Taco Ensenada in Monrovia is located across from the large plaza with Kohl's and Trader Joe's, with plenty of parking available. I came on Taco Thursday, where they offer a 2-for-1 deal on select meats, including beef, chicken, carnitas, and cabeza. Normally, each taco is $3.39, but with the deal, I got 8 tacos for less than $15. I tried the carnitas and asada, and personally preferred the carnitas. Both were on the salty side, but the self-serve onions and lime helped balance the flavors. I recommend bringing cash since there's a 3% fee for credit card transactions. There weren't too many people, likely because of the rain, so seating was easy to find. The interior is smaller than the Duarte location but has a similar theme. The service was great--quick and friendly. They kept the tables clean and made sure the self-serve station was well-stocked. Overall, the affordability and convenience make this place worth a visit.

Ignore recipe I put the wrong one. 4 fish tacos for 8.27

Fish tacos are better than the meat tacos it's buy 2 for one not sure what that means but you need to buy four to get better price. If you get four you pay about 2.00 a fish taco. I took a picture of the wrong receipt it was for in and out but the fish tacos are from here. For 4 fish tacos it is 8.27.

I was in the area from Palmdale and hungry, as you can see lol I couldn't decide because everything looked so good and it was! I ate up everything and it was very tasteful I'm no chef, just a SoCal Realtor but I would recommend

First time here, even though I've driven by this place a few years already, and have been saying I'd check them out! I finally did, and very glad to say it didn't disappoint, despite being a fast food joint! Friendly staff, with a bright and clean restaurant, I found the décor fun and colorful, like a beach spot. I ordered a couple shrimp tacos and a couple buche tacos...I know they are known more for their seafood items, like fish tacos, but I like buche, and wanted to see what this tasted like! My husband ordered a chorizo & egg breakfast burrito, despite this being dinner, LOL. Everything tasted really good, and the portions were healthy as well - the burrito was nice and big, and they didn't hold back on ingredients for the tacos. Their salsas provided had a really good kick, which I appreciated! The buche was not the best I've had, but it was still quite tasty, though a bit more chewy than I liked. I'd stick with their seafood items the next time I come! Other thing I found really cool was the cold storage "fridge" that they kept their cut onions, jalapeños and lime slices...it kept everything cold and covered, and when you opened it, the condiments smelled really delicious, lol. They have little containers and a box with small plastic bags for customers to take. It's a good staple for a sit-down location that's not a food truck! I am looking forward to trying some of their other items when I'm hungry for some seafood!

Fish Taco Combo. Delicious and very reasonably priced.

My top places for Fish Tacos are: Tacos Ensenada makes my favorite fish tacos, besides my number one spot : Ricky's Fish Tacos (no longer in Los Angeles). My third favorite is Taco Nazo. My husband and I prefer Taco Nazo 's menu offerings better (Ceviche, Seafood Cocktails, Beef/Chicken Tacos/Burritos), but we both agree that the fish tacos here at Tacos Ensenada are very good -maybe a tad better than TN. Fish Tacos here 5 stars/ other stuff we got : shrimp cocktail/chicken tacos 3 stars. Prices here are great! Service polite. Parking available in their private lot. Street parking is nice and safe (it's Monrovia). -Payment: Cash/Card (weird fee).

Ok fish taco fans...I came here because the reviews were saying it was better than Taco Nazo! I will say the menu is a mile long so there's definitely more options but the Taco Nazo is still my fave and the large chilli, TN has the spices down! But the fam did love the surf and turf nachos! We'll be back for sure to try other items!

    Shrimp and Octopus taco

I like this quaint little place, located in an original Taco Bell building. The staff is very friendly and the seating is like being in a clean small restaurant in Mexico. They have an extensive menu. I had a taco loaded with shrimp and octopus (very tender) cabbage and sauce, everything blended so flavorfully well. My wife had a carne asada taco. They have a small salsa bar and we both had a chili pepper. I usually have the pepper warm theirs are cold and I enjoyed it being cold. I would have had two tacos instead of one but we wanted something light not to spoil our dinner. I will be back for more.

I was really looking forward to trying this place since it's close to my house, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The fish tacos were soggy, with barely any cabbage, pico, or crema, leaving them bland and lacking flavor. I also ordered the combo plate, which came with less than a scoop of rice and beans--not even close to a satisfying portion. For $10.99 for the combo and $3.75 for a single fish taco, I expected much better quality and value. Honestly, I've had far better fish tacos in East LA and at Taco Nazo. Definitely not worth the price.

Shrimp Quesadilla was yummy! I think the shrimp was well-seasoned making the quesadilla flavorful. The restaurant is small, but fine for your lunch break. Staff expectation was standard; nothing to complain or rave about.

We travel almost 30miles the best ceviche tostadas and shrimp tacos!

The food is delicious! The ceviche tostadas are perfect and the shrimp tacos are soft and crunchy with the best salsa.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. We did run into a minor snag--the kitchen printer actually ran out of paper right as our order went through, which led to a bit of a delay. However, this is where the service truly shined. Rather than leaving us wondering, the staff was incredibly transparent and apologetic. They went above and beyond to make it right, surprising us with a round of drinks and a big bowl of fresh guacamole on the house while we waited. It's rare to find a place that handles a mistake with such grace and generosity. The tacos themselves were high-quality, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. It feels great to support a small business that clearly values its customers. If you're looking for great food and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, look no further!

They are open till 11:30 PM, and they had a line of connoisseurs at 10 PM. I can see why! Their tacos are served hot and made on the spot. Their Asada Tacos with red sauce is great; they give it a great char and their salsa roja is savory and smoky. I especially love their Al Pastor Tacos: spicy, tender pork, with the sweetness of fresh pineapple to give that extra brightness and acidity. By far one of the best Al Pastor tacos I have had in a while, and they get extra bonus points for topping theirs with pineapple as some tacos trucks in LA don't do that all the time. Just thinking about it and typing this makes me want to head there but I will just have to wait till next time. Pro tip - the sprinklers go off on Santa Anita Ave around 10:30 PM, and my friends and I got sprayed so be careful not to stand on the grass during that time.

One time I ordered 4 tacos, 1 burrito, a drink and churros and it took them longer than 25 minutes to be ready. The people who dined in that were behind me in line were served first. This defeats the purpose of takeout... also they burnt the heck out of my churros and still have them to me like that. Their employees are rude especially the girl with the fake red hair. She' s vulgar talking to coworkers instead of customers and a rude attitude. She was rude with an attitude when asked her about drink prices (not on the menu) and a question about the salsa bar . She made me feel like I was a bothering her after spending over $50 in their establishment. The way she behaves makes you think she owns the business. Another thing is that they don't listen or pay attention to your order. Both in person and for delivery they end up messing up your order. It was simple no onions on 3 tacos and they always mess up my son's food. Now I have an angry and hungry little kid on top of the experience. I keep going back because their food is good and kind of hope to have a better experience. I don't I'll go back, it's a shame but it's not worth it anymore.
