We tried meats #1-3 from the regular menu and #8-9 from the weekend/dinner menu. Overall, the meat quality was decent, but I would definitely recommend ordering from the weekend/dinner menu if it's available. Those selections were noticeably better than the standard options. The service was attentive throughout our meal. The staff checked in regularly and promptly took our next round of meat orders whenever we ran out. You can order up to three items per round for the table. As expected for an AYCE (all-you-can-eat) hot pot restaurant, there were self-serve stations for vegetables, seafood, noodles, and sauces along the back of the restaurant. It was $34.99 a person for weekend dinner pricing as of Aug 2026 and includes soup options such as: original house, beef bone, spicy beef, miso, sukiyaki, vegetarian(?). Meat option included: prime brisket, wagyu style short plate, prime chuck eye, lamb, pork, chicken, filet, ribeye, and some others i may be forgetting. Soft drinks like pepsi, brisk raspberry, dr pepper were included and self serve. Soft serve ice cream (very mid) and green tea/black tea unsweetened as well. Salad bar had a lot of options and seafood. Kale, bok choy, napa cabbage, spinach, crown daisy/tong ho, mushrooms, kabocha, onion, quail eggs, ramen noodles, japchae noodles, clams, mussels, shrimps, crawfish. Tbh there were so many options which I was really satisfied with. You can tell this place is korean owned. I liked that their meats were very thinly sliced and cooked very fast in the broth. My favorite was the chuck eye. I liked the filet but the slices were too small to enjoy. So about that interaction.. in the beginning when we were getting our soup order taken, we were asking if there is spicy miso available. The server said they have miso and spicy sauce that they can mix together to make a spicy miso broth. We said we wanted to try it first to see if we like it before committing, bc she said that if we wanted to change our broth it would be a $2 or$3 (?)surcharge. (idont remember how much she said but she also said if we wanted to mix different broths in our pots it would be fine but changing out the entire pot for a new pot is an upcharge which didnt make sense to me..) She said yes and was helpful but she mixed some spicy sauce (which was very very spicy like capsaicin sauce) and the cold miso broth together and let us try it. She said if we wanted we can also mix the miso and spicy beef together. She was honestly trying her best to be helpful but trying cold spicy broth like that was very offputting LOL. We ended up doing the spicy beef broth instead and just didnt deal with the miso anymore. I thought the spicy beef reminded me of doeniang korean soybean paste stew. I think this was a nice place to try but this korean style shabu isn't what I'm going for when I'm looking to eat shabu! Finally decided to try All That Shabu in Alhambra this past weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised. When we arrived on a Saturday night, the restaurant was moderately busy, but the wait wasn't outrageous. Our server did a great job explaining how everything worked. It's 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat for $35.00 per person, and you're allowed to order up to three types of meat per round. The restaurant is set up well. Off to the left is a self-serve station stocked with vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, seafood, and other hot pot essentials. Drinks are also self-serve, and they even have a soft-serve ice cream machine if you want something sweet after your meal. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of hot foods available. They offered items you don't typically find at a standard shabu restaurant, which was a nice surprise. I also noticed a sign explaining that the hot food selection changes regularly, so each visit may offer something a little different. There's also a dipping sauce station where you can customize your sauces exactly how you like them. I ordered the house broth, which had a mild, lingering spice. It added plenty of flavor without leaving that overpowering heat that lingers long after you're done eating. My partner chose the miso broth, which was rich, creamy, and earthy--you really can't go wrong with a good miso broth. The meat is sliced fresh after you place your order, and you can definitely tell the difference. The slices were tender and cooked beautifully in the broth. They also offer four different noodle options. I went with the classic egg noodles this time, but next visit I'll probably try the buckwheat noodles since it's been a while since I've had a good bowl with them. When you're finished, you simply pay near the entrance, making the checkout process quick and easy. My only real complaint was that it was a little difficult to flag someone down when I needed more broth added to my pot. I like keeping enough broth in the pot so it doesn't begin to scorch the bottom, and it took a bit longer than expected to get someone's attention. Other than that, I really enjoyed the overall experience. The staff gives you plenty of space to enjoy your meal without constantly interrupting, making it a great place to catch up with family and friends. The music was at a comfortable volume, allowing conversations and laughter to fill the room without having to talk over loud speakers. One thing to keep in mind if you're coming with a large group: the largest table I saw comfortably seated six people. Since the tables are bolted to the floor, larger parties will likely need to split between multiple tables. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Between the fresh meats, customizable broths and sauces, the rotating hot food selection, and the relaxed atmosphere, All That Shabu is a great spot if you're looking for quality hot pot in a laid-back setting. I had All That Shabu a really long time ago in Irvine and remember loving it, but there's just so much competition in OC so I haven't been back in years! I tried it again with my friend the other day because we were in the area. I thought it was just okay and probably wouldn't come back here specifically because there's just a lot of better places, but this isn't bad at all for the price. The inside was huge and dimly lit, and they had a large self serve bar for hot sides, drinks, hot pot toppings like veggies and seafood, sauces, and dessert. It was a great vibe! There's a pretty large variety of broths to pick from which is nice. We both got the spicy beef, which tasted rich and tomatoey so it was different than a typical beef bone broth that I expected! It was nice because the acidity helped to balance with the richness of the meats. Of all the meats, our favorites were the brisket and the beef short plate. Personally I like to know which meats are which but sometimes when I asked, the servers couldn't really tell them apart so it kinda sucked because I wanted to know which ones I actually liked to order more of those. Personally i like number 2 for meat it is fatty. Alot of the other meats dont have enough fat in them. But everyone else likes to eat the other ones. For the broth i get bone. Some people get half spicy and half bone. Service was really good. When we were running low on meat they came by to ask if we wanted more. Great japanese style hotpot, as the name suggests. Service is warm, friendly and fast. It's a huge place with common hotpot place setup, a tiny bit more cramped though so you slightly can whiff the food on the next table. Could be good for you, or the opposite. Disclaimer first, i'm a huge fan of chinese style hotpot. Luckily all that shabu offers a selection of broth and sauces. They are true japanese style, so don't expect mala here, even the chili oil is a bit hidden on containers a bit away from the sauce bar. I tried the spicy beef broth, it has miso flavor and slightly tangy undertone. It has heat, but not spicy at all. The spicy pine sauce and wasabi ponzu (the best!) fulfills my search for heat in this place. All the sauces (except sesame sauce) has acidity/tangyness in it. The meat are good quality and very thin so it's ready in just a few dips. The brisket is fatty, and it's my favorite but only at this place thanks to the acidic profile that cuts through the rich fats. The short plate is very thin and tender, the flat iron steak is more lean. The chuck eye is kinda the middle ground. Unfortunately lamb only served as dinner menu. The vegetable and mushrooms bar have adequate variety, but they only have two kinds of tofu which is soft tofu and fried tofu pockets. No beancurds/tofu skin. They have more selection in seafood though. There's ice cream, soda fountain, green tea and black tea, and even buffet food like fried rice and wonton etc. Overall it's a well-priced hotpot for good quality ingredients, with japanese style broths. I honestly can't believe how busy all the AYCE places are on a Saturday night. After we sat down, a server came by to ask which broth we wanted. I asked what was popular, and he recommended the beef bone broth, so I went with that. My friend ordered the spicy beef broth after the server assured her it wasn't too spicy. I ended up finding my broth a bit bland and later added some of the spicy beef broth to give it more flavor. We tried different beef cuts as well as lamb. Honestly, there wasn't a huge difference among the beef cuts, except that the filet mignon was leaner and therefore chewier than the others. The lamb was okay. We ended up eating more from the bar, which included vegetables, seafood, and cooked dishes. I really liked the corn because it was sweet, and I also enjoyed the chrysanthemum greens (tung ho), which I ate a lot of. As for the cooked food, the deep-fried crab was just okay. The highlights were the japchae and the tteokbokki, while the bulgogi wasn't anything special. At the sauce bar, they had a lot of Japanese-style sauces like ponzu, sesame sauce, and wasabi ponzu. Soy sauce and chili oil weren't at the sauce bar but were located near the drink station. Speaking of drinks, the unsweetened green tea and black tea were also bland. They weren't sweet, but they also lacked a strong tea flavor. I'd say the drinks here aren't great unless you're going for soft drinks. They also had rice available in a large rice cooker if you wanted some. For dessert, they offer soft-serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream. My friend tried it and liked it. I had the sesame balls instead, which were okay. Overall, everything here was just alright. With a $34.99 weekend dinner price, I guess it's reasonable given inflation--if you can eat enough to justify it. They have a warm food area, vegetables, fish area, and etc. The meat selection on the menu is good, and we often get a variety, my favorite is #10 the beef flap. We ordered it twice in case they had given us the wrong meat, but for some reason it was still lean and looked different also. There also wasn't much room on the table for dirty meat plates so I was having to hand plates around and take it back to stack. The broth we selected was bone broth, sukiyaki, and spicy beef. All were very diluted and nearly flavorless. 4.5 Stars This Korean hotpot was recommended by a good friend. Good location (near stores and Sprouts) and ample parking. It gets really busy here! It is good to come in for early dinner. The ambiance has a cool and modern feel. For our broth, we had the Original House. You have a choice of Miso, Vegetarian, Beef Bone, Spicy Beef and Sukiyaki. The best dipping sauce out of all the ones they had there in my opinion is the sesame dip. It is a little bit tangy with some sweetness in it. For the meat, we got #1 Angus Beef Brisket and #3 Angus Flat Iron Steak. Both are delicious. Customers can order up to 3 items per round. There are a lot of choices of noodles, seafood, veggies, etc. For the drinks, you have sodas and iced teas (black tea and green tea) and alcoholic beverages. What makes this place unique also is that they have soft serve ice cream available for dessert. You do not have to go somewhere else! The flavors are vanilla, chocolate and half vanilla and half chocolate. No toppings available, but not a big deal at all. I really wanted to like All That Shabu, but unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience. While having a fountain drink, I noticed something floating in my cup after taking a sip--turns out, it was a small roach. Needless to say, I was shocked and disgusted. I immediately let the staff know. The worker took my cup, spoke with his manager, and brought me a clean one. However, the way it was handled felt very nonchalant, almost like it wasn't a big deal. When we asked if they could offer a discount given what happened, it seemed like they really didn't want to, and in the end they only took $5 off the meal. It didn't feel like they took any real responsibility, and the response left me feeling brushed off. Accidents happen, but how a restaurant handles situations like this really matters. For me, the lack of genuine concern or proper acknowledgment was disappointing, and it's not an experience I'd want to repeat. read more

I haven't been here in a while and decided to go today. It wasn't busy but then sat me behind where the staff hang out. Around 9 they started to harass me to pay out so they can close the register. There were many other guests. I was trying to deal with something but they kept on coming and coming and I finally told them. I had a trauma thing happen and I thought some soothing shabu would be relaxing but instead I had to deal with all the clatter and the staff pressing me to leave. Not good and not pleasant. I saw the woman take a pic of the register. It was one guy who wanted to go home early. Anyways. Not a pleasant experience at all. read more

It was my first time coming here and I came here for my birthday but also a friend's going away get together. We had 5 people and they wanted to split us in 2 tables. They weren't close to each other so we requested a bigger table to sit together. Food was mediocre. Honesty probably won't be back. One of the servers was nice enough to store my cake away so that's nice of her. One incident that stood out to me was when we were trying to order more meat. There are 3 girls and 2 guys and we ordered maybe a plate each. A different guy server came to get our order and when we told him what we wanted, he said "are you sure? We charge for leftover meat and you guys don't look like you're going to finish it" it was more so the tone and look he gave us while saying all this that rubbed us the wrong way. I think the notification of charging for leftover meat should've been told in the beginning if he wanted to bring it up. It's common knowledge at ayce that leftover food is charged to discourage wastage but telling us that and saying we're not gonna finish it kinda rubbed us the wrong way. Well, we did finish it and we joked with the server like hey look we finished the meat and started laughing and he just dogged us and gave us an offended look. We were okay with brushing it off but this guy's attitude towards us just ruined it. Honestly expected a better experience as my first time! It was my birthday too. I love this shabbu place so much! It's always so clean, never a long wait, and the buffet is great quality! I always bring my friends here because this plaza has free parking too. 10/10 recommend trying shabbu here, I get the spicy beef broth. read more
