The food were okay, The fires were way to salty but i still ate it. And my lemonade tasted way too much like water.

He patiently guided me through the vast selection of items on the menu and kindly answered all of my questions. It was only right that I ordered Theo's favorite: Jim's Breakfast Burrito. I watched as he swiftly and deliberately entered in my order, wasting no time selecting the combinations of buttons on the screen. If I were to describe my experience at Jim's with one word, without a doubt it would be "reassurance." When I took a seat facing the counter, I saw other customers who ordered after me receive their food as I continued to wait. At first, I felt uneasy. Did they forget about my order? Just as I was ready to ask about the status of my breakfast burrito, the young soul called me up to ask about my choice of salsa. Next to him was my burrito, carefully wrapped in the finest parchment. I gave my final "Thank you's" and "Goodbye's" as I departed an experience I will never forget. It was an absolute honor being served by Theo. This gentleman has a very bright future ahead of him! Will definitely become a frequent customer here at Jim's!

This place has some items that are amazing and other ones that you can just do without…read more I came here for Dine La for lunch and here's what I felt about their menu. First off, the takoyaki octopus balls were full of flavor. I feel that this place does them really well. You don't feel overwhelmed by any seafood tastes and instead, you get well balanced flavor throughout every bite with the combination of the ball itself, the sauces and the flakes on top. Next is the omurice. The egg is cooked to perfection and tastes absolutely amazing. The curry, however, which was recommended by the waiter over the Demi glaze, tasted exactly like the Vermont curry cube you get in the grocery store, so I'm not sure why he recommended that over the Demi glaze. The fried rice within the omurice was alright too. Originally, I wanted to get the tonkatsu omurice but got it on the side as the choice wasn't available for the lunch menu. I would suggest doing without the tonkatsu because it was dry and there's a million and one places that can do tonkatsu better than this place. Honestly, I wish I had the opportunity to cut the omurice myself and choose how much curry I put on it, but the staff did that instead, which I guess made for a good video, but took away from my innate desires to cut the egg on my own haha. Next, the ramen tasted pretty basic like what you could get at any ramen shop. For the chicken wings, I've never had chicken wings in this flavor. They were really really good and I would definitely recommend the wings. For the desserts, I enjoyed both the matcha and the snow globe. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, however. The snow globe is a gelatin and it doesn't really have too much flavor until you get to the parts with the flower. Plus the little clear balls have a nice flavor and texture. For the matcha, it has an interesting texture and then an interestingly light, yet deep matcha flavor. Oh the drinks. The Thai tea tastes exactly like how it does everywhere else. The amazing lemonade is a lemonade with a few slight modifications, like with cucumber and maybe some other things as well. For the service, it's pretty good here. Everyone is pretty attentive. There are three things at the table, such as cayenne pepper and two other bowls you can add to your dishes to add flavor. I forgot the name of the one I liked but it looked kind of like pork floss or loose tea, and that one had a lot of flavor. I think what's most appealing about this place is the ambiance because you can like sit in a honeycomb, there's fancy designs everywhere and you feel like you're in a different place. I think it's a good restaurant but it's kind of weird how some things here are amazing and some are just okay.

I'm almost speechless, but I guess I do have to write something don't I?…read more This legendary casual eatery is everything you want it to be: fresh ingredients, friendly service, delicious food and generous quantities. I don't know where they got the name for their fantastic Sycamore Sandwich, but it's a pastrami reuben with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut, and it very well could be the best I've had outside of New York. Thin, mostly lean pastrami stacked with Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and homemade Thousand Island dressing served hot on grilled rye bread. A heavenly handheld! The thin, crispy onion rings were cooked perfectly, to where the coating was almost falling off, and just oily enough to give moisture and flavor, but not greasy. The fresh, thin, hand cut fries were great by themselves but then add the beef chili and melted cheese, it could be a great meal by itself. Don't forget the Patty Melt, too. Old fashioned, comfort food that you order at the counter or drive through that's worth a side trip if you're anywhere close (or even not close) to Pasadena.

My biggest complaint is the cleanliness, since there were quite a few flies flying around, with some even landing on the booths that I sat in. The booths also looked fairly dirty, which isn't really appetizing if you're planning to eat inside. Service - 10/10 The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. No complaints. Food - 7/10 Tops Special Burger - 6.5/10 Honestly, the burger was just okay. The presentation was nice, but everything else was pretty average. The pastrami had good flavor, although some pieces were oddly chewy. The beef patty also tasted like it had been frozen, which kind of just took away from the burger. Chili Cheese Tots - 7.5/10 The tater tots themselves were great, they were perfectly crisp and cooked well, but, the chili cheese was a bit underwhelming, since I could barely taste the chili. Overall - 7.6/10 (for dining in) the food is decent and id say that its an okay spot if you're looking for a quick bite, and they give fairly large portions. Other then that, I'd recommend using the drive-thru instead of dining in. It's way faster, and you won't have to deal with the cleanliness and long waits inside.

So happy to see more Xi'an food popping up around SGV, especially when it's done this well. As…read moresomeone born and raised in Xi'an, the flavors here felt genuinely authentic, and I already know I'll be back. We ordered the Youpo Noodles with Beef Brisket, Marinated Beef Sandwich, and Cumin Lamb Sandwich. The marinated beef sandwich was the standout. They absolutely nailed the execution, from the tender, flavorful meat to the texture of the bread. I would come back for this alone. It immediately took me back to eating rou jia mo from a street cart while walking around Xi'an, which is about the highest compliment I can give it. The noodles were freshly handmade, wonderfully springy, and completely soaked with flavor. The beef brisket made them even more satisfying. The cumin lamb sandwich was the only item I felt slightly on the fence about. The filling was good, but I personally wanted a little more seasoning and a stronger cumin flavor. The interior is spacious and clean, service was fast and painless, and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Such a great addition to Arcadia and easily one of the better Xi'an spots I've tried in the area.

XiAn Foodie 李老三 serves food that is not only delicious, but authentic and full of soul. The handmade noodles were impressive. perfectly chewy and springy, soaking up the rich sauce. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying! The lamb skewers, beef skewers, beef shank noodles, lamb & carrot dumplings, and oil-splashed noodles are all highly recommended. Everything was tender, aromatic, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to flavor and ingredients. Spice lovers will definitely be happy here, but even if you normally don't eat spicy food, you'll still find yourself going back for bite after bite. The restaurant itself is simple yet elegant, clean, and comfortable, with the warm feeling of a beloved local spot. The service is friendly, and the food comes out quickly, creating a relaxed and welcoming dining experience. Especially after a long day, having a hot bowl of their oil-splashed noodles feels genuinely comforting. If you enjoy unique Xi'an cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You can taste that the flavors have not been overly adjusted just to appeal to the masses. Instead, the restaurant preserves the authentic spirit, warmth, and bold flavors of traditional Xi'an cooking.

I finally got to try on a random night. Amboy is located inside Haven City, which is a cool food hall that has tons of food options and seating. Amboy is pretty easy to find. I opted for an Amboy classic (single patty) and garlic fries. It did take a little bit of time, which I didn't mind so I could wander around and look at all the food options. Once the food came out, I dug in. The burger was delicious! It had simple ingredients, but everyone just came together. Garlic fries were also a huge portion and pretty tasty. Although I really enjoyed the garlic fries, I think next time I might opt for just regular fries because I felt the regular fries would be perfect with the burger. Definitely will be back for some delicious burgers and fries. Also, Haven City has tons of large TV's and they play dodgers games. For starters we ordered the bacon wrapped dates with bleu and mascarpone cheese and tempura green beans. Our entrees for the evening were the poblano burger with side salad and the chicken breast with mushroom risotto and broccolini. There was no room for desert otherwise I would've gone with the bread pudding. This is definitely a must try if in the Monrovia area.
