your table if you want to keep ordering. They came out and sang happy birthday to me and gave me a Chubby Cattle Birthday hat lol It's a cool experience, food is great, service was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the service. My wife and I were talking about how incredible it is that they handle such a crazy fast paced environment. If you're looking for a top notch spot for a special occasion, or just to go grab some bomb food, this is an awesome spot to take into consideration! I would definitely recommend it!!

Extremely quick service too! Food was quick to come out, so very minimal wait time between meat orders. Ambiance: 4/5: The decor is great, the only minor setback is the tight location. But there's decent amount of parking. Really enjoyed the openess of this location. Great tables, great seating.
